“How far along are you now?” Sydney asked while mixing the eggs together in a big mixing bowl, adding a splash of milk and salt and pepper in before setting it to the side.
“I don’t know but I’m getting bigger everyday. Now you can clearly see I am pregnant” I said looking down at my belly. Everyday it grows a little bit bigger. How long till the other Alphas figure out, if they haven’t already? I thought about rubbing my belly before I felt a jab at my ribs.
“Ow” I mumbled, rubbing the spot where the pain was. “What are you doing to me little one” I was so lost in thought I didn’t notice Sydney came up to me before she placed her hand on my belly.
“She’s kicking,” she said smiling while moving her cold hands over my swollen belly. “I used to love when you kicked me. Every morning you would kick me right there underneath my ribs to let me know it was time to wake up and feed you. At night you would only kick if your father was there. You would kick up a storm. Like you knew that was your daddy”
I looked up only to see a small tear trail down Sydney's pale cheeks. “He was the greatest man I ever knew” looking off into the empty kitchen.
“You really loved him,” I said, placing my hand on top of hers and holding it close to me.
“More than anything” She said as more tears started to fall. “I should finish breakfast, I don't want to burn it. Can’t have the baby going hungry” She said laughing it off.
I knew it hurt her talking about dad. But it was nice to see how much she loved him. “I’m sorry” I apologized for making her cry.
“You have nothing to apologize for, baby girl. I just miss him”She said coming back around the counter and hugging me. It felt nice when she called me her baby girl. My mom Gizelle used to call me that.
“I miss him too. Not a day goes by that I don’t want to tell him about what is happening in my life. This baby would be so happy. He would adore Lilian and Adira. He would truly be that happiest man in the world. I believe he is up there with the moon goddess with the biggest smile on his face” I said hugging her back. Just as my stomach grumbled louder.
“That's my cue to get this breakfast finished so you can get some food in you” laughing quietly finally pouring the eggs in the pan that is already heated up. “It should be a couple minutes tops. Do you wanna go get the men and the kiddos?” She asked
I nodded my head but remembered that she was turned away from me. “Yes” I replied before climbing off the stool only to fall to my knees as a vision passes my eyes. A vision of a prophecy.

“No you are not. These visions or whatever you are seeing are more frequent. There has got to be something to stop it” She said rubbing my back.
“I’m going to get Elijah, I’ll be okay” I said standing on my own two feet. “See” I said as I walked without as much of a sway in my step.
“Be careful, Breakfast will be ready by the time you come back. I’ll call the girls down”
I just nodded my head before heading to the office where I assumed the guys were. Sure enough when I walked into the room 10 pairs of eyes turned towards me. “Breakfast is ready” I said before turning and walking back down the hall to the kitchen.
Now I could hear Lilian loud laughter and Adira’s shy giggle. When I came around the corner, what I saw I didn’t expect. Sydney was dancing around the kitchen with Lilian and Adira. I reached into my back pocket and snapped a couple pictures quickly.
“Without me” I said, placing my hand over my heart like it physically hurt me. “Momma, Grandma wanted to dance,” Lilian said, running towards me. I heard someone clear their throats. There stood all 10 men. I was afraid to look at Elijah. He probably just heard what Lilian called me.
“Okay sweetie, Sydney will make you and Adira your plates go sit in the living room” I said pushing them out the kitchen. I looked towards Sydney to see her already getting the girls their plates.
I felt arms wrap around my waist. “Guys go ahead and make you breakfast. Everything is in the dining room waiting for you” I said quietly. I wasn’t ready for whatever he had to say with me.
Chapter 25
Once all the men left, we were alone. “She called you momma” Elijah said in disbelief.
“Yes she did” I said, still looking away from him. I don’t want to see the look in his eyes. It's always 1 step forward 3 steps back with this man.
“She loves you” he said, turning me around and kissing my quivering lips. I wasn’t expecting that.
“And I love her more than anything” I said honestly. “From the moment I laid eyes on the beautiful little girl, my wolf considered her as our pup. We would do anything to keep her safe” I said wrapping my arms around my growing belly.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way” He said, removing my hands from my belly. Bending down to place a kiss on my belly whispering “You are going to have the best life, little one. Me and mommy will make sure of that”
I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing freely. These hormones have me acting like a child. “SHH baby it's okay. Let's go get you some breakfast” He said, grabbing my hand and walking with me into the Dining room full of Unmated Alphas.
