  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

MARRIED IN VEGAS: A BAD BOY ROMANCE

  BLURB:

We were celebrating for a few days in preparation for my brother’s wedding at a gorgeous hotel in Vegas. He was my best friend and I would never consider not standing beside him when he married his sweet girlfriend of three years.

Running into Liz and Karen in the club was a bit of a surprise though it gave me a chance to get to know them.

I always had my eyes on her for the last few years,

but she always seemed so shy.

This time she was looking at me with hunger in her eyes.

  Tonight, she wasn’t shy.

She was buzzed and laughing, hot as hell.

I can’t say no to her.

One kiss turned into several and before the night ended, we were saying vows in front of Elvis.

It would be as easy thing to end but I didn’t know if I wanted that.

She fascinated me and I needed to know more of Liz.

Could things go any more out of order?

Would we find a way to make it work?

Would she see this as a mistake that she just wanted to brush away?

  Chapter 1

  Liz

I groaned as my head started pounding before I even opened my eyes. What the hell did I do last night?

I turned to my side, feeling sheets against my skin. So, I got drunk and apparently slept with someone. Considering I was in Vegas, that didn’t surprise me. I came here two days ago with my best friend to soothe her wounds from a breakup. We lived in Los Angeles, so it wasn’t a hard trip to make and we did it often.

“Karen?” I asked softly, hearing how scratchy my voice was. I struggled to open my eyes, turning my head to see where I was. My dark hair was a curtain in my face, and I tried to blow it out of the way. Someone touched it, tucking it behind my ear as I smiled weakly.

“Thanks, Karen. How much did I drink last night?” I gazed up, expecting to see my pretty blonde friend, stunned to see Calder James.

“You drank a lot, Liz. How do you feel?” He asked as ice flowed through my veins. I gripped the sheet and pulled it over my body even though it was likely too late for modesty now.

“Why are you here? Where am I?” I asked in shock as I shrunk against the pillows.

“My room. You came back here with me last night after we had dinner and went to the club. You don’t remember?” He asked, arching a dark brow. His blue eyes were stormy, and I tried to remember. I had a blur of Karen dancing around me, but the rest was gone.

“I guess not. Why are you in Vegas?” I asked as I closed my eyes, flooded with shame. I had been harboring a crush on Calder for the past three years since he was in one of my classes at UCLA.

“My brother is getting married this weekend. We’re all here to hang out.” He stared at me with an intense gaze, making me blush. “I was surprised to see you here with Karen.”

“Where is she?” I asked, feeling dread fill me.

“She is with the other guy, Kyle. We split up at the end of the night and now you’re here.” He looked around and rested his head against the wall. His body was lean but muscular and I couldn’t help but to look at him. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, wondering what I was thinking. I felt something on my hand and opened one eye to see a thin band on my left ring finger. I stared at it in shock, praying it didn’t mean what I think.

“How did this get here?” I asked slowly as nausea made me wince.

He held up his hand that sported a matching ring. “We were dancing and drinking, talking about my brother’s wedding. They were with us and it seems we ended up getting married by Elvis last night.” He shrugged and I shot under the covers. “Linc has a video of it from what my texts say.”

“Holy shit.” I got married? What would ever possess me to do such a thing? I had a crush on him but that hardly called for marriage. “Do you remember?”

“I wasn’t as drunk as you were so yes, I remember. Everyone was there and it was fun. I was surprised that you went for it but being around the happy couple got you going.” He explained as I wondered who he was talking about. I wasn’t into the idea of marriage and only had a few casual relationships under my belt.

“I wanted this?” I pressed my hands to my face, wanting to drop into the ground. I could just end this after such an impulsive mistake, right?

“Yeah. After a few hours of kissing, we both did.” His voice was low and shamefully, I felt my pussy ache. I felt his hand move under the sheet to touch my stomach, embarrassed when I arched against him.

“What now?” I whispered, feeling his fingertips circle over my skin.

“We keep enjoying our weekend. You’re my date for two days for Linc’s wedding at Tuscany.” He replied and I pulled the sheet down to look at him.

“You don’t really want to continue this, do you?” I asked as he smirked at me. Why the hell was he so gorgeous?

“I’m having fun.” He assured me, slipping out of bed and walking to the small fridge to get a bottle of water. He was naked and I gazed at his perfect ass, hoping that I held on tight to it last night. I wasn’t sure if I was going to do that again. He grabbed something else from a table and dropped to the mattress, offering me aspirin. He uncapped the water for me, and I stared at him as I sipped it, trying not to look at his cock.

