“Good to know.” He sat back and smiled down at her. I could get used to this view.

With her dress pooling at her waist in both directions, he hooked his fingers on each side of her waist in her dress and her panties. Looking to her in question again, he hoped she wouldn’t want to stop. He would, but he wanted more with both his body and his heart. She nodded, and he let go of the breath he was holding in anticipation.

Pulling her remaining clothes down her legs taking her heels with them, he thought he’d died and gone to heaven. This girl must be an angel to be this gorgeous. He pushed her legs apart and licked his lips. She looked so wet. He couldn’t wait for a taste.

“Nope.” She closed her thighs and cut off his view. “Your turn.”

He stepped back, unbuckled his belt, and pulled it through the loops. Dropping it on the floor with a thud, he looked back at her, watching for any signs she wasn’t ready for where the night was going. He unfastened his jeans, hooked his thumbs in the sides and pushed them to the floor. He stepped out of his jeans and shoes at the same time nearly tripping on the unforgiving denim. Standing there in just his socks and boxer briefs, he felt more vulnerable than he’d felt in a long time. He pulled off his socks, and then hooked his thumbs in his underwear when she stopped him.

“Let me.” She sat up on the edge of the bed, slipped her fingers into the waistband of his briefs, and began pushing them down. His cock sprang free in her face, and he smiled at the shock on her face.

“Damn. You got a license for that thing?”

“Sure. You want to stop everything right now, so I can get it out of my wallet?”

“Not on your life.” She pushed his briefs down the rest of the way and then surprised him by taking him in her mouth. She clutched his butt cheeks, swirled her tongue around the head of his cock and then took all of him again. Damn the girl was talented. Too bad he had to stop her.

“Naughty girl. I warned you I’m on the verge. Are you trying to make me embarrass myself?” He asked the question with a smile in his voice while he pulled back from her glorious mouth.

He pushed her back on the bed and bent down placing her legs on his shoulders. Using his fingers, he parted her folds and spied her little engorged bud, glad to see she was as turned on as he was. He was right. She was so wet, she was almost dripping. He looked up at her to see she was biting her lip with a nervous expression. How did the vixen go from a confident woman with his dick in her mouth to nervous when the tables were turned? She either really liked to be in control or she wasn’t as experienced in receiving as she was giving. The former would be fun to work out considering he liked to be in control too, but the latter made his blood boil. Who was the asshat in her past that took more from her than he gave? They hadn’t had the exes-talk yet, and he wasn’t keen to bring it up because it would lead to a conversation about Joe. But if they were heading where he hoped they were, it was time to tell her everything and hear everything in return.

Pushing those thoughts out of his head to focus on the moment, he licked a bold stroke from her hole to the top of her clit pulling a moan from her, deeper and longer than he’d heard from her before. If she wasn’t experienced in receiving, he was determined to show her what she was missing and give to her as much and as often as she allowed. She tasted so good, he wouldn’t mind having her for dessert after every meal.

Focusing his tongue on her bud, he slipped a finger inside her and used his thumb in tandem with his tongue. She closed her eyes and grabbed at his hair. In any other situation, it probably would’ve hurt, but it just told him he was doing something right and spurred him on. He slipped another finger in and curled both, stimulating her from the inside. She clamped her legs around his head and he smiled still assaulting her clit with his tongue. Wiggling around like she couldn’t stay still; her moans were getting louder and her breathing getting faster. He nipped at her clit and she went over the edge.

“Will!” She screamed his name as her muscles started clutching and spasming around his fingers. He licked her lightly, drawing out her orgasm for as long as physically possible.

When she’d fully come back to earth, he reluctantly pulled his fingers out of her and gave her mound a kiss before climbing up on the bed with her. He laid down behind her and pulled her close, spooning her from behind.

“What about you?” She turned slightly to look at him.