Normally I would be slightly nervous being around all those unmated wolves. But with Elijah by my side I could do anything. We walked to the head of the table. Elijah pulled out my chair like a gentleman before sitting down next to me.
“You guys are my most trusted allies. Other Alpha’s are waiting for the fall of this Kingdom. I know I ask alot of you nine, but we can’t have this Kingdom in the hands of cowards like them. They will tear down everything the forefathers had to fight to get. I want to thank all of you for standing beside this throne and fighting a war that has nothing to do with you. But vengeance on Queen Estelle and former Queen Sydney.”
“We will do all that everything that we can. We will end this war, with a win on our side. They will lose everything. I’ll make sure of that. They will not take her from me” Alpha Orion said standing up from his chair. I saw him look at me before dragging his eyes away from me and onto the Alpha’s around me.
Elijah growled loudly. I knew what he was thinking. He has the look on his eyes that he had when he thought I was with James when we first met. I placed my hand on his thigh. Running it up and down trying to soothe him. I knew he didn’t like this. But little does he know Alpha Orion is Lilians mate.

“Estelle,” he growled out. “Are you sure? You are pregnant I don't want to hurt you” He said before moaning as my hands gripped him harder.

Chapter 26
For hours, we made love to one another and cuddled up on the floors of our bedroom. Finally, our wolves gave us back control so we could shift back. “We just left all the Alphas” I laughed.
“They will understand when they all find their mates” Elijah said getting up and walking to the closet putting on fresh clothes. I followed him before picking a simple sundress and flip flops. As my belly has gotten bigger, I can no longer fit into my jeans. By now I think I am half way with my pregnancy. Since wolves are only pregnant for 4 months, it's very fast.
“You need to talk to Alpha Orion,” I said stepping out of the closet. “He has something to tell you,” I said sitting on the bed waiting for him to finish in the closet.
“That can wait. My focus is my family and winning this war” He said coming out, bending to kiss me gently. What started out as an innocent kiss turned parasitic real quick. I pulled away before we ended up in the bed again.
“Believe me, you want to hear this now rather than later” I said, fixing his wild hair.
“Doesn’t it pertain to this war?” He asked before saying “Now let's go get you some food. I know you are famished, you didn't get to eat much before the beast inside took you away.”
“Kinda” I answered his question before going on to say “Yes, I am starving” I got off the bed and made my way to the door, following him. He held his hand out for me to take.
“Lets go” I placed my hand in his waiting hand before dragging him down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and made sandwiches and a big bowl of fresh fruit. “You want some,” I said, holding out one of the sandwiches I made out to him.
“I’m ravenous, but not for food” He growled out. Eyes flashing with lust once again.
“NO” I said loudly. He quickly took the sandwich from my outstretched hand.
“This will have to do, I guess” grumpily sitting on the bar stool. I could stop the laugh. What a child. He acted as if I gave him broccoli, instead of the chocolate bar he wanted.
“I’m going to go look for all the Alpha's,” Elijah said before leaning over and kissing me so softly I thought I imagined it for a minute there. Then he exited the kitchen. I know this is going to start a fight. He won’t take this well.
All alphas came down the stairs all but Elijah and Alpha Orion. This means they are talking. Orion is going to tell Elijah that Lilian is his mate.
“You are welcome to anything in the fridge. I should be in the room while they are talking this isn’t going to be pretty” I mumbled the last part more to myself. While Kai busted out laughing.
As I made it to the office doors, that's when the words came out of Orion's mouth. “She is my mate” I heard a deep growl. I opened the doors making my presence known. “Elijah calm down” I yelled out making my way over to him.
“Don’t tell me to calm down. Did you hear what he said? He is Lilian’s mate. Our 6 year old daughters mate.” he growled out.
Any other time I probably would’ve cried and jumped for joy when he said “our daughter” but right now I couldn’t. I had to stop him from going for Alpha Orion's throat. I went to push at Elijah’s chest only for him to push me to the side before launching himself at Orion.
I lost my balance, causing me to fall back. Hitting the desk before falling no so gracefully on the hardwood floors. “FUCK” I cursed loudly. That’s all it took for Elijah to stop and look at me. That’s when he realized what he did. In his anger he pushed me back.