“We got…married. That’s serious.” I reminded him as he observed me for a moment before taking the water from me.

“Sure. It is. Haven’t you always had something for me?” I blushed.

“I felt the same way. We saw each other last night and it was magic. I was into you immediately and you felt the same. You’re so bubbly when you’re drinking.” He told me as I frowned.

“I think you’re describing Karen.” I murmured as he shrugged.

“She was on a mission last night. I don’t even think she was drinking that much but she was looking to rebound. She managed that and they want to meet us for breakfast.” My stomach turned at the idea of food and I held a hand over my mouth.

“I told them that you probably wouldn’t be up to it. Since we’re here all weekend, we might do dinner later. I can order you some fruit if you want to eat. It’s been a while since you did.”

That sounded good and I licked my lips. He smiled and kissed my hair before going to call the order in. I watched him, awestruck by his tight ass all over again. It made me wonder what the sex was like and I lifted the sheets to see if there was a condom somewhere. The idea of unprotected sex with Calder scared me. He had his share of girls at school.

He came back wearing some low-slung lounge pants with a shirt in his hand. He offered it to me, and I smiled my thanks, slipping it over my small frame slowly. I moved gently out from under the sheets, still covering my legs. “I…did we have sex last night?” I asked as he stared at me with a stormy gaze.

“Many times.” He replied and I nibbled my lip. Would I ever remember it?

“Okay. Was it good?” He raised a brow at me. “Did we use anything or-?”

“We used condoms. Don’t worry we are safe.” He assured me.

  “Thank God!”

“One more thing, it felt incredible.” He said making me shiver with the look that he gave me.

“Oh, God.” I moaned, drawing my knees to my chest slowly.

“You’re an intriguing woman, Liz. I always knew that you were different, but I can’t get enough of you now.” I felt him stroke my hair gently.

  Chapter 2

  Calder

I took Liz in as I revealed more about our night together. Her creamy pale skin was flushed with what I hoped was desire. I felt like it was embarrassment and watched her as we waited for the food.

I was surprised when we started talking about the chapel down the street from the club. Liz and Karen both wanted details about Linc’s upcoming wedding, and his fiancée Amy was willing to talk all about it. The girls drank and talked, bubbling over with excitement as we all looked on.

Liz was beautiful and I watched her as she smiled and looked at me longingly. I took her to the dance floor as soon as possible and we moved together to the dance music that played over the speakers. The lights flashed and her hands were on me as I tried to see her, holding her hips as I rocked slowly into her.

I suspected that Liz had a thing for me when we met in college. She smiled a lot and got shy, so we never got to know one another. I always thought she was one of the hottest girls at UCLA but assumed she was too timid for me. Sadly, I had a bit of a reputation and Liz kept more to herself, spending most of her time with Karen.

Last night, she was buzzed and dancing with me, grinding her sweet ass against me. I watched as she turned with a big smile, pressing her lips to mine as she slipped her arms around my neck.

“I’ve always wanted to kiss you.” She told me before claiming my mouth again. Her kisses were hungry, and I gripped her ass to pull her closer. Our tongues danced together, and I walked her across the dance floor to a stool. I slid her onto it and slid my hands under her loose black skirt. She tilted her head and sucked my tongue deeper into her mouth as she gripped my loose, dark hair.

I forgot about the music and our surroundings as she kept kissing me. I could taste the champagne on her lips and smell the lemon scent that she wore, breathing her in as we made out like teenagers. I wondered if we’d end up in her room or my room at the end of the night, if I didn’t end up fucking her right here in this club. I gripped her underwear at her hips, feeling her rock forward. I knew that she wanted this and held her in place as I moved my lips down her neck.

“How much have you had to drink?” I asked her before sucking her earlobe into my mouth.

“Enough to have a buzz. I’m not drunk, Cal. I’m just tired of fighting what I feel for you.” She murmured and I pressed harder into her.

“I am not doing this with you in a club. I need you in a bed so I can worship this body,” I assured her as she shivered. “I do want to touch you.”

“Please.” She begged as I glanced around. The lights were flashing their various colors, making it bright at moments and I considered my decision. I had messed around with a lot of women in bars throughout college, but this felt different to me. I searched the edges of the room for something more private, thinking a couch in a dark area might be what I needed.

I was surprised when our group of friends found us, surrounding us with laughter and more drinks. I pulled my hands slowly from underneath Liz’s skirt and wrapped them around her waist as everyone looked at each other with knowing glances.