“Don’t worry about me. I’m good. That made you nervous, so we should stop,” he said kissing her on the nose. “For tonight, anyway.” He winked at her. He had reservations about having sex with a woman who visibly trembled just letting him into her apartment.

“Umm… Okay. Only at first. You’re right though.” She looked embarrassed to be discussing such things. “I want this to last, so I’m okay slowing this down a bit.”

“Me too.” He kissed her lips, slow and easy. Then he pulled the blankets over them and draped his arm around her. “Now sleep. It is way past my bedtime.” He chuckled. He was joking. Sort of. 6 A.M. shifts at the firehouse had him going to bed early whether he had to go to work the next morning or not.

He drifted off to dreamland and slept better than he had in a long time.

When he woke up, it was daylight and he was on the verge of orgasm. Wow. That must have been a great wet-dream, but he couldn’t remember it.

  No. That wasn’t it.

Then he looked down and the most beautiful naked woman had her full, luscious lips wrapped around his cock.

“Good morning.” He tried to keep his composure and failed.

She didn’t answer. Just looked up at him with his cock still in her mouth and winked. Winked! This girl is awesome.

With one hand she massaged his balls and with the other she stroked the base of his cock. Between denying himself last night, and her talented mouth and hands, he wasn’t going to last long. But he was going to last long enough to enjoy himself as much as possible.

She pumped up and down, swallowing more of his dick each time. Deeper and deeper until her nose nearly touched. The sight of his cock disappearing into her mouth over and over would’ve been enough to send him over the edge on his best day, but when she swirled her tongue around his head, took him back in her mouth and squeezed his balls, he was done for.

“I’m going to come.” He lightly pushed on her shoulder, trying to get her to pull back.

But she didn’t. She managed to say, “Uh uh” around his cock and the vibrations broke the last of his resolve.

“Oh, God. Nikki. Fuck!” He was unable to contain himself anymore as hot streams of his cum shot to the back of her throat. She swallowed him down and held on to him still lightly pumping up and down his cock with her mouth and hand as he came down from his orgasm.

He didn’t know what prompted her to wake him up that way, but he’d sell his soul to the devil himself if he could make it a regular occurrence.

  Chapter Eleven

  Nikki

“Breakfast?” She sat up wiping the corners of her mouth.

“Blow job and breakfast. Can I wake up in your bed every morning?”

She just smiled at him. She could never tell if he was joking or not.

“Come here.” He reached out his arms.

She crawled up towards him and laid down in his arms. He put his arm around her, took her ass cheek in his hand, and kissed her, soft and sweet. But when she tried to deepen the kiss, he pulled back and said, “Why don’t I start that breakfast? Or I can run out and grab something. There’s a great donut place just around the corner from here.”

“I know.” She looked down at their bodies lying next to each other. Hard and soft. “I go there quite often, if you can’t already tell.” She wasn’t obese, but she knew she wasn’t very fit, either.

“I could tell.” He deadpanned. Before she could get upset that he was about to join in her self-loathing, he continued. “I could tell your ass fit perfectly in my hands when I carried you to the bedroom.” He squeezed the ass cheek in
his hand for emphasis. “I could tell your breasts filled out your dress nicely, and I nearly came in my pants just seeing them naked for the first time.” He brought his other hand to her breast and pinched her nipple causing her muscles to clench like a remembered orgasm and liquid heat to pool between her legs. “I could tell your thighs were full and strong when they clamped around my head while you orgasmed on my tongue. And I can tell, when the day comes I take you from behind, that your ass, hips, and thighs are going to look so good while I push into you. I’ll have to focus extra hard to keep from coming in two pumps.”

“Holy sassafras,” she whispered. Speaking of coming, she nearly came from his dirty appraisal of her body alone. Yep. Nothing like Aiden at all who always made her feel she needed to lose a few pounds.

Placing her hand behind his neck, she pulled him in for another kiss, and it immediately turned heated. Their tongues dueled in a frenzy until they were both out of breath, and he pulled away.

