Boys of Two Cities Page 16

by Zack

“And was that the last you saw of him?” The boy looked anxious.

Gil smiled sunnily. “He wouldn’t have been so jaunty if that was the case. No, I was there at LAX with my folks three weeks later, my Mom crying that she’d never see me again, me telling her not to make such a fuss, of course I would be back. I was London-bound, armed with a bundle of those colorful British bank bills in my pocket, and a heart that felt as light as a feather. All I could think of as we lifted off was ‘Aberdare Gardens, here I come. I’m coming home!’

  “And I was.”

Gil and Mike will be back in the fourth book, Boys of the Fast Lane

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born in Switzerland, Oliver Frey a.k.a. Zack ended up in London and, after attending film school, plunged into gay art and publishing. Innumerable illustrations poured from his pen and brush for British magazines HIM International, Vulcan, Teenage Dreams, the HIM Gay Library series, and Mister magazine (which published the late-period Rogue stories). For HIM he created the mold-breaking Rogue comic strip and later The Street, which was part of the inspiration behind cult TV series Queer As Folk. The Internet has spread his reputation to an enormous global fan base through many sites and blogs. Some of his comic-strip work has been published recently by Bruno Gmünder—Bike Boy, Hot For Boys: the Sexy Adventures of Rogue, and Bike Boy Rides Again. As Zack, Frey has taken gay erotic art and comics to new dimensions. He lives with life-long partner Roger Kean in a medieval town on the edge of Wales.

British-born author Roger Kean, who met Oliver at film school, has had careers as a movie ca meraman, film editor, journalist, and magazine and book editor. As an author he has written books on historical subjects both factual and fictional, and gay fiction, including Boys of Vice City, Boys of Disco City, and Boys of Two Cities.

  MORE BOOKS FROM THE AUTHOR

  Boys of Vice City

Gil Graham wanted a job in movies, but with James Rosen—a tough Hollywood movie mogul—he gets more than he bargained for. The innocent young American is catapulted into the center of a horny crew shooting a movie in Rome. Sex-hungry guys abound in this fast-paced novel, all wanting a piece of handsome Gil, and he has a lot of what the hunky movie studs want—and he’s willing to offer it up. But by the end Gil finds something more valuable than a career: true love.

Praise for Boys of Vice City:

“A delightfully homoerotic story of love and lust… Lovers of homoerotic storytelling will want to add this book to their library.” Amazon review

“The secret of the book’s success is that Gil is genuinely innocent as well as insatiably horny, his charm is captivating and the adventures arousing. A classic.” Amazon review

“An entertaining story graphically conveying a young man’s enthusiasm for gay sex… enhanced by beautiful illustrations by Zack. The sense of sexual heat is palpable. While there is plenty of gung-ho sex throughout, there is also a friendship that brings things to a nice conclusion. Don’t look here for angst, look here for a keen appreciation of the body’s pleasures. Something worth celebrating, in my opinion.” Author Brandon Fox

  Boys of Disco City

Escaped from movie mogul James Rosen’s depraved clutches in Rome, American Gil Graham and his boyfriend Mike Smith head for London to set up home together. Mike introduces Gil to the hectic joys of giant disco Paradise. Hot backroom action, cruising Hampstead Heath, gladiatorial combat, and a porn-movie shoot are all part of Gil and Mike’s adventures. But can the idyll last once Rosen turns up, bent on revenge?

  Hot for Boys

“If you like comics for the way an artist can draw the reader’s eye through the page, playing with the confined space he has to contend with, these erotic comics won’t please you only for the hot, male flesh content.” (Gay comics guru François Peneaud). These three volumes collect Zack’s hottest stories, some first seen in black and white now in glowing color, others drippingly new from the lubricious imagination of the master of gay art. As one reviewer said—“impossible to finish without touching yourself and busting a nut!”

  Zack—The Art

The name of Zack rings loud throughout the gay world as one of the foremost creators of erotic imagery. Under his given name Oliver Frey he has had an impressive career as an illustrator—but his pseudonym Zack stands for a marvelous cosmos of its own: sexy boys and hunky men, love, lust and total abandon. It’s not often that you find an artist who has such an incredible sense for both stirring storytelling and accurate anatomy. Zack—The Art gives you a comprehensive overview of the hitherto existing lifework of an icon of gay art.
