Charlotte Page 12

“Um…nothing’s wrong.” She starts to turn away from me when I stop her. Her eyes meet mine with uncertainty. Tears are beginning to well in her eyes. Something is definitely wrong.

“Charlotte, talk to me. What did I say or do wrong?”

“It’s nothing…I…I’ve just never… Until you, my husband was my only lover. We weren’t adventurous in bed. He didn’t like going down on me even though he liked it when I did it for him. We mostly only did missionary and cowgirl. I never felt comfortable doggy style.” Her voice quavers. “It seems so impersonal. That’s what Tweedledee was going to do to me. Do you not want to look at me?” Tears are now falling down her face. She thinks I don’t want to look at her. She couldn’t be any more wrong. I just need to show her.

“Charlotte, love. I love looking at you. You face, your body.” Taking her face in my hands I place a gentle kiss on her lips. “I promise anything we do will be anything, but impersonal. It’s just a different position.” She is looking at me so trustingly. “Don’t let him in our bed, love. Let me show you how good this can be.” Rolling her onto her stomach, she comes up on her hands and knees. Wanting to make sure she is ready for me; I kneel behind her and take in the scent of her arousal. She looks back at me over her shoulder her eyes wide. “Are you smelling me?” she asks disbelievingly.

“Yes, I am, and you smell amazing. Just your scent almost undid me. That smell makes me remember how hot, tight, and wet you are.” Done talking, I lean into her hot sex and lick from one end to the other. She shivers under my tongue and I smile. She’s going to like this. Feasting on her like this is amazing. She is dripping wet and the more I touch her the more she moves. She is basically fucking herself on my face and her juices are all over my beard and mustache. When she is quaking about to fall over the edge, I raise up and inch my hips closer to her. My hardened length slips inside her hot depths. We moan at the same time as I bottom out inside her.

Leaning back on my heels, I take her with me. Her legs are spread wide and she comes up on her knees only. Her hands grip my arms as I steady her by I wrapping my arms around her chest cupping her breasts. Her head falls back onto my right shoulder. Lowering my right hand to her clit, I begin to rub it slowly. She jerks at my touch.

“That’s it, love. Ride me,” My hands move to her hips to raise and lower her on my dick.

“Lean forward so we can move, baby.” She falls back onto her hands and I follow her down. Leaning over her back I continue to manipulate her clit and left nipple with my hands while my hips pump in and out of her. She is meeting my actions by pushing her hips toward me with every thrust. The more we move the harder the thrust. The slapping of flesh on flesh and our moans are the only sounds in the room. She comes hard after a few moments and I am grateful. I’m not 18 anymore and the third time in about 12 hours, I’m not lasting long. My hands move to her hips as I pound into her. I follow her over the edges as she strangles my dick with her hot pussy walls. We collapse on the bed in exhaustion. Chuckling it occurs to me we need to shower again as we are covered in sweat and sex again. We don’t have any appointments today, so sleep comes again in moments.

The ringing of Hawk’s phone wakes me from sleep. It is late morning if the light coming in the window is any indication. His breath hits the back of my neck as he huffs out a sigh. He untangles himself from me as he twists around to get his phone off the nightstand on his side of the bed. I whine and try to snuggle back into him. My body is still like Jell-O from the multiple orgasms he has given me over night and early this morning. He picks up the phone looking at the screen and frowns. As he answers the phone, he settles back on the bed and snakes his left arm around me, pulling me to him. I sigh contentedly and snuggle into his side.

“Hawk here. What’s up, Captain?” Hawk asks as he answers the phone. He looks down at me, smiles, then places a kiss on my temple. I draw little circles in his chest hair while he listens to the Captain. I can’t hear what is being said, but I feel Hawk tense. Something is upsetting him. I raise my head to look at him and see if I can tell from his expression what is wrong.

“What? How the hell did they find out she is here?” Hawk demands. “Have we got a leak? Or is the pentagon trying to get some positive publicity. Some damn Senator up for re-election?” Hawk seems pissed. Who could know that I am here? Only my kids know where I am recovering.

