Terrence was unconvinced of the utility of the armor against the wolves. He felt his agility was halved by the armor and his thrusts with his sword were slower and weaker. Still, the men were fighting strong and avoiding some claw and teeth marks. But, the wolves were learning as they fought. In packs they’d knock a soldier down and then tear at the armor until flesh was revealed. Then they would tear at the flesh. Many a man lay dead in their wake. But the wolves’ forces were depleting also. However, as the men gained ground on the wolves, more wolves joined the battle. The wolves were enjoying an endless supply of reinforcement.

Drake, Jack, and Terrence held strong. The men did not surrender and hope still hung tight.
