Wes pushed Emil in the direction of Felix and then grabbed Kristin’s hand and ran towards his truck.

  “He seems nice,” Kristin giggled.

“Yeah, he’s a beaut alright,” Wes said as he opened the car door for Kristin. Before she could climb in, Wes took hold of Kristin and kissed her deeply. Kristin gasped lightly at first but then melted into his arms and kissed him back.

“I’ve wanted to do that since the moment I saw you here. Even before I saw you here. For the last month,” Wes said, bending down to kiss her again. “Let’s go.”

He guided Kristin into the passenger seat and ran over to the driver’s side to get in. Wes drove with a mission, back to the Ramada and pulled into a parking spot, squealing the tires and brakes as he got there.

Wes jumped out of the truck and opened the door for Kristin to get out. Once she was out, he took her by the hand and led her directly inside and over to the elevator. The doors slid open quickly, and the two jumped inside. Wes pressed the Door Close button several times to shut the doors before anyone else got on the elevator. As the elevator moved, Wes pulled Kristin to him once more so they could kiss again. Wes’ hands roamed all over Kristin’s body. He placed his hands on her waist and pushed her against the back wall of the elevator, slipping his tongue gently into her mouth as they kissed more.

Wes moved his hands up from Kristin’s waist to the yellow buttons that went down the front of her dress. One by one, he started to undo the buttons until he had undone them all down to her waist.

“Wes,” Kristin gasped, “what if someone else comes in the elevator?”

“I’m up on the fifth floor. We’re almost there,” Wes said as he looked at the floor indicator before turning back to touching Kristin. His hands slipped inside the open part of her dress, cupping her breasts encased in her yellow bra. Kristin became caught up in the moment as well, reaching her right hand down to feel Wes bulging through his jeans.

Naturally, the elevator came to a stop on the fourth floor. Kristin noticed the doors sliding open and pushed Wes back a bit so that she could pull the top of her dress together. An older couple stood and stared for a moment as Wes and Kristin stared back.

The gentleman had his mouth open, while the woman took his hand.

“We’re looking for the down elevator, Vincent,” she said to her companion. “This one is clearly going up,” she said, giving a sly grin to Kristin and Wes.

The doors slid closed, and Wes and Kristin both broke out in raucous laughter.

When the elevator finally reached the fifth floor, Wes peeked out to make sure no one was in the hallway. The two then made a mad dash to Wes’ room, Kristin fighting to keep her bra covered as she ran. Once Wes got the door open, he dragged Kristin inside and then placed the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door.

“I’m not taking any chances,” Wes said as he closed and locked the door.

Wes stripped out of his t-shirt and kicked his sneakers off before he even reached Kristin on the bed. Kristin let her dress fall open before pushing it down her body, leaving her in just her yellow bra and panties. Wes took his cue and removed his jeans, not wanting to waste a second more. He then leaped on the bed, causing Kristin to bounce up a bit and shriek loudly.

“Wes!” she yelled before coming to rest in his arms.

“I have missed you so much,” Wes whispered before he began kissing Kristin’s neck.

Kristin brought her hands up to Wes’ head, cradling it, and pulled him from her neck so she could look at him.

“Wes, you have to know that it was difficult for me to be apart from you. I just felt like we needed this time to see what we each really wanted.”

“Kris, I’ve known all along what I wanted. I just got a little distracted along the way, and I’m sorry about that. The way that things are… I don’t want to be apart from you, and if that means I have to give up baseball…”

“I never said you should, Wes,” Kristin insisted. “I just wanted to know that I was a long-term part of your life and involved in what we decide is best for us as a couple. Let’s not…”

Wes kissed Kristin hungrily and cut her off and moved above Kristin.

“We can talk about it later,” Wes told her, moving down to kiss her breasts through her bra.

Wes deftly reached behind Kristin and unhooked the bra, and Kristin shook it off and tossed it away so that Wes could continue. As he cupped her breasts, his tongue worked slowly around each nipple, lightly flicking across the tip to send bolts of ecstasy through Kristin’s body. Each touch, kiss, and nibble made Kristin arch her back to get herself closer to Wes, allowing the warmth building inside her to touch against the arousal building in his briefs.

Wes continued teasing Kristin’s breasts with his tongue while his left hand moved down across her taut belly and came to rest on the front of her moist panties. Just the slightest touch outside, combined with what he was doing to her breasts, made Kristin’s whole body tingle and want to explode. He touched, licked and teased her all over until Kristin couldn’t take it anymore.

  “Wes… I need you… I need to feel you…” she implored.

Kristin’s hands moved to push Wes’ briefs down, freeing him. Her right hand immediately ran to grab his thick erection, and she could feel its strength and desire with that first touch. She began to slowly stroke him as Wes tried to keep up with his teasing of his own. It was a clash of wills as Wes placed his palm over Kristin’s mound through her panties, making her moan in pleasure. Kristin followed that with a move of her own, gliding her palm over the head of his penis, taunting it with light pressure.

