Drax (Iron Thunder MC Book 3) Page 9

Jackie saw my reaction and looked even more worried now.

“Do you want to tell me what’s going on exactly? You’re acting way too suspicious.”

I sighed and pressed my eyes closed for a moment.

“It’s kinda complicated and it’ll take a while to explain, but in summary, Drax is trying to keep me safe. From my own brother. I don’t know what’s happening with Crash, but he’s started acting a little crazy lately.”

Jackie was watching me intently, but she wasn’t saying much.

“What?” I urged her and she shifted in her seat. “Tell me what’s on your mind, Jackie!”

She waited a beat and then looked down at her hands.

“Well, I didn’t want to tell you because I thought you’d feel bad. I know you love your brother and you’re protective of your family…”

“Jackie, come on, just tell me already!”

  “Well everyone is scared.”

  “Everyone?” I asked.

“You know, people in the neighborhood. The community…Crash and his goons have been acting like jerks lately. Totally unreliable. Extorting money and beating up people they were supposed to look out for.”

I could feel my stomach tightening. I was embarrassed and angry.

“Why didn’t you tell me this sooner?” I snapped at her. And there I was…blaming Drax for starting a fight with Crash.

Jackie shrugged. “I didn’t know whose side you were on, Mary-Beth,” she said.

I shook my head; this was unbelievable. Jackie and I had grown up together. I thought she knew me. “I’m on the side of justice,” I replied.

After my short catch-up with Jackie, I decided to go to Fifth Element and see how things were going there. I didn’t know if Drax was going to be there, but either way, I wanted to start trying to get comfortable around the Clubhouse.

I knew most of the guys there weren’t too happy about us getting back together, but I wanted them to see that things were different now between us. We were both calmer and more mature, besides, we’d discovered how good we were together. The time we spent apart had given us a new perspective on our relationship.

The prospect followed me all the way to the Clubhouse and when I finally walked through the doors, I was tempted to go look for Drax and point out the fact that nothing had happened to me yet! Maybe Crash had better things to do right now rather than hunt me down and punish me—the way Drax thought he was going to do.

The Clubhouse wasn’t too busy. It was still early enough in the day and the guys were out conducting business.

The ones who were there looked up at me as I made my way toward the bar area. But nobody said anything, nobody approached me directly.

Sophie was at the bar as usual. We used to be friendly before the breakup, but I wasn’t sure if she was happy to see me again. Besides, I didn’t want the lowdown on how many chicks Drax had banged in my absence. I was sure Sophie kept count. She knew everything about everyone around this place.

The two new girls were there too. Bolt and Flash’s women.

They were all chatting but stopped when I walked up to them.

“Hi, Mary-Beth, how are you?” Sophie asked.

  “I’m good. You’re looking great,” I said.

She smiled and then tipped her head in the direction of the other two. “This is Cassie, Bolt’s girl, and Allegra. She’s with Flash.”

I smiled and nodded at them. They were being polite and friendly, but I could see a hint of curiosity and suspicion in their eyes. People always looked at me differently when they found out I was in a relationship with Drax. Maybe he was too intimidating to others for them to picture him in a committed relationship with someone.

“Congratulations, girls, I hope the guys are making you very happy,” I said to them. I’d used to be friendly with Bolt and Flash before, but I wasn’t sure if they were ready to welcome me with open arms now—now, after the breakup and since this war started with Crash.

“You’re Crash’s sister?” Cassie asked. It was like she couldn’t hold herself back and the words came tumbling out of her.

“Yes, I am,” I confirmed. Cassie and Allegra glanced at each other, only for a split-second but I’d caught the look in their eyes. They were beginning to mistrust me too.

I wanted to tell them they had no reason to be suspicious. I was on their side. This was where I belonged…not in that strip club with my brother.

“She used to be one of us though,” Sophie spoke up. She was wiping the countertop with a rag. I glared at her in anger.

“I would like to think I still am. Just because I’m Crash’s sister doesn’t mean I can’t be loyal to Drax,” I snapped.

“Of course,” Sophie said, but I knew she was just being forcefully polite. The other two girls looked confused.

“So, you are with us now? A part of the Iron Thunder?” Cassie asked.

“Yes. Drax and I are together. I’m living with him. I have Iron Thunder’s protection,” I confirmed.

“I bet your brother is angry about that?” Allegra asked.

I licked my lips nervously. I could feel my nostrils flaring rapidly.

“I’m not sure. I guess he must be. I haven’t seen or spoken to him in two weeks,” I replied.

The girls glanced at each other again. Like they didn’t want to believe a thing I was saying. What would I have to do to gain their trust?

“I would never be disloyal to Drax,” I insisted.

  “Of course not,” Sophie added.

  Allegra and Cassie smiled.

I knew they were reliable women. I would have been in the same position as them if our roles were reversed. My brother had showered horrible atrocities on them and the men they loved. He’d put all their lives in danger. Why would they blindly trust that man’s sister? The villain in their story?

I gulped and wrung my fingers together.

