The Big Scoop

“That’s all right,” he replied. “Who likes a soft, mushy cookie anyway?”

Harrison gave me another dashing smile that got my heart rate going even higher than it already was, and pulled. The doors swung open, and the view inside took my breath away.

  Gwen

Oh my God, he has a Koi pond!?

He sure did. It was square and ringed with flat stones and had square slabs leading across it to the other side, where an enormous staircase led to the second floor.

The rest of the floor was marble, and an elaborate chandelier hung above us. The walls were tall and off-white, decorated with large canvases of modern art—I was pretty sure color-blocking was the style.

Harrison clapped his hands once and turned around to face us.

“Now is this a house?” he asked. “Or is this a house.”

Again, I wanted to nod or give him the thumbs up—the house really was spectacular and regal—but I simply nodded and motioned to a room to the right of us.

“If we could start the interview—”

“You trying to get me alone with you?” he asked, surprising me as he took a step forward. It took every bit of willpower I had not to let my eyes drift down to his crotch. His bulge was impossible to hide, and the fabric of his grey designer suit pants was doing nothing to conceal it.

Whatever he had down there was big.

“Yes,” I replied. “Alone for an interview.”

“Audrey,” he said. “Can you call Chris and ask him if there’s anything not finished with the house yet, make sure the TV and internet are working and setup, and—”

“Check the alarms, water, garage, and all the other rooms and make sure your suits have arrived?” Audrey interrupted. “Sure I can. I’ll leave you two…to it.”

With a flick of her eye to me, Audrey smiled, nodded, took the stones across the koi pond, and headed upstairs. Harrison turned back to me and just sort of looked at me for a moment—a moment longer than felt comfortable for a professional setting.

God, he’s handsome…I thought, but then immediately scolded myself. Stop that! This guy’s a playboy jerk here to ruin your town! Do your job and go home!

  “Mr. Night—”

“Let’s go in here,” he said, taking my hand unexpectedly and leading me to the room on the right. “I’m pretty sure this is an office. At least that’s how I had it laid out on the blueprints.”

“Are you an architect as well, Mr. Night?” I asked.

“Call me Harrison,” he replied. “And yes. I’m not certified, but I do all my own drawings for all my houses.”

  Show off.

His hand was strong and firm around mine. I could feel the calluses on his hand, which I didn’t expect, given the pampered lifestyle he was accustomed to living. Probably from the gym or something.

I couldn’t keep my eyes off him as he walked in front of me, pulling me along like one of those trendy Instagram photos that girlfriends always make their boyfriends do these days.

His body was sculpted; I could see his back muscles through the sheer fabric of the loose-neck white t-shirt he was wearing. I could also see he had some sculpted glutes under those suit pants of his, and his triceps looked like they were ready to pop out of his sleeves.

His skin was a sweet, light caramel color, but it didn’t look like a spray tan or a guy who spent time in a tanning bed; it looked real, like he actually spent time out in the sun, and his haircut was perfect—medium length and brushed back like Elvis without the pompadour.

Focus, Gwen! I told myself as we reached the door of the room to our right, which indeed turned out to be an office. But just as we were about to step through, Harrison spun around and headed the other way, pulling me along behind him.

“You know what?” he said as I stumbled in my heels as I tried to keep up. “Let’s go out back. It’s a beautiful summer afternoon and I’ve got a back yard you wouldn’t believe. I’ll have Audrey bring us out some drinks and something to eat.”

“I didn’t come here to have dinner with you, Harrison,” I said. “I came to—”

“I know, you came for the interview,” he replied as he led me across the koi pond. I stepped carefully to avoid ending up wet (as if I wasn’t already). “But I don’t think well on an empty stomach.”

I started to protest, but Harrison tugged me over the last step of the koi pond and around the stairs to a massive glass wall with sliding open doors leading out to an enormous landscaped back yard with lush hedges and rows of flowers.

  “Wow,” I said softly.

“Hey, I think that’s the first nice thing I’ve heard come out of your mouth today,” Harrison smirked as we stepped outside.

The ground felt shaky beneath my feet. It shouldn’t have, as we were standing on a beautiful concrete patio, but it did. In fact, the whole world felt off balance as I stepped up beside Harrison while he still held my hand and looked out at the amazing view.

I may have been staring down the grass at the tall trees out back, but I felt Harrison’s eyes on mine, and when I glanced over at him, I saw an expression on his face that could only mean one thing…

  …and my heart fluttered.

  Keep it together, Gwen!

“Why don’t we start the interview while we wait for the food?” I asked, finally pulling my hand away from his and taking a seat at a patio table nearby.

“Didn’t they teach you anything about patience at…where did you go to school?”

“UNH,” I replied, waiting for Harrison to sit. But he just stood there, towering over me with a bulge in his pants that I could barely keep my eyes off of. It was like meeting a king—an emperor—and I felt myself slowly succumbing to his charms with every second that ticked by.

This guy’s really a playboy jerk? I thought as I looked at him, the sunlight gleaming off his perfect jawline that was graced with just the right amount of stubble.

