She Gave Her All to the Hood’s Finest Page 28

by Shvonne Latrice

Together we cackled loudly as fuck before slapping hands.

Hopefully they gave her ass life.

  Shanece

“Paul.” I entered the living room. “Are you sure you don’t want to come?”

“Can you move from in front of the TV, Shanece.”

“Seriously, how long are you gonna be acting like this toward me? I told you I was sorry about what happened at the studio.”

Ever since that shit went down between Paul and Rahim, Paul had been treating me like his damn nurse… a platonic one at that. He wouldn’t touch me, kiss me, or even speak sometimes. He even went as far as to put a pillow between us in the bed, prompting me to just leave the bedroom altogether.

“You saw how those people disrespected me, and you’re still choosing to be around them, so as far as I’m concerned, you’re not sorry.”

  “People?”

  “The skinny guy, and Camarih.”

“Camarih? Are you serious? You yourself even admitted that you were wrong for how you talked to her, so how is she back to being the enemy.”

“The point is neither of them respect me as your partner and husband, so I can’t be around them. You want to, so don’t expect me to be all nice and loving while you frolic in the hood with the enemy.”

“Okay fine, I will not go.” I switched to the back to call Camarih. Another one of Eitan’s singles made it to radio, so we were going out to celebrate. “Hey,” I spoke softly when she answered.

“Hey, when will you get here?”

  “Um, I’m not gonna come.”

  “Why? No!”

“Paul is just…” I toyed with the chain on my purse. “He just doesn’t want me to go and—”

“No, Shanece. What did I tell you about that? You spend six days a week at home with him after work, being his nurse and staying inside because you won’t leave him alone. What is one night a week for yourself gonna do that’s harmful?”

“Ari, you know how he is, and ever since he and Rahim got into it, he will barely even acknowledge me.”

“Maybe if you quit begging for his attention, he will give it to you. He likes to see you on your knees like he’s some king. So maybe if he thinks you don’t care, he will change… a little. Whatever you do, don’t leave me alone, please.”

“Alone? You have Tony’s foolish ass.”

“I do, but he’s ghetto just like the rest of these niggas, so while I’m sitting pretty, swaying a little bit to City Girls, he’s gonna be downing a bottle of champagne, lit.”

“Yeah.” We both chuckled. “Okay, I’m gonna come.” I nodded as if she could see. “Be there soon.”

After hanging up, I made my way through the living room and to the door.

“Where are you going?” Paul frowned out of confusion.

  “To the club, remember?”

“I thought you said you’d stay home?”

“Changed my mind. Don’t wait up.” I yanked the door open and left quickly. The look on Paul’s face moments ago, made me smile as I rushed to my car.

The ride to the club took about forty-five damn minutes because of all the traffic. It was Saturday, so it seemed everyone was headed to Hollywood tonight.

I used valet, and then gave my name to the bouncer after standing in line for under ten seconds. I was escorted inside, and as soon as I looked up, I spotted Eitan, Tony, and Cornell at the balcony overlooking the club, turnt as hell to “In the Dark” by YG. Each of them had a bottle of champagne and a blunt to their lips. Tony’s ass was shirtless, so he was really having a ball.

I finally made it up, eyes landing on Camarih seated on the plush couch. Other women were up here too, crowding the space, despite it being a large section.

“Hey!” She hugged me and gestured toward the liquor display.

I immediately made myself a drink.

“Nothing for you?” I frowned at the cocktail in her hand that looked like a frozen margarita, but something was missing; something like alcohol.

“No, I’m fine.” She gave me a closed mouth smile. Her one dimple was so pronounced however, so it still showed even though her teeth weren’t.

“The last two times we’ve gone to dinner, you haven’t drank anything.” I frowned, so she leaned over to whisper to me that she was pregnant. “Are you serious?” I covered my mouth.

Before she could answer, Tony had come back over, nice and twisted, to pop open another champagne bottle.

