Anastasia got her stuff and plonked herself down next to me. “So you guys! Lets play truth or dare!” She said. “I'll start! Jodie truth or dare.” I thought about this. “Truth.” I said. “OK! Have you ever got off with a boy?” I looked at her. “No.” I said. She looked disappointed. “OK! Jelly truth or dare?” Anastasia said. Jelly looked at me pleadingly and said “Truth.” Anastasia looked at Jelly and said “Who do you fancy?” Jelly looked at her unmoving unblinking. I looked at Jelly and said “That's not really your business is it Anastasia. How about you sleep on the sofa today?” Anastasia looked at me and scowled. “Fine” She said as she flounced off. “This was no fun whatsoever anyway!” She stomped downstairs. Jelly looked at me and said “Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!” I smiled. “What are friends for?” I said. Jelly laughed and said “Stealing food from obviously!” I laughed with her and then we fell asleep on Jelly's 'bed'. I didn't even wake up until like eleven in the morning.
When I awoke I went straight back to sleep. I had a late night after all. When I awoke a second time, Jelly was already awake. “Morning.” She said. I looked at her. “Morning.” I replied. We went downstairs. My father and mother where talking about the child again. “We are going hunting.” I mouthed at my father. He nodded “Be back soon.” He mouthed back. I nodded. Me and Jelly rush out the door.
When we got to the woods we separated to hunt. I heard Jelly's footsteps. She was going for some lions. I looked around and let my instinct take over. There it was-a grizzly bear. I got ready to pounce when...Beep Beep Beep. Went my phone. It was Matthew so I answered. “Hey Matt whats up?” I asked. “Anastasia just broke up with me!” He replied. It sounded like he was crying. “Hey Matt don't worry! She's a bit of a bitch anyway!” I said quickly. “Can you get Jelly?” He asked. “OK why?”I replied. “Just get her!” He said. I looked around “Hey Jelly?” I called “Matthew wants you!” Jelly rushed over to me and snatched the phone. “Hello?” She said. She looked into the phone eyes lighting up. “Yeah totally! Yeah!” Jelly said really loud. “OK see you in a minute!” She said “Really Ahh I love you too! Bye see you in 2 minutes!” Jelly said. She hung up and ran to my house.
When I caught up with Jelly. She was buzzing. “Jelly... JELLY!”I shouted. “JELINA!” Then she turned round. “What?” She said sharply. I looked at her. She wasn't normally this stubborn.“Will you just stop and tell me whats going on?” I begged. She looked back at me and said “Look, Jodie.” She began. “I'm sorry but we can't be friends anymore. I'm going out with Matt now. I. Well I don't need you anymore.” She ran into the house. Where Matthew was waiting. She kissed him and went in.
I ran off. I found a spot in the woodlands. Then I sat down. I tried to sleep but every time I shut my eyes I saw all the good times me and Jelly had together. The day I turned her. The day we turned thirteen together. Everything we did. The times we shared. All for nothing, 'I don't need you anymore.' She said. I knew she'd be at the house, so I dare not go home. My phone beeped with a text from Matthew saying-
Hey Jode,
I am sorry about Jelly but I love her. Come home please.
She is gone home!
Where are you Jodie?

Then my phone beeped again from Jelly.

I went home. I was cold and I was tired. When I walked in I was warm again. All though I loved October, November and December, it was far to cold for my liking. “Jodie!” My mother said. “Your OK.” She embraced me. “Jode!” I heard Matthew shout. He reached out to give me a hug but I stepped back. My father walked in. “Jodie!” He said. “Are you al-right my sweet child?” I just nodded and started to walk up stairs. “Jodie!” Matthew exclaimed. “I wouldn't go up there...” But I ignored him. As I walked past his room I saw Jelly. She was in a really revealing top and pants. Waiting for Matthew probably. Matthew walked into his room and started kissing her, she had changed so much already. “Goodbye Jelina...” I whispered. But she heard me and glared at me. I think she hissed. Jelly never hisses. I stomped into my room and phoned Melanie. Melanie is my friend. She moved down here yesterday and I haven't had a chance to see her. Her full name is Melanie Jane James. She is a vampire from Yorkshire.
“Hello!” Melanie's voice chimed. I smiled into the phone. Mel was always happy. “Hey Mel!” I said. I swear I heard her grin. “Jodie wody!” She exclaimed. “Come down to mine right now! We have to talk!” I hesitated. “Where do you live now?” I asked. She laughed. “I live on 27 downing way.” She said. I gasped. “That’s only two doors after me!” I laughed. She laughed. “Right I expect you here in thirty seconds!” She said and hung up. I bolted out the door.