“Do you think that is wise?” Hawk asks. There is a pause. “I understand. I know it would make the press even more curious. Ok, we are just getting up. She’s still having trouble sleeping. Give me an hour.” Hawk clicks the phone off.

“What’s wrong? Who knows I’m here?” I ask running my hand over his chest trying to soothe him. I don’t want him to be upset, especially over me. Hawk turns to me. He places his hand on my face.

“It seems some of your friends are here and they are demanding to see you. Captain tried to convince them that you aren’t here, but they insist they have it on good authority that you are here. So, we are going to get ready, eat again, and go see who these people are.”

“Ok” I move to leave the bed. Hawk reaches for me. He pulls me to him and kisses me passionately. He sighs deeply. He looks at me so intensely. I try to figure out what he’s thinking. “Come on love. Let’s get this over with.”

We shower and dress quickly. Then we eat a quick snack. My mind is racing trying to figure out who could be here to see me. How did anyone find out? My kids would not tell anyone. They know how important it is to keep my story out of the news, at least until the SEALs can complete their mission. All the time and effort they have put in would be wasted, not to mention it could endanger the soldier’s lives.

Once we are ready to go, Hawk calls Ace who shows up in a few minutes in a SUV to take us to the command center on base. When we get there, Deadeye, Straw, Tank, Mercury, and Wallace meet us at the door. They surround me as we enter the complex and move toward the conference room. We stop outside the door. Hawk and Deadeye insist on going in first to assess the situation. They return a few minutes later with Captain Olson.

“Charlotte, there are some people here that claim they know you. A Dr. George Jones, a Lisa Winters, and a JoAnn Walters.” Captain Olson explains. “Do you know these people?”

“Yes, they are my co-workers and were my traveling companions to Guatemala.” I am in shock that they are actually here. How did they find out that I was here? What will they think? Are they upset with me about wondering off and getting taken? Why am I even worrying about what they think? I am the one that suffered so much, but it’s in my nature to worry about everyone, but me.

“You don’t have to see them, but I think it would be best to assure them that you are ok.” Captain Olson tells me. “I think that Dr Jones will have 48 hours on us if we don’t let them see that you are safe and are being cared for.”

“It’s fine Captain Olson. I will talk to them,” I reply. Hawk takes my hand then and leads me into the conference room. Dr Jones, Lisa, and JoAnn are sitting on the far side of the table. Virus, Hack, and Worm are standing against the far wall. As we enter the room, Dr Jones jumps to his feet and rounds the table. Heading for me, Hawk immediately pushes me behind him as Ace and Deadeye move to restrain Dr Jones.

“What the hell is going on?” Dr Jones demands. “Why are you keeping her away from us?”

“Calm down, Dr Jones. We aren’t trying to keep her away from anyone,” Captain Olson says as he enters the room behind us. “Charlotte has been through quiet an ordeal. She is still healing. The guys are just trying to keep you from causing her pain, by your over zealousness.”

Dr Jones stops his struggling. He peers around Ace’s shoulder. “Charlotte? Are you alright?”

“Yes, I’m fine Dr. Jones.” I say as I start around Hawk, but he keeps me behind him. “I’m still healing. I had some broken ribs. It’s still difficult to get around. The guys were afraid you would try to hug me or something and it would hur
t me. They are just protecting me.”

“How about we sit down? We can let you all visit a few minutes.” Captain Olson says in a soothing, but commanding tone.

Lisa is coming toward me slowly. I reach out for her and she grips my hand. Tears fill my eyes as she begins to cry. I place my arms around her. She gently hugs me back.

“I was so worried. I thought we would never see you again,” Lisa whispers to me.

“I know.” It’s all I can manage to say. My throat is tight with emotion. All the time I was in captivity, I had wondered if I would ever see them again. Hawk places his hands on my shoulders. I look over my shoulder to look at him. He motions me to sit at the table. We move to the table and Hawk helps me to sit. He takes the chair next to mine and places his hand on my knee under the table. Dr. Jones is eyeing us with concern.

“Charlotte, tell me what is going on here. Why didn’t you come home once you were back?” Dr Jones asks irritation easy to hear in his tone.