Did they see what we were doing before this? I looked at Karen and she gave me a slight nod and a wide smile as she handed me a fresh beer.

We hung out some more and danced, drinking during intervals. I watched Liz closely to make sure she wasn’t drinking so much that she was going to get sick. She seemed to feel the same way, merely sipping from her glass as she talked to everyone around us. I still had my arm wrapped around her and she smiled at me a lot, as if she didn’t believe that this was happening. She kissed me several times, her sweet mouth tempting me.

When we left to go to another club, we passed a wedding chapel. They were all over the place here in Las Vegas and I was surprised that my brother had chosen a semi-formal ceremony over something like this. I had my hand wrapped securely around Liz’s and agreed when Amy suggested going in to take a quick look. I shrugged, assuming that we wouldn’t see much but the front lobby. We headed inside and Amy and Karen made a beeline to the woman standing at a desk as I chuckled.

I wondered what it would be like to get married somewhere like this, on a whim. I glanced over at Liz as she beamed at me, thinking she would never do anything like that. Not even with me.

I heard laughter from the front of the room and we both turned to look at the other girls. “They have a space. Who wants to do it?” Karen giggled as I glanced at Kyle. I rose a brow at him, and he shook his head, laughing. He seemed to be into Karen, but it might not last past the night, knowing him.

“Come on. It’ll be a great story.” Linc told us as he looked us over. His eyes lingered on me, then Liz. He looked down at our joined hands and tilted his head at me. “I dare you, Cal.”

“You dare me to get married? Right now?” I confirmed as he nodded. I looked at Liz, who had a surprised look on her face.

“Sure. Why not?” I wanted to argue and remind him how nobody suited him as much as Amy did. It took a while to find her and he wouldn’t marry anyone before this weekend. Why would I?

“Because it’s marriage.” I shot back, wondering what the hell was going on here. We were all a little wasted and having fun, but this was something else entirely.

“I think I need another drink for this,” I murmured, feeling Liz squeeze my hand.

“It could be fun.” She told me as I gazed into her eyes.

“I thought you were drunk.” I told her and she smiled.

“I’m not.” She confirmed and I pulled her against me.

“You know what you’re suggesting, right?” I asked and she kissed me. I wrapped my arms around her as our drunk friends cheered, rooting us on. I wondered if everyone in this city was this crazy as I lost myself in the kiss, pulling her closer.

The paperwork was handled as the redhead with too much makeup grinned at us. I wondered if they shouldn’t do tests here to make sure people weren’t drunk to avoid a process down the line, but she probably knew to look for that. We weren’t drunk, anyway. Liz was smiling as Karen whispered something into her ear, signing something as she giggled.

After that, we selected rings from their limited choices. Liz picked a thin band of white gold and I took the matching one, paying for t
hem as I covered all the costs of the ceremony. We let our friends walk into the small chapel before us and I stared down at Liz. She was about five inches shorter than I was which was kind of perfect.

“Are you sure about this?” I could see that she was buzzing in her eyes, thinking that she never looked so beautiful.

“I am. Let’s go.” I wondered if she wanted this for real of just for the night. I always heard that ending a marriage quickly wasn’t as difficult as a long-term partnership with property and kids. Wasn’t the term annulment? My buddy had to do that after thinking he fell in love with a stripper once.

“You’re insane.” I told her before kissing her. I laughed as we walked inside, knowing this was just for the gag. There was an Elvis impersonator standing there, dressed as the seventy’s version in way too much sequins. He led us into a brief ceremony and then we said some generic vows before she slid the ring on my finger, followed by me. The kiss was filled with promise and she clung to me as I slipped a hand into her hair.

Everyone cheered and insisted on drinks to celebrate. We went to another bar as our friends announced our new status. Liz enjoyed a few more cocktails and I let her enjoy herself, which led to drunkenness. I had only a few beers, knowing that I needed to stay levelheaded here. I needed to be in control.

When we all left to get some sleep, Karen told me that she was leaving with Kyle. I could use our room if I wanted to. I decided to take Liz to my room since it was closer, and she probably needed the rest.

We walked inside and she stretched, raising her skirt to her upper thighs. I stared, knowing that she was mine but also not and I had no right to think the thoughts that were going through my mind. I looked at her left hand, seeing the ring as I licked my lips.

She turned to me and smiled, throwing herself in my arms. “We’re married!”
