For the Love of a Scrooge Page 3

“Oh gods, yes! Give me every last inch of you, Dick.” He began to move within her, oh so slowly at first. Rocking her hips, Noel matched his thrusts with each stroke.

Noel cried out at when Dick’s mouth claimed first one nipple, then the other, his tongue swirling around her hardening peaks. “That’s it, my sweet Noel, I want to hear how much you like the feel of me filling you.” He thrust hard and deep, her gasp music to his ears. When he pulled almost all the way out of her, she begged for more and he gave her what she wanted.

Noel was writhing beneath him, the ridges of his cock rubbing just right deep within her, pulling her ever closer to a climax. Needing to feel him under her hands, she dragged her nails down his back, leaving red trails in their wake and still she needed more. Still wearing her stilettos, she wrapped her legs around his thighs, digging the spikes into his flesh. “Faster, Dick!” She laughed throatily at his growl. “Gods yes, harder!”

Dick pound furiously into her, his balls slapping against her ass. Feeling her pussy ripple around his aching cock told him she was close to climaxing. Needing to feel her cum around him, he slid a hand between them, his thumb seeking her little nub of pleasure. Her body began to shake as she screamed her release, her hot juices coating his cock with each stroke. Pressure within his balls built, tightening as his hot seed erupted deep into her core. “Yes! Noel!” The shout ripped from his lips as wave after wave of his orgasm rocked through him.

Arching up, Noel dug her nails into the back of Dick’s neck, pulling him down to her as she rode out the dizzying waves of her orgasm. Claiming his lips, she swallowed down his roar and still, he continued to thrust in and out of her.

With a shuddering breath, she pulled back, gazing up into his eyes. The satisfaction she saw within their depths matching her own. A feeling of loss caught her by surprise when he eased out of her. That’s when she noticed that the limo wasn’t moving. “We’ve stopped and I think we missed all the lights.”

Dick laughed. “So, we did, and it seems Marcus has brought us to my home.” Dick found he was unwilling to see the night come to an end. “I’d like to renegotiate one of your terms, Noel.” When she stiffened beneath him, he pressed on. “The one where I have you home early. I’m hoping you will spend the whole night with me instead. I can’t promise to let you get a lot of sleep, but I can guarantee you’ll enjoy every minute of lost sleep.”

The smile she gave him was coy and so damn alluring. “I’d like nothing better, Dick.”

  Merry Blue Balls Christmas

Morning came too early but waking in Dick’s arms was as wonderful as the night had been. She’d lost count of how many times they’d come together, each time better than the last. Sighing, she started to ease out of bed. Dick’s arm snaking around her waist, surprised a squeak out of her. “Oh!” Undeterred it seemed, he nibbled at her neck, his large hand gliding along her skin to claim her breast. She gasped when his other hand slid lower. “Dick!”

Gods, but the man knew how to kiss and nip her to distraction, his wandering hands making her feel needy and wanting more and she hated herself for what she was about to say. “As much as I’d love to stay and make love with you all day, I need to go. I have to go by the orphanage and get the list of supplies they need so the kids can make decorations to hang tomorrow. It’s a Christmas Eve tradition.”

“It sounds like a charming tradition.”

His low, throaty words had her wriggling as much as the feel of his fingers brushing through the neatly trimmed curls above her sex did. Damn, but the man was making it hard for her to concentrate on what she was saying. “It really is. I love spending Christmas with the kids. They won’t have a tree this year, but thanks to your generosity in waiving my rent and late charges, I’ll be able to get each of them at least one small gift.”

Dick’s hand stilled, her words capturing his full attention. “Why won’t they have a tree? If you’re getting them decorations and gifts, why not get them a tree as well?”

Anger flared within her at his careless talk of buying a tree but when she turned to look at him, she saw that he truly seemed baffled. “The orphanage’s budget barely has enough to feed and clothe the children. Money dries up every year around the holidays, which is usually why my rent is late those months. I give up a full paycheck, more if I can, to bring these kids who have so little some joy and happiness.”