“Mel!” I exclaimed when I saw her. She hadn’t changed since summer. “My Jodie wody!” She exclaimed back at me. “Come in!” She smiled. Her mother came to door as I came in. “Jodie!” She said “My darling when I heard all the shouting I thought it was you!” Her mother is a vampire as well. That's where Mel got it from. When I went up to Mel's room she told me some big news. “I'm starting at your school!” She shouted. “What class are you in?” I told her. “10z1” I said. She looked fit to burst. “Omigod! Me too!” I laughed. We were together again. As we should be. “Do you wanna stay round?” She asked. I didn't hesitate. “YES!” I exclaimed. Thank god.
I soon rang my mum and told her. She seemed happy for me. I actually spent the last week of holiday at Mel's, apart from running home for five minute to grab my school uniform. Me and Mel caught up like crazy and soon we were better friends than me and Jelina ever were. I actually couldn't wait to return to school with Mel. We felt like sisters. On the last day of holiday we had we went to the fair. Mel's mum bought us so much! Then we got home and fell asleep and believe it or not we were so excited for tomorrow.
“Jode! I am scared out of my mind here!” Mel said the next day. I sighed, I knew she would be as popular as me. “Don't worry Mel. You will be fine! Just stick with me!” I said. But really I was more scared than her. I was so worried about what would happen with Jelina. But I also thought of everything me and Mel will do. Like hunt together at lunch, whisper in class. We bolted out the door. Thank God we didn't have breakfast.
Mel was in my form as well. So we went into form chatting like fools. As soon as I walked in I saw Jelina's face. It was like she had sucked a lemon. “Hey Miss!” I said to our form tutor. “This is...” She looked at me. “Melanie.” She finished for me. I looked at her. “Sorry!” I smiled. She laughed. “Hello Melanie!” She said. “How very nice to meet you!” That’s when Jelina came over. “Hey Jodie!” She said. “Hi! You must be Melanie!” She had a big fake smile on her face. She hugged me. “Jodie I miss you! Please lets be friends again!” She begged. I looked at her. She always does this. I just walked away with Mel.
The day rushed past as usual. I went back to Mel's again because I knew Jelina would be round mine again. I wished Matthew would just dump her. Ring, Ring, Ring. I picked up. “Sorry!” I mouthed to Mel. “Talk to me!”I said to the phone. “Jodie! Its Matt. Jelly's lost it.”
“Ha!” I said. “Go back to your girlfriend. Course she's lost it!” I heard Matthew shout something which sounded like. “Jelly NO!” He then hung up. I shook my head at Mel. “Matthew says Jelina's lost it.” I told her. She smiled. “Silly old Matthew!” She said as we walked back to her house. When we got there Mel's mother was waiting with fresh blood. “Drink up girls!” She said. We smiled.
After our fill of blood Mel and I went up stairs. Ring Ring Ring. I picked up. “Sorry” I mouthed to Mel (again) She just grinned a
nd mouthed “Little miss popularity!” back to me. “Jodie!” Said a voice. “Jelina?” I said “What the hell is wrong with you!” I heard some rustling. “W-well Jodie!” She said “I wanna be f-friends again!” I could have screamed at her. Maybe even killed her. “Not a chance Jelina.” I heard her body shake violently. “Well Jodie. If I can't have you no-one can.” She said. She then hung up.
I must of gone paler than a normal vampire because Mel had to shake ME violently. “Jode?” She said as she shook me. “Jodie?” I opened my eyes. As I exhaled I said “This is it Mel. She's coming for you. She has really,really lost it.” Mel went paler than me and we just sat there for nearly two hours. Silently. Me and Mel are never silent. Not ever.
Knock, Knock. I heard Mel's mother open the door. I tensed, thinking this was Jelina coming for Mel. But it was not for Mel's mother said that my mother wanted me home. I sighed and grabbed my school bag. I gave Mel a huge hug and told her “Be safe.” She nodded and showed me out. My mother told me her baby should be coming soon. Everything is going wrong.
When I got back home my mother asked if I was hungry. Obliviously I said no. She asked if I had eaten and as I was about to reply my father said “Leave the poor girl alone darling!” I looked at him gratefully and went to my bedroom. I soon got a text from Mel-

My mother soon called me down for dinner. But I told her I was going to Mel's for dinner. As soon as I left the house I rung Mel. “Hey Mel!” I said to the phone. “I'm on my way to your house.” Mel sounded quite stricken when she said “Oh, OK! See you in a minute.” About two seconds later I was at her house. She looked quite pissed of. “Hey, you OK?” I said. Mel shook her head. “No. My father. He's back.”
