After the secondary crash, Marcus Easterby poked his head above the safety of the benches. The Foreign Secretary had made a dash for it but he couldn't decide whether or not to follow McPherson's lead.
That was when the shouting began in the Press Gallery up above him. Marcus stared petrified at the gunman who was ranting and screaming at him in Arabic, waving a gun and gesticulating wildly with his head.
Khalid Chentouf flipped when the boy didn't react. He opened up with his Heckler and Koch, watching as first one 9mm Parabellum round tore into the boy's shoulder, spinning him round, before a succession of rounds caught him in the chest and head. Marcus Easterby was dead before he hit the bench.