Wes pulled his face away from her breasts and gasped on his own.

  “No fair,” Wes growled.

“All’s fair in love…” Kristin started to say before Wes slipped a finger into her panties and inside to feel how wet Kristin had become. She moaned loudly this time, pushing her hips up so she could meet Wes’ fingers. Her own hand moved from Wes to grip the sides of the pillow her head was on as she writhed in pleasure.

Finally, Wes gently eased Kristin’s panties down her legs so she could kick them off. He positioned himself over her again, and slowly, achingly slowly, moved into her. Both shuddered and groaned and that feeling, knowing it had been far too long since they had experienced this pleasure together. Wes slowly built a rhythm, rocked back and forth, as their hips moved in unison. Kristin pulled Wes down to her, kissing him deeply, holding him tightly to her as they moved. Kristin could take no more, and she arched and groaned into Wes’ mouth as they kissed, feeling wave after wave of pleasure wash over her.

The way Kristin’s body tightened around Wes was all he needed to get pushed over the edge himself. He thrust deeply into her and came, keeping his body pressed against hers so they could repeatedly kiss as their pleasure together subsided.

“Oh, God, that was…” Wes was at a loss for words.

“Amazing? Because it was,” Kristin noted. “I guess that’s what they mean about make-up sex,” she laughed.

Kristin put her head on Wes’ shoulder as he held her in his arms, kissing her sweetly over and over. After lying in bed together for a while, Kristin turned to Wes, who had closed his eyes and had a grin on his face.

  “Wes?” she said softly.

“Hmmm,” he responded, keeping his eyes closed.

  “I’m famished.”

Wes opened his eyes and rolled over to face Kristin.

“What do you want? I can get room service, anything you like,” he told her, sitting up and grabbing the phone.

“Well, I'm careful about what I eat and drink,” Kristin remarked. “I’ve still had issues and figured that maybe I wasn’t eating right.”

“Did you go to the doctor?” Wes asked with concern.

“Oh yeah,” Kristin answered quickly. “She gave me some pills to take, and they have helped, but she still thinks I need to watch what I eat.”

“Okay, then you tell me what you want. If the hotel doesn
t have it here, I can go out and get it.”

“No, I don’t want you to do that,” Kristin said as she sat up next to him.

“Kris, it’s no big deal. There’s a convenience store down the street, a Chinese food place, pizza, burgers, you name it. You tell me.”

Kristin stared at Wes before answering.

“I really feel like having a small cup of soft-serve vanilla ice cream,” she said with a smile.

“That’s all you want? You said you were famished.”

“I may have exaggerated a little. Sometimes a little bit of ice cream is all a girl needs. Forget about it,” Kristin said, pulling the bed sheet up over her breasts.

“No Ma’am,” Wes said, jumping out of bed. He grabbed his briefs and jeans off the floor and put them on. “My lady wants soft-serve, that’s what she will get. I think there’s a Dairy Queen somewhere around here. I’ll find it and be back in a few minutes.”

Wes slipped his sneakers on, sans socks, and went to grab his t-shirt, but Kristin scooped it up instead.

“Uh-uh, I’m putting this on,” she said as she sexily slipped the t-shirt over her head. “And nothing else.”

Wes hurried to his drawer and grabbed another t-shirt, then the keys to his truck, and gave Kristin a quick kiss.

“Hold that thought,” he said. “And don’t put anything else on.”

Kristin laughed as Wes darted out the door.

Wes had been gone for about fifteen minutes, and Kristin bathed in the afterglow of their experience together. She lifted the collar of his t-shirt, inhaling so she could take in the manly smell that she loved so much about him. Kristin resolved that they were back on track and that their future together was going to bring great things.

A knock on the door made Kristin turn and face the door before she moved towards the door to open it.

“Did you forget your key?” She asked. “See, that didn’t take long at…”

Kristin opened the door to see a woman standing there, holding a bottle of champagne and two glasses. She was dressed in a maroon blouse that was open two buttons too far and a tight black leather skirt. The two women stared at each other without either one saying anything.

“Can… Can I help you?” Kristin stammered, trying to pull the hem down of the t-shirt that suddenly seemed way too short.

“I was looking for Wes,” the other woman said, before smiling at her. “Oh, you must be Kristin. Wes mentioned you in passing.”

The woman moved past Kristin and into the room without asking and sat down at the small table in the corner.

“I’m sorry, who are you?” Kristin said, staring and still holding the open door.

“I’m Sabrina,” she said with a smile, crossing her legs and letting her black leather heel dangle from her left foot. “I guess Wes didn’t tell you about me. I can’t say I’m surprised.”

Kristin let go of the door, and it slammed shut.

