  * * *

She whispered his name, reaching behind her and unfastening her bra. His arm left her waist, kneading her breast gently, and her head fell back, her eyes closed. His hand inside her moved faster, and she gripped the back of the couch, moving herself in time with him. Her gasps turned to moans, but she cried out as she felt him slide a third finger inside her. “God, Garin,” she said in a low whimper, his mouth on her chest. “Please, don’t stop,” she said, the pleading plain in her voice, and in response, his fingers went even faster. His arm tightened, holding her still, and it was only a few seconds before she felt herself flying, her eyes closed tightly.

A few minutes later, he pulled his fingers out, and she leaned back enough to unzip his jeans, and he worked them off before setting her back in his lap, his mouth hard on hers. She slid herself on him, and it was his turn to swear as she began rocking on him. “Damn, Angel,” he breathed, and she chuckled. His hands were on her hips as she moved against him, and he couldn’t help but stare at the muscles in her stomach, watching as they contracted and relaxed as she continued to move on him. It was almost hypnotizing. She couldn’t help the low cry that escaped her when she felt herself rushing to the edge again.

He easily picked her up and moved so she was lying on her back, still buried deep inside her, and she wrapped a leg around his waist as he lifted the other one above his shoulder before leaning over and kissing her. It was only a few minutes before she finished, his lips muffling her scream. He fell beside her, breathing heavily, and she turned her head to kiss him before her head collapsed on his arm, and they both laughed weakly. She looked at her phone, and it was only 7:30.

He just laughed, seeing her expression. “Just another day in the exciting life of a high school teenager, huh?”

“Jesus, you can say that again. All these movies coming out talk about parties and this, that, or the other, and it’s really anything other than that. Homework done, practice over with, and bored out of my mind.”

He chuckled, his arms wrapping around her, and he kissed her shoulder, then the back of her neck. “Hmm, I still have a couple of hours before I have to be home, so I think I can figure out a way to relieve some of that boredom.”

She laughed, feeling him stirring against the back of her thigh, and she raised her head to kiss him, his hand on the side of her neck. It didn’t take long before he was sliding into her again, but she soon got to her feet, then pulled him up before pushing him onto his back. She straddled his lap, impaling herself on him, and his head went back, his eyes closed.

Angel leaned over, pressing her lips against his, and they parted willingly, their tongues meeting and exploring. One of his hands was in her hair, the other wrapped around her waist, holding her to him as her hips moved against his, slowly at first, then her riding background came in, and he let her go so she could sit up, his hands on her chest, rolling and playing with her nipples. He was moving with her, and it didn’t take him long before he felt her tighten around him, her head going back. “That’s it, love. Come for me,” he whispered, reaching down and brushing a finger across her, and he laughed, feeling her jump.

She leaned back, her hands on his legs, and he propped himself up on an elbow, still rubbing on her. Her eyes closed, moans turning to cries. “Oh, God, Garin, yeah, yeah!” she said, her head going back, and he felt her hair tickling the tops of his thighs. His hips were going faster and harder, and she couldn’t hardly breathe to say anything else at all.

He stopped before he finished and withdrew from her before picking her up and taking her to her room, where he threw her on the bed. Kneeling, he put his mouth on her, and her back arched up completely off the bed, one of her hands locking in his hair, and he reached up, playing with her breasts again. “Oh, please, right there,” she said in a pant, feeling a tingling start in her toes and began working its way up her legs, and her toes began curling on their own.

Eventually, he got her up on her hands and knees, but he used his mouth and fingers again, tormenting her until she was begging for him to get inside her. After several minutes, he finally did as she asked, and her orgasm was the most intense yet. She propped herself up on her elbows, his hands gripping her waist, pulling her back to meet him before he leaned over, kissing her shoulders and the back of her neck. She turned her head, and his mouth was hard on hers, then he grabbed her hips again, and she got up on her hands, rocking back to meet him as hard as she could. “Oh, hell,” she swore, her eyes rolling back in her head.

