Broken Bonds Page 6

“My God, I haven’t been this horny since I was sixteen,” Jackson gasped against Jonas’ willing mouth.

“Need skin now.” Jonas ran his hands up Jackson’s shirt, bunching the fabric up. He noticed a bag in Jackson’s hands. “What’s this?”

Jackson pulled the plain brown bag in front of him and opened it for Jonas to look inside. “I hope you don’t think it’s weird. Tristan said I should buy one and I —”

Jonas chuckled and took the bag from Jackson, throwing it on the nearby couch.

  “Funny, I bought one too.”

  “You did?”

“Yes, but I have to say,” Jonas tilted his head. “It’s not as big as the one you bought.”

Jackson pulled Jonas back to his chest and wrapped his arms around him. “Well, we’ll start with the smaller one first.”

“Good, because I can’t wait to feel your hands on me.” Jonas bit Jackson’s bottom lip softly. “And your fingers in me.”

Jackson groaned and his erection threatened to bust the zipper on his jeans. “I want to touch you, taste you.”

Jonas gripped the hair at the base of Jackson’s neck. “Then do it.”

His jeans were ripped from him and Jonas let out a purr of approval. The two of them tore at each other’s clothing, scattering them all over the living room. Jonas pulled Jackson down on top of him on the floor and writhed against him, rubbing their sensitive dicks.

“Oh, fuck yes,” Jackson growled taking Jonas’ mouth in a punishing kiss.

Somehow, Jonas had managed to grab the lube from his own bag and flipped open the cap. He gripped Jackson’s right hand and covered three of the fingers in lube. He didn’t need to say anything else. Jackson locked eyes with him as he circled the flesh of Jonas’ hole with his index finger. Jonas realized he was holding his breath and exhaled slowly as Jackson dipped his finger in and out of his hole.

  “More,” Jonas panted.

His sphincter clamped down on the invading finger immediately. Jackson leaned in, pressing their foreheads together.

“Breathe, let me in. I’ll go slowly.”

Jonas regulated his breathing and kept eye contact with Jackson. The gray eyes were watching him so carefully for any sign of pain. Jackson’s finger slid past the ring of fire and popped inside him. Jonas’ back arched as a burning sensation traveled up his spine and Jackson pressed in further.

“More, need more.” Jonas licked his lips.

The sensation was unexplainable: burning, but pleasurable at the same time. It was like Jackson was scratching an itch he never knew he had. His dick filled as another digit joined the first one. Jackson caressed his balls with his free fingers, rolling them and slightly squeezing, not painfully, but just right. Jonas’ eyes rolled back as Jackson used his other hand to begin stroking him in time with his fingers. The steady press of the fingers reaching up, crooking and scissoring him had Jonas almost trembling with the need to release.

“I want to mark you, Jonas.” Jackson searched the other alpha’s eyes. “I want you to be mine.”

The thought of Jackson biting him sent him over the edge. That, and Jackson had touched something so deep inside him his balls blew. Stream after stream of ejaculate raced from his slit, coating Jackson’s hand and Jonas’ upper torso.

  “Do it!” Jonas barked.

Jackson lodged his canines into Jonas’ shoulder and his orgasm rocked him to the core. He came all over Jonas’ thighs and the carpet beneath him. Collapsing on Jonas, Jackson removed his canines and tried to get his breath back. He slowly removed his fingers from Jonas and eased back to look at him. His eyes were closed, mouth partially open, and his breathing was heavy.

Jackson kissed him softly and smiled when lashes fluttered and amber eyes looked into his.

  “Wow,” Jonas breathed.

“I know, and I didn’t even use the toy.” Jackson licked a path across Jonas’ bottom lip. “How about we shower, and then maybe you can play with me?”

  Jonas raised his brows. “Yeah?”

  “Oh, hell yeah.”

Jackson’s phone chimed and he scowled. Jonas gave him an easy smile, and playfully pushed him off.

“Go get it.” Jonas stood up and looked around the living room. Ripped clothing was everywhere and they both tried to find the offending noisemaker that had just ruined their time alone. Jackson finally found his phone and hit ‘talk.’

  “Murphy.”