“What are you talking about? I’m Wes’ girlfriend,” Kristin said with emphasis.

“Oh, I know who you are,” Sabrina said confidently. “Wes told me that you two had a bit of a falling out recently. I was just stopping by to you know, celebrate his big game. I think you know what I mean,” Sabrina gave Kristin a Cheshire Cat grin.

“What? But Wes… we just…” Kristin was at a loss for words.

“He probably just wanted one more tumble for old time’s sake. You know how these athletes are. You were just the first game of the doubleheader, honey.”

Wes returned to the room, juggling what he had purchased at Dairy Queen as he slid the key card into the door.

“Kris, I got your ice cream, and some extra whipped cream and chocolate sauce, in case, well, in case you wanted to try some,” he laughed. The room was empty, but the bathroom door was closed with the water running.

Wes put everything down on the table and spotted the champagne and glasses there.

“Hey, where did the champagne come from?” Wes asked.

“I brought it,” a voice said, and Wes’ head snapped up. There stood Sabrina, dressed in the black t-shirt that Kristin wore when he had left.

“Sabrina, what the hell are you doing here? Where’s Kristin?” Wes barked.

“Oh, Kristin, she’s charming Wes, she really is. The epitome of a small-town girl. But that’s all she is, Wes – just a girl. You need a woman in your life, someone strong, take charge, someone who can keep up with you.”

“Sabrina, what the fuck did you do?”

“I just laid out the facts for her is all, Wes,” Sabrina said as she started to open the champagne. “I told her you said that you were having trouble, and I thought you needed someone that was more your speed.”

Sabrina approached Wes with a glass of champagne, trying to hand one to him. Wes slapped it out of her hand, shattering the glass against the wall.

“Ooh, don’t worry, Wes. I like it rough,” Sabrina said, pushing herself against his body.

  “Get out!” Wes yelled.

Sabrina took two steps back and stared at Wes.

“Are you fucking serious? You’re going to choose that goody-two-shoes nothing over me? You don’t know what you’re passing up.”

Sabrina reached down and started to pull the t-shirt off.

  “That’s it,” Wes said gruffly.

He grabbed Sabrina’s hands and led her towards the door, opening it up and pushing her out. Two seconds later, he opened the door again and tossed Sabrina’s clothes and belongings out to her as well. Sabrina stood there, stunned.

“You’re an asshole, Wes! A has-been asshole!” Sabrina screamed. She gathered everything up in a ball and marched off down the hallway.

Wes sat on his bed and frantically dialed Kristin’s cell phone. Unsurprisingly, it went right to voicemail.

“Kris, I don’t know where you are or what happened here, but you have to believe me when I say there’s nothing between Sabrina and me. I don’t know what she said or did, but none of it is true. Please, call me back.”

Wes tossed his phone down, trying to figure out where Kristin went and what he should do next to try to fix this mess.

Kristin got down to the lobby in tears and blindsided by what happened. Her first thought was that she needed to get away from the hotel before Wes got back. There was no way Kristin could face him again. She didn’t have her car with her at the hotel and had Karen drop her off at the stadium since she was coming this way to see Brian anyway. She tried Karen’s number twice, but Karen didn’t answer either time. After the second voicemail, she left Karen a quick message.

“Karen, please call me as soon as you can,” she said through sobs.

Kristin walked up to the front desk, wiping tears from her eyes. The young man at the counter looked stunned to see her this way.

“Is everything alright, Ma’am?” he asked.

“Could… could you please get me a cab, as soon as possible, please?”

“Of course, Ma’am.” The desk clerk picked up the phone, pressed a button, and called a cab, telling them it was urgent.

“They have a driver in the area. He’ll be pulling up in a minute. Do you need help?” the clerk said with concern.

“No, thank you. You’ve been very helpful,” Kristin said as she walked out the sliding glass doors.

Within a minute, a cab pulled up in front of the hotel and Kristin climbed in.

“Hello,” the driver said to her in a friendly tone. “My name is Harry. Where can I take you?”

Kristin gazed out the window and saw Wes walk towards the front of the hotel from the parking lot, carrying the ice cream she asked for.

  “Miss?” the driver questioned.

“Can you take me over to the mall?” she said quickly.

“Miss, it’s after eleven. The mall closed over an hour ago.”

“It’s okay, I’m meeting someone there, please, just go,” she pleaded.

“Whatever you say,” the driver repl
ied.

The cab pulled away with Kristin crouching down so Wes wouldn’t see her leaving.

The mall was just moments away, and Kristin asked the driver to pull around to where the restaurant was, knowing they were probably just closing and leaving for the night. She handed the driver twenty dollars for a $2.50 fare and told him to keep the change as she climbed out of the car.

The driver pulled away, and Kristin scanned the parking lot for the cars that remained. She waited just a few minutes before Brian came out of the restaurant door, his jacket slung over his shoulder.
