Yesterday Is Ours (The Yesterday Series Book 3) Page 17

by HJ Bellus

“She has no hope.” Cody shakes her head, going to take off.

I don’t miss the chance to wrap her up in a hug and kiss the top of her head. She still loves yellow and Sasha, but not so much a Daddy’s girl anymore. I’d never admit to anyone that it crushes my soul.

Cody goes back to Finn, sitting way too damn close for my comfort, and Robby takes another dive head first off the boat dock before I have the chance to grab her damn tiny swimming suit. I tear the shirt off my back, readying to dive in after her. When there are air bubbles, I collapse on my ass on the harsh dock, shaking my head. This little shit will be the death of me.

I never knew that three strong-willed women would be my undoing. But they are also my greatest saviors. I’ll bask in their crazy, love, and sweetness every day of my life, never regretting a damn thing.

A splash near my toes catches my attention, and then a warm hand trails up my thigh. I glance over to the prettiest girl I ever did see. Blonde crazy curls are piled up on her head, and loving eyes shine back at me. My girl. My doctor. My love.

“She’s all you, Cody Sterling.” She winks at me. “I do believe it’s called karma.”

I nod and smirk then take privilege of gracing my lips against her sweet ones. “The best kind of karma.”

She squints her eyes at me. “Tell me that in a few years, Cody Sterling.”

I lean over and kiss the hell out of her, not giving her an answer. Because the truth is with her at my side, I’ll never need any armor. My girl, the love of my life, wife, and mother of my children. Our story will never end. Yesterdays were my biggest regret and now my greatest salvation.
