"Nope, sorry. I have a date with Netflix and my bed," I told him with a wide smile.
He smirked and raised his brows, "how about I join you?"
"Netflix and chill? No thank you," I let out a quiet laugh, looking back down at my phone.
"Your loss," Trey joked, also looking down at my phone as I went to my gallery and found the picture I had wanted to post from the children's zoo.
"Hot damn," I heard him murmur by my ear, which made me grin, "you gonna post that?"
Trey pulled out his own phone and opened Instagram, probably waiting to leave a like and comment on it.
I didn't post many pictures on social media, but I felt like I looked alright in this picture, so why the hell not.
This could also be taken as a sort of message to Hunter, reminding him of me and that night, with the hope of him manning up and talking to me. I missed his dick.
"Yeah," I nodded, opening the picture up on Instagram and, without adding any filter, posted it with a caption 'where the wild things are'.
I watched as Trey, along with a few other people from class, began typing away on their phones as likes and comments began flooding through.
Just as I was about to place my phone down since I usually wasn't one to read comments straight away, one comment stood out from the rest.
Comment by: @hunterreid: gorgeous
Apparently I hadn't been the only one to notice his comment on my post, since murmurs and eyes started focusing on me from the front of the class.
It wasn't an everyday thing for an older student to comment on Instagram posts from our year. Especially Hunter Reid, who was like a mini celebrity thanks to his good looks.
"You friends with Hunter Reid?" Trey asked from beside me, confused.
"Uh.. he's my brother's best friend," I told him honestly, because it was true. I just left out the part about Hunter and I now being friends and fucking.
How could Hunter have commented on my post so quickly, though? And why on Earth did he just risk my brother finding out? Just the my phone vibrated with a text that made me sigh.
From: Alex: Why the fuck is Hunter commenting on your ig??
To: Alex: I don't know. Ask him, he's your best friend.
I then decided to send a message to Hunter. I guess the post had sort of worked in gaining his attention.
Now we could talk and I could get answers. I swear, if he was planning a school shooting or some shit, he definitely needed to let me know.
To: Hunter: why did you think it was a good idea to comment that? alex just texted me...
Just after I'd sent that text, there was an announcement from the loud speaker.
"Willow Knightley, please report to the principal's office."
Well, shit.
---
It felt like walking the walk of shame as I stepped out of the classroom, everyone including myself thinking I had done something bad to have been called down to the principal's office.
It was very rare for Thomas Green, our principal, to call someone down to his office, and I definitely was nervous.
I walked down an empty hallway towards the two glass windows which portrayed his office.
The closer I got, the more I began to realise he wasn't alone in his office.
I was a five steps away from the white closed door when I saw Mr. Green shaking hands with Hunter. They seemed oddly close, as both chuckled at something Hunter had said.
With a million thoughts racing through my head, I opened the white door and stepped inside; immediately greeted by the principal's secretary, Karen.
"The principal wanted to see me?" I asked, walking towards her desk after closing the door behind me.
"Oh, yes," a wide smile broke onto her ruby red lips.
"You can go in," she nodded towards the slightly ajar door, which was his actual office.
I let out a small breath after thanking Karen and walking towards the door, before opening it and stepping inside.
Hunter turned around, so now both were looking at me. The principal gave me a smile and patted Hunter on the back in a friendly manner.
What the hell was going on here?
"You wanted to see me, Mr. Green?" I asked the principal, diverting my eyes from Hunter.
The principal chuckled and nodded, "I'll just go get some coffee, you two make yourselves comfortable."
My brows furrowed while my eyes wondered back to Hunter.
"Sure," he shrugged innocently before the principal left after giving us both a small grin.
I had never seen him this casual and happy, it was extremely strange.
Once the principal had closed the office door behind him, leaving Hunter and I alone, I realised what this all was.
"You went to this much trouble to talk to me?" I raised my brows at my brother's best friend, standing a few feet away from me while crossing my arms over my chest.
He chuckled, glancing away and shaking his head.
"Well... yeah. This is the most private way for us to talk at school, I feel like."
"A few minutes ago you commented on my post. How private do you really want to be?"
He smirked a little, tucking his hands into his front pockets as his eyes met mine.
"You do look gorgeous. Doesn't matter if people know my opinion."
Woah. Woah. Slow down. Was he-? No. It would be too cliché if Hunter had started developing some sort of feelings towards me.
