Love and Beyond Part 3 Page 36

by Nathan Colston

JD stood and walked out of the room. He looked at the men and said, “Take her to California.” He walked out of the building. Crown was standing in the parking lot waiting for him. JD walked over. “Crown, we wait until it is all over. Once they have finished with the last dance, we strike. I want to see that.”

That night, Gloria spent most of the night talking to Brianna about Britney. The next day, they buried Bobby next to his grandparents. JD wasn’t there. He stood watching as they lowered Britney in the ground holding a dozen red roses. Once she was covered, he walked up and laid the roses on the ground. He reached and took a small shovel and dug a hole about three feet down, pulled his wedding band off, and dropped it in the hole. He covered it back. He stood up, moved the roses over, and laid it down on top of where he put his ring. “I loved that ring because you bought it. Part of my love will always be with you.”

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cellphone and dialed a number as he walked away, he said, “Mulan, did Tonya get that list? I wired the money we agreed on to the account. If something happens to me, you finish that list. All of them and their families.”

Two weeks later, Gloria stood at the edge of the stage. She refused to be led out. She said she would never walk out on a stage ever again. JD and Crown sat beside her. She cried the entire time as the contest went on. Many friends and loved ones walked out on the stage and preformed the last dance of Britney Coleman and Bobby Coleman. After the show was over, JD gave her all the documents. For the first time since they had met, she saw the man that Britney and Bobby said he was. He started to walk away as she called his name. He looked back, and she gave him a hug. He walked away. She looked at JD walking away, grabbed her stomach, and stayed. Crown looked at Gloria and she said, “I love you. You know I do. I don’t want to face this night alone. Bobby’s family besides JD blames me for this. Britney’s mother and father are angry at me because JD signed custody of Delana to me. Brianna is not going back to Mississippi with me. She is leaving tonight. Please stay with me tonight.”

He nodded his head. She knew if he left, she would never see him again. Just like she knew she would never see JD. That night, she tried to get him to love her. But he wouldn’t even kiss her. All he did was hold her in his arms. She was exhausted; she fought sleep as long as she could. When she woke, all she found was a letter. She read it aloud, “Gloria. Last night at one time would have a been dream come true. I love you too. But it wasn’t right. But we had something not just a few of us but all of us. I loved your husband like a brother. Britney like she was mine. Just wishful dreaming, watching all of you do the things you did made life worth waking up for once again. I wanted to but couldn’t betray memories that way. I finally got my conscience back. But now it is time to once again shove it back in the darkness, where it was for so long. I know you would do anything to keep me safe.

“All of you would; she would have done the same thing. I can’t let this go. I have said many times some things are worth dying for. But until now, I never believed those words. I can’t stay; they will not hunt for me. I have some hunting to do myself. Goodbye.”

She cried because she knew she would never see him again. She got on the plane. Gruban and Natasha were with Cody and Catrina, helping them deal with what had happened.

Ivan and Nicole went back to Germany and had talked about continuing on with a dance career themselves. There was a void in her life. She stood looking out at the lake. “He is close to finding you.”

She didn’t even bother to face him. “I don’t care,” she said bitterly.

He walked up beside her. “You have dwelled in self-pity for long enough. They will live if you do as I say. I grow tired of dancing on eggshells with you. Your confidence problem is becoming a nuisance.” She didn’t say anything; he started walking away.

She turned as he was walking. “He will come for me and I know it.”

He stopped and faced her. “Gloriana, you have asked me for the truth many times. I have avoided it. The reason why he isn’t with you is because the dead were released. The man that killed Barbra has destroyed most of the books of the library. He has nearly destroyed everything in the archives. And now as we speak, he kills the dancers with the knowledge of the magic within dancing.”

He walked back to her. “You are next on his list. He made the mistake of not checking his work. A mistake he will not make again. He cannot come for you, even if he could. The reality you will see is not the one you see now. The only one that can set this right is me. That time has nearly passed. Do you forget all you think you know and go forward, or do you become the victim of your own self-pity?”

“What do I need to do?” she said in a voice of defeat.

He smiled. “You need to make a compost, something belonging to those you wish to bring back to your life. Blood, hair, skin, or something that held a strong sentimental value to them. The time frame to this cannot be longer than three years. Any older than that and the results will be horrific. Second, you will need the blood of very powerful dancer, one who is not connected to the departed. It would be best if they knew the departed, but that is not a requirement.” He leaned in and his lips were next to hers. “You have only yet begun to know the power of the magic that is locked within dancing. His lips parted and softly touched hers. She couldn’t stop herself from wrapping her arms around him as his kiss seemed to shove her will to resist down.

In a safe was a book that only one knew of. A book started to glow. On that book came the words…

  “SHEAMALIGHT EXISTENCE:

  Memory Series Book 5”

  The Magical Realm of Celtica

  Queen of the Celts Returns

  Chapter 34

  The Dance Within.

