  Chapter Twelve

  Fourth night in a row.

Her fingers dug into his bare chest, tracing the outline of his muscles. It was hard to concentrate on anything when he was kissing her. His tongue dipped between her lips, and she moaned softly, heaving her breasts against his chest and deepening the kiss.

His hand dipped between her legs and shifted to allow better access. Round Two.

The pads of his fingers slid over her clit, and she arched into his hand. “Two days is too long.” She moaned, dropping her mouth to his chest and licking his nipple. His finger curled against her nub, and her breathing labored.

She didn’t expect a response to her statement. If she’d learned anything from Kase, it was that he was stingy with his words unless he was barking orders. While his hand worked her core, his other reached into her locks, threading his fingers through her hair.

The sharp knock on her door had Phoebe bolting up from the bed and skittering away from Kase. She never got unexpected visitors. Well, except one. He grunted and shifted up on the bed.

She glanced back at Kase, who was reaching for his cigarettes. He didn’t seem even the least bit concerned about who might be at her door.

The loud knock got her attention again. “Who do you think it is?”

Kase sucked in a drag of his cigarette. “Only one way to find out.”

She leaned to the floor, grabbing her shirt and whipping it over her head. She flipped her hair from the collar and reached across the bed for her pants. She turned to Kase, who was staring at her with a smirk.

  “What?”

“Your tits look fucking great without a bra.”

“Are you seriously talking about my tits while I have someone pounding on my door at eleven thirty at night?” She grabbed her jeans, yanking them off the bed and awkwardly trying to get them on without giving Kase a show. Asshole didn’t deserve one.

She jerked her head and glared at him. “It could be a serial killer at my door, and all you’re concerned with are my breasts.”

Kase chuckled, and his chest shook. “Psychos don’t knock.”

She raised her brows and smirked. “You do.”

He scowled. “You’re lucky I like your pussy.”

Phoebe widened her eyes and nodded. “Oh yeah, biggest honor of my life, asshole.” She gave him the finger and walked out the door.

The knocking intensified, and a few options passed through her mind. One of the members looking for Kase. She was pretty sure his sneak-overs hadn’t gone unnoticed by Saint or Rourke. She had caught the three men gathered in a group in the club’s yard before he came over.

She tiptoed to the door and slid the curtain. What the… She quickly flicked the lock and opened the door. Her heart raced. Something had to be wrong. She never showed up announced. It was completely out of character.

  “Hey, you okay?”

Bailey drew in a breath and grinned. “I hope I’m not bothering you.” She held up a yellow folder. “I’ve got the information on the park, guidelines and suggestions. It’s a hard copy, and I’ll email you everything too.”

“Great.” The visit had caught her off guard and seemed completely suspicious. Bailey’s demeanor only added to it. She glanced over her shoulder, her eyes looking around the interior the best she could from her angle in the doorway. Was Bailey spying?

Phoebe bit back her chuckle and smiled. “You want to come in?”

“Oh no, I just wanted to drop off the papers.” She bit on her lip. Was she stalling?

  “All right.”

Bailey jerked her gaze to Phoebe. “You’re coming to the party, right?”

Phoebe raised her brows. “You know I’m coming.” She laughed. “Bails, what’s going on?”

“Nothing, just confirming,” Bailey said and stepped back. She grinned and waggled her brows. “Tell Kase I said hi.”

Phoebe froze and clamped her lips tightly.

She waited until the door closed before heading back into her room. When she opened the door, she found Kase staring at her.

She grabbed the hem of her shirt and lifted it off her body. His eyes heated.

Kase leaned over to her nightstand, never taking his eyes off her. He stumped out his cigarette.

  “Get your ass over here.”

Phoebe reached for the snap on her jeans and unzipped her pants, slowly dropping them down her legs. Once they hit the floor, she toed them away from her feet and brought her knees to the mattress. She dropped her hand to the bed and crawled closer. Kase watched her through his darkened gaze. Her hand caressed his ankle and moved up his thigh past the sheet. Even through the material, she could make out his hardening cock. Her hand drifted up his thigh and grasped the sheet, yanking it away.