The look on Dick’s face wasn’t one Noel could interpret.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to put a damper on the morning. I really do need to go. I’ve got so much to do to get ready for tomorrow.”

Leaning in, Dick pressed a kiss to her lips. His hand teased over her heated skin before pulling back and letting go. “You couldn’t put a damper on this morning even if you tried, my sweet Noel. Unfortunately, I also have meetings I cannot miss today. I find that I’m not ready to see you go just yet though. Would you stay and shower with me?”

Temptation warred with all that she had to get done. “Dick, I want to, but I have too much to do. Can we maybe get together for a late dinner?”

Reaching out, Dick caressed her cheek. “I’d like that.” Rolling over, he grabbed his wallet off the nightstand and withdrew a business card from it. “This has my cell phone number on it. Text me with a time and I’ll make reservations for us.”

Marcus drove Noel home. Sitting in the back of the limo, she couldn’t help but recall making love there last night. Damn, I think I’ve fallen for the man. The realization was a stunning one. Before she realized it, the limo was before her building. Thanking Marcus, she got out and headed inside. Nearing her door, she frowned, seeing something taped to it.

Noel reached for the envelope that hung before her. Sliding her finger under the flap of the envelope, a shudder coursed through her, causing the hairs on her arms to stand up on end. Uncertain what had brought on the feeling of unease, she pulled a letter out of the envelope.

The company heading read Dick King Enterprises. Confused, Noel scanned the letter, the color draining away with each dreaded word. Her hands shook by the time she’d gotten to the end.

You lying son of a bitch! You used me to get what you needed, never intending to keep your word!

Noel’s phone rang. Recognizing the tone as Hailey’s, she answered on the first ring. “I fucking hate men! Especially rich, self-centered, lying men!”

The pause on the other end of the line deflated some of Noel’s anger. The sound of Hailey’s voice stole a little more away. “Something told me to call you and invite you over. From the sounds of it, you need someone to eat ice cream with and vent too.”

Looking down at the eviction notice in her hands, she balled it up, breathing through the urge to start cussing Dick King out again. “Thanks, Hailey, I but I need to make a stop before coming over there.”

Not bothering to shower or change out of her cocktail dress, Noel turned around and headed down to the parking garage under the bar. By the time she got to Dick King Enterprises, she was well and righteously worked up all over again.

The elevator ride didn’t take her to the top floor this time, instead, stopping one floor beneath it. Stepping out when the doors slid open, Noel felt every set of eyes upon her. Ignoring the sudden hush that fell over everyone there, she strode over to a woman sitting at a desk right next to the door that led into Dick’s office.

“Hi. I’m Noel Marney. I have a message and a gift for Dick. Would you see that the gets it please?”

The woman’s smile was polite, if a little hesitant. “Of course, Ms. Marney, it would be my pleasure.”

Noel’s smile was sickly sweet, much like the day-old fruit cake she plunked down onto the desk. Pulling out the wadded-up eviction notice, she smoothed it out. “Can I borrow a pen please?”

Noel looped a note at the bottom of the notice. My dearest Dick, you were aptly named because you are the King of Dicks! I hope you have a Merry blue balls Christmas and the fruitcake gives you indigestion! Sincerely, N
oel Marney

Satisfied, she folded the notice up and placed it back into the envelope, scratching out her name and writing Dick King beneath it. “Please see that Mr. King gets this as he leaves for the day and not a moment sooner. It’s very important that his day isn’t disturbed over a simple fruitcake or letter from me.”

Noel saw the woman swallow and tried to give her a comforting smile. She was pretty sure by the woman’s face that it had been more of a grimace instead. Not waiting for a reply, she strode back to the elevators and left King Industries.

An hour later, Noel sat with Hailey in her kitchen, eating not only ice cream, but cookie dough and drinking wine. The wine Hailey had said was a must after what Noel had been through and the cookies was Hailey’s attempt to bring Noel’s Christmas spirit back.