He pulled her to the edge of the bed, standing up to drive into her, and she couldn’t even cry out. He called her name as he hit his last few thrusts, and neither of them could move for several minutes. Garin knew he was done, and judging from the way her body was shaking where she’d fallen onto the bed, so was she. It was closer to 9:30, and he set about getting his clothes together. Again, she walked him to the door, and he kissed her, long and slow, his fingers tracing her jawline to her chin. “I’ll call you when I get home?”

She nodded, taking his hand, and he brought it to his lips, kissing the back of it. “Please?”

It was only a few minutes later, and he was video calling her. “Hey, gorgeous. I just walked in the door, and Dad said to tell you hello, and to remind you if you needed anything, to let us know.”

She laughed. “Tell him I said ‘thank you’ and I will.”

She could see him walking through his house, and he went into his room, closing the door behind him. “So, you ready to go to sleep yet?”

She giggled, laying on her bed. “Only a little. I wish you were still here.”

“I know, but I’ll be over after school again tomorrow. I don’t know what you’ve done to me, you bloody amazing woman, but I think I like it, a lot, actually.”

She laughed again. “Of course. What guy doesn’t like getting laid?”

He snorted. “It’s not like that, Angel. Not at all. I like you, regardless of the sex. That’s just a bonus.”

“Good, cause I like you a lot, too. Whatever I’ve done to you, I think you’ve done to me, too, and I know I like it. Like you said, the sex is just a bonus.” She laughed again. “And amazing.”

He grinned. “Well, my ego thanks you.”

She took her robe off and got into bed, setting her phone on the nightstand so they could still talk. He laid down himself, and without realizing it, both of them went to sleep with their phones still on.

  Stirring of Memories

The next three or four days proceeded the same way, with Angel, Adea, and Garin spending all day together at school, and she and Garin would find several ways to pass the time until he had to be home at ten at night. Damien was giving her reports, but so far, he, Diamonique and Neo were proving capable of handling Kane’s lighter attacks. The few times she’d seen Malik at school, he’d do everything he could to get out of her way, so she had a feeling he had no interest in renewing their war.

Selene returned from California that Sunday, and Garin left with his father when Michael went home for the day. The mother and daughter spent the night catching up, and Selene looked at her, an eyebrow raised. “Angel, when are you going to tell me?”

Angel looked confused. “Tell you what?”

“About you and Sathe? I’m not completely clueless, you know. I highly doubt there was much of anything on TV until 2 in the morning that first night.”

Her face reddened. “Well, I mean, yeah.”

Selene burst out laughing. “Come on, Angel. This is you and me. If you’ve had sex with him, you’ve had sex with him. It really isn’t that big of a deal. Hell, you’ll be eighteen in just a couple of months. You told me when you’d lost your virginity. What’s so different about this? Because it’s Sathe?”

“I think so,” she admitted, looking at the fireplace, the flames crackling comfortingly. “Yeah, we’ve had sex, but he’s never stayed the night, and he’s always been home by ten. I don’t know, it just feels different, and like you sa
id, I think it’s because it’s him, not just some guy from school. It’s deeper, like it means more.”

“I understand what you mean. Especially now you have your memories, you know exactly who and what you were to each other, so you’re right. I’m sure it means more than some random hookup from a guy at school. I’ll spare you the whole ‘use protection’ speech, which I’m sure you understand why.”

Angel nodded. As Solarian royalty, there was only ever one child born to the Solarian line. Angel wouldn’t be able to get pregnant until there was no threat of harm to her family, which meant until after the danger had passed from Ciera and her family.

Selene laughed again, looking over at Angel. “Like I said, I remember what it was like when I first met Daniel here, and I understand completely, and here, you don’t have the restraints which kept you and Sathe from being together physically on Solaris. Here, you’re just a couple of regular teenagers. Enjoy it. God knows your father and I did.”

Angel laughed, throwing a pillow at her mother. “That’s gross, Mom.” Selene just laughed, blocking the pillow and throwing her own.

That night, she Face-Timed Garin like they’d done every night, and she sighed, already in the bed. “God, I missed you tonight.”

