“I had you guys. I was fine,” she said, smiling over at him.

“That can’t happen again. From now on one of us has to be near you at all times. There are just too many dangerous things in the world to take a chance with your safety again,” he said.

Holly frowned. “You guys can’t watch me twenty-four-seven, Jessup.”

“Sure, we can. There are two of us. It’s the reason men share nowadays. To keep their women safe.”

“I think you’re overreacting, Jessup,” she said.

“No, I’m not. Evers agrees with me. You’re too precious to take a chance on something happening to you. We’re going to be careful with you.”

“You can’t wrap me up in cotton wool and lock me up in a cage, Jessup. Not only is that not practical, but I’d hate it.”

“That doesn’t even make sense,” Jessup said, shaking his head.

“Never mind. You don’t get it. I’m just saying that you can’t protect me from everything all the time. I can take care of myself some, too.”

“I know, sweetness, but keeping you safe is our responsibility.”

Holly sighed. He wasn’t going to let up on it, so she decided to change the subject instead.

“Evers said that it will be April or May before spring is here. When do you normally plant?” she asked.

“Usually the middle of May. Harvest normally starts mid-July and continues until there’s nothing to harvest, even after the first snow sometimes.”

“What do you normally plant?” she asked.

“Tomatoes, potatoes, onions, butterbeans, purple hulls, zucchini, corn, squash, okra, and various herbs,” he said.

Holly nodded. “Sounds about like what we grew. What about melons?” she asked.

“No, haven’t grown any of those,” he said.

“When we go back to get the rest of my stuff, we need to get some seeds. You should grow a few melons to enjoy during the summer. You can’t preserve them so only a couple, but they’re good.”

  “I like that idea.”

“I can’t wait to get started. I love harvest time even though it’s a lot of work. It’s when you see the fruits of your labor, pun intended there. I love seeing results. Makes all the work you put in during spring worth it. You know?” she asked.

“Yeah. Most of our work is in the spring and most of your work is in the fall. We share the work in the summer,” Jessup said.

“Ugh, don’t remind me of that part of the year. It’s hot and boring work. Weeding out in the heat and watering into the night. Hate that part of growing stuff,” she said.

Jessup chuckled. “But the results are worth it. Fresh produce while we put up the excess,” he said.

“I guess.” Holly sighed and started rolling her shoulders again as her stitches started itching again.

“What’s up?” he asked, narrowing his eyes.

  “I’m itching again,” she whined.

  “Turn around.”

  * * * *

Holly squished her toes into the fur of the rug in front of the fireplace. The bear skin looked perfect in front of the fireplace. She’d talked the guys out of keeping the head, saying that she’d only trip over it if they did. So, there was nothing to keep her from walking all around the rug as she stomped on it and shuffled across it with a huge grin on her face.

“You look entirely too much like a cat with a canary feather sticking out of its mouth,” Evers said.

  “Maybe.”

“She looks like she’s having a good time stomping on that old bear,” Jessup said.

“He can’t hurt anyone anymore,” Holly said.

“Well, once you finish giving the bear the old finger, let’s get ready to go outside and figure out if we can start work on the garden tomorrow or not,” Evers said. “I still think it’s too wet, but maybe we can do something productive out there.”

“Okay, okay. I’m ready.” Holly walked over to the couch and sat to pull on her socks. She’d put on her boots at the back door.

The men followed her to the kitchen and all three of them pulled on light jackets and their work boots. Once outside, they walked out to where the garden still had some of the dead foliage from last year’s growth. Holly walked through the rows and agreed that much of it was still too wet to work with a plow, but they could pull out the dead stuff much easier with it being wet.

“Let’s pull up the leftovers and get rid of it while we’re out here,” she said.

  “Good idea,” Jessup said.

“Holly, babe, why don’t you get a chair out of the barn and set it up over there where you can watch while we work?” Evers said.

“Why can’t I help?” she asked.

“You can, but why when we can do it and there’s not a lot to do? Let us do it, okay?” he asked.

Holly sighed and walked over to the barn and found a chair inside she could drag out to the yard and set across from the garden where they were working. She sat down and watched as they pulled up stalk after stalk of dead corn and bean vines. They threw it all into a pile at the end of the garden. She wondered if they would attempt to burn it or compost it. She hoped they would compost it. Burning it would be such a waste, plus they’d have to wait for it to dry up before they could anyway.

Sure enough, once they were finished, they chopped it all up with a hoe and added it to a huge pile that they turned with pitchforks. She looked around as they worked and thought about what was different between where she’d lived before and where she lived now. While there wasn’t a whole lot, there were some things. One that came to mind was that the guys didn’t have a worm bed. Did they go fishing?

“Hey, Evers. Do you guys go fishing any during the spring and summer?” she called out.

“Yeah, there’s a river not far from here. Why?” he asked.

“We need to start a worm bed like what we had back at the Johnsons’. Remember?”

“Sounds like a good idea. What do we need?”

“Do you have any old tin or corrugated plastic?” she asked.

“Might be some out back of the barn. We’ll look when we finish this,” he said.