“You good?” he asked her once it was open, and before she could finish nodding, he bent down to kiss her deeply. It was so deep I had to look away for some reason. It felt too inappropriate to be watching. “Sup?” He spoke to me with the driest tone ever once he was upright.

  “Hello, Tony.”

“My bad, I meant what’s up, Shanece.” He grinned.

“What! You called me Shanece for the second time in your life?”

“Fuck out of here. I’m only acting like I got some sense ’cause you my girl’s friend and shit. Fuck her over though and you back to being a hoe.”

“Thank you.” I nodded as Camarih chuckled.

Tony left to be with his homies, so Camarih and I continued to talk a little more about her pregnancy before partying it up. Some girls in here were doing the most in the tiniest dresses for attention, and it was ridiculous.

After three drinks, I had to pee, so I rushed off to the bathroom nearby for the VIP people. I relieved myself and then left, but ran right into Rahim, who I didn’t know was here.

“Shanece.” He grabbed my wrist when I tried to walk by him.

“Leave me alone, please.” I snatched away.

“Let me apologize. I was wrong for intruding on you and yo’ husband’s conversation, and even more wrong for making it obvious we’d talked about your relationship problems. That was way out of line, and I hope you forgive me.” He palmed his chest.

I didn’t understand why I was so attracted to this man. The drinks may have had a hand in it, but even at the studio I was thinking how sexy he was. His brown skin, low cut hair, and nice lips were so perfect right now. He was skinnier than I liked but it was okay for some reason.

  “It’s fine.”

“Cool.” He held my hands in his for a few moments, before we started kissing.

We backed into the bathroom, where I locked the door, before helping him unbuckle his jeans.

He got a condom from his pocket before his bottoms fell, and then lifted me up onto the counter of this nice ass bathroom.

“Ah.” I whimpered after he moved my panties to the side and entered me with force.

Lifting me off of the counter a bit, he continued to slide in and out of me as I moaned softly. Our lips were right back on one another’s as we fucked right here in the bathroom. It felt so good, and the liquor only made it better.

“Oh my gosh, baby.” Rahim moaned, licking my neck as he sped up.

We called out together as he hammered me, making me cum right away. He followed suit soon after, letting me rest back on the sink.

Leaning my head against the mirror as I sat on the countertop, I breathed heavily. I felt Rahim’s mouth on my clit, and minutes later another orgasm rushed through my body.

Standing up, he began to clean himself as I caught my breath, coming down from my sex high. And when I did, it hit me what I had just done.

I’d cheated on the love of my life. I’d cheated on not only the love of my life, but while he was battling a potentially terminal illness.

“No, move.” I hopped down from the sink, shoving Rahim when he tried to hug and kiss me.

Peeing in one of the stalls, I fixed my underwear, cleaned myself, and then came out to wash my hands.

  “What’s wrong, Shan—”

“I’m married, that what’s wrong! Oh my gosh.” I began to have a panic attack.

“Calm down, relax.” Rahim attempted to soothe me.

“I can’t relax.” I sobbed. “What did I just do?”

  “It’s okay—

“What is okay about it? Please tell me one thing that is okay about me cheating on my sick husband, who I am in love with! The man I’ve been with for all of my life damn near, and who has always been good to me!”

Rahim opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out, so he sighed.

“Trust me. I know how you feeling—”

“You don’t know shit! You’re single! You can do whatever the hell you want with no feelings of guilt!”

He stared at me like he wanted to say something but when he didn’t, I stormed out, moving just in time when he tried to grab me.

I texted Camarih that I was leaving, and quickly made my way out of the club.

Paul was right, I had no business hanging around single folk or unmarried people. Now I had possibly ruined my marriage, which to me was my life.

  10

  Camarih

I tried calling Shanece a few times after I got her text, but she wouldn’t answer. I didn’t know what happened between us having a ball and her going to the bathroom, but I was sure it was because of Paul.

I didn’t want to dislike him, because I understood the root of his anger, but it was hard not to.