“I know. I missed you, too, but I figured with your mom getting back into town, I’d probably better spend some time with my own family,” he laughed. “I haven’t seen him that much since we moved. Of course, he gave me the whole ‘be careful’ speech.”

She laughed. “Poor you. So, will you stay after school tomorrow?”

  “Probably,” he said.

“Good, because I want you again,” she whispered.

He smiled. “Your wish is my command, Angel,” he replied. “You heard there’s a party this Saturday?”

“Yeah, April told me about it, and Stacey and Lacey have been begging me for weeks about it. Are you going?” she asked.

“I don’t know, maybe. They invited me earlier, so I was thinking about it. If you go, I’ll definitely go.”

She grinned. “I’ll ask Mom in the morning.”

They talked for a little longer before falling asleep. This time, Angel turned her camera off so her alarm wouldn’t wake him up in the morning.

It went off at 4:30, and she was up and in the kitchen before her mom, and she started the coffee. Selene came down, and she grinned. “Well, I’m glad to see you’re up early this morning.”

Angel grinned, waiting for her coffee to cool. “Oh, I meant to ask you yesterday, but we got distracted by yours and Dad’s sex life.” She wrinkled her nose at her mother, and Selene just laughed. “But, Stacy and Lacey are having a party Saturday, and I was wondering if I could go. Sathe said he might go, and Adea, Ace, Jessie, and TJ are all going.”

Selene thought about it, fixing her own coffee. “Yeah, I don’t see why not. Just remind me the day before, cause you know I like to forget stuff.”

Angel laughed as they headed down to the barns to begin the feeding and watering process. “Don’t worry, I will, and thanks, Mom.”

They finally finished taking care of the horses, and she jumped through the shower before getting dressed for school, and she met up with her friends and Garin in the parking lot. He kissed her, his arms firmly around her waist, and Adea just wrinkled her nose at them. “So, did you ask your mom about the party?” she asked.

“Yeah, and she said it was fine,” Angel said, nodding as they all headed inside.

Once again, she beat Garin in basketball, and he sighed, shaking his head, his hands in fists on his hips. She grinned, sticking her tongue out at him. “Play with someone else if you’re tired of losing.”

“Hell, no,” he said, laughing. “It gives me the best excuses to get my hands on you at school.”

  She laughed. “Dirty mind.”

  “I’m a seventeen-year-old male. Of course, I’m dirty minded.”

At lunch, she stopped by and told the twin sisters, Stacey and Lacey Evans, she’d be coming, too, and they squealed in their excitement. “Yay! There’ll be people there besides us who want to dance.”

“Oh, count me in,” Angel said, laughed, then went to where the others were already sitting down.

The rest of the week passed by, and Friday night, she reminded Selene of the party. Her mother nodded. “Yeah, I remember. Have you figured out what you want to wear yet?”

  “Not yet,” Angel replied.

By the time the night was over with, they’d settled on a tight dark blue mini dress with a chain halter, a plunging neck and back, and a pair of matching heeled sandals. Crystals were dangling from the ankle strap of the sandals, and they decorated the bottom on the dress before gradually fading away toward the top. “You don’t think it’s too much?” Angel asked.

She shook her head. “I know Stacy and Lacey, and this is probably conservative compared to what they’ll have on.”

She went to bed that night, as always on the phone with Garin, and all she would tell him about what she was going to wear was it was going to blow his mind. He sighed, shaking his head. “You’re going to be running around my dreams all night, probably naked, because I have no idea about what you’re wearing.”

She just laughed, and it wasn’t too much longer before they’d fallen asleep. Angel and Selene took a break from the 4:30 routine on the weekends, and she didn’t wake up until almost 9:30. Her camera was still on, and she smiled, hearing Garin snoring softly. She woke a quick note in her notebook and propped it up where he could see it when he woke up that said, ‘See you tonight. Can’t wait! XOXO’

She and Selene cooked breakfast, then started cleaning the house and doing laundry, their usual Saturday routine. Garin called her about six and said he was on his way to pick her up, and she ran downstairs, having spent the last two hours making sure she was ready.