“Why make a worm bed? All you have to do is go dig them up from anywhere,” Jessup said.

“You didn’t see the beauties they had back there. They were as big around as your little finger and as long as your dick. Perfect for catching nice sized fish. You feed them leftover scraps like potato and apple skins. Crap like that,” Evers said.

“Worm that long will just scare the damn fish away,” Jessup said, shaking his head.

Holly giggled and hit Evers in the arm before walking back to the chair to leave them turning the compost pile. By the time they’d finished it was growing dark outside. They put up their tools and went back inside.

Evers turned on the lights long enough for Holly to fix supper then turned them back off while they ate and got ready for bed. Having a hot shower each night was a luxury she thoroughly enjoyed. Sometimes she had a hot bath, but she saved those for when she’d had a hard day and needed to soak.

Tonight, she settled beneath the covers while the men got ready for bed. When Evers slid in next to her, he pulled her on top of him and took her mouth in a searing kiss. His tongue dueled with hers as she gave him herself. She loved it when he kissed her. He took control and demanded her full cooperation. She twined her tongue around his then pulled back, gasping for air.

“Want to ride my dick tonight, babe?” he asked.

  “Yes.”

“Climb on. When Jessup gets through in the shower, he’s going to take that sweet ass of yours,” Evers said.

“I thought I’d give him a blow job like you taught me the other day,” she said.

“I don’t want to look at his hairy balls while you’re on my cock, babe. That ain’t happening.”

Holly giggled at the visual and nodded. “I hadn’t thought about it like that.”

“He’ll be really careful with you, Holly. Okay?” Evers said.

&n
bsp; “Okay. Will it hurt much?”

“It will burn some, but if you give it time it will feel really good.”

Jessup walked into the room, drying off as he stalked toward the bed. He scrubbed at his head, trying to dry his hair.

“Did I miss anything?” he asked.

“Evers was talking about your hairy balls,” Holly teased.

“What? No, I wasn’t,” Evers said, giving his hips a bounce.

  Holly giggled. “Were, too.”

“Climb on my dick and stop talking about it,” Evers said.

Holly lifted to her knees and lined her slit up with his hard cock and slowly sank down the shaft. Her wet pussy easily took his thick dick into her. Once she was flush with his pelvis, she breathed out a long breath and sighed. She always felt full to her throat when one of the men was all the way inside of her.

“Move on me, baby. Lift that hot ass and ride me,” Evers said in a tight voice.

Holly groaned as she slowly lifted up then slid just as slowly back down. She knew she was driving him crazy because she was doing the same thing to herself. He grunted as she dropped down the last little bit then ground her pussy against his pelvis.

“You little minx. You’ll pay for that later,” Evers said between clenched teeth.

She grinned but bit her bottom lip as she lifted off him and got to work moving up and down his long thick cock. She ground her body against his with each downward stroke. It felt so good. So right. Then he was pulling her down to lie against his chest.

“Let Jessup get you ready for his dick, babe. Just relax.” Evers kissed her as Jessup ran his finger up and down the crack of her ass.

She felt something cool and slippery drop on her anus. Then he was spreading it around her back hole with his finger. When he slowly massaged it into her ass, she moaned. It felt good. Then he was adding more of the slippery stuff and pushing his entire finger in and out of her over and over. It didn’t hurt, but it made her feel odd. When he added more lube and a second finger, she groaned as her ass began to burn with the stretch of the added digit.

  “You okay, honey?” Jessup asked.

  “It burns,” she said.

“Do you need me to stop?” he asked in a strained voice.

  “No. Not yet.”

He pushed in and out with those two fingers, added more lube then thrusting a little faster as she slowly widened for him. Soon she was taking both fingers without any trouble. He withdrew those and added more lube.

“Relax and push out for me, Holly. Try not to tense up, okay?” Jessup said.

Then he was pushing his cock against her back hole and the burn that she’d felt before was doubled as his thick cock head pressed against the little round rosette. She tried to relax and push back, but it hurt, and she was just about to ask him to stop when he made it through the tight resistant ring of muscle and slid deeper inside of her. The pressure eased, and she gasped as the burn lessened.

  “You okay, babe?” Evers asked.

  “Yeah. I’m good,” she said.

“Fuck, you’re so fucking tight back here, honey. I’m never going to last. Hot and tight like a fucking vise,” Jessup said.

“She’s tight and wet around me with you back there,” Evers said. “Let’s move.”

Holly nearly screamed when they began to move inside of her. First Evers pulled back then Jessup pulled back while Evers surged forward once more. They moved in and out of her in tandem until she thought she’d go insane with the feeling. She’d never have believed that she could get excited with one of the men in her ass before, but the pressure of an orgasm was building, and it was building hard and fast.

“I’m close, Evers. Help her. I’m not going to last much longer. She’s got me just about to blow,” Jessup ground out between clenched teeth.

“I’m right there with you, man.”

Holly didn’t have the strength to tell them she was almost there herself. Instead, she screamed out her orgasm when Evers stroked across her clit twice. She clamped down hard on both men as she flew, sending them over at the same time. The three of them shattered around each other.

