She twisted in his embrace. “Oh—I need to thank Sara.”
“You just did,” Sara told her, the boys at her sides, her hands on their tow heads. She winked. “And Moke’s right. We got your back, girlfriend.”
“Oh, good,” Moke said. “I’ll take your front.”
Then he kissed her, both of them laughing. Someone started up the music again, someone else called that there was a fresh keg on tap.
And all was well in their world. Sweet as Hawaiian honey.