“You even answer the phone sexy,” Jonas whispered.

Jackson waggled his eyebrows and gave a playful slap to Jonas’ ass.

Jonas tried to not to eavesdrop, but he could hear James talking about Lucas Cain and recent movement. Jackson sighed and Jonas’ shoulders slumped. Jackson was going back to headquarters.

“Be there in thirty.” Jackson hung up and looked over at Jonas. “I’m so sorry.”

“No, it’s okay. We have plenty of time to be together now.” Jonas wrapped his arms around Jackson’s waist.

“I’ll come back as soon as I can.” Jackson kissed Jonas’ forehead. “We are not done here yet.”

  “No, we really aren’t.”

After Jackson left, Jonas threw himself into bed and worried his bottom lip. How was he going to hide what he was from Jackson? Would Jackson even understand? Hayden had taken the news that Jude had two shifting forms extremely well. What if Jackson didn’t? Jonas sighed and closed his eyes. He couldn’t hide it forever.

  “Shit.”

Jonas rolled over to a rising sun and a hardened cock. He hissed as his appendage bent on the mattress. He chuckled at the thought. He was a grown man and waking up with a woody from thinking about a certain Navy SEAL. God, but that was sexy.

Just thinking about Jackson in uniform made his dick even harder. He looked at the time and his eyes widened. Since when had he ever slept in until ten in the morning? His cell phone blinked from the nightstand. He had two missed calls. Jackson had called last night to let him know he was going to be staying late, but they could meet up in the morning for breakfast.

Jonas sighed and flopped to his back. It was going to be brunch by the time he got up, showered and changed. He checked the message, frowning when a very irate voice came over the line. Someone really wanted to see a house on a Saturday.

Jonas groaned and rolled out of bed. He returned the call, assuring the woman he could meet her and her husband at the property. He showered, shaved and dressed in record time, then called Jackson. The other alpha answered in a sleep-filled, gravelly voice.

“Morning,” Jackson yawned into the phone.

“Morning. Did you get any sleep?”

“Few hours, but I really want to see you.”

Jonas grinned. “I want to see you, too. Can you meet me at this address?” Jonas rattled it off. “Then maybe we could go eat?”

“Sounds good. I’ll see you there.”

Jonas drove to Beach Drive Southwest in record time. The elderly couple was pacing back and forth in front of the house, looking almost annoyed. Jonas took a deep breath and smiled wide.

  “Here we go,” he muttered.

Jonas took his time, as hard as that was; he really wanted to be done with the walk-through and get back to Jackson. They took the steps down to the beach and Jonas marveled at how beautiful it was. The elderly couple was asking if there was a lot of noise around the neighborhood.

“Well, it is a beach front property, so you’ll get the noise of the boats of course.” Jonas took a deep breath of air and smiled. The house was actually quite pleasant to look at. It had gray siding, with white shutters and flower boxes out front. The two-story home rested above the beach with the master bedroom on the lower floor. French doors led from the master room right out onto the beach.

  “Hey you! There you are.”

Jonas turned to see Jackson making his way down to the beach. He smiled and waved. The air around him became uneasy and he turned to look at the couple. They were watching Jackson with narrow
ed eyes.

“Who is that?” the woman demanded.

“Oh, that’s a very good friend of mine.”

  ~*~

Jackson almost stopped in the sand. Friend? His fingers were up Jonas’ ass and they had kissed; Jackson wondered what Jonas did with the rest of his ‘friends.’ Keeping his smile in place, Jackson crossed the white sand and stood next to Jonas.

“The house is beautiful. I wish it had been on the market when I moved up here.”

The woman coughed and the man at her side thrust his hand out to Jonas. “Yes, well, we’ll be in touch.”

Jonas’ brows furrowed as the couple made a hasty retreat into the house. He raised his eyebrows at Jackson and shook his head.

  “Brunch?” he asked.

The restaurant wasn’t too far away and they slid into a booth. Jonas looked over the menu, but he could feel uneasiness in Jackson. He seemed to be very interested in the menu. They’d barely spoken two words to each other. Jonas put his menu down and coughed slightly.

  “Is everything okay?”

“Why wouldn’t it be?” Jackson kept his eyes on the menu.

