He chuckles, “Ready for round two? I promise it gets better.”
“Hell, yeah,” I say, sitting back up.
Lifting up just a bit, Adam positions himself at my entrance. He’s so big that it takes a minute to get the head inside of me. It stretches and almost burns, but it feels so damn good.
We both toss our heads back and groan as I keep sliding down onto him. Once I’m fully seated on him, I feel impossibly full. I’m stretched around him, and it’s all I can do, not to cry from the pleasure. Lifting up, he slides out about half way before I drop back down.
“Up a bit, baby, let me help.”
Lifting up, he thrusts upward, slamming into me harder.
“Oh god!” I cry out. “Yes, just like that!”
He keeps up the fast pace, slamming into me over and over again.
“Rub your clit baby, make yourself cum on my cock,” he tells me.
I’m so close already, tensing around him, trying to keep him inside of me. Rubbing my clit sends me into the best orgasm I have had so far. My body bows backward while I scream out my pleasure. Adam increases his thrusts, making my orgasm last longer before he grunts and cums deep inside of me.
We both collapse sideways onto the couch, breathing hard, sweaty, and smiling.
“You’re right, it did get better,” I tell him.
He laughs as he throws an arm around my waist.
“Glad you liked it. Anytime you want an encore, let me know. I’d happily give a repeat performance.” He says with a chuckle.
Suddenly the smoke alarm in the kitchen is screaming.
Crap! The pot is still on the burner!
We both jump up and run for the kitchen butt naked. I grab the pot and toss it in the sink, turning the water on full blast. I glance over my shoulder at Adam to see if he’s angry, I’m immediately relieved when I see him doubled over laughing. Seeing him laughing makes me laugh.
What a way to finish up sex for the first time.
After a few minutes, we get our laughing under control.
“I have to get back to Sophie, she’s never slept alone,” I tell him.
“Of course, let’s get our clothes,” he says as he takes my hand.
We gather up our clothes and head up the stairs before going to our separate rooms, he kisses me slowly.
“I would really like for you to stay with me, but I understand. Next time, can you stay, please?” He says.
“Next time?” I ask hesitantly, not quite meeting his eyes.
“If you want there to be, I definitely want there to be.”
Smiling, I kiss him again before pulling out of his arms, “Okay then.”

Adam
Over the next few days, the three of us fall into a routine. Breakfast in the kitchen before work and a good night hug for Sophie when I got home, followed by reheating dinner before bed. Isabel and I have some time alone, but nothing spectacular like that night on the sofa. I am not going to lie, I cannot wait for a repeat performance, but Isabel is setting the pace. I will settle for what she will give me. Right now, it is cuddling on the couch and the occasional “sleepover” in my room. Although she tries to make it back to her room before Sophie wakes up, however, I am sure Sophie knows what is going on.
Sophie has taken right to me. I honestly don’t think I could live another day without her in my life. She is full of questions and wants to know the why of everything, but I don’t mind. I have been watching Isabel’s self-confidence slowly build. She smiles more which warms my heart, I have even heard her and Sophie laughing at times. I don’t think that she has had anything to laugh or smile about in a long time. What we have here is special, we have a family, or what soon will be one if I have anything to say about it. I just have to remember to take things slowly and at Isabel’s pace.
I’m lucky enough to make it home in time tonight to eat dinner with my girls and help give Sophie a bath. Opening the door, I freeze, suddenly overcome with desire at seeing Isabel swinging her hips around the living room while Sophie jumps up and down to some song playing on the radio. Laughing, singing, and swinging to the rhythm of the beat, Isabel spins around finally catching me staring from inside the doorway. An embarrassed flush creeps over her face along with a small smile. Sophie turns to see me as well and launches into my arms planting a smacking kiss on my cheek.
“Don’t let me stop you. Can I have this dance?” I bend over, placing Sophie down on her little feet.
“Of course! Play a new song momma!” she shouts.
Isabel begins another song and the three of us dance around the living room until we can no longer stand up. I don’t think I‘ve had this much fun, well, ever!
We hear a timer go off in the kitchen.
“PIZZA!” Sophie screams as she jumps up and down clapping her hands.
I can’t help but chuckle, “I guess someone is hungry. How about we have a picnic right here. Will that be alright with you, sweet pea?” I say to Sophie.
“Can we Mommy? Can we Mommy?” She pleads with her mom.
Oh, I know that look. She has brought out the puppy dog eyes, and no one can resist those eyes. Of course, Isabel gives in and goes to the kitchen to grab some plates. Noticing that I am still in my uniform. I bend down to eye level with Sophie,
“Sweet pea, I need to go change out of my uniform. I will be right back, and we can have some dinner and them maybe Mommy will let me give you a bath. Sound like a plan?”
“Sure! Um, Mr. Adam? Can I come with you? I have something to ask you,” she says, looking serious.
I am genuinely concerned. Sophie is usually such a fun loving and easy going little girl, but she just looks so serious at the moment.
“Of course, sweetie, but you have to ask Mommy first, and you have to stay outside my room until I get changed. Deal?”
“Deal.” Her face immediately lights up with a smile.