“You aight? Where yo’ strong face homegirl?” Tony sat next to me, putting his arm around me after slipping his shirt back on.

“Shanece is pretty. She does not have a strong face.”

“I ain’t say she was ugly, but that face is strong as fuck. Maybe ’cause she always frowning at a nigga.”

“I am not supposed to laugh at your rude ass comments.”

“Yes you are.” He kissed me.

“So it’s okay if I say Rahim has a bird chest?”

Tony almost spit up his drink, so he paused to swallow it and then shook his head.

“You wrong for that shit. The homie got an eating disorder. He’s just now getting over the shit and feeling comfortable enough to be in public with muthafuckas.”

“Oh my gosh, really?” I covered my mouth. I felt terrible for what I’d said.

  “Nah.”

“Houston.” I elbowed his stupid ass for lying.

We kissed for a little bit, and I felt my audience in the VIP watching. I was used to it though, so I brushed it off. I lay my head on Tony’s shoulder as he typed away on his phone with one hand and drank with the other. He smelled so nice and felt nice too. I enjoyed feeling every movement in his body as he drank and texted.

“Nah, put that shit down. I’ll end up having to slap you and yo’ nigga.” Tony stopped a girl from taking a champagne bottle from the ice bucket. “That’s for the prettier hoes, and the ones willing to get fucked on.” He threw salt on her wound as she stomped off.

“Isn’t her nigga your friend?” I giggled.

“One of Cornell’s homies, not mine.”

I just shook my head laughing, especially because her boyfriend heard what Tony said and did nothing.

My phone buzzed in my lap, so assuming it was Shanece, I checked it. I saw it was just my latest picture from earlier tonight, blowing up with comments. Lately I’d gotten a lot more followers, and most were women from LA. They would leave comments like ‘cute’ or heart-eyed emojis under my photos, or in reply to my stories if I posted Tony or something alluding to him.

It was nothing for people I didn’t know to follow me and make comments. Hell, I had 400,000 before I met Tony, but I knew these girls were trying to be funny.

I knew a lot of women liked dating men that other women wanted, but I hated it. I hated how every time I was with him in a group setting, the women watched me the whole time. I hated the new followers, the comments, and the eyes on my profile and his. Hell Prince was a famous R&B singer, and the hoes didn’t sweat me this much with him.

“Aye, Wacko, they saying Brielle is here. Let her up?” Abel called out.

Tony just mouthed ‘nah’, giving Abel a look before going back to his phone and polishing off his drink then refilling it.

“Why do you hate her so much?” I asked.

  “Who?”

  “Brielle; your sister.”

“I don’t.” He kept his eyes on his iPhone.

“Then why do you distance yourself from her, and act so rudely.”

“I’m rude to everybody but you.” He kissed me with his cold lips. I loved when he did that.

  “You’re not rude to Jilly.”

  “That’s my sister.”

“So is Brielle. I’m just wondering did something happen. Like, did you guys have a really bad argument or—”

“Nothing like that, baby. She’s my stepsister, not my real one, so,” he shrugged, looking off, “now that my father is dead, ain’t no real need for us to be chopping it up and acting like family still. Nothing more nothing less. That enough explanation for you?”

“Yeah.” I nodded, fixing the collar of his shirt while admiring his neck tattoos. “Let me find out y’all fucking-siblings or something.” I joked, and he tittered, almost like he didn’t find it too funny.

“Only person you need to be worried about me fucking is you.” He took down what was left in his cup. “Speaking of fucking, I’m twisted as shit, so we can hit the telly nearby.” He stood up.

“No, we can just go home.” I got up as well.

Pulling me in, he let me feel his dick on my leg. Its size had me salivating from both lips. He knew I could feel it, that’s why he kept his eyes locked on mine, and his teeth digging into his bottom lip while he felt on my ass with the perfect amount of pressure.