Jonas reached across the table, pulled down the menu and studied Jackson’s face. “What is it?”

Jackson opened his mouth, only to be interrupted by his cell phone. He groaned and hit ‘talk.’

  “Murphy.”

  “Where are you?” James asked.

“What?! You mean you don’t know?” Jackson chuckled. James’ loud sigh came over the line and Jackson laughed.

“I’m out to brunch with Jonas. What’s going on?”

“I need you on a plane to Siberia. John was attacked.”

Jonas’ head snapped to attention. “What!?”

“Tell Jonas I’d like him to go, too.”

“Why? Jonas isn’t a soldier.” Jackson got a grunt and a kick to his shin from Jonas. “Ow!”

James chuckled. “Just be at the airstrip. Caden’s jet is waiting. Oh, and Jackson?”

  “Yes?”

“Kill anything that has yellow eyes.”

“On it.” Jackson hung up and looked at Jonas. The man was scowling at him.

  “Oh, what? It’s true!”

“We’ll talk about this later.” Jonas stood up and motioned to the waiter, who scurried right over. “We need this to go.”

  ~*~

The jet came to a smooth stop and Jonas looked out the window. They had landed in Vladivostok, Russia. They would take a boat across Amur Bay before stopping in Primorsky Krai for more instructions. Jonas grabbed his pack and followed Jackson off the plane. The weather was downright cold and he bundled his jacket around him.

The boat ride was quick and Jonas admired the majestic scenery before him. Snow covered most of the land, but the tall trees stood proud all around. Jonas followed Jackson to the waiting car, and the scenery flew by. The driver spoke in Russian and Jonas was shocked when Jackson answered him. Jackson spoke Russian? It seemed he had a lot to discover about the man at his side.

The car stopped forty-five minutes later and the driver turned to them. “This is as far as I go.”

Jackson nodded and exited the vehicle as Jonas got out on the other side. They stood at the end of the road as the car turned around and headed back the way they had come.

“Well, time to find some cover until morning.” Jackson started trudging into the forest.

They had been walking for almost an hour before Jonas finally couldn’t take it anymore. Jackson was close-mouthed; he was obviously upset and Jonas had no idea why. He thought about asking, but reconsidered. If Jackson wanted him to know what was bugging him, he’d tell him.

“I didn’t know you spoke Russian.” Jonas glanced over at Jackson as they walked.

“I speak a few languages, actually.”

“Do you speak French?” Jonas nudged Jackson in the ribs.

“Bien sur!” Jackson waggled his eyebrows.

“God, that is so hot. Say something else,” Jonas demanded.

  “Maybe later,” Jackson replied huskily.

Jonas’ hair stood on end as Jackson’s velvet voice slid down to his toes. Lord, the man affected him like no other.

They walked for quite a few more miles before Jackson looked up at the sky, checked his watch and then held up his phone. Furrowing his brows, he pocketed the phone and closed his eyes. Jonas studied his face as he concentrated. Any woman would die to have Jackson’s blond lashes. His mouth was sensual — a full bottom lip, topped with a slightly smaller top one. A five o’clock shadow darkened his jaw, and Jonas licked his lips thinking about Jackson’s nice-sized dick. Jackson chuckled and Jonas realized his thoughts were ‘on.’

  “Crap.”

Jackson turned with a grin to look at the man beside him. “You’re not so bad yourself, hot stuff. Those eyes…” Jackson visibly shivered. “They are so damn beautiful. I’ve never seen eyes that color. They’re like rose gold.”

“I’ve never heard them described that way.” Jonas tilted his head in thought.

Jackson pulled Jonas to him and wrapped his arms around him. They were roughly the same height, which worked out well. Although he’d never had children of his own, he loved his pack as if they were his own children and he loved Jude already.

“You do?” Jonas searched Jackson’s face.

Jackson leaned in and kissed Jonas’ lips. “Of course I do. He’s part of you.”

Jonas stiffened as the sound of cracking wood drifted to them. Jackson pulled away and closed his eyes, listening for the direction it was coming from. It seemed to be surrounding them.

