Flash (Iron Thunder MC Book 2) Page 4

I nodded. I liked that idea. The truth was—it didn’t affect me, what he really did for a living. All I cared about was sleeping safely tonight. And I felt I could be safe here.

We were standing close together now. I could feel the heat coming off his body. Flash leaned toward me and I parted my lips. He was going to kiss me again and I realized this was what I’d been waiting for. I wanted to be kissed by him. Held by him.

I gasped when I felt his hot breath on my neck. His mouth was on my skin, sucking…his tongue licking as he left a wet trail down my neck. Down to the buttons of my shirt. He kissed the valley between my breasts and I weaved my fingers into his thick velvety brown hair.

I got that feeling again. The delicious tug between my legs.

“Flash…” I whispered his name like I’d been saying it all my life. He stopped, just as he was about to tug my shirt open. He looked into my eyes hungrily. I didn’t want him to stop! I wanted the opposite of that.

“Tell me what you want, Allegra, I want to hear you say it.”

I was thirsty for him. For more.

“I want you to touch me everywhere,” I replied and he smiled.

He carried me to the bed. Over his shoulder again. I felt light and airy. I could be in his arms…forever? This was just casual. A one night stand with a stranger. This wasn’t to feel like anything else.

He lay me down on the bed and stretched himself over me, so big and strong. His body covered mine and he had me pinned down. I wasn’t going anywhere and it wasn’t like I wanted to either.

Flash’s hands moved over me again. Now, he took his time, cupping my breasts with his large hands and then started tugging my shirt off. He stared at my breasts and I bit down on my lip.

“Wow. They fit perfectly in my hands,” he remarked and cupped one again. He tugged at the front of my bra, pulling down the material so he could pinch my nipples. He rubbed them, squeezed them between his fingers, and then he sucked them. I couldn’t control the waves of passion hitting me when his mouth worked on my sensitive, pert nipples.

Then his hands moved down to my jeans. He unbuttoned it, started pulling it down. I felt so wet, my juices sticking to my panties.

Within moments, he had my pussy in his hand. I gasped again, jutting my hips out to meet him. My back arched. I wanted to press myself to him. I wanted to melt into him.

His finger pushed into my pussy. I felt the overwhelming pressure of him inside me. He wasn’t about to take it slow and that wasn’t what I wanted either. One finger, then two. He had complete control of me. His thumb stroked and rubbed my swollen clit. I felt like I was about to lose my mind. I knew I would explode soon. That was what he wanted, right? He wanted to make me come?

“Allegra,” he whispered my name in my ear and licked my earlobe. His fingers continued to dominate my pussy. Pulsing and thrusting inside me while his thumb wreaked havoc on my sensitive clit.

I had my arms tightly wrapped around his shoulders, holding him close to me.

“I want to see you come. Come for me,” he growled. Our eyes were on each other. My mouth was parted. He kissed the side of my face. His breath was hot and smelled tantalizingly of the same whisky as mine.

“Yes…” I breathed heavily while I inched closer and closer to the edge. His body was so heavy and strong over me. The bed creaked underneath us.

I was so close. I wanted it so badly but then there was a heavy knock on the door. Thud, thud, thud!

Like it was a kind of warning. Neither of us could ignore it now.

Flash groaned and slipped his fingers out of me.

“Fuck!” he growled angrily and got out of bed. All I could do was just lie there in complete shock. I’d been so close to feeling my whole body explode with happiness but now it was so rudely taken away!

I watched Flash go to the door and peep through the hole.

“It’s our MC President. I need to talk to him,” he said, turning to me. What was I supposed to say?

I nodded and pulled the covers off the bed so I could hide under them. He gave me one last apologetic look before he opened the door.

“Drax,” I heard him say and then he stepped out. I couldn’t see them anymore, only hear their muffled voices.

I gulped, staring up at the dark ceiling in awe as I lay there on the strange bed. I had all the covers pulled up to my neck. I had no idea how long Flash would be or what they were discussing. Did he have to go?

What would I do if he said he needed to leave?

I could stay in this room. Hide out in this motel. But how would I pay for the room? I hadn’t checked my purse tonight but wasn’t sure if I could afford it. And what about my car? Billy?

I shuddered at the thought of making my way back alone to the parking lot the next morning. What if Billy was lying in wait for me?

I just wanted Flash to come back, wanted him to return to bed, scoop me up in his arms and undress me again. I wanted to feel his fingers on my skin again. Could we pick up where we left off? Why did this man, this Club President, have to knock on the door?

I pressed my eyes closed and tried to think—think about what I would do. I needed to get out of town. Billy had found me but if I could just slip out of this town without him tracking me down, maybe I’d be safe.

  That was all I needed.

  Could Flash help me?

Or was he going to be nothing more than a few stolen kisses? Someone who was a good example of the kind of man I should have chosen.

  Instead of Billy.

Maybe in another life. If I had another chance.

I turned over to my side and felt those tears again. I didn’t want to cry. I didn’t want to make a scene in someone else’s motel room. The last thing I wanted was to be a nuisance to Flash. But I couldn’t help it. I’d been on the run for so long. I hadn’t slept in a bed for so long or had a decent meal or worn something nice.