“Look, I’m sure you girls need time to trust me. To fully understand me and my relationship with Drax. I’ll just give you some space,” I said and started walking away from them. None of them stopped me from going. They knew keeping a distance was best for the situation. After all, we were still in war with the Silver Knights.

I walked over to the other end of the bar and sat down. I pulled my phone out and flicked through my list of contacts. Crash’s number was stored under the name ‘Danny’. I was tempted to call him, to just call and give him an earful. I wanted to unload all my anger and resentment on him. This was all his fault. He was messing up my life and the lives of everyone else around us. I needed him to know that.

“Mary-Beth, Drax wants to see you in his office,” a voice said. I looked up and saw Flash standing over me. He was calm and neutral in his expression. At least he was trying to be non-judgmental of me.

I hadn’t even realized Drax knew I was here, or that he was here either.

“Okay,” I said and jumped up from my chair. Great timing! Seeing him was exactly the fix I needed for the slump I was in right now.

  Drax

She looked absolutely ravishing when she walked in through the door. I was standing at my desk, rolling a cigarette but I crushed it in the ashtray because she didn’t like me smoking in front of her.

“What have you been up to all morning?” I asked and she shut the door behind her.

“Just met up with Jackie for a coffee and then came straight here,” she replied. We instinctively rushed toward each other and I pulled her to me by the hooks of her jeans. She was delicious and warm in my arms. I claimed her mouth and she moaned when I pushed my tongue in to get a taste of her.

But then she was pushing me away gently.

“What is it, beautiful?” I asked. I could see she was bothered by something. It was there in her big blue eyes. Mary-Beth sighed and shook her head.

“It’s no big deal. Really. It’s nothing major.”

“Okay, but tell me about it anyway,” I insisted.

  She snuggled up to me
and rested her head on my chest. I knew she was having trouble admitting whatever was on her mind. This was always what she did when she didn’t want me looking into her eyes.

“I think everyone here is suspicious of me.”

I pushed her a little, forcing her to look up at me.

“Who are you talking about? Did someone say something to you?”

  She shook her head hard.

“No. Nobody said anything. In fact, nobody did anything either. It’s just…a feeling I get. It’s because of Crash and because of everything that’s going on with his MC.”

Nobody had brought this up with me. Of course, nobody had the balls to. Everyone knew I would immediately shoot them down if they suggested being suspicious of Mary-Beth’s intentions.

“Okay, I’ll talk to the guys about it. Everyone here should be treating you like a queen. You’re my woman and they know it!” I growled.

She was shaking her head again.

“Drax please, don’t. The last thing I want is for everyone to hate me any more than they already probably do.”

  “MB, nobody hates you.”

“Okay, maybe they don’t. But they don’t trust me either. I just want things to go back to the way they were before we broke up. I used to be good friends with all of them here.”

I pushed my hands into my jeans.

“I have to talk to them about it if you want things to change. I’m the President of this MC…”

“No, Drax, I want to prove it to them. That I’m on their side. Your side. This is where my loyalty lies…this is…” she spoke feverishly. Determinedly. I didn’t want her getting any new ideas in her head. The last thing I needed was for Mary-Beth to go on some kind of fact-proving mission and put herself in danger.

I interrupted her speech by placing my hands on her shoulders. I squeezed them hard and she looked up at me with big rounded eyes.

“Do you really care what anyone else thinks, MB? I know who you’re loyal to. You don’t have to prove it to me. But there is something I want you to do.”

“Okay. What?” she was quick to ask.

“Take off your clothes,” I said.

She bit down on her plump pink lip and I could see the smile tugging the corners of her mouth.

I grabbed her by her hips, pushing her backwards to the wall while she undid her jeans. I pulled up her blouse over her head and flung it to the floor.

Up against the wall, I pinned her to it and lifted her up. She wrapped her legs around me, and I bit into the side of her neck. She moaned but it wasn’t because she was hurt. She was enjoying it, the feeling of my mouth sucking on her flesh. I was going to leave a mark on her supple skin. A mark of ownership of this divine body.

I pushed myself against her. I wanted her to feel the stiffness of my cock. Hump, hump, hump against the wall. She wrapped her arms around my neck and things were getting wild. Fingers in her hair, mouth on her breasts, her hands down my back.

I could never get enough of this woman, even though I claimed her every night. Several times a night. I just kept coming back for more.

I swung her around and carried her to my desk.

This was where I conducted business. Where I made all my important decisions. And this was where I wanted to make her mine all over again.

She was wearing hot pink panties, matching her bra. I undid her bra and kneaded her big tits. Her nipples were standing up, so rosy and sweet. She was lying on my desk, with her legs hanging off the edge. I rubbed my hand over her belly in soft circular motions, making it quiver a bit. I loved holding her, feeling her soft skin under my fingers. Her chunky love handles. She was the perfect shape to hold, to drill into. My cock throbbed in my pants. I was so hard; I was tenting my jeans.

I rubbed her clit through her panties, and she arched her hips up.

“Are you sure they can’t hear us?” she asked in a whisper. The desk was already creaking under her as she wriggled and rolled her hips.