“An ambush?” Jonas sniffed the air. His heart stopped and he broke out in a fine sheen of sweat. They were being stalked, and the smell was unpleasantly familiar. He turned to Jackson quickly. “I have to tell you something.”

  “Now?” Jackson’s eyes were incredulous.

Movement caught his eye and then the trees moved. A mass of fur came out of the forest and Jonas stepped back.

“Shit!” Jonas whipped around to Jackson. “I’m so sorry!”

Jackson opened his mouth to respond but stopped cold as Jonas’ clothing was ripped from his body. He expected a wolf; what he got was something much, much different. Slate-gray stripes appeared over Jonas’ body, and a bluish coat sprang from his skin.

“Jonas?” Jackson stepped back further as Jonas’ body shifted. Tigers surrounded them and one pounced suddenly, landing on his chest and pinning him to the forest floor.

An impressive snarl sent the tiger scrambling and when Jackson sat up, Jonas was staring at him. And he wasn’t a wolf.

“Well, that’s…different.” Jackson eyed Jonas in tiger form. He was massive. And gorgeous. Mesmerizing gray stripes covered his blue coat. A low growl alerted him that they were not alone.

“I wanted to tell you.” Jonas dropped his head.

  “Why didn’t you?”

Jonas lifted his head. “I thought you’d be weirded out. I have two forms.”

“I see that. This would bother me… why?” Jackson stood up, smiling. Siberian tigers surrounded them, looking to Jonas for orders. Jackson chuckled. He knelt down, but he didn’t need to go far to reach his friend. Jonas was very, very large.

“You are so damned beautiful, Jonas.”

Jonas blinked and tilted his head. “Really?”

“God, yes! Look at you!” Jackson tunneled his fingers into Jonas’ thick, plush coat. “A Maltese tiger,” Jackson murmured, shaking his head in amazement. “So beautiful, and so rare.” He raised his eyes to all the waiting tigers. “Are you going to tell them to go away now?” he laughed.

“Oh! Yeah, I guess so. We might need them, though, just to keep their eyes and ears open.”

“No wonder James wanted us to start from here. Who the hell would come this far east from the enclosure? They’ll never see us coming.”

Jackson backed up and let Jonas talk with the tigers. He busied himself making their shelter for the night, c
ollecting wood and setting up the tent. He cleared a spot for a fire, and then laid the wood in it.

Jonas was pacing back and forth in front of the other tigers, giving them instructions. They listened intently and, again, Jackson couldn’t believe how gorgeous Jonas was in tiger form. Jonas glanced back at him just then and Jackson grinned.

A little while later, Jonas emerged from the tent in sweats, a down jacket and snow boots. He crouched by the fire and stoked it with another piece of wood. The tigers pulled reconnaissance around the area. He’d only shifted to this form once, and had gotten the same reaction from other tigers then. Apparently, they considered him their ruler. God, he wished he knew who to talk to about his two forms; maybe then he could do a better job explaining it to Jude.

“So, a tiger.” Jackson smiled and handed Jonas a water bottle.

Jonas nodded, sipping the cool liquid. “Jude is a white tiger.”

  “No shit?” Jackson’s eyes widened.

“Nope. I wish I could explain it to you, but even I don’t understand how it happened.”

“I don’t care, Jonas. You could be an alligator and I’d still want you.”

Jonas chuckled. “Think of the sex.”

  “Ouch.”

Jonas eyed Jackson’s features. “You sure this doesn’t freak you out?”

Jackson patted his knee and Jonas narrowed his eyes. “Come sit.”

“I am not going to sit on your lap.”

Jackson stood and put out his arms. He laughed when Jonas mumbled under his breath, but he did move into his arms. He folded his arms around Jonas and inhaled his scent. “I don’t care how many forms you have, as long as one of them wants me.”

“All of them want you,” Jonas laughed.

  “That’s a start.”

  ~*~

They laughed and talked while they ate. Jonas had never been so relaxed with anyone. He truly had feelings for Jackson besides lust. How strong were they? He wasn’t sure. He’d been in love once before, with Jude’s mother. He’d known then what love was. His feelings for Jackson were quickly becoming more.

  “Are you okay?”

Jackson’s voice and soft touch jolted Jonas out of his thoughts.
