Loving the Hellhound Page 7

“You are beautiful, baby. I am excited and so eager for our future. We have lives to combine and decisions to make, but for now let’s just revel in the possibilities.” Vadin spoke softly, and the emotion was clear.

“I agree and for the record, my dragon is in heaven right now and so am I.” Kyle responded with heart as his fingers trailed up and touched the now healed mating scar.

“You’ve seen my hound, but I have not seen your dragon. Will you show him to me?” Vadin was eager and sat up bringing Kyle with him.

“It’s dark out and there’s tree cover behind this Inn.” Kyle was figuring it out. “Yeah, my dragon would love to preen for you and your hound.” They both jumped out of bed and pulled on some briefs before hurrying out to the back yard.

Vadin grabbed Kyle’s hand and pulled him close for a kiss. He pulled back and stared thoughtfully down into Kyle’s fiery green eyes. “This is the life I never dreamed would be mine.” He smiled and kissed him again.

  EPILOGUE

Kyle and Vadin remained at the Inn for several days making love and making plans as they thoroughly sated their desires. As mate’s they would always be the perfect lovers, and it was a reality that made every day more wonderful and more compete than the last. Kyle didn’t know how much pure love and desire he could take, but he was certain it was a lot. He wanted everything Vadin could give and then some.

Vadin was in love with his beloved, it was fast but there was no doubt what he felt for Kyle was love and devotion. The man laid bare his darkest secrets and then loved and accepted him in spite of them. Nothing in Vadin’s past caused even a ripple of disquiet in his beloved Kyle.

They settled with the Coven in Jackson due to Vadin’s leadership position. Vadin could not leave them unprotected, they were the people who were the first to completely accept him and call him friend. They needed him and his hellhound.

Kyle took the move in stride since he was only a few miles Northwest of his Clan. He would always remain a member of Clan Keith but now he was also accepted as a member of the Chamberlin Coven. Master Chamberlin was well pleased with how things worked out.

Calum knew that mates trump all things in life so wished Kyle well but reminded him that he was still the tech specialist for Clan Keith. He also made it clear that although he now had a Master, Calum would always be his Chieftain.

Following the bonding ceremony, a reception was held at the Clan lodge with many of Vadin’s coven in attendance along with Master Chamberlin. “I’d like to say that I’m sorry for stealing your man, but I just can’t find it in me to be sorry. Your loss is definitely my gain.” Augustin goaded Calum as they sat together on the back deck overseeing the festivities.

“I haven’t lost anything in fact, I gained a hellhound.” Calum shot back good naturedly. “I see them as being more Keith than Chamberlin.”

“Well your sight has been hampered because they are Chamberlin first, Keith second.” Augustin laughed.

They both stood and raised their glasses in toast to the new couple. “Clan Keith!” Calum shouted.

“The Coven Chamberlin!” Augustin followed. He took a long drink of his champagne and glanced to his left just as someone was leaving the house and walking out onto the deck. It was a slender man with bright red hair and the same electric green eyes as most of the Clan. Augustin found himself transfixed by the stranger.

Calum patted his shoulder, but Augustin was helpless to take his eyes off the new man. “You haven’t met James.” Calum commented. “Augustin this is my cousin, James Keith and James this is Master Augustin Chamberlin.”

  “Pleased to meet you sir.”