“Breakfast.” He sat up, and practically jumped out of bed. “You stay here. I’ll go grab sustenance for us.”

“Okay.” Why does he keep pulling away? Do I really seem that timid? Is it out of respect or something else? She might not have been ready when they got home last night, but he denied himself, and then slept next to her without trying for more. Not even once. By now, she knew if she was going to take a chance with her heart and her body on anyone, it was going to be him.

“I’ll be right back.” He dressed in his clothes from the night before, covering up that gorgeous body of his. She glanced at the puckered scar on his side but smiled and looked him in the eye without saying anything. She thought she’d seen it the night before, but the room had been dark enough that she couldn’t be sure. She intended to ask about the scar marring his otherwise perfect physique but sensed she would have to pick the right time to bring it up. It wasn’t really marring anything though. She never considered herself a fan of scars, but when he’d undressed with his little striptease for her, she’d nearly swallowed her tongue. The act left her unable to stop herself from taking his cock in her mouth. If there was one thing she could thank Aiden for, it was all the experience she had giving blow jobs. He always preferred that over anything else. Turd bucket.

“Grab the gate key by the front door so you can get back in.”

“Yes ma’am.” He kissed her forehead and left the room.

There must have been a line at the donut place because he wasn’t back by the time she had showered and dressed. So, she left her condo to check her mail. The mailboxes were by the gate to the parking lot, so she would run into Will if he came back while she was out of the house.

On the way out, she grabbed her phone to check for missed calls and saw a text from an unknown number with a Berkeley area code. It had to be a different number than the call she received the night before because she’d blocked that phone number. Curious, she opened the message.

  Unknown:

You had your chance. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

What did that even mean? Why didn’t she listen to her gut? She knew before she opened the message that it wouldn’t be good.

She blocked the number, stuffed the phone in her back pocket and was standing at her mailbox, sorting through her mail and stewing over the mystery text, when someone walked up to the gate. Turning, she expected to see Will, or one of her neighbors, but seeing Aiden there shocked her. He just wouldn’t give up.

“Who is he?” At first, she was so surprised to see him standing on the other side of the gate that she couldn’t process what he bellowed. Of all the things she might’ve imagined him saying, yelling that particular question was not one of them.

  “What?”

“You heard me. Who is he?”

  “Who is who?”

“Don’t play dumb. Who is the guy who spent the night with you?”

“Excuse me? What do you care? You divorced me, Aiden!” Then she realized what he’d said exactly, “Wait. Are you stalking me?”

“I came to see you last night. I caught you kissing him and then leaving with him. So, I waited around until you came home, but instead of saying goodbye to him at the gate, he went in with you. Then he never came out. I waited and waited, and he didn’t leave until this morning. Who is he, Nikki? Who are you whoring around with?”

“Whoring?” She screamed loud enough for most of the complex to hear. “You divorced me, Aiden! Why do I have to keep reminding you of that? What is going on with you? Why are you contacting me? What are you doing here? Why would you watch my condo all night?”

  “I want you back.”

Four words. He knocked the wind completely out of her with four words.

“No. Go home to your wife Aiden. This ship has sailed.”

As if on cue, Will came up the walk behind Aiden.

“Hey man, I think you need to go.” Will addressed Aiden calmly. Thank goodness his head was cooler than hers, or at least, he was hiding the raging storm better than she was.

“You!” Aiden yelled as he turned to face him. She was beginning to think he was drunk. She’d never heard him yell so much.

“Me!” Will mocked Aiden. “Who are you?”

  “Her husband.”

  “Ex-husband,” Nikki clarified.

“Okay,” Will who stood a few inches taller than Aiden, winked at her over his head, and immediately made her feel better about the situation. “Well, the lady said ‘no’, so if you don’t leave by my suggestion, you’ll be leaving by way of my foot.”

“Is that right, tough guy?” Aiden asked with false bravado.

