She pouted in confusion for a moment before biting her lip. He wasn’t entirely wrong after all. Elf culture had grown increasingly secretive over the past few centuries to the point where she wasn’t even certain what she was allowed to talk about. Then again, those same rules dictated that she shouldn’t even be able to talk to this idiot so… “I don’t know.”
Jacob winced at the response even as he continued smiling up at her. “Ooph. I know how much that sucks. Though I guess not nearly as much. If it helps at all, my lips are sealed.”
Amelia lowered her eyelids to glare at him as she hissed, “I’d believe that better with a straight face.”
To which Jacob only blushed harder and whispered, “Oh, well, um, I’m kind of, uh, bad with pretty woman, so…”
Amelia almost, almost punched him for that again, but instead just sighed in frustration as she looked away. She was supposed to be being friendly but she wasn’t even sure what to do for that. It wasn’t like there were other elves around her age back in the village. Not when she was the last… She shook her head out of the thought before looking back at Jacob. “You really are you know.”
Jacob glanced away, taking it as more of an insult than it was meant to be, but that was also because he wasn’t going to press his luck. Being generous, one could say the two had known each other for a day. Being less so? Ten minutes. Still, he did know what could clear things back up. “Come on. We both now have a limp, so why don’t we head out and get me home?”
“I don’t have a li-” Amelia paused in a way that was almost imperceptible. Jacob was looking for it though as it was the same reason why she had left her duvets back in the leaves. She did in fact need to cough, a sign of whatever was ailing her, but she was forcing it back, something that probably distracted her from walking like a normal person but instead tensed her up and caused slight screw ups.
Something he only had to open his mouth to say to earn himself another swing at his gut. Fortunately he was at least able to dodge this one, even if it got her to leap him now. Jacob was back on his feet now though and this sort of thing was more his specialty as he sidestepped her… and watched as she hit face first the same tree he had avoided hitting. “Amelia!”
Her roar told him she was fine. It also told him it was time to run, even as the last rays of sunlight started to fall and the two ran around, completely missing the point of their mission, for at least half of the night, playing with each other with each encounter. Learning bits and pieces and, by the end, agreeing to see each other.
“Tomorrow, right? I… I need more runs like that.”
Jacob paused before checking his phone for the time and frowning. “Actually, no. It’s already,” he paused to yawn, his eyes drooping a little as he reached up to get to the branch his backpack was on, “past eleven and it’s going to be near sunrise when I get home. I need sleep, food, and to get some homework done. Then I have school for the next four days so… I can come Fridays and Saturdays, but I have a life outside of here.”
Amelia cocked her hips to the side, reminding him of the lithe form that was silhouette by the darkness. “Oh, more important than a village of sexy elves?”
Jacob paused for a moment, thinking about what his dad had always talked about with the forest on the mountain. About the developments being made everyday. He glanced at his books and his backpack before shaking his head. “Maybe more important than even you and I having met today. At least… to me.”
Amelia frowned at that as she stepped closer and whispered, “Alright, but can I know what you’re talking about?”
Jacob slipped his backpack on his back as he bit his lip. As much as he had learned about Amelia, like her being an only child, something she had said in a bittersweet tone, or how she was taught by the best of her clan, he still knew so little about her. Still, he wasn’t one to hide. Not about himself at least. “My dad was a volunteer search and rescue person who specialized in mountain and wooded rescue. He taught me a lot, but it was I who figured out how to maybe start to try to preserve this place. A degree in environmental studies is the first step to that. Not nearly the hardest but… the first.”
Amelia was silent as she looked away. The elves of course knew how fragile the existence of their forest was. They weren’t oblivious to the outside world, with their best scouts like her master even sometimes slipping into human society for a few days to learn what they could. The news never came back good. Not for them. “Do you… Do you really think you can do something like that?”
“Not alone and… and unfortunately you all don’t exactly have the sway I need from others to help me so… Sorry.”
Amelia slipped a strand of hair behind on her ears, letting her short hair frame her face instead of wildly going wherever it wanted. “Honestly… Honestly I think a lot of people will be happy to hear that once I can tell them, so you better be here next Friday!”
And with that cocky grin coming back on her face, Jacob’s own, dumb smile returned as well before the two finally parted, ready to continue whatever this was when they both had the time..
Tricksy Amelia
It was almost a month since Amelia and Jacob had first met as a cold October wind blew through the trees. Jacob was just getting to his normal spot when he saw tucked into his normal tree branch a piece of paper. He had been relieved to know that the elves knew how to write, let alone write in terms that could be understood by modern english. This wasn’t even the first time she had left him a note like this that guided him to hide somewhere. In the past it had been to watch deer, bears, etc. with her as they just enjoyed an amicable silence.
This one seemed a touch more… dangerous though. After all, on the piece of paper were directions and then a single picture, roughly drawn by the scout to show what looked like a waterfall. It also specified to hide until she gave a signal which sounded like she wouldn’t be joining him in whatever makeshift hide he made. None of this was a good sign. None of it.
