He wanted to make her moan. To make her crave him and no other. He wouldn’t do that if he didn’t make her come first.
He stopped his movements, waiting until her eyes found his again. “You’re mine, now, Courtney,” he said and slowly, oh so slowly, slid inside her, making sure to rub that sweet spot.
The move lit up her groin and brain, sending spasms through her that caused her to cry out. He repeated the movement, harder and faster, over and over even as she came, which somehow made her come harder. He came a second later, squeezing her throat a little harder and making her clench her muscles around his penis.
His forehead was wet with sweat when he pulled his hand from her throat and released her wrists. He had to mentally pull himself together before pulling out of her. Somehow, he felt simultaneously sated yet wanted her body even more.
He rearranged their bodies in the bed, getting behind her to make her the little spoon.
Spent and exhausted, Courtney quickly fell asleep in Bo’s arms, excited about what the next few months would bring.
Long after she was asleep, Bo lay awake, feeling the rise and fall of Courtney’s breathing beside him. He liked Courtney. She was beautiful, fun, and quick-witted. He liked the way she sometimes smiled wickedly while her eyes lit up with an idea.
But he worried that he’d already lost her before they’d ever really gotten a chance to start something real. He pulled her close and whispered in her ear, “I hope you’ll forgive me.”
But he didn’t think she would once she realized that he hadn’t invaded her privacy to learn about her liaisons with Raife.
He was Raife.
About the Author
Penny May has always loved writing and only recently set her mind to finally giving life to the romance stories and characters who have been living rent-free in her head for years.
She also writes urban fantasy under the name J.J. Russell (but fair warning, those books are more about a snarky vampire hunter and less about sexy billionaires).
Though she grew up mostly in Tennessee, she now lives in Downeast Maine with her farmer husband and two attention-loving dogs.