Does he have a death wish? Nikki was in shock over the way Aiden was acting. Since their divorce, he’d turned into a man she didn’t even recognize anymore.

“Yeah. That’s right.” Will stepped closer and got in Aiden’s face with real bravado.

“Okay. Fine. I’m leaving. But this isn’t over.” Aiden spoke so softly, she had trouble hearing him, but Will heard him loud and clear.

Will stepped even closer to Aiden and walked forward while he made Aiden walk backward down the sidewalk, stalking him all the way to the parking lot.

“Oh, it’s over. If I see you back here again, or if you come within a hundred feet of Nikki, I will make it my mission to fuck you up. I’ll fuck you up so bad, your own mother won’t recognize you. Are we clear?”

“Crystal.” Aiden’s voice sounded begrudging. Then, he turned and walked to his car.

Will walked back to the gate, unlocked it, and came to where she’d taken up post at the mailboxes. Still holding the bags containing their breakfast, he took her in his arms, kissed her, and said, “We need to talk, sweetheart.”

Four more words that could knock the wind out of her. “We need to talk.”

  Chapter Twelve

  Will

He wanted to pummel that guy! He was doing his best to keep his composure, but he was screaming on the inside. No one attacked his girl whether with words or fists and walked away scot-free, but he needed to hear from Nikki what exactly was going on before anything went any further.

When Will came back from the donut shop, and some man was talking to Nikki through the gate, he thought one of her neighbors had forgotten his gate key. Then as he was getting out of the truck, he heard Nikki yell, “Whoring?” and nearly tripped over himself to come to her rescue. He was yards away when he heard the jackass say he wanted Nikki back, and that stopped him in his tracks. Waiting for her to answer was like waiting for a call from your doctor to find out whether you were dying or not. He needed confirmation from her that she still needed rescuing. Then she told Aiden to go, and he’d taken that as his cue to end the conversation and get the guy to leave like she’d asked. The “husband” part had thrown him for a loop. But what woman in her late twenties doesn’t have past loves? Especially one as beautiful as Nikki. He certainly had no room to judge.

They walked in silence back to her condo. With breakfast a
ll but forgotten, he laid the donuts on her kitchen counter, and walked with Nikki to her living room, sitting her down next to him on the couch. They sat in silence for a minute, both wondering what to say, both not wanting to go first.

Will decided to break the ice. It was time to rip off the band-aid and have the conversation they were both avoiding.

  “So. Ex-husband?” Smooth. Real smooth.

  “Are you mad?” She flinched.

“What?” Mad was the opposite of what he was feeling, at least towards her. “About what?”

“That I didn’t tell you about Aiden.”

“Of course not.” He brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. “We haven’t had that discussion yet. Our phone calls always stayed on lighter topics. Fun topics,” he said with a wink. “I think we both stayed away from talking about pasts and exes. I know I did.” He paused, psyching himself up to hear what she had to say. “So, what’s the story with this guy? I can’t protect you if I don’t know what I’m dealing with.”

“Protect me? He’s lost his darn mind, but I don’t think he’s dangerous.”

  “Never underestimate a desperate person.”

“‘Desperate’ seems like a bit of a stretch.”

“Oh, make no mistake. That was a desperate man out there. He wants you back, and he was not happy to hear you tell him ‘no’.”

“Well, it’s not going to happen. The sooner he gets that through his thick skull, the sooner I can get back to never seeing him again. I never in all my life thought he’d follow me down here.”

  “You’re not from San Diego?”

  “No. Berkeley.”

“Small world. I’m from San Francisco, well a tiny city just south of there, but not many people have heard of it.”

  “Try me.”

  “Okay. It’s called Port Moody.”

“Yeah. I’ve heard of it. I’ve never had a reason to go there, but I could find it on a map.” She laughed.

“He still lives up there?” He hated to steer the conversation back to her ex, but he was still worried about her safety.