“I was thinking about sucking you off, but where does that leave me?” she said, draping her breasts over his chest and reaching for the condom on the nightstand. Before she could tear it open, he ripped it out of her hand and glared at her.

  “Touch yourself.”

She straddled his thighs as he ripped open the condom with his teeth. Her hands slid over her neck, down to her breasts as his eyes watched her very move.

“You’re being lazy, Kase, making me do all the work. Ya know, I can come without you.”

His soft growl was the only warning she got. He grabbed her hips just as her fingers grazed over her pussy. She gasped as her body was pulled over his. Her hands gripped the edge of the headboard as she eased over the crown of his cock. It was a tease, and if she hadn’t wanted to get off so badly, she would have continued. She slowly lowered, sending his cock sinking into her core.

She meshed her breasts against his chest, and his hands circled her waist, dropping to her ass. She moved slowly, knowing Kase may not admit it, but he loved the slow fuck. She tightened her core, squeezing his cock. Another move she knew he was a fan of, and one which hit her g-spot. She moaned, sliding over his dick. His hands were everywhere, over her back, gliding into her hair, and forcing her head toward him. His mouth locked on her hers, and his tongue slipped past her lips, swirling against her own tongue. His kiss alone had her swiveling her hips and thrusting over his length. Among many things, Kase had been the biggest man she’d ever been with. She pulled away slightly from his lips to inhale, but he was relentless, taking her lips and plunging his tongue inside her mouth. God, this man can kiss. She gripped his shoulders and rocked over him, slightly engaging her rhythm and speed. She sat back, gripping his thighs and dropping her head on her shoulders.

His fingers caressed up her stomach and slid over her breasts. For as rough and reckless as his exterior, the pads of his fingers feathered over her nipples with a tease, and she tightened her core.

“Kase.” She squeezed his thighs and arched her back, driving her pussy over his cock. His soft, hushed curse made her smile. It was good to know she was affecting him as much as he affected her. His hand slipped down her stomach, sliding onto her clit, and curled the sensitive nub. Fuck! She fell forward against his chest, locking his hand between them. She curled into his neck, her mouth breathing heavy against him as his hips jutted forward, stroking his cock deep inside her. She felt him everywhere. It was too much.

She reached between their bodies and gripped his wrist. She was caught between too much feeling and being on the verge of orgasm. Her mind was spinning, and she moaned again. His finger relentlessly flicked her clit, and she gasped.

  “Oh God, that’s so good.”

He growled, grazing his teeth over her neck and thrusting his cock inside her. Her free hand gripped his shoulder as her thighs tightened and her toes curled while rocking her hips against his, her entire being lit with a fiery tingle over her skin. The rise to her orgasm was almost as good as when she finally came. Almost. She dug her nails into his skin and screamed out when she reached her peak. Oh fuck. His continual thrusts inside her only prolonged her orgasm to the point of pure exhaustion. She collapsed against his chest, swiveling her hips until his strokes d
eepened and he was seated so deep inside her core, she could feel him coming inside her. His finger flicked against her clit, and she tightened her grip.

“Please stop, you’re gonna kill me if you keep doing that.”

His hand stilled, and she shook under his rumbling chest. He pulled his arm from between them. She was no help. She could barely lift her body. She dropped her head to his neck and completely settled into his chest.

She closed her eyes and panted heavily, ignoring the fact that he was still inside her and probably needed her to move to clean up. He can wait. And he did. In a surprising move, she felt her sheets glide over her back and his hands rest over her.

“I know I gotta get up, but I need a minute.”

  “I’m in no rush.”

She pried her eyes open. This was nice. Settling in with a lover after fucking. Her nose skimmed his neck, and his arms tightened around her back. Who knew Kase Reilly was capable of cuddling? She closed her eyes and drifted. The soft caress on her back was rocking her to sleep.