Selene looked her over and nodded. “You look fine, Angel.” She smiled, sensing her daughter’s nerves. “Seriously, Angel. You look great. Don’t worry. I’m sure Sathe will think so, too.”

It took about twenty minutes before there was a knock on the door, and Angel answered it after taking a minute to take a deep breath and let it out slowly.

She opened the door, and Garin’s mouth was open to say something, but it left him as he saw Angel. His eyes widened, and his mouth opened and closed several times before he could finally swallow hard and say something. “Bloody hell, Angel. You look amazing!”

Her smile was bright with relief. “Thanks. So do you,” she said, really looking at what he was wearing. He had a pair of black jeans, a tight red shirt which showed off his broad shoulders and muscled arms, and he had a pair of black and red Jordans, which were obviously new.

Garin looked over her shoulder. “Hi, Ms. Storm.”

She sighed, rolling her eyes. “Garin, how many times have I told you? Selene. Please, just Selene.”

“Yes, ma’am,” he said, and they both laughed.

Angel looked over her shoulder. “Go ahead, dear, and have fun. Just be careful, and for the love of God, make sure one of you is sober enough to drive home. If not, call me or Michael, and we’ll come get you.”

Garin smiled. “That’s the same thing he said, and we will.”

Angel mouthed ‘thank you’ at her mother, and Selene just nodded as she headed outside, closing the door behind her. You’re more than welcome, Angel. Enjoy yourself. You’re only a teenager once, she thought to her daughter.

Garin took her in his arms before they got in the car, kissing her. “God, you look just…” he shook his head. He spun her around, and he laughed, kissing her again. “I don’t even have the words to say it.”

He opened her door for her, and she slid in, and he was getting in on the other side. He’d gotten the address from Stacey earlier, and he plugged it into his GPS. His eyes widened as they pulled up in the driveway. “Holy hell.”

Angel laughed, taking his hand. “Yeah, Stacey and Lacey’s p
arents like to show off.”

  * * *

The house was almost twice the size of Selene and Angel’s, three stories tall, and it was situated just feet off the banks of Lake Placid and had some amazing views of the lake and mountains. They were easily among the best she’d ever seen. The driveway was full of cars, and all three decks were already full of people. Garin got out, then he went and opened Angel’s door, offering his hand to help her out. She took his hand, then led him up to the door to the walk-out basement, which looked as if it was the main entrance. Even from the Camaro, they could hear the music blaring, and Angel was already grinning. They went inside, and kids packed the enormous area. They saw Stacey and Lacey out on the floor, and Angel snickered. Selene had been right. Their tops barely covered their chests, and their bottoms barely covered their butts.

They saw Angel and Garin when they came in, and they ran over, hugging her. “God, I’m so glad you’re here!” they said, kissing her cheek, and they turned to Garin, greeting him. “April’s here somewhere. We lost track of her an hour or so ago, but I’m sure she’ll turn back up soon. So, there’s food and drinks, and then there are drinks, upstairs, so go grab something, and we’ll be here waiting for you, cause dammit, we’re tired of dancing by ourselves.”

Angel laughed. “All right, all right. We’ll be back.”

Garin took her hand, leading her upstairs, and they weaved their way into the kitchen. Stacey and Lacey’s parents were there, fixing plates and pouring drinks. Mrs. Jenkins hugged Angel warmly. “Hey, hun! I’m so glad you could make it!”

“Are you kidding? I wouldn’t have missed this for the world!” Angel replied, then greeted Mr. Jenkins. “Mr., Mrs. Jenkins, this is Garin Sands.”

She pulled him in for a hug, and Mr. Jenkins shook his hand. “Welcome, Garin! Thanks for coming!” Mrs. Jenkins said, grabbed two Styrofoam plates from an enormous stack. “So, what can I get you guys to eat?” She piled their plates, and after they ate, they came back to see Mr. Jenkins about the drinks. Garin got a Jack and Coke, and Angel got two shots of tequila, then a Strawberry Daiquiri, and they headed back downstairs.