I gasped. Mel's father left years ago because her mother kicked him out due to violence. He was always beating Mel because... He is a vampire as well. Mel was guaranteed being a vampire and I was not. “Mel!” I exclaimed. “You have to get out!” Mel shook her head. “Two things. The first thing is that I am strong enough now. Second is that I need to be with my mother.” I shook my head. “No! Mel your father is a fully grown vampire!” Mel thought for a second and said “He brought someone as well. Saying that she was my sister. My full sister. My mother and father had her. My mother nodded. Her name is Victoria.”
“Say what?” I said. She nodded. “Its true.” She said. “She is coming now.” She walked gracefully. He eyes a golden colour. Her hair an auburn brown. She looked a lot like Mel. Also like Mel and me she was a Goth. “Hey!”She said. “You must be Jodie! I'm Vicki!” I nodded. She was a bit bubbly for a Goth.“Hello Victoria. I have heard all about you.” I said to her. She smiled. “Daddy said that he missed mummy, so we are coming home!” I looked to Mel. Who was dumbfounded. “We are related?” She mouthed. I shrugged. “Vicki, Mel! Oh! Jodie! Come in now!” Mel's mother and father exclaimed. We all went in.

“Mel, Vicki and Jodie I suppose. Me and your father are getting back together!” Said Mel and Victoria's mother said. My jaw dropped. Mel just stared and Victoria fizzed up. “EEEEEK” She exclaimed “MUMMY AND DADDY ARE GETTING BACK TOGETHER!!!!” I was shocked. With everything that's going on now this. Joy.
The next two weeks were hell for me and Mel. Even though the fact that Mel's parents were back together, they seemed to be OK. I could just about cope with the fact that Victoria (Please call me Vicki) was hanging with us now. She was just tolerable. No. What really got on my bloody nerves was Jelina. For two weeks she has been after Mel. I hadn't even spoken to my own bloody mother for a week because of that bitch.
Jelina was at every corner. ESPICALLY since Matthew dumped her (Top man) and got back together with Annie (Yes Annie. Anastasia is actually quite nice. It was all down to Jelina that I hated her.). Mel and me (AND Victoria.) were always on the run. Seriously we have to get Jelina locked up. Really. Mel kept saying she was fine. But she was scared. I knew she was and to be honest so was I. I was petrified. To think that my once best friend was out to murder my best friend.
I decided I had to clear my head. I hadn't hunted for more than two weeks now. So I fled into the woods. But this time instead of hunting quickly not even thinking I thought. About everything. Actually instead of hunting I ended up reassessing my whole life. I thought about Mel, Jelina, my mother, my farther, Victoria, Matthew, My newborn brother or sister and when I came out of the woods I'd changed.
I went to Mel's after that. Crying as I went. I was shocked. It was like a new feeling inside me. It made me cry. This feeling was not sad though. This feeling was like nothing I thought a vampire would feel. It shocked me. When I got to Mel's she embraced me. Then said “Jelina is here!” I fell backwards. That's the last thing I remember.
“Jodie?” I heard a voice. “Wake up!” I awoke. Mel. I reached up to her. I was still on the floor. She pulled me up. “Y-you just passed out?” She said. That’s when I looked up. Jelina had Mel by the throat. This was it. Mel was dead. Her mother and father were trying to fight Jelina but she had grown far to strong,
“Jelina?” I said. “Can't you just stop now? You've gone insane. Lost your marbles!” But as I finished my sentence the police arrived. “Which one of yiz is Jelina?” Said the leader. Jelina smiled and put her hand up. “I am officer!” She said. The officer looked at her. “Well kid. Your going away for a long time!” He said to her. “Take her away boys!”
And that was it. No-more Jelina. Well for a couple of years anyway. Mel was fine apart from a small cut on her neck due to the knife which healed very quickly (Take a guess how long?). I was OK. My mother was now very nearly going to have the baby and Matt and Annie might be getting married (just a hunch but you never know.)
A couple of weeks after the big incident with Jelina me, Annie and Mel went out for lunch and a bit of a girl chat when I saw a girl that looked very familiar. Almost like Jelina. Except with more make up on. As she walked by me she did a bit of a wink. At me. Now I have a feeling this is not over.