  ****

Four nights in a row with the same woman. The only woman. It was a record for him. Phoebe had changed everything for him. Here he was, sleeping with her again.

It was a general rule he’d made for himself years ago. Yet, with Phoebe, he seemed to be breaking all of them. Fuck, she feels good. His hand rose up her back, threading his hand through her hair. She turned her head with her eyes at half-mast.

  “That feels good, Kase.”

He threaded his fingers, massaging her scalp. The way she was curling into him kept him going. She angled her head and pushed off the mattress, pressing her lips against his. This was new territory for him. Phoebe was new territory. He’d had women come in and out of his life for most of his adult life. Some stayed longer than others, but he’d never felt any kind of connection. They were club girls, and being brought up in the club life, he knew what to expect. He’d seen his brothers settle down with women from the life. For some it worked, for others it fucking failed. He never had an interest in a woman for more than a night.

Kase had an agenda when it came to the club, which always came first. As it should. He’d built his life around the Ghosttown Riders, a decision he never regretted. Had he been missing something? She nestled her ass against his cock. A move hundreds of women had done in the past. However, his reaction was different. He dropped his hand to her hip and tugged her against his body, molding her into him, and dropped his mouth to her ear. Her hair tickled against his nose, and he closed his eyes taking in her scent.

“Bailey said to say hi.” She inched closer, and he tightened his hold. “Forgot to mention it before. I was distracted.”

Kase smirked, brushing his nose against the back of her head. Her scent should be fucking bottled up. He settled in next to her and the warmth of her body.

  “You got nothing to say?”

He flicked his eyes open. “About what?”

“Bailey knows you were here. The house is small, Kase, only one place you could be.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

She groaned and turned in his arms. He jerked back to make room for the ungraceful spin. She glared up at him. “She knows you were in here.” Her eyes widened. “My bedroom.”

  “Yeah, and?”

Her brows knitted together, and she eyed him suspiciously.

“Why don’t you seem shocked she knew you were here?” She squinted with a playful smirk donning her lips. “Tell me.”

“Are we fucking sharing again?” His tone was laced with sarcasm, which seemed to amuse her. Making a woman laugh was not his usual MO.

“Yeah, let’s. No sex-escapades, though. My stories aren’t nearly as exciting as yours.” She clucked her tongue, and the corner of her mouth curled into a sexy half smile. “Actually, I do have a few that might impress you.”

“Phoebe.” He gripped her neck and scowled harshly. The last thing to come from her mouth should be speaking of another man she’d been with. Kase was rarely jealous of anyone, but his possession over Phoebe was bringing out new sides to him.

She giggled. “Fine, no sex stories.” She nestled against his chest. “Tell me about Jack.”

“What’s to tell, you know him.”

  “Was he a good president?”

“Yeah.” He wasn’t sure where the question was going. He’d always been suspicious of anyone outside the club, especially those who took an interest in his club.

  “Better than you?”

He scoffed and furrowed his brows. “If you ask him? Yeah.”

She smiled. “His stories true, or is he exaggerating?”

“He been telling you about the life?”

  “A little.”

“He’s old and losing his fucking mind, but he doesn’t lie. All he’s told ya, yeah, it’s true.”

She arched her brow. “He told me you’re an asshole.”

  “I am.”

She grinned, swiping her lips under his ear.

  “He likes you.”

Phoebe stilled with her lips grazing his neck. She pushed away, leaving only a few inches.

“Jack don’t like a lot of people.” He snorted. “I can probably count them on one fucking hand. But you?” He raised his brows. “He likes.”

She grinned. “Does it bother you I’m one of your dad’s favorites?” She was teasing. He could easily play it off. He chose not to.

“It did. That night you were drinking whiskey by the fire. I hung back listening to you guys. He ain’t open like that with a lot of people. But with you, it was like he’d known you forever.”