I saw the guilty look on his face. I knew what was going on in his head. He is projecting in. “I’m okay” I said slowly getting up off the ground. I looked over Elijah’s shoulder nodding for Orion to leave.
Elijah squinted his eyes while looking me up and down. Trying to find any scratches. “I’m fine, see,” I said, spinning out.
“I’m sorry, I blacked out” he said wrapping his arms around me. “I keep hurting you” He whispered into my ear.
“I’m okay” I leaned into him. “Our little girl has her mate” I whispered rubbing his back. Trying to keep him from going after Orion.
“She ain’t ready for a mate” He growled out loudly. I knew he wasn’t taking this well. After all she is just a baby.
“I know but this is good. She gets to literally grow up with her mate. We don’t need to tell her that he is her mate quite yet. However, if I must say she swears up and down she is going to marry him when she is big” I said laughing softly.
“I don’t like this” He growled before leaning kissing me.
“I know you don’t like it but he is her mate. You can’t kill him. So get used to it baby” I kissed him back softly before pulling away. “Now let's go down stairs the other Alphas thought you were going to kill Orion '' I chuckled pulling him with me out the doors.
Chapter 27
“War is coming sooner than we thought. The guards at the west border captured 10 wolves.” Ten wolves managed to breach our borders” Elijah said loudly. “They want war. Then that’s what they will get”
“We will be prepared” The Alphas all said one by one.
“This war is just starting, be prepared for anything” I said looking around the room. “People may come after your packs. Some of those Alphas that were here could be working with the other side. Prepare yourselves and your pack.”
After all the Alphas left, including Orion. Who took a lot of convincing. He didn’t want to leave Lilian. Which is understandable. But he needed to do what is best for his pack for the meantime.
The girls came down for breakfast after the Alphas left. “Where Malachai?” Lilian asked, looking around for him.
“He had to go back to his pack. They need him” I said trying to make this simple.
“But he was supposed to stay here. He promised to eat breakfast with me” She pouted.
“He’ll be back baby. I don’t know when but he will. You made a lasting impression on him” I chuckled to myself when I saw the joy on her small face.
“Really” She asked excitedly, jumping up and down.
“Yes baby, now let's feed you too. You guys must be starving I said as Adira nodded her head fast. “What are you wanting? Pancakes? Cereal?”
“Cereal,” both girls said. “Well cereal it is. What kind do you want?” I said opening the pantry so they can see what cereal is available.
“Lucky charms” Lilian yelled
“Cinnamon Toast Crunch” Adira yelled. I grabbed both containers with the cereal before placing them on the counter. I turned and grabbed two bowls and spoons. Next I grabbed the milk from the fridge.
I handed Adira her cereal, so she can pour as much as she wants while I handed Lilian hers. “So what are you two doing today?” I asked pouring Lilians milk then placing it back in the fridge.
Both
girls shook their heads. “Well you can’t go outside without someone with you. Either me or Daddy or the guards around the palace. Do you understand?” I said looking at both of the girls.
“Yes momma” Both girls mumbled with their mouths full. Adira called me momma. It warmed my heart instantly.
I have to talk to Elijah about Adira. She needs parents. She doesn’t have any. We have room for her. I’ve already become attached as has Lilian.
Chapter 28
It has been a month and a half since we found out Lilian is Orion's mate. Elijah has finally gotten used to the idea of Malachai being mates with Lilian. Mainly because he knows that no matter what he will protect her with his life.
I would say they have gotten closer. More Alphas have joined our forces. As expected many of the one at the meeting were on the other side. That is how we found out they are working with Rogues. Ever since 10 infiltrated the west border and were captured.
Rogue attacks on the other packs have happened as well. None would speak of their plans. So they were executed.
Today was our weekly meeting. This is where the Alphas that we trusted the most were all called back to the palace. One of Lilians favorite days of the week. She knew she would see him. The man she still swears she is going to marry.
Every week he comes with something new for her. The couple of weeks he brought her a couple toys. The next week he brought her a journal so she could write in. The week after that he brought her his favorite book. The following week he brought her fresh baked snacks from his pack. Lets see what he will bring her this week.
She is slowly melting his cold heart. He is so gentle with her. They would go out back and play with each other after the weekly meetings were over. He would stay till dusk before having to go back to his pack.
She would always cry, holding on to his pant legs not wanting him to leave. He would stay as long as he could. Still she would cry when he’d leave. She’d be upset for a couple days.