  He seemed nice…cocky but nice.

That’s probably what all the girls think, Gwen! Right up until the next morning when they wake up alone and never see him again.

He was looking at me like he’d decided to skip the food and eat me instead, and if I was being totally honest with myself, I wouldn’t have minded that.

To say that I wasn’t good with men would be an award-winning understatement, and it had been a long time since any man had given me the kind of attention that Harrison was giving me.

I was a nerd in high school and a nerd in college. I’d let myself get carried away freshman year and fell for the charms of the starting center of the basketball team. He pretended to be a nice guy and I almost gave him my virginity, but then I caught him cheating one night at a sorority party when he told me he was going to be at home working on a Stats project.

After that, I stopped trying to impress guys and they stopped trying to impress me. Now here I was, sitting on the patio of a multi-million-dollar house, being obviously hit on by a billionaire who I was supposed to be doing a story on.

“Good school,” he said. I started to reply, but in an instant, he had pulled up a chair and was sitting beside me.

I froze. Everything stopped but my heart, which had just kicked into overdrive.

I must have looked like a deer in headlights, but Harrison just stared at me like he was waiting for me to do something.

“Do you know how long it’s been?” he asked.

His question was like a gut punch. I was already off balance, but his question sent me spinning.

  How long what’s been?!

  “How—how long?” I stammered. “Since…you’ve eaten?”

“Since a girl has made me feel the way you are making me feel right now.”

  Holy shit.

His words rocked me. I was starting to sweat and it wasn’t from the sun either. Harrison pulled his chair closer; he was right on top of me. A shiver ran through me. I was feeling things I’d never felt before.

I was wet—like, so wet I had to cro
ss my legs to keep from dripping down my thighs.

What the hell is happening to me?

  “No, I—what do you mean—?”

The words were barely out of my mouth before his lips pressed against mine.

My eyes closed, completely out of reflex, and my back arched as my body pushed against his automatically. His strong chest touched mine and I melted. My whole body was tingling with something akin to anticipation, and even though I knew that everything that was happening was wrong, and that Harrison Night was a playboy who only wanted me for one thing, I didn’t want him to stop; I wanted him to keep going.

  Harrison

My muscles were tight and my body was screaming for her. My cock was ready to tear the fabric of my pants to shreds as it burst free. I’d been hard since the ride up the driveway and was desperate to be inside her.

I hadn’t felt this kind of desire in…well, I couldn’t even remember the last time. All I knew at that moment, as I kissed Gwen’s luscious lips, was that I was in fucking heaven.

Her tongue brushed against mine as she let her mouth open. My cock pulsed between my thighs and I could feel a wet spot in my underwear from all the pre-cum that had been leaking out of me since we got out of the Lamborghini.

Remembering what it was like to hold her, I wrapped my arm around her tiny waist and pulled her closer. Her breasts were perfect, bigger than I expected, and I could feel her hard nipples against my chest.

  She’s excited.

I wanted to tear her clothes off her right then and there—everything but the heels—and fuck her silly on the patio table. Then I wanted to take her inside and break in every single room in the house and spend the next week doing nothing but lying around, fucking, and eating gourmet food made for us by the chef.

I wanted to spoil her. I wanted to bury my face between her legs and lick her until she came over and over and over again.

I wanted to make her scream my name in ecstasy, slide deep inside her, and shoot my load. I wanted to claim her.

Gwen was what I wanted, and she couldn’t be bought with money. I had to make her mine, and I wasn’t going to stop until she was.

My hands slid beneath her and lifted her from the chair and pulled her on top of me. Her legs were crossed, but she spread them as I sat her down on my lap, causing her skirt to rise up and slip over her hips, exposing her soft, creamy thighs to me.

I slid a hand between her legs and touched her gently, moving up to what lay between her legs. A smile crossed my lips as I felt the wetness there.

She’s excited too, I thought. But she’s been trying to hide it.

I plunged my tongue into her mouth, my body aching to make her mine. Her wetness coated the tips of my fingers as I traced her thighs. I’d expected to feel the soft fabric of her panties as I moved up, but instead, I felt the warm, wet skin of her pussy lips.

A moan escaped her lips, and without hesitation, I slid a finger inside.

“Harrison!” Gwen burst out, breaking our embrace. “We—we can’t!”

She reached down and snatched my wrist and pulled me back. I let her, but I also held firm as she tried to push my arm back behind me and away from her.

“Not only can we,” I whispered. “But we also should.”

She was trying to save face—trying to maintain some professionalism despite what her body was telling me. My cock was screaming to be let loose and her plump lips had me going absolutely wild.

  Perfection.

“I’m here for the story,” she said, as though she was trying to figure out what to say as she went along. “The story—”

“And I’ll give it to you,” I replied. “After I give it to you.”

Grabbing a fistful of her blonde hair, I pulled her lips to mine and kissed her deeply. Her grip on my wrist loosened and I ran my hand back up the insides of her thighs, found her hot, slippery pussy, and slid a finger inside.

