Married With Me: A With Me In Seattle Universe Novel Page 4

He pulls me closer. My thighs are resting on his. “I wish I had seen more of your performances. I’ll try and make each one this week.”

“They’re all on YouTube,” I say. “The team.”

He gets up off the couch and retrieves his phone and hands it to me. “Show me your favorite.”

I load up one my team does regularly for exhibitions. Justin sits next to me and pulls me closer. I’m very aware of him. The way my shoulder fits under his arm and the way my head automatically rests on his chest.

  “Do you mind?”

I shake my head. As much as I want to jump into bed with him, I’m also intrigued. For some reason I want him to see this part of my life. Besides, we still have all night. And the rest of the week.

  Justin

I don’t know what it says about me that I have a beautiful woman laying on top me, fast asleep and not because I fucked her into exhaustion. That was the plan. Still is, actually. She’d showed me a few videos of her routines which led to a discussion about us going home. That inevitably led us to a discussion about our families. Her over-protective mother wanted all her babies home. My grandfather was being stubborn about coming to live with me.

Thinking back, it was fascinating how easy we were with each other. Instead of having to look for conversation to fill the awkward air before we got to the sex, I experienced something else. We spoke so much, that we were not in any hurry to get to the next part of the evening. As if we had all the time in the world.

She listened to me and was interested in me. She didn’t care about the bottom line or image. Even though she asked about profitability, it was about me. Outside of my family, and her two older brothers, I’d never had that from another person. Someone always wanted something. She doesn’t.

It’s obvious that she’s smart and kind, not to mention beautiful, and sexy as fuck. And currently her body is sprawled over me. I’m acutely aware that she’s not wearing any underwear and that the hem of her dress has ridden up to just below her ass. Her skin is soft beneath my fingers as I stroke along her upper spine.

I’m hard, almost painfully so. And as soon as she wakes up, she’ll feel it prodding into her belly. I’m not ready to wake her though. Having her here like this feels good, comfortable. We’ll eventually get to the bedroom. Right now, I’m just enjoying being with her.

I must have drifted off because the next thing my alarm is bleeding from my phone next to me. I turn it off just as Angela raises her head. Her hair’s in a nest on her head. Her eyes are sleepy and there’s a dent on her cheek where the crease of my T-shirt pressed into her skin. I don’t think I’ve seen anything more beautiful. Waking up with her…

This week only. I repeat the mantra in my head before smiling. “Good morning.”

She glares at me and grunts. So, she’s not a morning person. Well, that won’t do. If we’re going to be spending time together, morning sex will be part of it. I’ll just have to get her in a better mood.

She narrows her eyes as she takes in her surroundings. “What time is it?”

“Six AM.” I shift so I’m not poking into her. “Sorry my alarm woke you.”

As she turns her body, her hip moves over my erection. Angela stills and raises an eyebrow at me. “Seriously?”

“I don’t see why you’re surprised.” I smile at her and move us into a sitting position with her straddling me. “Surely, this is not your first experience with morning wood. Besides, I have a beautiful woman literally draped all over me.”

Her eyes narrow and a small smirk lifts the corner of her mouth. “How do two people who are this attracted to one another end up talking all night and not get around to the good stuff.”

“Oh, come on. Are you saying you didn’t enjoy yourself?” I certainly had. Sure, I can’t wait to be inside her, but I don’t regret last night at all. “At least now we’re not two strangers who knew each other a long time ago.”

“That’s how Vegas works. But yes, I enjoyed last night.” She slips off my lap. “First, I’m going to brush my teeth.”

That was not what I was expecting. “You know that’s not how morning sex works, right?”

“What makes you think sex was going to happen, now.” I just raise an eyebrow and she laughs. “Okay, but we’re not anywhere close to having to deal with each other’s morning breath.”

Was it strange that I want to get there? Probably. Waking up with her in my arms was strange. Not unpleasant, really, but I don’t want to explore the feelings it conjured.

I let her use the bathroom first. If she was going to be spending the rest of the week with me, we might as well negotiate using the same bathroom. Once she’s done, I brush my teeth and my mind wonders about how this is going to work. It seems a little awkward to just go into the bedroom and just strip her naked. Then again, as she reminded me, this is Vegas. I might as well just go with the flow.

I step out of the bathroom and all the worries I just had fly out of the window. I swallow as I take her in. Angela is sitting on the edge of my bed, completely naked. Her legs are crossed, but her hands are at her sides. God, she’s beautiful.

Keeping eye contact with her, I pull my wallet from my jeans and pull out the condom I slipped in there earlier. I toss the silver packet on the bed and pull my T-shirt off before walking over to her. The eye contact may not have been our best idea, but I cannot pull my gaze away from her.

I kneel and uncross her legs. Wedging myself between her legs, I cup her cheeks and pull her lips to mine. The kiss starts out slow. I lick along the seam of her lips, urging her to open for me. She complies and slow is a forgotten memory. Her tongue glides over mine. I tilt her head to the side, taking full control. Her hands drift to the back of my neck. The feel of those soft fingers over my skin sets my blood on fire. I want to know her everywhere. I want to commit every part of her to memory.