Not that he could just ignore her request of course as he tucked the piece of paper into his pocket. Fridays were guaranteed to be Amelia’s and if he failed on that… well, he was a little afraid of what might happen to him. So, instead he began to follow the instructions as he slipped through the woods.
Fortunately, it wasn’t too cold as he began to hear the sounds of the waterfall in his ears. It would be far too cold to casually swim in the waterfall of course, but the more his brain considered the water, the more fear crawled into his heart. After all, Amelia wasn’t always the most… shy. She seemed to be far more used to giving those around her physical contact than he was which had led to many times where he had been able to say nothing as her breasts rubbed against his arm. It was made even worse when all she wore was a loose tunic rather than her armor as they sometimes slipped in such a way that…
He shook his head vigorously, his cheeks already burning with hot fire as dove into a set of bushes that would make for a good hiding spot. It was a little bit of a rushed choice, sure, but he needed somewhere safe to breathe. After all, Amelia could be using this to her advantage for one of their games of tag or hide and seek. No, he could move to a better position lat-
“Ooooh, I’m already getting chills thinking about getting in.”
“Keeper, you don’t need to warm it just for her sake. If it is meant to be cold naturally, that’s what we should bathe ourselves in, correct?”
“While accurate, I see no reason for us to suffer. Now, Amelia, please scout the area for us.”
The first two voices had been almost identical, possibly by a set of twins, as their high pitch reached his ears across the clearing while the last one had been filled with wisdom and a certain cadence that made him swear she must sing. Not that he focused on those aspects too much. No, he was a little too consumed by the fact that one of them had talked about bathing !
Now, he could have backed out now. After all, he wasn’t there to get laid or anything. No, he was there for his friend… who was also there
and probably knew what was going to happen soon. Did she bring him to watch? Amelia was open but that seemed a little far, especially with her peers.
Not that Amelia would call them peers, something he was somewhat told by one of the twins sighing and complaining about having to have the scout with them. “It has been over a decade since a human has come this far in the forest that we didn’t know about the day before. Why would it change today?”
“We bring her as part of tradition and as part of our security. After all, while the trees should tell us of any new parties a visual confirmation is always best.”
Jacob grinned at the reminder of how he and Amelia had met in the first place as he inched forward to try to see what was going on. After all, now he was certain about why Amelia did this. She was a… vengeful girl, to put it mildly. He still had bruises from times he had teased her too much and she decided the proper retribution had been a hardcore beating. Admittedly, it was part of her seeming to not know how to act around others but he still didn’t know why that was. Maybe this was the start of her becoming less secretive?
And then he blinked as he properly took in both the waterfall and elves under it. The waterfall itself was a thing of beauty as it stretched at least a hundred feet into the sky, a wide gash at the top of the cliffside allowing water to pour out of it. The exact ways it did this intrigued Jacob as he considered the possibility of underground runoff finding its out here, but then his eyes got to the bottom of the waterfall and the large pool that had formed there.
And the three very, very naked women there. The twins were standing and looked like practical clones of each other if not for the differences in hairstyle. One of them wore their golden locks it long and straight, while the other had managed to put fun, spunky curls in it that soon vanished as she slammed her face into the water. Jacob winced in sympathy while her sister merely rolled her eyes.
Not that he noticed the eye roll. No, he was still a nineteen year old man and, well, these girls were seemingly right out of a fantasy novel. Then again, so had Amelia, but in a wholly different way. These girls both had breasts that were close to the size of his head that were ripe and perky as water dripped off of their hard, erect nipples. The small shakes and jiggles of the mounds drew Jacob’s eyes and caused his cheeks to burn as he knew all too well he shouldn’t be there to see this.
It wasn’t helped by the fact that whenever one of them bent over to grab more water, opting for that more often than diving into the pool, likely due to its temperature, he got one of two sights. The first was of wide, thick, childbearing hips that he tried not to think about kissing a hundred times before making his way up to the soft, jiggling ass that was at the top of each of their long, long legs. In fact, they were both tall enough to rival him probably. The other sight was of those dipping breasts usually teasing to touch the pool beneath them as they were allowed to hang and swing freely as they bent over.
It almost made him forget about the third one. Almost. In fact, every time he got a momentary peak at one of the girls pussies, or drooled too long over water cascading down their mountains, mimicking the waterfall behind them, he would always look back at the woman who sat at the side of the pool. She had blonde hair that ran all the way down to her ass, or so he assumed with how it pooled around her, but she never turned enough to let him properly see the absolutely gargantuan chest that small teases and hints told him she had.
Not that he entirely wanted to. He kind of-
Do you feel sick child? If it is more than simply mental sickness, I can ease your pain.
He froze, blinking a few times as he looked up and saw the matriarch stretch out her arms, just before one of them turned towards him and gave him a wave.
“So, enjoying the show?”
Jacob’s head spun almost a hundred eighty degrees at Amelia’s voice. He barely caught her grin before she disappeared to his other side and continued to whisper, “I can’t stay long, but these girls deserve it, I promise. They’re always trying to embarrass me, so on my signal we’ll really let them have it!”