“Ah come on, hon, I know it seems bad but really it’s not. Well, ok, Dick, using you is bad, but you’ve been wanting to move out of that rat trap for over a year now. Take it as a sign. You can stay here with me. I have plenty of room. Save up some money and when you’re ready, you can get a place of your own.”

Noel took a cookie, hot out of the oven and bit in, chocolate oozing out, offering comfort almost as Hailey’s words did. “Thanks, Hailey, I appreciate all you’re doing here.” Noel hadn’t missed all the decorations Hailey had sitting out, waiting to be put up and knew it was her cousin’s way of trying to help her feel better. Hailey beamed at her and nodded at the closest box.

“Come on Miss Goddess of Christmas Spirit, this place isn’t going to decorate itself and you’ve seen how badly I decorate, so let’s get to work.”

It was useless to protest, and Noel knew it. “I love that you always seem to be able to make me feel better.”

  “Victory!”

The winning battle cry Hailey whooped out had them both laughing, and Noel realized as she followed Hailey into the living room, with wine and cookies in hand, that her Christmas spirit was indeed back with her once more.

Around the second box of decorations and third glass of wine, Noel told Hailey about her night with Dick. She was over being angry and back to being confused by the whole situation. “Hailey, what I felt for and from Dick wasn’t just business. I know I said he used me, but I was angry and hurt. Something just feels wrong.”

Hailey raised her glass, a goofy smile on her face. “What’s wrong is that you love him, and he probably loves you as well. Noel, there’s got to be a logical explanation as to why this happened. I think you need to talk to him.”

Taking a fortifying gulp of wine, she nodded. “You’re right, but it’s going to have to wait till after Christmas. I was supposed to go buy supplies and gifts for the orphanage today and didn’t. So, I’ll need to do all that first thing tomorrow. I’m hoping that you’ll let me crash here tonight though since I’ve drank way too much and would really rather not go home.”

Hailey moved over to Noel, pulling her into a hug. “Of course, you’re staying here tonight silly. As for the supplies for the orphanage to make decorations, I want you to take the rest of mine. Five boxes is just way too much holiday cheer for me to stomach. Take the rest and let the kids enjoy it.”

Noel blinked back tears as she gave Hailey a bone-crushing hug. “Oh, Hailey! Thank you, they’ll love it all.”

Hailey wheezed out, “You’re welcome. Now, let’s call it a night on decorating and enjoy the rest of this bottle of wine!”

Can Scrooge Find His Christmas Spirit

Meetings had kept Dick tied up all day. By the time he was ready to throw in the towel, he was way past the bah humbug stage. Checking his phone for the millionth time, he still saw nothing from Noel. Growling, he grabbed his briefcase and headed for the door. A knock sounded right as he pulled it open, revealing his stalwart secretary.

“Mrs. Bellamina, I thought you would have gone home by now!”

The words had come out sharper than he’d meant them to. Being a woman of no nonsense where his surly ways were concerned, she raised a brow but didn’t back down. “I’m on my way out now, Mr. King, but I needed to give this to you before I go. It was dropped off by Ms. Marney this morning. The young lady asked specifically that I give it to you at the end of the day.”

Dick’s pulse spiked as he took the package and envelope. Mrs. Bellamina started to turn but stopped, a frown marring her normally pleasant features. “Mr. King, I’ve been with you for many years now and until last night, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen you smile. I hope that whatever happened between you and Miss Marney after you left the party last night can be set right once more. She was a lovely lady and you two looked wonderful together.”

The elated feeling he’d just had deflated at her cryptic words. “I’m sorry Mrs. Bellamina, but could you be a little more specific? Was there something wrong with Noel when she dropped this off?”

Mrs. Bellamina seemed to think for a moment before answering. “She was still in the cocktail dress from last night and although she seemed composed, she was far from calm. It was her demeanor that warned of a storm beneath the surface.”

The elevator doors opened, and Bob Cravatt stepped out. Mrs. Bellamina smiled, then headed toward Bob. “Hold the door please, Mr. Cravatt!”

Dick looked at the box in his hand and grimaced at the sight of the fruit cake. Opening the envelope, he pulled out a sheet of paper that had obviously been crumpled at one time.