“I wanna fuck now.” His voice was stern, so I gave him a nod before he took my hand to lead me out. “I’m about to hurt yo’ ass.” He looked back at me for a second, licking his sexy lips, before focusing back on the path ahead.

Got up with carpet burns… I just can't help it… Pussy good, it had me stalking her…

Da Baby’s “Carpet Burn” played as the window went up, exposing me to the people watching me through the glass. There were about ten niggas, and all their jaws were on the floor at the sight of me rocking my body in this two piece.

I knew Tony told me not to come back here, but I needed my money for a new laptop and camera. I appreciated how well he took care of me, but I’d grown accustomed to taking care of myself over the years, and I couldn’t just stop.

I continued to dance, feeling sexy even though I was pregnant. My stomach could pass for flat in the right outfits, so that’s what I was wearing.

  POP! POP!

“Ah!” I jumped when two bullets flew through the glass and into the portion of the wall to my far left.

I saw the men scrambling out, before Tony appeared at the glass.

“Bring yo’ ass out!” He growled, anger soaring through his handsome face.

“No, you’re gonna kill me.” I whimpered, not knowing how I was gonna escape.

“I swear to God, Camarih, if you don’t come out.” He paused to reach for something, and soon I saw he had my manager by the back of the neck with the gun to his head. His nose was already busted, and he was crying. What a wimp. “I’m gon’ kill this nigga.”

“Camarih, come out!” My manager yelled. “Ah!” He wailed when Tony clocked him with the gun.

“Fuck you yelling at, nigga? You talk to my girl like you got some muthafuckin sense.”

  “Camarih, please.”

  “And?” Tony added.

“And I will pay you for all the hours I scheduled you for, to apologize to Mr. Wacko for not remembering that you are no longer employed here,” he recited what I was sure Tony made him say.

“Fine!” I spat, angry as hell as I stormed out of the booth.

Tony dropped my manager to the floor, who stayed there, before grabbing me up.

Pinning me against the wall, eyes dripping with venom, he said, “Camarih, I am fucking insane, you understand?” He tucked his lips in, waiting.

  “Yes, but—”

“I’m with the shits at all times. That’s what the fuck that means. So in the future, don
’t do shit to piss me off because why?”

  “You’re insane.”

“There you go.” Tony tapped my nose. “I’m crazy as fuck. Wacko. Don’t pull this type of shit no more or I will shoot yo’ ass on purpose.”

He didn’t need to explain to me how crazy he was.

“Yeah, and you almost actually shot me! You don’t care about me or my baby!” I tried to move but he put me back against the wall.

“I shot where I shot on fucking purpose. I love yo’ ass stupid, fuck would I kill you for? Will I shoot you in the future, maybe, I can’t say, I’m off in the head, but at the moment, nah.”

“What did you say?” I let my frown cease.

“I said hurry the fuck up and come on.”

  “No, the love part.”

“I said yo’ ass is stupid, now come on before I shoot this whole fucking club up.” He started toward the door.

Grinning at the fact that he said he loved me, I happily followed.

  Rubie

  The next afternoon…

Since Armonn wasn’t gonna get his money for about another week, I was trying to see what I could do as far as food. After paying all of the bills, and buying a new dress as required for Mark’s event in two weeks, I was left with $100. We were out of so much shit, that I would be flat broke and still in need.

Deciding to do something I’d been hesitant to do all month, I picked up my iPhone and dialed my father. My dad was the CEO of a furniture store chain, Bailey Furniture. He was balling out of control, and had no issue supporting his daughter. That was until I decided to take on Armonn as if he was my own child. My father couldn’t stand Armonn, and it’d caused plenty of problems in the past.

“Ronald Bailey’s office,” Gina, his assistant answered.

  “Hi, Gina, it’s Rubie.”

“Oh Rubie, hello, darling. How are you?”

“I’m doing alright. What about you?” I leaned back in my office chair, staring at my computer screen.

“Well I’m still breathing, so I guess I’m doing alright.” She laughed, and I joined in for her sake.