“I want them to hear us. I want them to hear exactly what we’re like together.” I kissed her neck and down her cleavage and her belly and then pulled her panties down her legs.

There it was—her swollen pussy. So sticky and warm already. I couldn’t wait to be inside her. My cock throbbed the more I imagined it. I would never be able to control myself around her.

Then I felt her nails digging into my back. She was pulling me to herself, urging me on. I ran a hand down her leg till I got to her ankle, then I lifted her leg up, bending it at the knee.

With my other hand, I quickly undid my pants, so they fell to the floor. I pushed my underwear down and now my cock pushed against her thigh. Mary-Beth moaned.

  “Drax, please…” she murmured.

I thrust my cock into her.

Her pussy was so warm and delicious. I felt myself sinking into her. Being absorbed by her. Nothing else mattered except taking her.

The desk creaked and I kept her leg folded up. I started pounding her and the harder I pushed, the deeper my cock sank into her. Her body quivered with every thrust. She moaned my name out loud. I grabbed her hair with my other hand, and she arched herself up toward me.

“I’m going to come…Drax…” she cried aloud and then I could feel her shaking. Her eyes rolled back in her head and she dug her nails in harder. I could feel my skin breaking where she punctured it slightly. She was going to leave a mark. She was claiming her territory too.

We moved together. Our voices filled my office. If anyone was anywhere near the door, they would be able to hear us. I wanted them to hear us. I wanted everyone to know what this woman did to me. And what I did to her.

She finished coming and then I came. My seed shot deep inside her. I covered her with my body, my cock spasmed and I held onto her tightly. Even though she was done, she continued to moan softly and move underneath me.

Now that I had her, I didn’t need any other woman. I only wanted to explode inside her.

When my breathing started to relax, she shifted so I could pull myself out. We were both still breathing hard.

I moved away from the desk and she sat up on it, bringing her knees up to her chin. I could see her pussy—still swollen and a little pink. I’d laid claim to her. Mary-Beth sat staring at me with her mouth parted, watching as I pulled up my underwear.

I smiled at her and shook my head.

It was unbelievable, the effect she had on me.

“What’s the plan now? I want to spend the day with you, Drax,” she said, smiling back.

I pulled up my pants too and then sighed. I didn’t know how to break it to her, but I couldn’t have her hanging around me today.

“It’s the re-opening of the store. It’ll be kind of a public event. You know? Just to reassure the community that our business and stronghold isn’t affected. And you can’t come with me.”

She barged out of the office, following me.

I knew she wasn’t happy with what I said.

“So, you’re just going to walk out?” I heard her rage behind me.

“I need a shower,” I said, barely glancing at her over my shoulder. She stomped down the hallway behind me and we both made our way upstairs to my room.

Great. The last thing I needed was for the rest of the MC to witness another of our fights. We hadn’t been fighting at all this time around. Our relationship so far was pretty blissful. So a full-blown fight was a long time coming, clearly.

I entered my room and Mary-Beth banged it shut behind her.

I slipped my phone out to plug it into the charger at the head of the bed. I could sense her fuming behind me.

“So, you’re just going to make all my decisions for me, is that it? Is that what our relationship is going to look like, Drax?”

I looked over my shoulder and found her with her arms crossed tightly at her chest. I shook my head.

“You can protest as much as you like, MB, but I’m not letting you make a public appearance at the store’s opening today.”

  “Why
the hell not?” she hissed.

“Because it would be the perfect opportunity for your brother to strike.”

“He’s had opportunities for two weeks to do exactly that. I have to return to normal life at some point. I can’t be a prisoner here forever, Drax!”

I turned to her and started unbuttoning my clothes again.

“The only reason you’ve been safe the past two weeks is because you’ve been low key. You go out to the store today and you’ll be a sitting duck. I can’t let that happen to you, MB.”

I made it a point to stare her down as I spoke. I needed her to see just how serious I was about this. I wasn’t budging. Her nostrils flared and then slowly, her shoulders began to relax. Hopefully, she was going to see reason.

“Drax, I really don’t want us to start squabbling again.”

“Me neither. And for that not to happen, we have to trust each other. In this situation, you need to trust that I know what I’m saying. I want to keep you safe.”

She let out a deep sigh and came toward me. Her cheeks were flushed. I knew she hated admitting it and didn’t want to give in, but she didn’t really have a choice in the matter. She knew I wasn’t going to let her go to the store opening today.

“Okay, Drax, I trust you,” she replied and nodded.

I caught her hand and pulled her to myself.

“Good, but I’m going to have to punish you for speaking to me like that,” I growled and kissed her hard. She moaned and wrapped herself to me.

“Yes. I’ve been a bad girl. I’ll do anything to make it up to you,” she replied, pulling gently away from me. “Anything you want, Master.”

I turned the shower on. It was hot and steamed up on my skin.

Mary-Beth was in the shower with me, but she was fully dressed.

“You’re not taking your clothes off,” I commanded. “But you are getting down on your knees.”

She breathed in deeply and then did as she was told.