Bob moved beside him. “You look troubled, Mr. King. Is there anything I can help you with before I head home?”

Dick’s eyes were glued to the eviction notice, quite displeased by what he read but it was Noel’s note that shook him to his core.

  “Mr. King?”

Dick looked to Bob, anger rapidly replacing his shock. “Who the hell ok’d this eviction notice to be sent out?”

Bob gulped, a wheeze slipping past his pursed lips. “Well, that is, you did, sir. Yesterday before you left for the day. They were delivered first thing this morning.”

Dick wobbled a bit, reaching for his door frame to keep himself upright. “By the gods, I don’t even recall seeing the one for Noel in the stack.” The horror filling him must have shown on his face if Bob’s fidgeting was any indication.

“I’ve made a grave error, Bob. One I’m hoping you can help me fix.” At Bob’s nod Dick explained what the deal he’d made with Noel. Bob was quick to assure him that he would make sure the mistake was rectified. “It goes beyond that I’m afraid. You see, I find myself in love with Noel, and now it appears I may have lost her before even getting the chance to tell her. What the hell am I going to do?”

“Mr. King, this was a mistake. A bad one yes, but still, a mistake. You need to go to her and tell her how you feel. Or better yet, show her in a way she won’t be able to doubt.”

“Bob, you’re a genius! One that’s far too underpaid. I’ll be increasing your wage first thing Monday morning but now, I have a tree to get, a Santa suit to buy and an orphanage to visit!”

Bob blinked, bewildered by all he’d just heard his boss say. The stout clap to his shoulder brought him back to the present. “I’m very glad to have helped, Mr. King.”

“Please, call me Dick. We’ve known each other far too long to stand on formalities like last names.” Dick laughed at the stunned look on Cravatt’s face. “Go home to your family, Bob, and be sure that you enjoy the next two days off with them!”

Not wasting another minute, Dick stormed out of his building, a man on a mission.

Seeing Marcus waiting by the limo, he called out. “Marcus, I need you to take me to Noel’s as fast as you can!” Laughing at his chauffeur’s disbelieving face, Dick jumped into the limo, closing the door behind him.

The drive seemed to take far too long but really had only been twenty minutes or so. Finding Noel’s apartment empty, Dick went down to the bar, where he searched out Dante. The male was wiping a part of the relatively quiet bar. Striding over, he slapped a hundred down onto the mahogany wood.

; “I need to find the orphanage Noel spends every Christmas Eve. I allowed a very big mistake to happen and I must explain and try to fix things with her.”

The way Dante studied him almost made Dick squirm where he stood. Something about the male told him he wasn’t someone to fuck with. “Please, this means more than money ever could to me. Help me show her that I love her.”

Dante grabbed a napkin and Dick sighed in relief when he started writing. Instead of handing it over, Dante pegged him with a deadly stare, the male’s eyes flickering with flames deep within. “You hurt her, and I will make sure you know what pain is for eternity, Mr. King.”

Dick didn’t doubt Dante would carry out his warning. “I want only to convince Noel that I love her. So, if that hurts her, then I expect nothing less from you.”

Seemingly satisfied, Dante handed over the napkin.

With the name and address in hand, he nodded his thanks and was off once more. “Marcus, we need to find a craft store, as well as a toy store and a Christmas tree lot. I think the Santa suit will have to wait until the morning.”

Marcus tipped a finger to his hat and grinned. “Leave it to me, Mr. King, I know just the places.” Settling back, Dick let his plan formulate. Each stop he made he came out with more than the store before and the Christmas tree was almost as long as the limo. Marcus had even known of a costume store that was still open.

With Santa suit in hand, he took one particular bag into the house with him, directing Marcus to leave the rest of it in the car. “I would like to leave here by nine tomorrow morning Marcus. See that the tree will survive until then, please.”

Dick made his way to the kitchen, startling the poor cook half out of her wits. “Ahh, Ms. Henrietta, I apologize for invading upon your territory, but I need your help.”