Gwen gasped again, but this time she didn’t pull away; this time she snatched me around the neck with one arm and pulled me tighter, so tight her teeth pressed into my lower lip as she began to kiss me with unbridled hunger.

Fuck, I thought as I reached down and undid the top button on my pants. I tugged the zipper and reached into my boxers, grabbed my cock, and pulled it out.

I was hard as a fucking rock, and as I curled a finger inside her, Gwen broke her embrace and looked down between us. I almost laughed when her eyes went wide.

“What is that?” she asked in shock.

“What, you’ve never seen a dick before?” I teased, running my tongue across her lower lip.

“Well, I mean…that’s beside the point,” she replied. “But what is—”

“Wait,” I interrupted. “You’ve never seen a dick before?”

A blush came over Gwen’s cheeks and she ducked her head and hid her eyes from me.

  No way…

“Gwen,” I said softly, trying to get her to look at me, but she was like a scared horse and whichever way I went, she went the opposite.

“Gwen!” I laughed, finally slipping a second finger inside her and causing her to gasp and throw herself against me. “Are you really—are you a virgin?”

“Let’s just say…” she replied, her voice a breathy moan. “I’m lacking in experience.”

  Shit, that’s hot…

“Well, let’s just say,” I replied softly, applying more pressure with my fingers. “That I’ll show you everything you need to know.”

Gwen gasped and I felt her pussy clench down on my fingers as I curled inside her and found her spot. A shudder ran through her and I gently took her hand and placed it on my dick.

“Fuck…” I groaned as her delicate fingers explored my shaft with obvious innocence.

I’ll teach her just how I like it, I thought as I guided her hand while I fingered her. She was absolutely dripping. She’d been doing her best to conceal her arousal earlier—trying to pretend like she wasn’t attracted to me—but now there was no denying it.

“Har—Harrison,” she stammered as I moved my fingers faster, feeling her pussy grow tighter and tighter as she got closer to climax.

“That’s it,” I coaxed her, my cock pulsing hot between my legs, eager to take her and claim her as mine. “Come for me, baby. Come.”

Gwen’s body shook again and her pussy clamped down hard on my fingers. I pressed my lips against the skin of her neck.

  Yes…let me feel it.

But at the last possible second, right as Gwen was about to go over the edge, she pulled back like she’d been hit with a bucket of cold water to the face, grabbed me by the wrist, snatched my fingers out of her, and leapt to her feet.

“Uhm…no,” she muttered, running her hands through her hair like she was flustered and confused.

“What is it, baby?” I asked, reaching out for her. But Gwen backed away and tugged her skirt back down over her legs.

“No,” she said again. “This can’t—we can’t do this.”

“Relax. It’s okay. I won’t tell your editor.”

I stood up and moved closer to her, but again she backed away.

“No!” she said, louder this time. “No, Mr. Night, we are not doing this.”

  Mr. Night?

What the hell was happening? She was almost about to come when she’d stopped me. Was she too nervous to have an orgasm around me?

“I need to go now,” she said, picking up her purse. She headed back inside toward the front door and I followed after her, stuffing my dick back into my pants.

  “Gwen, wait!”

  She didn’t.

“Gwen, at least let me call you a car!”

“No thank you, Mr. Night!” she called over her shoulder, not even bothering to turn and face me. “I have to go. Another reporter from the Tribune will be in touch with you for the story, thank you for your time!”

And just like that, she was gone—out the front door and marching down the driveway away from me.

I knew better than to chase after her. That would only make things worse. But as I watched her go, I knew that there was no way this was going to be the end of things between us.

  They’d only gotten started.

  Gwen

What is wrong with you!? I thought angrily as I walked as quickly as I could down the driveway away from Harrison’s house. How long was it, anyway? By the time I reached the bottom, where a handful of reporters were still lingering around, I felt as if I’d walked for hours.

What had I just done? Not only had I broken the cardinal rule of being a reporter (not getting involved with the subject of your story), but I’d done it with Harrison Night, the dickhead that was here to ruin Derby and make millions while doing so.

  What were you thinking!?

My pussy was still dripping wet and throbbing from what Harrison had just done to me. I’d been so close to coming that even quickly walking away from the house had almost thrown me over the edge.

At that moment, I hated myself.

I’d been covering the story on the Pines since it broke, and had been sent here to get down to the bottom of things, and what had I done? I’d let myself get seduced by the same bastard who I was supposed to be exposing as a greedy scumbag who didn’t care about anyone or anything beyond how many zeroes showed in his bank account.

As I reached the bottom of the driveway, the gate swung open to let me out. There were still a few reporters, and I recognized one of them as Trisha Bloom, a gossip columnist from Portsmouth. She waved as I came over to her.

“Hey, girl! Look at you getting the invite to the big house!” she exclaimed, shoving her microphone in my face. “So, are you the new girlfriend to Derby’s new billionaire bachelor?”

“Can we not right now, Trisha?” I asked nicely. “I was up there doing a story on my own.”

“Gwen, come on,” she smirked. “We all saw you get into that Lamborghini with him. Sitting on his lap? That seems like a lot more than covering a story to me.”
