"No, I'll go," Gray said. "You've already done your good deed for the day. I wouldn't want you to ruin your reputation."
"You can't handle the hit to your savior complex, more like," Knox said with a laugh. Opening the door to go, he gave Olivia one last wink. "Like I said, don't let Mr. Stick-Up-His-Ass keep you away from the bar for too long. The brothers already miss you."
Gray narrowed his eyes. "The brothers or you?"
Knox just laughed. "Gotta run," he said, taking the porch stairs two at a time.
Olivia shook her head as the alpha got in his truck and drove away. "He's… he's really something, isn't he?"
"Something to avoid," Gray clarified, kissing her on top of the head. "Do you think something might be wrong over at Ryder's place? Maybe I ought to go check in on him now."
Olivia sighed. "You all talk about Ryder like he's a little kid. That alpha is twenty years old—he can take care of himself. He's taller than you, for God's sake!"
"That's a long way to say no."
Olivia laughed. "No, it's a long way of saying, wait and check on him in the morning after you've helped me unpack all these boxes."
"That doesn't sound like much fun," Gray teased, already hefting the biggest box.
"You won't be saying that when we get to the box with all my lingerie in it."
"Your what?"
"You know, my black lace teddies and silky bras and teeny tiny…"
That was the last word Olivia managed to get out before Gray spun her around, lifted her up into his arms, and kissed her with enough passion to make her toes curl.
"Screw the lingerie," Gray growled against her mouth. "I only want you."
Olivia smiled and kissed him back. Lucky for them both, her alpha already had her—body and soul.
