I’m grateful to my family for their unwavering support. To my husband who brings me coffee every morning, listens to me work out plot problems while we mountain bike our local trails, and is a superdad to our daughters, thank you. Thank you to my daughters, who celebrate with me when I finish the first draft all the way to when the first copy arrives in the mail, you are the best cheering squad a writer could hope for. To my mom, who reads everything I write, thank you for sharing your love of literature. To my dad, thank you for encouraging me to follow my passion. A big thanks to my brother for being my friend and for making me laugh like no one else.
I’m also indebted to many helpers for bringing this story to life. My friend Craig Isenberg, M.A., LMFT., has given me incredible insight into Cassidy’s mind and motivations. Thank you for your time and for answering my endless questions. To Michael Barker for instruction on driving a motorcycle and finally, to my friend Chris Zeus, for giving me a peek into the world of biker rallies, runs, and general motorcycle culture that helped color many of the scenes in this book. I would not have been able to write this story without your help.
Thank you to my readers and especially to my amazing beta group! Stories are meant to be shared, and having your support means the world to me.
