“In this outfit, Brock, you’re never too young.”

Chaz stood across the reservation with Cole. He smiled at the scene of Lev running from Gage and Ethan. Cole sipped a beer.
“He looks good with kids.” Cole motioned to Lev with his beer bottle.
“He really does,” Chaz sighed.
“You still want them, right?” Cole looked over at his best friend. He looked so happy.
“Yes, I do.”
Josh walked up on them and eyed them warily. “You both look like you’re drugged up on some good shit.”
“So do you, Dad.” Chaz winked.
Josh grinned. “Damn, I can’t wait! My mom is seriously already knitting clothes and we don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl.” Tugging on his pant leg brought his attention to Kane at his thigh. “Hey little man, what’s up?”
“Boy,” Kane smiled.
Josh knelt down. “I’m having a boy?”
“Grant.” Kane nodded.
Josh frowned. “Why would I name him Grant?”
“Because that’s what I want.” Mark walked up on them and mussed Kane’s hair. “Thanks, Kane. Now we know what colors we need and a name is picked out.”
Josh huffed.
“Never a dull moment,” Cole laughed.
Lev spied Samson by the bonfire and excused himself. He was moving the logs around with a stick, a beer in his free hand.
“Hey.” Lev sat down. “How are you?”
“Alive. Thanks to you and Wayne.”
“Well, we are pretty cool.” Lev sat forward. “I wanted to thank you. You saved my life, and then you saved Chaz’s.”
“I knew you loved him that night, Lev. Hell, I knew before then. Just watching you two together, it was so damned obvious. After you left, I watched the news. I saw Chaz’s televised interview where he came out to the world. He looked like hell, Lev. He loved you even then.”
Lev glanced over his shoulder. “I loved him then, I love him now.”
“I’ll never understand that kind of love. Be glad you have it.”
“I think you’ll have it someday.”
Samson stood and threw his bottle into the fire. “I’m not like you. I don’t know how to do that, open up to someone. I’m glad you have it, but it’s not in the cards for me.”
Lev tilted his head to the side and smiled. “Oh, I think it is.”
“Can you see the future or something?”
“No, but Kane and Matty can, as well as Sebastian. It has something to do with having a werewolf as a mother. If I were you, I wouldn’t close myself off to the idea. I think the one for you is right around the corner.”
Samson snorted.
“I think Wayne wants a word with you.” Lev nodded to powerful man standing by the house.
“There you are.”
Lev smiled as Chaz made his way over.
“Hey, having fun?” Lev asked, rubbing his back.
“Yes, but I’m ready to go home. I need to make love to my husband.”
Lev stood up and whistled loudly.
“Hey, we’re out!”
Whistles and catcalls followed them to the car and Chaz laughed.
“Ready, Mr. Savage?” Lev asked.
“Yeah, I am, Mr. Savage.”
