her

Mary and Joseph were already turned away at the inn

Joseph starts to speak yet, before one word comes out

The little lamb gets up and sees Mary

The lamb moves to the side

  Followed by its mother

The rest of the livestock makes room for Mary as well

For they know on this night, a child will be born

That child will look kindly a pond all living things

  New Silent Night

  Silent night

  For Alaska the last frontier

  Holy night

We can pray that the bear will stay away

  All is calm

That darn porcupine is at it again

  All is bright

There is so much to do before winter settles in

  Round the virgin

You can get lost out there in the wilderness

  Mother and child

That colt will follow its momma

  Sleep in heavenly peace

  I am so dead tired…

  Christmas Time

  Cheers to one and all

  Holiday goodies are finally out

Relatives and friends come with smiling faces

Ideas have been found for what to get all for Christmas

Strings of lights, and decorations cover the Christmas tree

Twinkling lights light up the room bring warmth to all

Merry Christmas is said through out the day

All amazed by what they see

Secrets are shared in low whispers of what’s to be

Table is all ready for Christmas Dinner

Idle is not to be on this day

Music plays in low key of Christmas

Enjoy the day for Jesus is the reason for this celebration

  Snowmen

Snow has fallen on the ground

No time like the present to build a snowman

Old snowman of the past reflect in the one to be made

  Willing helpers please join in

Molding snow into three large balls

  Enlarging them as we go

Now is time to stack the balls of snow then adding final touches

  Crispy

Crispy is the air on a cold winter’s day

Crispy is the baked Christmas goods that taste so good

Crispy is the sound of stepping on breaking ice

Crispy is the doughnut you have on a break…

  Untitled

Warm throws lay on backs of living room couches and chairs

They catch the rays of sunlight flowing in from closed windows the see through curtains hang from rods above the window pain

Bloomers and britches sitting on couches and chairs

  Throw pillows leaning on armrest

Bright lights and color seems so fitting on this Christmas Eve

The tree is glowing in its Christmas best

Presents lay under Christmas tree just waiting to be opened up

Table’s covers on all have a touch of the Christmas season

Holiday treats circle about on small plates

  Cards hanging or open doorways

Christmas village scene is set on up on every shelf of a bookcase

Snowmen and angles appear all about

A woodstove sits in dinning room corner showing a warm glow

Snowmen made of hockey sticks guard the French door

All seems almost perfect though there is some thing missing to bad not all could come

This next section of poems connected to doors was originally put to paper as a Holiday promotion for the city of Canandaigua, New York for business, and home- owners alike to show their holiday sprite. This was my contribution. The first poem was on display in the Arts Council of Ontario County doors holiday season show. For doors the AC used kitchen cabinet doors from a small business that closed it’s doors for good earlier in the year. No copies of “Doors” were ever made

  Doors

  Doors are a simple deal

Until the holidays bring them to life

Decorated to be a welcoming sight.

  No two are alike.

But what is inside is the same.

The spirit of the season with warming hearts

  And sharing special things

  Friends or foe

  Does not matter

  With doors to shops

  Being so inviting

All it takes is a walk

  Through the door..

  Doors of the World

  Made of straw

  Wood

  Steel

  It does not matter

All opening to a home inside

  No prejudgment

  To make matter worse

Just a place to rest your feet after at the end of a long day

  Holiday Doors

They show us the love of the season

No matter of religion we follow

Warmth fills the heart from inside

A wish for peace comes flowing out

  Family and friends become closer

  Strangers are more welcomed

Giving to charity is more popular

Why does a door change a mood?

  Doors on Display

  Creativity comes to life

  Taking weeks to plain,

  Then caste into being

  Paintbrushes washing different colors

  Across a board

  Using glue and other supplies

Are used to create an image

From the creators head to a board in a window

  For the world to see

  Doors of Life

  Weather good, or bad

  We open another door

None is as warm as a Each time we make a choice

  Holiday door

Dressed in the finest that can be

  Created on a budget

Such a choir to improve the door

Only to be open and closed

Rarely drawing the attention it deserves

Here is to you the door

  Protecting what is within

Inviting to others when we open you up…

  Angles Mission

  Angles in windows

  Fluttering about

  Looking in wondrous delight

  Bring the season to life

Warming up hearts of all mankind

  It is a wonderful life

  Ringing of bells

  Angles leaving in their ranks…

The following poem was included to help those facing issues of their own please adjust the words to fit your personal needs no one needs to suffer in disentrance when a good prayer can help.

  Prayer To Angles

  Angles of heaven

  Come on down upend me

  Case of loving heart

  Help me to get through

  This block in my life

Open my eyes to the positive

  Please take away the negative

  I could use some comfort

  Nature

There is nothing as a wonderful site

That only nature bring to life

  Hidden from mans view

Just waiting for the right night to shine

For celebrating life just for one night

Then locked back up in mystery

  Waiting for another special night…

  Thanksgiving

  What a holiday

  Full of turkey

Until it starts coming out of your ears

This is the day you are required to eat

As if we need such a day

Today we practice from the days of the Roman Empire

Then we see those who should really care

Now we could care less what Thanksgiving really for

Instead we get the low down of the present day

Where are those who once knew

The true meaning of this very day

  Those who suffere
d to start out as Pilgrims,

  And Native American Indian’s

We are just out of touch

  We need some reminding

What the purpose of Thanksgiving really is…

  Christmas

  A day of cheer

All decked out in the seasons best

  Story’s fill the air

All seem like man has forgotten what they are on this day

Showing kindness to friends and strangers alike

Gifts galore for the ones that are a part of who we are

The gifts are bought to out do one another

Charging up cards going into debt

  Oh what fun it is

By trying to out do each other

  Giving gifts to one another

We really need to know what this day really stands for…

The following poem was written for those who care for your home. Thank goodness I am not one.

  It’s Over

The our family have come and gone for another year

  Decorations have seen better days

Falling down from their once proud place

Papers and boxes filling the trash and recycle bins

Dishes set in piles already for the maid to take over

  Though there is no maid

  Stains on carpets

  A broken glass or two

I just do not want to clean up

But we are in a New York a time for change

I vow not to be so friendly next time around

Maybe everyone can meet some other place instead..