When Holly finally came down enough to know what was going on around her, she found that Jessup was cleaning her up while Evers had her flush against his chest, rubbing her back with his big hands.

“You okay, baby girl?” he asked when she moaned.

“Yeah. That, it was. I don’t know. Amazing,” she finally got out.

“Perfect,” Jessup said. “It was perfect.”

“I’m tired now. I think I could sleep for a week,” she said.

“Go on to sleep, babe. We’ll take care of you,” Evers said.

“Wake me up in the morning to fix breakfast if I don’t wake up in time,” she said then yawned so wide her jaw popped.

Jessup chuckled as he climbed into bed. Evers slid her off him to lie between them. He threw one arm over her waist and kissed her shoulder.

“Sleep. Won’t be the end of the world if you’re late waking up in the morning,” he said.

  Chapter Ten

“Are you sure Jessup will be okay at the house without us? Maybe he should have come with us, Evers. What if someone attacks him while we’re gone?” Holly asked.

“He’ll be fine. We’ll only be gone a couple of days. We need to get the rest of your things and I promised you’d be able to see your family and let them know that you’re really okay with us,” Evers said.

“I know. I can’t help but worry about him there by himself.”

“He has plenty to keep him busy working on the garden. He’ll get a lot of the work done so that when we get back there won’t be nearly as much to do as if he’d come with us. Stop worrying,” Evers said.

They’d stopped to rest about two hours away from the house she’d lived in for all her teenage life. She couldn’t wait to see her sisters and the boys. She missed them but was happy with Jessup and Evers. She hoped her sisters would find good men like them.

They ate some beef jerky and washed it down with fresh water from a stream near where they rested. Holly longed to rest her bare feet in the water but figured it would be ice cold and they didn’t have time anyway. She was just as anxious to get there as Evers was.

When they finally walked into the back yard of the house the boys ran to greet them from the direction of the garden. She hugged each of them, commenting on their height and how much they’d grown.

Then her sisters ran out from the house with Mrs. Johnson right behind them. Mr. Johnson walked out from the garden seconds later.

“How are you doing?” Mrs. Johnson asked.

“Great. They treat me like a princess,” Holly told her then promptly felt her face heat when she looked over at Evers.

“Well come on inside. You can tell us all about it. We packed up all your things, so they’d be ready for when you came back for them. It will save you some time, so you can spend more time visiting. You’ll stay the night, won’t you?” she asked.

“If you don’t mind putting us up,” Evers said.

“Of course not. You’ll have supper with us and an early breakfast then be on your way in the morning. It’s great to see you both,” Mrs. Johnson said.

Evers followed Mr. Johnson out to the garden while Holly followed her sisters and Mrs. Johnson into the house where they were doing laundry. She pitched in and talked about her new life with the three women. She realized just how much she’d missed having her sisters around and wished they lived closer to her.

She would talk to her men about introducing them to the two men who lived down from them. First, she needed to meet them to see if they were worthy of her sisters. Then she could play matchmaker if they were.

Suppertime came quickly and soon after that time for bed. They bedded down in the living room in front of the fireplace. Though it was spring, it was still chilly at night. Early the next morning, they loaded up her things along with a small sample of melon seeds, some apple butter and jelly, and start
ed out for home. It was much slower going with Evers pulling the now full sled behind him. She’d offered several times to take a turn pulling it, but he’d refused and after the third time jumped on her to stop pestering him about it.

She grumbled under her breath but didn’t bring it up again. Finally, after nearly eight hours of walking with frequent rest breaks, they walked into their yard where Jessup greeted them and took the sled from Evers.

“Missed you guys. How was the visit?” he asked Holly.

“It was great. I really miss my sisters. I wish we lived closer,” she said.

“I know you do,” he said.

“Let’s get this stuff in the house and start supper so we can get some rest,” Evers said.

Though he wasn’t exactly snappy, Holly could tell he was tired and wanted to get off his feet. She nodded her head toward the house at Jessup and walked across the yard to the back door.

After supper she cleaned up while the men got ready for bed. She wasn’t a bit surprised when Evers was fast asleep before she even made it there. Jessup kissed her.

“Don’t worry about him. He’ll be fine in the morning. Just worn out from worrying about keeping you safe and all that physical labor of pulling the sled. You’ll see,” he said.

“I hope you’re right. Everything here was okay?” she asked.

“Right as rain. I worked on digging up the garden. Got all the way through it once and a fourth of the way through it on the second run. Still have a lot to do though.”

“How long until it’s ready to plant?” she asked.

“Not for a few more days. Maybe by the weekend. Just pray that it doesn’t rain between now and then,” Jessup said.

“Do you like the men that live just down the road from us?” she asked, changing the subject.

  “Um, yeah, why?” he asked.

“Do you think they’re good men?”

“Yeah. I do, why are you asking about them?”

“I was thinking about my sisters. They need good men to take care of them and if they were with them then they’d be closer to me and we could visit some,” she said.

“Whoa, little matchmaker. You can’t go messing in people’s lives like that,” Jessup said.