I looked away, the whole idea troubling me. Alex would kill him.
"Are you still mad at me?" His voice brought me back and, as I raised my head back up to look at him, I realised he was way closer than before, almost right in front of me.
"I'm not okay with violence and guns. And until you tell me why you have use for a gun - and why you used me as a cover for when you got it - I'm not okay with you," I told him honestly and he nodded, bringing one hand up from his pocket to tuck a piece of hair behind my ear.
I flinched away slightly and gave him a look telling him that it wasn't okay for him to do that.
"I can't tell you what the gun is for, Willow, but it's to solve violence," he tried to explain, hand now toying with the hem of my shirt as he inched closer.
"You can't solve violence with violence," I pointed out and he sighed.
"I know. But... I'm sorry I can't tell you anything else. Just, trust me?" Hunter gave me a small smile when I lowered my hands to my sides.
I glanced away, sighing. This was getting way too complicated and I didn't like it.
Before I could say anything, though, Hunter continued.
"And I asked you to come with me because I like being around you," he didn't know me well enough to say that, "as well as the fact that I needed a reason to be at the children's zoo at night."
He still wasn't off the hook. I wasn't okay with him having done that.
I should report him to the police, for being this fishy and secretive - as well as now having an illegal gun under his possession for God knows what use.
"Since when are you such buddies with the principal?" I asked and his smile widened a bit.
"We have common interests," he shrugged.
A small laugh left my lips, "I don't think I want to know."
He grinned, "nothing too weird, I promise."
"Good, alright," I nodded, then pointing back at the closed door with my thumb, "I need to go back to class now though, so—"
Before I was able to turn around or take a step back, Hunter had gripped my hip and tugged me against his hard body.
His lips met mine as my hands landed on his chest. I didn't hesitate in kissing him back as his other hand also came up to my side to hold me against him.
"Alex saw your comment," I murmured against his lips, pulling back a bit since I knew nothing else could happen right now, so it was pointless to start kissing.
"Yeah? He's probably going to talk to me about it," he let out a low chuckle as he pulled back properly.
"Probably. I'm going to ask you a q
uestion.
It won't make me okay with you, but I just want to know," I removed my hands from his body, slightly regretting that kiss now as his hands fell from my sides.
Hunter nodded, "sure."
"You're not going to be using that gun to physically hurt anyone, are you?"
Immediately he shook his head, "no, of course not. I'm not into shit like that, Wills, you should know me by now." A small smile was added at the end.
I returned his smile and nodded.
"Good. I'm seriously going now," I took a few steps backwards towards the door even though my body ached to be against his again.
"Okay," he murmured, taking a step towards me.
I wanted to turn around but his eyes stopped me. I opened my mouth to say something as my back hit the closed door.
Hunter was nearing me with a small and growing smirk, hunting his prey.
"Are you going to leave?" He asked, clearly amused by my body's reaction to him. Who could blame me, though? I was horny and he was gorgeous.
"I don't know," I let out a breathless laugh, realising how ridiculous this all was.
I just wanted to fuck, and thankfully Hunter understood that as he walked over to the two windows facing the empty hallway and closed the blinds. He then returned to me.
"Wanna go to mine?" He asked and I found myself shaking my head, completely hypnotised by him.
"Yours?" He then asked, amused. I shook my head again, grabbing his arms and pulling him against me for a kiss.
"A quick fuck, here. I seriously need it," I complained into the kiss, making him chuckle as he pinned me against the door.
"Karen's right behind this door," Hunter grinned mischievously, lips ghosting above mine.
My hands gripped his upper arms harder, "she's sexually frustrated. I doubt she'll mind."

"Woo-hoo!"
I laughed as Trey spun me around in the midst of all the dancing teens from our year. He gave me a wide smile, pulling me against his side when a few of his friends arrived to talk to us.
"I feel like I could punch an elephant!" I declared, and the guys chuckled with their eyes focused solely on me.
I knew Trey keeping me against his body was one part because he was keeping me away from the wondering hands of drunk guys and one part because he liked me.
"I bet you could, beauty," a guy called Daniel gave me a wink and I giggled with a shake of my head.
"I bet if you helped me, we could knock the animal unconscious," I flirted, before realising how stupid it sounded.
Then I just laughed, amusing the guys concentrated on me.
"Too little," I came to the conclusion, speaking above the loud music regarding how much I had drank tonight.
