To those who never know what’s to come in this life. Follow your dreams without letting go of the things you hold dear in this life. You can have both without choosing one or the other.
Acknowledgments
My Family – To my husband for always standing next to me and supporting me through out anything and everything. Sure, I annoy him, regardless he’s always there for me to lean on when I need to. Him and my children are constantly inspiring me to keep going and put up with my ramblings. Especially my husband since some things aren’t for children’s ears. To my youngest with the imagination that’s out there, if not for you I don’t know what I’d do to find my inner Bart. To my middle kid she’s my mini me through and through. No matter what she’s always got some sarcastic remark to throw and I end up using it as inspiration. To my oldest, thank you for just being you and making awesome old bay fries to munch on as I write.
My Betas – You guys rock! Thank you all for being the first to read the stories as they come alive. It means the world to me. Especially when you all start to get mad. That’s when I know I’m doing something right. And in doing so pushing me to keep going with all the different plots that form in my head. I’m thankful to you all for being ready and willing to read and give your input.
My Knox Publishing People – If it wasn’t for you all being helpful and encouraging when I need it, I don’t know what I’d do without you all. You’re all wonderful in your own right and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The biggest thing I’ve got to say I’m thankful for most, is the fact I’m able to be around those who understand the way my mind works. Each and every one of you have earned a special place in my life, one way or another.
Liz – My sister from another mister, my best friend and Publisher/Boss. You’re my go to when I need it. If not for you, I don’t know if I’d ever be where I am today with my writing. Thank you for always pushing me and encouraging me.
Diane – You’re my sanity. Without you taking everything on for me, I would not be able to focus the way I do on my writing. Thank you for everything you do. You’re not just my PA, you’re my friend and I couldn’t ask for a better friend than you. Thank you for helping me so much with translations.
Kim and Jackie – I know I’m a pain in the rear a lot of times for you guys; however, you both put up with me regardless. Thank you both for everything you do and taking on all of my work. I love the fact I work with you both on each of them. Also, the fact when it comes to something I miss, you help me understand how to correct it, so it doesn’t happen again.

Choices of the Mind
There comes a time, choices are to be made
Right or wrong they’re yours to make
No one can make them but one person
Seek the answer within
Don’t let others make them for you
Choices are a freedom
Only you can determine what you do
When the time is right, you must choose
Right or wrong it’s your decision to make
Block out the voice on the outside
Listen to the one that means the most
The only one that matters
Look within yourself to find your answers
Can you handle it or not?
Right or wrong the choice comes from you
No one else
As the time comes, look in the mirror
Stare into the eyes and see through to the mind
Make your choice and know it’s yours

Prologue
Nerd
Two months Ago
“She’s going to be the fuckin’ death of me,” my brother, Coyote, mutters as he throws himself into the chair next to me.
“What’s going on?” I ask, already guessing as to who he’s talking about. It’s either his ol’ lady, Tinsley or his sister, Cara.
“Cara, she’s still pissed at me for breaking up her fun at school,” he quips, dragging a hand through his hair.
“Well, what do you expect? She’s at school, wants to have fun and not have her big brother checking up on her constantly,” I state, not wanting to think about Cara, period. For several reasons and none of them good.
Cara is one smart, beautiful, and very appealing woman. One that is too damn young for me to be thinking about in any way other than my brother’s little sister. Not easy to do when you know how good she feels in your arms. Her senior homecoming dance, the guy who was supposed to take her stood her up and Coyote asked me to take her. Reluctantly I’d agreed; however, the two of us had a good time.
Later after taking Cara home, I’d tracked down the fucker who had the balls to stand her up, several of my brothers and I taught the fuckwad a lesson. One he learned in front of the little cunt he’d been fuckin’ while we’d pulled him off her, hog tied his ass, and put him where all his classmates would see him with the words pussy written on his forehead.
Unfortunately, Cara had been pissed we’d done this and now she wouldn’t be asked out from anyone for the rest of the year out of fear something like this would happen to them.
I honestly didn’t give a fuck and neither did her brother. She’d been accepted to some fancy fuckin’ school up in New York and he’d wanted her to focus on school. Which is what she’d ended up doing.
Several months ago, when Cara left for school, Coyote went to check on her during the first week and found her at some frat house. Don’t know much about what happened but since then she has ignored her brother’s phone calls and didn’t come home for any of the holidays.
“She can get over that shit, it’s been months and she’s yet to fuckin’ meet Cody. Shit she refuses to take my calls at all now. If it wasn’t for Dex’s monthly check-ins I wouldn’t know shit,” Coyote mutters.
“What did Dex report last?” Crazy the small world we live in that one of our allies, the Reapers MC has one of their members going to the same school as Cara. Shit, even smaller considering who her roommate is. Ember is the niece of one of our other allies out in Texas, the Satan Keepers MC.
“Hadn’t heard from him yet this month. I’m guessing everything’s good,” Coyote mutters, shoulders slumped.
“Maybe you should just cave and head up there to confront Cara instead of sitting here bitchin’ about her not takin’ your calls and what not,” I suggest, shrugging.
“Tinsley said the same. Thing is, I don’t want to leave Tinsley and Cody.” No shock there. It was a shock to all of us when Tinsley came here carrying a baby in her arms that was Coyote’s son. Then the shit that happened with the biological mother’s brother. It was a complete clusterfuck and I didn’t trust anything about the situation.
At least not right away. I’d needed to make sure things with Tinsley were legit and she wasn’t trying to pull shit on us.
I personally looked into her after her arrival wanting to make sure she was solid. I had a hard time believing the type of person she was. What I’d found, you’d swear s
he was a fuckin’ saint, even being the cousin of one of the most notorious men, Grigory, also known as the bogeyman who once was the torpedo for the Pakhan in Russia. Over the years we’ve gotten to know what sort of man Grigory is and though he’s scary as fuck and lives up to his name, his family and those he considers close are just that.
“I get it, brother, I do but if you want shit normal again with Cara, you’re gonna have to do something,” I state.
Coyote opens his mouth to say something but closes it when his phone rings. Pulling it out, he answers immediately. “Dex,” he mutters in greeting. A minute later his features change, and I become alarmed. “You’re sure?” The question comes out more as a snarl. “Alright, thanks, appreciate it. If you get any news on your end let me know. Do the same here. We’ll find her.” Disconnecting the call, Coyote throws the phone to the table. “Need you to find my sister, Nerd.”