  It was too much.

Would it be better to just face Billy and stop running? Let him do what he wanted to do? Wouldn’t it be better to face my dark past head-on?

I lay there in bed, keeping very still, hoping Flash would return and hold me close and tell me everything was going to be alright.

  Flash

“Bolt said he’s been trying to get in touch with you for the past hour,” Drax said. He had a can of beer in one hand and was worrying his ring with the other.

  “Oh, shit, right, yeah…I’ve been…”

“Busy. Yeah. I figured,” Drax said. He grinned and tipped his chin in the direction of my room.

“What’s happening?” I asked. Drax breathed in deeply.

“As it fuckin’ turns out, it wasn’t a hoax. Our store was attacked tonight. The alarms went off and Bolt went to check it out with some of the guys.”

  “Attacked by whom?”

“They found the security footage. The guys who did the damage were wearing masks to cover their faces, but made sure their badges were visible.” Drax clenched his jaws in anger and I knew what he was talking about.

  “Silver Knights?”

“You know it,” he replied and took a deep swig of his beer.

“Fuck!” I growled. I rammed my fist into the wall and Drax cleared his throat.

“Hold steady there, we need you in one piece.”

“I knew this was fuckin’ going to happen.”

“Well, we were hoping it wouldn’t. We were hoping those pissbrains would know better than starting a war.”

“This is bad news, Drax. You know it. Most of our prospects aren’t ready to be patched in or prepared to go into a full-fledged war with another MC.”

He shook his head, his eyes wide with worry.

“Yeah, I know that, but what the fuck are we supposed to do? Make a deal with those motherfuckers? Run?”

  “No,” I groaned.

“There is only one thing we can do; go back and fight. They’re not going to beat us down so easily.”

  “Yeah but they’ll
do some damage,” I said.

“Each of you knew what was at stake before you were patched in.”

“I don’t regret it. I just want to keep everyone alive. I want our MC to continue thriving. I want those ballsacks to fuckin’ leave us alone!” I wanted to kick something. I could feel the rage pumping through my veins.

“We need to get back. Bolt needs us in numbers.”

  “Yeah.”

  “Tomorrow. Morning. We head back.”

I nodded. Drax was about to walk away and that was when I remembered. I hadn’t given it thought yet because I didn’t think I needed to, but some decisions would have to be made. Quickly. Was I going to leave her behind?

“The chick. Her name’s Allegra,” I spoke up. Drax stopped in his tracks and turned to me again.

“That’s rad,” he said and almost smiled again. “She any good?”

  “Yeah, she’s great.”

“You can just tell with the sassy ones, can’t you? When they let their mouths run like that. Great in the sack.”

“Drax, I had to rescue her tonight. From a guy who was trying to kill her.”

He looked confused. A dark cloud came over his face.

“Why would someone try to kill her?”

“Jealous ex. Something like that. I don’t know the full story yet but basically, she’s on the run. Has nowhere to go.”

“So what are you trying to tell me here?” he asked, focusing his eyes on me. Challenging me to actually say the words. He knew this was uncharacteristic of me. Maybe he couldn’t believe it either.

  I cleared my throat.

“Maybe we should take her along with us.”

He raised his brows. “You fuckin’ shitting me?”

“No. I’m not. This guy could find her tomorrow and kill her.”

“And why should I fuckin’ care?” Drax growled. “I have a Club to save right now.”

“Yeah, but it’s somebody’s life,” I replied, trying to keep my voice even.

“Yeah, somebody you want to fuck. You want to keep fucking?”

“That is not what’s happening here. I don’t really know this chick.”

“So she could be lying to you about her ex. This guy who attacked her?” Drax asked.

I let my shoulders droop and nodded. “Yeah, I guess she could, but I’m willing to take my chances with her. I just want to take her somewhere safe where this guy can’t reach her.”

Drax was glaring at me with his bloodshot eyes. I could sense he’d had too much to drink already. He cursed under his breath and then scrunched up the can of beer and threw it to the floor.

“She’s your fuckin’ responsibility,” he hissed.

  “Yes.”

“We ride in the morning. No delays.”

  I nodded.

I watched him staggering a little as he walked away from my door. I waited till he was safely inside his room and then stepped back into mine.

I wasn’t sure how long I’d been talking to Drax, but by the looks of it, it seemed like Allegra had drifted off to sleep.

She lay under the covers, her body softly rising and falling. She looked peaceful.

I wanted her. I wanted to rip those covers off and pick up where we left off. I wanted to feel the warmth, the stickiness and tightness of her pussy. My cock throbbed just at the thought of those perfect tits. The taste of her sweet nipples. I wanted every inch of her in my mouth.

But she was asleep and I didn’t want to wake her.

  What the actual fuck?

Why did I give a fuck?

She was in my bed because I wanted to fuck her. So why was I letting her sleep? Why did I just convince Drax to let me bring her with us?

She didn’t even want to give me the full story. Drax was right—it was very likely she was lying to me about everything. What was she really running from?

I had all these questions in my head.

I knew our ride would have to be postponed indefinitely.