He tried to open his mouth to tell her he didn’t want that, but it was too late. She took off to continue her scouting job as he was left to try to figure out exactly what to do. Looking back he saw the twins beginning to help wash each other’s backs, one girl’s breasts grinding against the back of the other while the matriarch still did nothing except quietly wash herself at the side of the pool.
Amelia isn’t wrong that Cherry and Sky here would be quite flustered if they knew you were watching them. I ask you though, why don’t I feel a proper, carnal signal from you? This sort of sight would drive most men into a near frenzy within moments, let alone minutes.
He swallowed hard, especially as he watched the two girls squeeze their hands together. It was sweet and he wondered if it was part of a long tradition of theirs.
Fascinating. It is, actually, back when the roar of the waterfall would be too much for young Sky to handle. Back then they always had to hold hands. Now they do it as part of the bond they have made that makes them so intrinsically attuned to the forest. The trees must really wish for you to know them if they haven’t been warned like I have been.
Jacob swallowed hard, finally turning his eyes away. He was done watching, not as his stomach sank lower and lower. He was going to be sick, he was almost certain, but then he’d be discovered so he slowed his breath, evenly taking each one as he made sure to calm down. He would… would…
If you wish to come out, you may. I only know you’re here because I wanted to know what made Amelia act so different today. She usually hates escorting her older sisters to the baths because she is barely an adult herself while these two both are her elders by another twenty five years. It was nice to see her so happy though and, well, I would like a chance to finally talk to you. To bring you into all of this properly. What do you thi-
She got her answer though as the trees silenced the connection, even for her. It was… so different from anything she’d experienced from the forest while also terrifying. It… It cut their connection to protect him. She could tell. Even a passing glance, as she finally gave to the treeline, showed nothing. Not a trace of the human that had been watching him.
Amelia broke out of the far side of the clearing, grinning as she made a subtle motion to where the boy had been to call him out just as she said, “Area’s all clear. Well, except for one person whose been getting one hell of a view.”
Sky, the twin with long, straight hair to the small of her back froze where she was while Cherry dove into the water with a shrill shriek. The matriarch merely slowly turned to the young scout, her eyes wet with tears of both fear and concern, especially for the young maiden before her who looked so worried as she continued to look at where the boy had been.
Amelia took a step towards the bushes and shouted, “Jacob, you dense idiot, that was your cue! Come on out! Ophelna isn’t going to hurt you, I promise!”
Ophelna, the matriarch, raised an eyebrow at the claim before sighing. She had been growing soft as she grew into her fifth century of life and now stood as Amelia looked back to her. “Don’t worry, young one. If you have enough trust in him to have invited him today then… Then I trust that you can make him come back tomorrow?”
Amelia was quiet, holding one of her arms before she lowered herself to one knee and whispered, “I am sorry, dearest keeper of our lore. I didn't mean to endanger us all. I merely-”
“Child,” Ophelna said as a grassy hand rose from the hand to gently cup Amelia’s cheek, “you are not to blame for me not knowing of the boy. I suspect your master had something to do with this, correct?”
Amelia nodded, and Ophelna finally gained an edge to her voice as she hissed, “Then it is she who will have much, much explaining to do if I am to be satisfied with this betrayal. As for you, young one, you will have much to answer as well if I am to decide on what to do with him with your master. Now, come. We have much to do at home.”
Cherry
s head burst out of the water as she took a huge gasp of air before she blinked and looked at everyone. “Umm, wasn’t there a person here?”
To which Sky could only smack herself as they all began to finally move. One more thing left the clearing with them though. Unbeknownst to Jacob he had left something behind and a scrap of paper flew towards the sky, carried by the cold October wind.
Fate
Jacob swallowed hard as he did indeed come back the next day. He wasn’t sure about doing it mind you. There was a lot that could go wrong and he wasn’t sure if Amelia would still be okay with him but… he had to give it a shot. He still had one more day this week to give her and he would do just that.
Amelia was waiting there, in the same outfit they first met, in the same place. She glanced away as he walked into the clearing and cleared her throat as she looked up. “My elders wish to talk to you. They… Keeper of our Lore wasn’t happy about what my master, the Keeper of our Skills, did by having me talk to you. I thought… I thought that a simple trick like you surprising her would be okay but I don’t know now. All I know is that if you decide to come-”
“You don’t need to worry about that. If I wasn’t ready to face whatever was coming my way, I wouldn’t have come.” Jacob scratched his head as he looked away, biting his lip for a moment before adding, “But I’m happy they still let you come by yourself.”
Amelia smiled at that before hitting him in the arm. “They knew I could take you by myself, so who else needed to come and get you, right? Now come on, they’re waiting at the waterfall.”
Jacob paled at that before swallowing hard and mumbling, “They’re, uh, not going to be, well, um, you know…”
Amelia blinked a few times before frowning and whispering, “Are you hoping for them to be….”
“No!” Jacob waved his hands in front of him before he continued to shout, “That’s part of why I ran away yesterday! I can barely handle you in a tunic and shorts, let alone a bunch of girls in even less!”