Gloria stood trembling as the man she only knew as the man locked within her mind held her gaze. She wanted to move, she wanted to say something, but she couldn’t. The desire to be his was overwhelming in her mind. “I will give you what you want, my pretty” rang in her head, but no sound reached her ears. “But the time is not now. You have one week to gather the things I told you. You will need to go to a place where the magic of dancing is strong. The studio where you fucked the God of the Afterworld. His magic still lingers, and it can be used. When this is over, you will not remember anything from the moment you were kidnapped until this. Doubtful that you will remember anything at all. That is a pity because you will not know that you belong to me. Isn’t that right?”

She couldn’t believe the words that flowed from her mouth so freely. “Yes, master.”

He grinned big as he took a step back. “Pity that I must wait. It is only the beginning. You have a lot to do and overcome. You are being hunted by more than just the Chandler family. You must act fast and use caution.” His voice became seductive. “Who will give you your every desire?” he said in a low voice that was nearly a whisper.

“You, master,” she said he turned walked away and Gloria dropped to her knees.

Gruban sat at the table, looking at Gloria. “You look like death warmed over,” he said.

“The papers have been drawn up. My children are with their grandparents. Brenda has Britney’s children. In two weeks, the papers will be final and everything I own will become yours. Gruban, make sure they know their real family. Not to say that they will not come to love you as they would us.” She stood.

“You need help, Gloria,” he said with a concerned voice. She looked at him and remained silent as she walked away.

William had the look of pure hate in his eyes as he looked up at JD. “Your sister fucked with the wrong family. That boy loved that woman and I’ll be damned if she is going to spend the rest of her life running from you.” Before William could say anything, JD pulled the trigger on his gun and emptied the clip in William.

Crown walked in. “They’re all dead, Jake. I’m catching chatter from another team. I think we are the target.

JD dropped the clip from the pistol and placed another in it. He turned, aimed, and pulled the trigger. Crown fell back on the floor. JD walked towards the door. “Sorry, brother, I don’t have an escape this time. No way will we survive; this way, you went in peace. And I get the comfort of meeting my maker knowing you didn’t suffer or get tortured. After all we been through, you deserve at least that much,” he said as he stepped over Crown’s body.

Sam unlocked the door to the studio in California. He heard sounds coming from one of the larger rooms. “What the hell is this all about, Gloria?” he called out as he made his way to the room that sound was coming from. The feel of magic was strong in the air. He stopped as he looked at the room. Gloria stood with her back to the door. Her hair was in a ponytail and went down nearly to her hips. She didn’t have any clothes on. His voice became one of concern. “Gloria,” he said as he looked at the strange symbols on the walls and floor. “What is this? What is going on?”

“He said it was the passage of the right of wrong,” she said with a voice that sounded distant.

“He, who is he?” Sam said as he slowly entered the room. He could feel a strange magic that was unfamiliar in the air.

“Dunkar, my master,” she said as she spun fast. His eyes opened wide and she fired a pistol she was holding and Sam fell down to the floor as her aim was true and hit him between the eyes. She walked towards Sam.

“Place his blood on the pentagrams; a fresh death will strengthen the magic of Hades,” She heard as she moved fast. Once she was at his body, she knelt, reached, and took Sam’s pocket knife out of his pocket, and started slicing him. She covered her hands with his blood and worked fast to cover the symbols with the blood. When she was done, she stood looking at Sam’s body.

“Drag it to the center of the room,” he commanded. She walked fast, grabbing Sam by the arms and pulling him to the center of the room.

“Now what,” she said in a tone that was filled with panic.

“Use the magic that is the air from Hades. Do the dance I showed you and you will open the portal to the could’ve been realm. The gods can travel between realms easier than mortals. Also no one will be able to detect his magic.”

Gloria started to move, her body doing the dance that she was shown. When the dance was over, she looked at him. Her eyes glazed over, her will not her own. Fear covered her body as she walked to him. “What now, master?” she said as she stood with her body next to his.

“His death is fresh. Cover every inch of your body with his blood. Reach inside of you to your very core. Call upon the magic that is locked within your aura. Take the device you call a hair dryer and dry the blood as you engage the magic that is locked within his blood. Pull it into your body as you become the sponge to hold it. That will open the passage to other dimensions and realms. Once it is dry, stand in a hot shower using only the flow of the water to clean the blood off. Then return to me. This you must do on your own without my help.”

Gloria dropped to her knees and sobbed as she looked at Sam’s body. “What the hell are you doing to me?” she cried out.

“His magic will decrease the longer that his spirit is out of his body. I suggest you hurry, or this will have been for nothing,” he said with an unconcerned voice.

Gloria walked over to Sam’s body, doing as she was told. Once she was covered with his blood, she walked upstairs fast. She did as he instructed, and a strange feeling came over her as the wind from the dryer blew on her body. She had tears in her eyes as she walked back downstairs to the room.

  Epilogue

She stopped as she entered the room. His tall body was rippled with muscles. Her heart pounded as the thought, ‘My god, he is so beautiful’ came to her mind. She swallowed hard as he looked upon her with a lustful glare. “Now what, we fuck on his body?” she said.