“Charlotte was severely injured. She spent several days in the hospital.” Hawk answers for me. He is tense. His hand is tightening on my knee as he speaks. “She needs to recover before she can travel. Her doctors have recommended she remain close so they can follow up with her. She needs to see them frequently.”

“I had a collapsed lung, multiple contusions, lacerations, rib fractures, and a head injury. The doctors have advised that I remain here close to them for follow up,” I try to explain to placate Dr Jones.

“That is of no consequence. I can arrange a medical transport for her to return home. She needs to be with her family and friends. I will arrange for whatever specialists you need, Charlotte.” Dr Jones practically growls at Hawk. As if he didn’t even hear what I said.

“She is not going anywhere!” Hawk almost shouts. He is definitely pissed. I reach over and place my hand on his face.

“It’s ok Hawk, I am not going anywhere,” I say to reassure him.

“Charlotte, what are you saying? Of course, you are coming home as soon as I can arrange it,” Dr Jones says with conviction. I can feel the tension building in the room. The Marines are on edge. Dr Jones looks like he is going to burst a blood vessel. Lisa and JoAnn are looking on in confusion. They look from Dr Jones to me and Hawk.

“Dr Jones, I appreciate your concern, but I don’t think going home is the right thing to do at the moment. I need time to process everything that has happened to me. I need time to heal,” I declare. “My psychiatrist is here. I am not ready to deal with the press. They will be hounding me if they know where I am. There are some very bad men that are still looking for me. I just can’t deal with that right now. Captain Olson and Hawk are making sure I am safe and protected.”

“A psychiatrist? What the hell happened down there? Where did you go? We got up and you were just gone. We looked everywhere and couldn’t find any trace of you,” Dr Jones demands. “Why did you wander off and get yourself kidnapped?”

“Are you fucking serious? You are blaming her for being kidnapped and tortured for months?” Hawk yells. “Some friends you are.”

“What were we supposed to think? You disappear in the middle of the night. Nothing was out of place. We all know how you have trouble sleeping. What did you do, decide to go for a walk and get lost? You have always thrived on attention,” JoAnn speaks up. She had been unusually quite while the drama was unfolding.

“What the Hell JoAnn?” Lisa yells at her. “You can’t be serious. Charlotte wouldn’t purposefully put herself in harms way and you damn well know it.”

“Oh, come on Lisa. Charlotte is always doing something to get attention.” JoAnn sneers.

Hawk jumps to his feet, taking my hand and urging me to my feet. “We are done here. You have seen she’s alive, so we are leaving. You will go back to Hicksville, USA and live your lives. You will not tell anyone where Charlotte is or there will be serious consequences. Are we clear?” Hawk has me on my feet now and he’s moving us toward the door. Ace, and the others move in behind us forming a protective barrier.

“Is this for real?” Dr Jones shouts. “I have connections. I will go to the damn White House if I have to. You can’t keep her hostage.”

“I am not hostage,” I assert. “I understand you are confused about everything that has happened. Hell, I lived it and I am still struggling with it. I need to stay here. I’m not going to explain to you why, but I do. I will be coming back home at some point, but for right now. I am where I am supposed to be.” The stress from this confrontation and in my weakened condition it all just becomes too much. I feel myself falter, but before I can hit the floor, Hawk has once again swept me up off my feet.

“Captain, I need to get her home. She’s over done it. She needs to rest,” Hawk looks at me with concern. He is already heading for the door.

“Alright, Hawk. Take care of her. I will talk to you later,” Captain Olson dismisses us. Straw opens the door of the conference room and Hawk carries me out to the waiting SUV. I feel bad that they are so upset, but I just can’t go back right now. I am afraid. I’m afraid of Lopez’s men finding me and taking me back to Hell. I’m scared that I will lose control again without Hawk to bring me back to reality. I cling to Hawk like the lifeline he is as he settles me on to his lap in the back seat. I lay my head on his shoulder and close my eyes. While we wait for the others to pile into the SUV.

