  About the Author

  Richard Phillips is a writer and radio broadcaster who once lived in adland. While there he worked for agencies in London and New York, and helped create a number of successful campaigns. (And a few that are best forgotten.)

  He was born in Brighton and left school at 16 to attend the university of life, from which he failed to graduate.

  He is divorced*, has one daughter of whom he is inordinately proud, and a large television.

  Richard Phillips, who has a full head of hair, is 47.