I tried to reach out for a drink, but Trey pulled me back and kept me firmly beside him.
"You're going to throw up if you have another drink, babe," he told me and I nodded.
Thomas, who was an internet famous makeup genius, as well as the host of this party, came to stand with us, giving me a smile.
"Long time no see, William," he shot me a wink, his perfect winged eyeliner making me very jealous.
I grinned widely, "my new year's resolution was to party less."
"New Year's was almost six months ago," he laughed while I just shrugged.
"And how's it working out for you?" Thomas continued while giggles left my lips.
"Extremely well," I raised my arms up, reaching for the sky, "clearly."
He chuckled.
We chatted a bit more, until Trey probably felt like the guys were becoming a little too flirty and touchy with me, so we stepped over to the side.
We were standing in an empty hallway with me leaning against the wall while he kept an eye on me, amused by my drunken state.
"Are you seriously okay?" He asked, letting out a small chuckle when I lazily smiled at him.
"I'm okay," I told him, nodding to myself, "I just want to go home, man."
"Tessa will drive you, right?" Trey asked, knowing I came here with Tessa and that she was to come for a sleepover at mine after this.
I shook my head with a small laugh, "last time I saw her she was completely wasted."
"I can drive you home," he suggested, being completely sober, "let me just find Tessa, alright?"
"Yeah," I murmured, my eyes slipping shut after I grabbed his shirt and tugged him against me.
Before I could stop myself, I kissed him, craving closeness.
Trey immediately pulled back, making me frown as my eyes slowly opened.
"You're so drunk, Will," he let out an awkward chuckle, scratching the back of his neck and suddenly avoiding my eyes.
"You're always flirting with me, Trey. Don't you want to kiss?" I slurred, knowing I would regret this so, so much tomorrow.
"You're so beautiful, but you're also my best friend," he told me, "I don't want to risk that."
I just gave him a small nod, looking away while he went off to find Tessa.
I pulled out my phone and opened my messages.
Texting someone drunk was embarrassing so I avoided Hunter's name and instead texted Alex.
To: Alex: yo wanna come pickk Tes nd me fron Thomas's??
Less than a minute went by until I received an answer.
From: Alex: We're just in the area. Wait outside, we'll be there in a few.
I nodded to myself just as Trey came back with a giggling Tessa.
"Tess!" I smiled widely, wrapping my arms around her as she hugged me.
"Wills," she laughed.
My eyes found Trey's, "my brother's coming to get us. Thanks though."
"Sure, no problem," he gave me a small smile.
It took Tessa and me, with the help of Trey, to make our way out of the house, where the party was already dying down as it was almost 2 AM.
We were standing by the sidewalk, laughing and joking around when Alex's car pulled up.
Tessa got into the backseats first and I followed in after her with a stumble and a laugh.
"Shit, how drunk are you?" Alex asked, chuckling from the driver's seat.
I gave him a grin and a shrug while closing the car door in the backseat.
My eyes landed on someone sitting in the passenger's seat in front of me.
Just as I was about to ask who this person was, he turned his head back to give us both small grins.
It was Hunter. Oh God.
I let out a small breath when he was looking straight at the road again. Hunter was most likely sleeping over at our house.
I caught Alex watching me through the driver's mirror with furrowed brows and narrowed eyes.
"What is it?" I slurred a little with a giggle.
"Are those hickeys?"

"I'm so thirsty," I whisper yelled into the ear of the half-asleep Tessa. For Hunter, I added in my head.
She groaned, hugging her pillow on my bed tighter and furrowing her brows with a displeased look.
"I swear I'm gonna have such a hangover tomorrow," she grumbled and I smiled.
"Same," I told her, "but I'm still thirsty."
"I think Hunter and Alex would hear if we started having sex, babe," Tessa peeked one eye open and I let out a quiet laugh.
"The walls are pretty much sound proof so there's no chance," I giggled, "but I was actually talking about being thirsty for water."
"Why are you waking me up, then? Go get some for your damn self," her eyes closed again and a slow smile formed onto her lips. I grinned and nodded to myself.
Slowly and quietly I left my bedroom, closing the door behind me. I tiptoed past Alex's room and down the stairs, where it was completely dark.
Knowing my way around the house even at night, I made my way to the kitchen and towards the sink.
Before I could place my hands on the counter, I ran into a soft yet hard surface, squishing my face in it.
I let out a small groan, stepping back as I heard shuffling.