After I finish changing out of my uniform, I open my door to find Sophie patiently waiting to be let in. I can’t say I’m not intrigued by what the little one wants to chat with me about.
“So, what can I do for you little Ms. Sophie?”
She giggles as she climbs up into my lap.
“Mr. Adam, do you love me?” she whispers.
“Of course, I love you. Why would you ask that? I love you more than anything in the whole wide world.” I rub my cheek against her soft curls.
She leans back and smiles “Good. Then I have an important question to ask. Since you love me, will you be my daddy?”
To say I’m shocked would be an understatement. This amazing little girl has decided to give me the honor of being the most important man in her life, especially after the crap example she has had as a father already.
Her smile begins to fall the longer it takes for me to answer. I gently place her feet on the floor and kneel down in front of her.
“Sophie, I would love nothing more than to be your daddy. However, you already have a daddy. Although he is not very nice to you and your mommy, he is still your daddy. Now, what I can tell you is that I love you and your mommy very much, and someday soon I would love for you and your mommy to love me too.”
I can feel the breath catch in my throat as I prepare to ask the next question.
“Do you love me too, Sophie?”
She cocks her head to the side and looks at me like I am crazy, “Of course, I love you, Mr. Adam. You can only ask people to be your daddy if you love them silly.”
I cannot help but let out a full belly laugh at her statement. I reach down and hug her to my chest tightly. Sophie snuggles into my chest. I do not care whether I am her real dad or not, I promise to love and protect this little girl for the rest of my life.
“Okay, Sophie. Let’s make a deal. I love you, and you love me. So, although I am not really your daddy. I promise to protect you and love you forever and ever. Deal?”
Sophie’s face lights up with the most beautiful s
mile I have ever seen.
“Deal! But Mr. Adam… can I call you Daddy?” She asks shyly.
“Sweet pea, you can call me whatever you want. Whenever you call I will come running. I will always be there for you when you need me, understand?”
“Yes,” she answers with a smile.
This conversation has gotten my gears going, and I may have just come up with the perfect plan on how to get Isabel to see me as a decent guy, my secret weapon, Sophie.
“Now, Sophie, I need your help. Think of it as a secret mission.” I get really close to her. Kids love to keep secrets
“Oh, I am good at keeping secrets. Even Mommy says so,” she says excitedly
“Great, but you need to keep this a secret from Mommy. Do you think you can do that?”
She nods her head furiously while bouncing from foot to foot, unable to control her excitement.
“Alright, Sophie, I love your Mommy very much, but I don’t think she believes me when I tell her. I need your help to convince Mommy that I love her and to believe me when I tell her. Can you do that?”
“But how do I do that?” Sophie asks.
“You can tell me you love me in front of her or tell me how much you trust me when Mommy is around. Whatever you think would help Mommy know how much I love both of you. What do you think?”
Man, I must be desperate to enlist the help of a child to win her mother's heart!
Sophie sits and thinks for a while before she gets a huge smile on her face,
“If you love Mommy and Mommy loves you, then you will be my Daddy!” She all but squeals before she begins jumping up and down.
“You know what sweet pea, you’re right. So, do we have a deal?”
Sophie
Adam said he would be my Daddy! I have always wanted a real Daddy! Now how to find out whether Mommy loves Daddy or not. After my talk with Daddy, he holds my hand as we head back to the living room for our picnic.
“Where have you two been? The pizza is getting cold,” Mommy says.
I giggle as I look at Daddy “Shhh, it's a secret.”
“Yeah, it’s a special secret between Sweet Pea and me.” Daddy winks at me before having a seat on the floor next to Mommy. I giggle again. Mommy looks so confused, this is going to be so much fun.
“Okay, if you say so. Now, who is ready to eat?” Mommy says with a smile.
“ME!” Mommy’s pizza is my favorite. It’s better than the kind the man brings to the front door, although I have only had that once.
Mommy gives Daddy and me a plate, and we dig into our dinner. I watch Daddy look at Mommy, his eyes sparkle like twinkle lights when he looks at her.
“I wonder if I have a baby brother if his eyes will sparkle like that.”
Uh oh! I said that out loud!
Daddy starts to cough really loud, so I put my pizza down and climb into his lap.
I whisper in his ear, “I didn’t mean to say that out loud, but you think it helped?”
He looks down at me with the same sparkle in his eye, “I’m sure it did, but Mommy might have questions. Are you ready to answer them?”
“I sure am. Will you help me?”
“Of course, sweet pea,” he laughs.
“What are you two whispering about? Sophie, you know what I say about that,” Mommy says.
I look over, scared that she is mad, but she is just pretending.
“I’m sorry! But it is about our secret. It wouldn’t be a secret if we told you!” I say to Mommy with a giggle.
“Okay, baby. Now, what is this about your little brother’s eyes?” Mommy looks confused.
I think for a minute before I answer. Daddy said he wanted me to help him let Mommy know how much he loves her, and I need to make sure Mommy knows I want him to be my Daddy. Oh, I have an idea.
“Adam’s eyes sparkle when he looks at us, and I like his eyes very much,” I say with a smile.