“Do you not feel it? The energy from the realms that are connected to the afterlife and otherworld.”

“Maybe I could if I wasn’t so terrified of you,” she admitted.

He smiled as he slowly approached her. “I want to feel the warmth of your mouth upon my cock. I can’t wait any longer.”

She fought it as best she could but found herself lowering down to her knees as he got close. “How can you do this? You haven’t even made a single step to project magic. You haven’t even engaged me for the challenge.”

He stopped in front of her and she was looking at his cock. “They wanted our magic to be forgotten. Just because things were forgotten doesn’t mean they no longer exist. When magic is used upon you enough, you learn its feel. You learn how to imitate it so you can defend against it. The compulsions of vampires is magic. They do not look nor do they think it is. They believe it is battle of the mind. They lack the ability to control the mind. They become willing slaves to their masters. The lack of blood flow to the brain causes that. As we are not undead, the blood flow allows us to think. Being that the brain controls the body and the will is locked within the subconscious mind where we do not have the ability to control, connect with that and you defenseless. Birds of a feather flock together. We were born of the same cloth so to speak. Just like the vampires can control their own easier than they can control others. It is with us, but the people would rather be helpless to defend against this by not knowing about it.”

His hands grabbed her by the hair. “You think yourself to be powerful and above the magic that you only have begun to understand it exists.” She opened her mouth as he moved her head towards him. Her hand started to lift to take hold of his cock. As she was about to reach him, a sudden wave of warm magic filled the air and covered her. Tears came to her eyes. ‘Stanley.’

“The problem with opening the realms and going through the afterlife is you never know what dead thing lurks next to the opening,” Stanley said as Gloria vanished.

Dunkar looked down at where Gloria once was. “That wasn’t nice of you,” he said as he raised his eyes to look at the man before him.

Stanley smirked. “It was nicer than what you were about to do,” he said as he squared off with him.

Dunkar crossed his arms across his chest. “Makes it all the better for the next time.”

Stanley walked up to him and stood just inches from him. “There will be no next time.”

Dunkar laughed loud and humor showed greatly upon his face. “You fool, do you know how many have stood like this before me with the same words you have just spoken?”

The room started to glow, and symbols of Land, Air, Water, Fire, and Magic began to illuminate the room. “Not nearly as many who have said what you just said.”

Dunkar gave an appraising nod. “Impressive. You must have been dancing with the dead. Yet you managed to implement it here. Very impressive indeed. But you cannot take the memory of what happens here with you. You do not attack because you know that before it is all over, you will need me.”

“The same can be said about you.”

Dunkar unfolded his arms and his tone became threatening as he warned, “Your insecurities are not without reason. Nor are they falsely placed. You will have no memory of this, and if you survive to continue on with what is taking place, nothing you can do will prevent them from being removed from your life. For the moment, we are working towards the same goal. Cross me this way again and I will work alone. Hold on to them with all that you are. But in the end, Stanley, it is most likely that they will never know you were even born. If you are actually born, that is. When it is all said and done, she will be mine. Guess what she wants to be. Oh, you can go on about what you think the morals of a woman is. But in reality, you don’t have a clue to what they want. She wants to feel the power of being controlled. She wants to feel her head being yanked back with the sting of pain in her scalp. She wants the dick in her mouth as she is being pounded hard. Not only that, Stanley, but much more.” Dunkar lifted his arms and shoved hard. Stanley went f
lying back. “Go to where you sent her. See the memory they allow you to have. And learn the cost that ignorance will bring.”

As Stanley was regaining his balance, a wave of energy hit him, and he vanished. Dunkar stood as the light consumed Stanley and he heard, “They won’t survive much longer. You have the woman deathly afraid of you. I do not think that is a wise move.”

Dunkar turned and faced the man. “I don’t have much of a choice if we are going to do what you suggested.” His voice became more serious. “They are powerful as you say. But power without knowledge is useless.”

The man walked up to him. “They are resourceful, and their resolve will prove to be overcoming. Stay out of sight; we are getting closer to finding him. He thinks we are dead and no longer a threat. If he discovers you, then we’ll assume the rest of us are present as well. The element of surprise is our only chance. That was why I chose them.”

Dunkar positioned himself where they were standing nearly nose to nose. “Not once in all the eternities have the Fates ever not failed to betray us. Even now they work with him to rid our kind. Because we are like the Fates, we go unseen by all including by the Fates and Destiny themselves. The Sheamalights can only do so much. You know just as well as I do this is so close, that a betrayal at the last possible second will be the end of them, us, and our kind. As powerful as we and they are, we are not above defeat. The fear I placed in her may not be remembered, but it will be felt.”

“What you said to him, was it for that same reason? Fear?”

Dunkar backed up and looked away. “I only spoke the truth to him. He will do good just to survive. I wish they could remember. They will never know what took place here.”

Stanley stood looking at Gloria lying on the floor. “Dad, why do you show me all of this?”

Francois said, “Only the damned can reveal things to the cursed, son.”