Moving my lips over her jaw, I slide my hands from her face to her shoulders, then over her breast. I graze my thumb over her puckered nipple, and she lets out a groan.

  “Oh God, Justin.”

“Yes, say my name.” I want her to know it’s me doing this to her.

I take one nipple into my mouth and her body bucks. My hand wraps around her to prevent her from lying on the bed. I’m not ready for that quite yet. I tug at her nipple with my teeth before soothing it with my tongue. She’s writhing in my arms as I move to her other breast giving it the same treatment.

Slowly, I lower her on the bed. My mouth starts its slow descend down her torso. I circle her navel, nipping and licking her as I move even further down until I reach her bare pussy.

I spread her legs even further, exposing her to me completely. “So fucking beautiful.” I run a finger through her slick folds. “God, you’re so wet already.”

“Not sorry,” she says as she watches me explore her. “Have you met you?”

Smiling, I lower my mouth and lick her from opening to clit. Her body arches off the bed. “Oh my God.”

I push my hand to her stomach, keeping her in place. I tongue around her clit and enter her with one finger. Her body writhes beneath my hand. Using a second finger, I pump faster as I suck at her clit. “Let go, Angel. I’ve got you.”

And she does. Feeling her coming on my mouth and hand has me riled up. Before she comes down completely from the orgasm, I shuck off jeans and boxers and slip on the condom and thrust inside her.

We both let out a long groan as I seat myself to the hilt inside. I don’t move, I want this to last.

Her hands grab on to my ass. “Justin, you need to move.”

Keeping my strokes slow and deliberate, I move inside her. Her nails digging into me spurs me on and I up the tempo. “Shit, Angel, you feel so good.”

She makes a sound somewhere between a grunt and a moan as she clenches again. “Justin, I’m going to come again.”

Her words make me lose control. She comes hard. Her walls have me in a vise grip as she cries out my name.

  I
lose all sense of my rhythm as I drive into her. I pant her name, the world around me goes dark as I follow her over the edge.

Once I’m spent, I collapse to the side of her. “Fuck.”

“Yeah.” Her breathing is as labored as mine is. I’d bet her heart is racing, too. “That was… I don’t have words.”

Neither do I. We lay side by side, both silent. There is no way one night with her would have been enough. Fuck, I’m not sure one week will be enough.

  Chapter 5

  Angela

I’m supposed to be fit and flexible, and it was one round of sex. How am I this sore? One thing was for sure, sex with Justin was like nothing I’d ever experienced. The things that man could do with his hands and tongue and cock should be deemed illegal. They probably were in some countries.

What surprised me was that he didn’t push it the night before. He was as happy as I was just talking. It wasn’t that neither of us were interested. But I think maybe we were both putting it off, knowing we were crossing a line that we wouldn’t be able to go back from.

We were right. There was no way we’d be able to go back from that experience. I’ve never had more than one orgasm during sex. In fact, towards the end with Carl, even one was pushing it. But it was more than that. There was something about being with him that was a little unsettling. Not in a creepy way. More like in an I want more way.

I shake my head. I cannot be thinking about the hot sex I had earlier right now. My mind needs to be focused on the performance. That wasn’t going to happen though. Usually, I use my hair and makeup time to get into the zone. But since Amelia Montgomery will be doing that today, I will need to find a quiet space once she’s done.

We’ve met a few times over the last two years and she was also from Seattle like Cassie and I. Since she was one of our named sponsors I wasn’t going to decline the offer for her to do my makeup. Plus, she’s really good at it.

I sit in the dressing room chair. I’m not doing my own makeup. Amelia is doing a series of show makeup tutorials for her YouTube followers. She’s a beauty vlogger and influencer and decided to do a series for her younger followers who often know nothing about makeup when they start out. They know even less about show makeup.

“I hear you’re quitting the team,” she says as she sets up her camera. “Cassie says you’re looking for a job in Seattle.”

Cassie mentioned that Amelia was also from Seattle. “Yeah. I’ll probably send out my resumé towards the end of next week. I won’t be able to go to interviews until I’m actually in Seattle. That will be the week after.”

She switches the record button but carries on talking. “What are your interests? Experience?”

“Don’t you need me to keep my face still while you record?” I’ve been doing this long enough to know how to have a conversation with minimal facial movement.

“As far as you can, please.” She adjusts the lights around the mirror. “But I find I do my best work for others when I talk to them. I’ll do the audio afterwards, so our conversation won’t be part of the video.”

  “That’s good to know.”

“You ladies are doing a normal high ponytail for this morning’s number right?”

I nod. “We’re supposed to look like classic cheerleaders. You know, with a little more skin.”

Amelia smiles. “Okay, got it. So, tell me about your experience.”

“I’ve been a cheerleader for half of my life. That’s it.”

Amelia narrows her eyes at me in the mirror. “Okay, let me ask you this. You manage all of your social media accounts, right? Who decides what you can and can’t post?”