I knew we were headed back to a war zone and it could get dangerous.

I wasn’t going to sleep tonight, but I was glad at least she was.

  6

  Allegra

I woke up and it was morning. I didn’t even know when I fell asleep. The last thing I remembered was lying in this bed, worrying, tearing up because I didn’t know what to do. Because I was tired of running and trying to hide. I was so afraid last night. I thought this was it. Billy was going to get his hands on me.

But this morning, I sat up in bed and found Flash getting dressed. It didn’t seem like he’d been up for long. Had we spent the whole night together? Sleeping beside each other in bed?

I held the sheets up to my neck and sat there staring at him.

“I…you should have woken me. I didn’t mean to fall asleep,” I said in a throaty whisper.

“It’s okay. You looked like you needed it,” he replied. I watched as he did up his belt and then reached for his jacket.

“You have to get dressed,” he said in a commanding voice.

I’d overstayed my welcome. He had to go. I was aware that he and his Club were on some kind of road trip. Was I slowing them down?

“Yeah, of course,” I said and jumped out of bed to look for my clothes. When Flash had taken them off last night, he’d strewn them all over the floor. I picked them up piece by piece and started dressing myself.

I could feel his eyes on me while I kept my back turned to him.

“Last night was…thank you for everything,” I murmured as I did up my buttons. “You saved my life.”

When I turned around, I saw his eyes fixed on me. He had that same stare. Like he could see everything. I had nowhere to hide.

“You needed my help and I wanted to keep you safe.”

I gulped and licked my lips nervously.

“I had….fun…here. I wish we could…continue…” I didn’t know what to say, how to express what he made me feel last night. I wasn’t lying. I would have given anything to be naked with him again. I wanted to know what his cock would feel like inside me.

“We can continue. Not right now, but soon, this doesn’t have to end here,” he replied.

I didn’t know what he was talking about.

“But I know you have to go. Besides, I have to leave town,” I said.

“Yeah, so leave town with me. You want to get away, right? Hide somewhere that asshole can’t find you?”

I stared at him in disbelief. Did I really hear him right?

Flash didn’t seem like the kind of man who would want to have anything to do with me next morning. A girl he almost had.

“Do you not want to?” he asked.

“I…yeah…maybe. That sounds like a good idea.”

“It is a good idea,” he stated. “We’re leaving now and you can come with us. We can take you somewhere this guy won’t come after you. Maybe you can start afresh. A new life. If that’s what you want.”

I didn’t know if I could stop running from Billy. I didn’t know if there was anywhere in this country safe enough for me to hide. But it sounded nice. It was a dreamy idea. And how could I say no to the offer? Flash would keep me safe, as long as I was with him. I knew it.

“Okay, yes, let’s do it,” I said. “But my car. I need my car.”

“I’ll send someone from the Club to go collect it and drive it for you. You can ride with me.”

Flash reintroduced me to the other guys from his Club. I remembered seeing all of them at the bar the previous night when I was serving drinks. Now I knew them by name. Ghost, Spike, Drax…they were the ones who seemed closest to Flash. I could sense a brotherly dynamic between these men. Strong men. Capable. Dangerous. And yet, there was something nice being around them. They cracked jokes and pulled each other’s legs.

  I felt safe with them.

Drax, the President of the Club, the guy who’d interrupted us last night—seemed a little suspicious of me. Clearly, he wasn’t as on board with the plan as Flash was, but he wel
comed me into the group nonetheless.

“Looks like our boy Flash here thinks he’s responsible for you somehow,” Drax said to me as we all walked together to the fleet of bikes parked outside the motel.

I flushed a deep crimson and threw Flash a look.

“He doesn’t owe me anything and I’ve been able to look after myself just fine all this time. I do appreciate the help though. Thank you.”

Drax exchanged looks with some of the other guys but pretty soon, they’d forgotten about me. They were wrapped up in discussing the best route back to their Clubhouse. It would take us a few hours of continuous riding to get there, Flash told me.

I was looking forward to it.

This was the second time I would be on a bike and couldn’t wait to sit there behind Flash. Pressed up to his body.

“You ready?” he asked as he helped me up. The others kicked off their bikes and rode ahead. I looked into Flash’s eyes and nodded.

I was getting out of this town. Not alone this time. For the first time in a long time, I was hopeful for my future again. Maybe Flash was right. Maybe I’d be able to start afresh wherever he was taking me.

He sat in front of me and I wrapped my arms around him as the bike roared to a start. Dust kicked up around us as we skidded ahead and we were on the road. A new adventure. All I could do was smile because I couldn’t believe my luck.

In my mind, I also said a silent goodbye to Hank who had been so kind to me.

We’d been riding for a few hours and I had never experienced anything like this before. Even though I didn’t know these men and barely even knew Flash, it suddenly felt like I belonged to a community.

The sound of the engines roaring together was deafening at first, but very soon became like music to my ears. They raced each other on their bikes, laughed and kicked up dust clouds, skidded dangerously and showed off tricks on their machines. When we passed other cars and vehicles on the highway, I could see the look of fright mixed with that of curiosity and envy.
