Flash (Iron Thunder MC Book 2) Page 6

by Kasey Krane

“Round up a small team of guys we can take with us. I need to take care of something and I’ll join you,” I said.

I wasn’t sure if Bolt knew what I was talking about. Once again, I didn’t owe Allegra an explanation for my actions but I didn’t want to leave for the night without bringing her up to speed. She didn’t know what was going on with the Club, but the least I could do was tell her she was going to have to spend time alone tonight.

I found the three of them still in the room behind the bar. They were talking but hushed up when I walked in.

“Come on,” I said to Allegra. She jumped off a tower of crates and followed me out of the room.

“The girls seem nice,” she said. I was taking her through the corridors of the Clubhouse and finally to the bottom of the staircase.

“Yeah, they’re cool,” I replied. Allegra smiled.

“Don’t worry, I’m not here to make friends and neither am I digging up dirt on you.”

I said nothing and led the way up the stairs. The next floor had all the private rooms for the officers. We used them if we needed to spend the night here at the Clubhouse, so I took her to mine and gave her my key.

“What is this?” she asked, opening the door. We stepped in and she looked around. I could see the way her cheeks flushed; she was trying to not smile.

“It’s nothing great, but the bed is comfy and it’ll be a safe place for you to stay,” I said. Allegra turned to me, her brows furrowed.

“Okay, thank you, I appreciate it, but what about…you?” She bit down lightly on her lip and I took a few steps toward her. Behind us, I banged the door shut and then grabbed her face with both hands. I tilted it up so I could look directly into her eyes.

“You have no idea how badly I want to fuck you.”

Allegra parted her mouth invitingly. She stared at me, watching me closely.

“Then what’s stopping you?” she asked. She wrapped her arms around me, pulling herself to me. I could feel her breasts rising and falling against my chest. I kissed her, taking her into my mouth and pushing my tongue through between her lips.

Allegra gasped and immediately gave into the kiss. Our limbs entwined as we kissed harder. My cock was throbbing. I wished I had the time to turn her around and fuck her right there. Against the wall.

  But I didn’t have time.

So I let go of her and she gasped again.

“Flash…” she said my name breathlessly.

“I have to go right now. Important business to take care of.”

“We both want the same thing,” she said and her gaze traveled down to the tent in my pants.

“And we’re going to get it. We’ll both get what we want. Just not right now,” I replied.

  She gulped and then nodded.

“I guess I’ll just have to wait,” she said.

I opened the door and gave her one last sweeping look before walking out. That sight was going to stay etched in my memory. Allegra standing there in my room, her perfect little tits heaving, her narrow hips, her long legs, her long shining dark hair falling straight over both her shoulders. Those smoldering blue eyes. She was enough to make me stop and turn back around and go claim her. Fuck the Silver Knights. Fuck this war. My cock wanted what it wanted.

But I had a duty, and I was going to follow through on it.

  Allegra

Flash departed but left me panting for more. That kiss, and feeling his hard-on against me was enough to make me want him. I wished he’d just pushed me against the wall and taken me right then. Just a quickie. Just so we could get it over with. I’d wanted him inside me since last night. Since he kissed me and Billy interrupted us. It felt like we kept getting interrupted over and over again. Probably because we were.

And now, I didn’t know what was keeping him away or what important business he had to attend to. Either way, I had no claim over him, so I couldn’t have asked him to stay.

I looked around the room, put down my bag near the bed, freshened up in the bathroom and then decided to go back down. I had no idea how long Flash was going to be away and after last night, I was feeling refreshed and energized. Besides, I was too turned on to get to sleep right now.

I locked the door, slipped the key in my pocket and went downstairs. In the hallway, I heard the roar of bikes outside and looked out to find a fleet of them riding out. Flash was likely amongst them but I couldn’t see him. I saw some of the others.

These bikers in their leather jackets, riding their bikes like they were on chariots, wearing their tattoos like armor—there was so much testosterone free-flowing here. Almost as much as the liquor. I couldn’t help but feel another rush of excitement at the thought that I was going to have Flash tonight.

My very own biker. I bit down on my lip and allowed myself to daydream for a few moments. His mouth on me. On my nipples and pussy. My mouth on his cock. Him inside me. Making me come over and over again.

My daydreaming was interrupted by a girl walking down the hallway. She was in a short tight skirt and fishnets. Her boots had high heels and a red sexy smile curled her lips. I stepped away from the window, suddenly reminded of all the girls I’d seen when I walked into this place.

Was this Clubhouse always teeming with all these women? What was their role here?

The girl passed me by and I rushed ahead.

At the bar, I saw Sophie behind the counter.

Earlier, I’d had a chance to speak to her and Cassie casually for a short while. None of us had shared any vital information with each other. None of us had felt the need to open up. So technically, she had no idea what I was doing here. Neither did I know what her role was at this Clubhouse.