“Me. I mean we all manage our own accounts. But generally, I advise the team on what’s a good idea to post. We try to capitalize on the label that everyone has.”

“Explain that to me.” Amelia was putting me on the spot. Making me think about something I’d never really considered. But honestly, it was something I enjoyed doing.

“Well because we’ve become influencers, by default we’ve had to almost pigeonhole ourselves. Darren’s the player, Lilly is the party girl. I’m supposed to be the responsible one.”

She tilts her head. “What do you mean supposed to be?”

“I just fell into that role, what with being the captain and one of the few that was in a serious relationship. But I don’t know if I did a good job there.”

“Are you kidding me? You did an excellent job. I’ve seen your Instagram feed. Close your eyes.” She strokes my upper eyelid with liquid liner. “Your feed is filled with team photos, brunches with friends and date nights with your boyfriend. It’s the epitome of a responsible person in a serious relationship.”

“But it’s like a false portrayal of my personality. I also like to party and get drunk, I’m not as responsible as people think. I make impulsive decisions and do stupid stuff all the time.”

I try to look at Amelia.

“I’m not done, I still need to put on your lashes.” A few seconds later she’s back fidgeting with my eyes. “I think you underestimate your power. Your followers know you party as well. Every time Lilly tags you in one of her girl’s night out photo’s your followers see that. That’s her job, to show off her friends and who she parties with. Your feed shows your priorities.”

I never thought of it that way. I’d been so busy making sure that everyone plays to their own followers. I never considered how we each influence each other’s fanbase. “I just think that our feeds should reflect the kind of products we intend to show off. You’re an influencer, you know every product we use, and the restaurants we visit is an endorsement.”

Amelia continued questioning me about being an influencer. Yeah, I could see that was what she was angling for. But honestly, it wasn’t something I wanted to do. It did give me some ideas, though. I continued to answer her questions, listening to her advice. She was a self-made woman. Sure, she was related to The Montgomery’s but everything she achieved was through her own determination and hard work. I could learn a lot from a woman like her.

“You can open your eyes.” She looks at me and smiles. “Perfect. Is your boyfriend moving with you back to Seattle?”

I shake my head. “We broke up last week. I just wanted a clean break from everything. Besides, we were becoming stale and I couldn’t see myself with him at eighty.”

She laughs. “Yeah, that’s actually a good measure. If you can’t see the future with him in it, he’s got to go.”

My mind automatically went to Justin. There was no doubt I would still know him when I was old and senile. Our families were friends, after all. But the image of the two of us on rocking chairs sharing inappropriate jokes and reminiscing about Vegas, that was unexpected. Justin was here and now. Once we were both at home, we’d go our separate ways, only seeing each other at holiday dinners. There was no way either of us would put our families through having to take sides.

We needed to make the most of our time while we were here. Take what we could get. Maybe I could even act out one or two of my fantasies while I’m here with him.

“Angela.” Amelia was waving her hand in front of my face. “You disappeared for a second there. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that a guy’s responsible for that smile. But you’re recently single.” She narrows her eyes at me. “Right?”

“You remind me of my hairdresser.” I say, laughing at her knowing smile. “Fidget with my hair and face and the next thing I’m spilling all my secrets.”

“So, you have a secret.” It wasn’t a question. She didn’t say more but she raised an eyebrow urging me to continue.

“There’s a guy.” Before she can question me further, I continue. “We’re hooking up for the week. We both have lives to go back to, so it can’t be anything serious.”

I don’t want to tell her that Justin also lives in Seattle. She might encourage the thoughts I’m trying hard not to have. This week, I remind myself. I have him for this week.

  “Honey, no
one gets that look just for hot sex. Open your mouth.” She lines my lips. “Don’t get me wrong hot-sex is important, but it doesn’t illicit that look. And that look should never be about someone you met in Vegas.”

Again, I don’t correct her. Seattle’s not a small city, and she would probably never meet Justin but it’s probably safer to keep him anonymous.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I’m trying not to sound defensive. “And it doesn’t matter. He’s only here for the week, and I leave next week.”

  “Just be careful, okay.”

I nod, I already know her advice was too late. If I was careful, I would never have gotten involved with a man like Justin Ellis.

  Justin

I stifle a yawn as I listen to Ned Coll drone on about all the pitfalls in my project. He’s a good man and one of the few people I approached to invest in my current endeavour. I want to make sure the investors are committed and won’t screw over the tenants. If it means I need to listen to him waffle on about all the problems on the project for hours, I’ll do it. Besides, some of the things he mentioned could be real problems down the line.

It’s good to have his perspective. He’s been in the property business since I was in diapers. He may have some outdated thoughts, but he can predict the market like no one’s business. And I have to appreciate the fact that the only reason he came to this conference is because I suggested it. Newfangled save the planet crap was not exactly his thing. But affordable housing was something that interested him. He even understood that keeping as much as possible off-the-grid would make it affordable in the long run.