She licked her lips and shifted her hips. He knew her well enough. Phoebe was growing increasingly uncomfortable with the conversation. She was taking it the wrong way, and he needed to rectify that.

“I said it did bother me. It doesn’t anymore. Me and Jack, we’re too much alike to ever get close. Knew that a long time ago. Seeing him bond with someone else, it hits old wounds.” Kase paused. “Makes me the asshole who talks shit to a woman who was showing the old man some fucking kindness.”

He wasn’t about to rehash all the shit he’d done wrong with her. The diner and store scene were fucked up, but she’d forgiven him. He wasn’t looking to revisit it again.

She curled her lip and twitched her nose. “I think Jack likes me more because I got a better ass than you.”

Kase shook his head and laughed. She was making him laugh, naked in bed. She thrust forward, planting her hands on his chest.

“I’m loving our sharing. I want more.”

  He dipped his chin. “Ask.”

“Did you always wanna be a biker?”

He sighed, spreading his hand over her back. “I grew up in it. It’s part of who I am. Don’t remember wanting to do anything else.”

  “Did your mom approve?”

He gritted his teeth. It was a reactionary response every time she was brought up, which was rare. With exception to the ranting about her, his Pop never mentioned her. Neither did Caden. She had always been a taboo subject among the Reilly men with good reason. He could blow off the question, but why the fuck would he? If she wanted to know, he’d tell her.

  “She was a cunt.”

Phoebe stilled in his arms and slowly lifted her head, angling up on her elbow and staring back at him with a glazed shocked scowl. “Don’t think I’ve ever heard someone refer to their own mother as a cunt.” She raised her brows. “Kinda harsh, don’t ya think?”

Kase clenched his jaw. “She left before I turned ten. Before that?” He cocked his brow. “If she wasn’t ignoring me and Cade, she was screaming, calling us bastards, and throwing shit at us. She bolted with the first guy willing to take her ass away. She fucked around on Jack every second she got. He was no fucking saint either, but he didn’t bring whores around us. She had no problem bringing men into her bed with Cade and I in the next room.”

He didn’t have to know her background to know Phoebe’s life as a kid wasn’t
exposed to the shit he’d seen.

  “You ever see her?”

  “No.”

  “I’m sorry.”

Kase shrugged and kept his gaze locked on her. She was feeling more for his situation than he was. It was the hand he was dealt, and he played it. Bitching and moaning about a past he couldn’t change was a waste of his breath. He wouldn’t give the cunt anything. He proved that years ago when she came looking for a handout. He’d refused to see her, even had her thrown out on her ass when she showed up at the clubhouse. He wasn’t about to share that piece of information with her.

Phoebe pursed her lips together and tilted her head. “Your turn. Ask me anything What do ya wanna know?”

He caught the reeling in her eyes. She wanted to know more about him but was changing the subject. This is what a good woman looks like.

“Wanna know what the old man said to you to get ya to come for him with a bat.”

She groaned, dropping her head against his chest and mumbling something he couldn’t make out. He smiled and bit back a laugh.

“I fucking shared, don’t pussy out on me.” His tease got her attention, and she jolted up with a severe scowl.

She leaned closer with her nose inches from his. “I’ve never been a pussy a day in my life.”

He raised his brows and sat up, resting his back on the headboard. He reached over for his cigarettes and eyed her carefully. He’d pissed her off with the comment. One of the best parts of Phoebe was her fiery personality. She sat and crossed her legs and pulled the sheet to cover her breasts. Her hair was a mess, her makeup smeared, and probably the sexiest she’d ever looked, at least in Kase’s eyes. He lit his cigarette and watched as she drove her hand through her hair and flipped it over one shoulder.

When she remained silent, he nudged her knee with his leg, and she glanced up through her lashes. She twisted her lips and sighed, allowing her shoulders to sag.

  “It’s a long story.”

  “Am I going somewhere?”

  Phoebe shook her head.