Mommy looks at Daddy, and her cheeks turn pink before she looks back down at me. I can feel Daddy shaking against my back from laughing.
“They do, huh? I don’t see anything, but he does have very nice eyes.”
“Since, Adam loves us, I want a baby brother with eyes that sparkle just like his.”
Daddy and Mommy both start to cough really hard. I look up at Daddy with a big smile on my face. I am sure I did exactly what Daddy wanted, now Mommy will tell him that she loves both of us too. Come to think of it, I wouldn’t mind a baby brother either.
Isabel
I am not explaining the birds and the bees to my four-year-old! I look up at Adam in a panic, I don’t know what this secret is between the two of them, but he is going to fix this. Once he catches his breath, he picks Sophie up off his lap, so he can look her in the eye.
“Sophie, I do love you and your mommy very much, but just because I love you both, does not mean you get a baby brother,” he says to Sophie.
Wait, he said he loved me?
“That’s right Sophie. Babies are a lot of work and take time. So, I am not saying you will never get your wish, but it will be a long time before it’s an option. And what if you get a little sister instead?”
She tilts her head to the side for a moment, before answering.
“Yes, that’s okay. As long as we can both call Adam ‘Daddy’,” she says with a huge smile plastered across her face.
I again look up at Adam in shock, but what I see surprises me. He looks down at Sophie like she is the most precious thing in the entire world. I always wished that Jason would look at her like that, that he would be the father that Sophie always deserved.
“Sweet pea, what Mommy said is right. It takes time and a lot of love to make a baby, but most importantly, it takes a family. Although we all live here in this house together, your mommy and I are just friends, but know that I love you very much no matter what.”
Sophie looks up at him like he just crushed all her dreams. I have to turn away in order not to cry. This is how Jason should be with her, giving snuggles, love radiating from every pore. Instead, it is Adam, my doctor who barely knows anything about us.
“Come on, let's finish dinner. Mommy makes awesome pizza, doesn’t she? I have never had pizza this good, ever, and I have even been to Italy,” Adam says changing the subject.
Sophie’s eyes light up, “You have?” She scurries over to her plate of pizza and begins to rattle off questions to Adam. I turn to see Adam looking at me.
He really does have a small twinkle in his eye when he looks at me.
I give him a hesitant smile, and I am rewarded with one of his blinding smiles and a wink before he turns to answer all of Sophie’s questions. I don’t know what the future holds for us, but what I do know is that Adam is going to be a part of our lives for a long time to come.

Adam
Ever since our picnic in the living room, my partner in crime has been dropping hints to her mom about my feelings for her. I can’t be sure that it’s working, but she seems to be thawing more and more every day. Sophie has become desperate for a baby brother though, and I cannot say the idea of Isabel’s belly swollen with my child has not kept me awake at night.
However, our little bubble of bliss is going to burst. I got a phone call at work today from the hospital, the nurse that overheard what Sophie said in the emergency room about the abuse had filed a report. There has not been a formal investigation yet, but I am sure that Captain Alexander has been made aware that an allegation of abuse has been made against him. I need to have a talk with Isabel about pressing formal charges, but how do you bring something like that up? Everything between us is so tense, I’m sure just bringing up the subject would cause her to lose it. I have even received an order in the mail for her medical records, so formal charges will be filed any time now.
Time to man up, Adam. Now or never
I walk into the house, and I am greeted by an empty kitchen, as usual, but I have to find Isabel. I take a deep breath and begin
the trek up to her room. Gathering up all my courage, I gently knock on the door.
“Isabel, may I come in?”
“Hey, we missed you at dinner. We put some on the stove for you,” she responds.
It takes everything in my power not to run into her room and grab something and pack both of them up and run. These two are my world! Taking another calming breath, I crack the door to peak my head in. She is sitting on the bed and looks to be reading a book to Sophie.
“Love, can we speak in the kitchen? It will only take five minutes.”
I walk over to the bed and give Sophie a big hug and kiss, before looking her in the eye and asking, “Is that alright with you munchkin?”
“Of course! You would never hurt me or mommy. I trust you,” she responds with a beaming smile.
I love that she has put all her faith in me, I just hope that I will continue to deserve it. Placing her back down on the bed, I look up at Isabel for confirmation that she is willing to come along. She also gives Sophie a hug before following me out the door and down the stairs to the kitchen.
Her entire body is shaking as she heads toward the kitchen. I am sure she knows what I am about to say before I open my mouth. As we step into the kitchen, I wrap her in my arms and say,
“The police department called me and asked for a copy of your medical records today. Due to Sophie’s report of abuse at the hospital, they have opened an investigation against your husband. They wish to see you and Sophie at your house this evening.” I try to speak as calmly as possible, but I know the thought of seeing her husband again is frightening her.
“I don’t want to go back there,” she whispers softly.
“I know, love. I know. But they need your statement to go ahead with formal charges against him. He won’t be able to hurt you anymore.”
I watch her curl back into herself, losing the strong and self-assured woman she has become in the short amount of time we’ve spent together. I want nothing more than to protect her from the demon she must face, but I know better than anyone that she needs to find the strength to do this on her own. So, I wait for her to come to her own decision.