“I’m so sorry, love.” Hawk whispers in my ear. “I should never have allowed this to happen. I knew you weren’t up to a confrontation. We should have told those fuckers to fuck off.” Hawk growls in frustration. I raise my head up and place a gentle kiss on his cheek. He looks down at me with such tenderness in his eyes. I smile at him. I want to assure him that I am going to be fine. Hawk settles me into the seat and buckles my seatbelt.

Ace is behind the wheel with Deadeye riding shotgun. Tank has climbed in beside me. The others follow us in another vehicle. Once we arrive back at the house, Hawk carries me back inside and puts me to bed. The others set up watch in case my friends try to find me. I am out before my head hits the pillow.

  Chapter 20

  Charlotte

Wakefulness comes to me. My bindings are gone and I’m no longer on the ground. I’m in a bed, where am I? Suddenly, a blinding light pierces my eyes. It’s happening again. They are coming to hurt me again. I have to get away. Scrambling to get off the bed, I hit the floor hard on my right side. Pain shoots through my chest. God it hurts so bad to breathe. They are coming! The footsteps getting closer. I crawl under the bed to hide. A whimper escapes my lips, hush, be quiet, or they will find me. I try to make myself as small as possible. Hands are grabbing on to me, pulling me back. I kick, scream, and fight like hell to get away. I can’t let them do this anymore.

“Charlotte! Please stop fighting. It’s me. Hawk. Come back to me, love.” I hear the words, but it can’t be true. Is my dream really here? He can’t be here. I’m hallucinating again. Why can’t this be over?

“No! Stop! Please don’t hurt me anymore,” I sob as tears streak my face. I have tried not to let them see me cry. It only gives them pleasure to know they are hurting me, but I can’t stop the flow.

“You’re safe. Charlotte. I’m here. I won’t let anyone hurt you.” His deep soothing voice is in my ear and I want to believe him. It needs to be real. Looking around at the arms holding me, I trail them up to his face. It’s him. He’s here? Where are we? How did he find me? Touching his face frowning, he feels real.

“You’re here? How is that possible?” I whisper.

“Yes, I’m here, love. You are safe. I got you out of the jungle. Remember? We are in California, on base.” Hawk tells me patiently. He runs his hands over my back. Looking around, letting my eyes adjust to the light coming from the door. Behind me I see the bed where Hawk made love to me. Over Hawk’s shoulder, I see the bathroom where we showered just hours ago. It’s real? We are safe, in the house on base. Oh, God! I’m losing my mind. It was so real that I was still in that awful shed
. Trembling I fall into his arms. Now he knows just how messed up I am.

“Charlotte? Are you hurt? That was a hard fall you took from the bed.” Hawk is running his hands over me checking for injuries. I want to just fall apart, but I know that if I allow myself to break, I will not be able to come back. I cling to him. He is my lifeline to reality.

“No, I’m not hurt.” I reply. He helps me up and I don’t protest when he puts me back into bed. I close my eyes and feign sleep. It’s just too embarrassing to deal with right now. I just need some time to get my mind cleared. He gets up from the edge of the bed. Instinctively I reach out and grab his hand. He can’t leave me. If I go back there again and he isn’t here to bring me back, I’ll be stuck there forever. “Don’t leave me, please?” I plead. It makes me sound weak and needy. Perhaps, I am. My hope is that he wants to be here for me, that he doesn’t see me as a burden. I hate that I am forced to admit weakness, but I know that I need him above all else.

“I won’t, love. I’m going to get your supper. I’ll be right back.” Hawk assures me in a soothing voice one would use to deal with a frightened child. Nodding I watch as he heads out the door. A few short minutes later he returns with a tray laden down with sandwiches, fresh veggies, fresh fruits, and assorted cheeses. He brings the tray over to sit it beside me. He begins to feed me as he did while in the safe house in Columbia. Where would I be if he hadn’t found me?

After eating, Hawk takes the tray back down the hall. When he returns, he has company. Deadeye, Ace, Wallace, Virus, Hack, Worm, Tank, Mercury, and Straw follow him into the room. They look at me suspiciously, but also with concern. They must think I am broken and I’m sure they are worried about Hawk being mixed up with a crazy person. The men have brought chairs in and they are sitting in a semi-circle around the bed, while some stand along the wall.