The place looked a bit emptier now, and Sophie was arranging glasses behind the counter and I walked up to her.

“Hey, looks like some of the guys left on business,” I said. She looked up at me and gave a polite smile.

“Flash making you wait for it?” she asked.

  “Wait for what?”

She smiled again and nodded her head. “It’s okay, we’re all quite open here about what goes on behind closed doors. To put it politely.”

I gulped, feeling my cheeks flush, and sat down on a bar stool. I watched her work silently for a few seconds. She knew I was watching her, but decided not to speak. For some reason, I got the feeling that she didn’t particularly like me.

“So does he do this often? Flash, I mean,” I said.

Sophie didn’t bother looking up at me.

“I don’t know what you mean.”

“Bringing girls back to the Clubhouse. Putting them up in his room. Giving them a key and then just disappearing.”

She stopped what she was doing and met my eyes. She looked surprised.

“He gave you a key?” she asked.

My silence was enough of an answer. Sophie shook her head and there was a grin on her face.

“Well, no, he doesn’t do this often. I mean, it’s not that he doesn’t take chicks up to his room. He doesn’t hand his key out to others often, I mean.”

“So you’re saying he does sleep around?”

She smiled wider now. I watched as she put the glasses down and leaned on the counter on her elbows.

“This is a biker gang, doll. These men fuck whoever they want, whenever they want and as often as they want to. Do you get it?”

For some reason, she found it amusing. I gulped. My throat felt dry. Somewhere, at the back of my head, I’d always known this to be the reality. I just didn’t like hearing about it. I didn’t take Flash to be a saint. I had a feeling he slept around, but the way Sophie was saying it made it sound like he was nothing less than a man-whore.

I clenched my jaws and forced my chin up.

“Have you slept with him? I asked.

Sophie’s eyes narrowed for a moment and then she relaxed her shoulders and shrugged.

“Yeah, a couple of times, so what?”

She returned to her task with
the glasses, like it didn’t matter at all. None of it. I just hoped she couldn’t see the way I was exploding. I wasn’t sure how I was going to deal with this. No wonder I got the feeling that she didn’t like me. It didn’t matter how hard she acted like it didn’t affect her, I could bet it did. Maybe it wasn’t that she had feelings for him, but she definitely still wanted him. I couldn’t blame her. Flash was sexy as Hell.

“I just wanted to be clear about it,” I replied, after a few moments of silence.

Sophie looked into my eyes and smiled.

“I’ll make it as clear to you as you like, doll. Flash fucked me and he’s fucked a lot of chicks that come through these doors. You going to let it bother you? He wants to fuck you and he’s given you a key to his room; trust me, there’s a whole queue of chicks who would love to take your place. So, enjoy it while it lasts.”

I felt a wave of anger, sadness and embarrassment take over me. I didn’t know what to say or how to feel. There was a part of me that just wanted to leave. Right now. Get out of here and never see Flash again. The thought of him with other girls…doing to them what he did to me.

  What was I thinking?

  I didn’t know this guy.

Why did I let him whisk me away?

Why did I assume I could trust him?

What did he even have planned for me?

“The trick is to get them to claim you.”

Sophie’s voice sliced through my thoughts like a sharp knife. I gulped and looked up at her, blinking to try and focus on her words again. I didn’t want to hear what she had to say but I had no choice. I had nowhere to go.

“Claim? Who? What are you talking about?” I asked, confused.

Sophie smiled, this time her smile was warmer.

“Look, I don’t really know you, but I like you. You seem nice. You seem a bit lost too, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Besides, you have Flash’s key,” she said and gave me a wink.

My chest heaved with emotion. I wished I could just disappear. I felt so naive. Once again, I’d let a man deceive me with the wrong intentions.

“I’m not trying to scare you,” Sophie added.

  “I’m not scared.”

“Good. Then you should stay and fight for what you want. Who knows, maybe you’re one of the lucky ones, like Cassie.”

I breathed out hard. “What makes her so lucky?” I asked.

“She got Bolt to claim her. Once you get them to claim you, make you theirs…there is no looking back. There is no man more loyal than one of them.”

My brows furrowed and I watched her as she picked up a rag and threw it over her shoulder.

“It’s actually quite funny. There is nobody more promiscuous than one of them, but that is till they’ve laid claim on a chick. Then it all turns around. I didn’t think Flash had it in him, but maybe he does. Maybe you’re going to turn him into a changed man.”

One of the bikers came up to the counter then and Sophie turned to him so she could get him a drink.

I remained sitting on the bar stool, trying to get my thoughts in order.

I wasn’t here looking to get ‘claimed’. I wasn’t even here looking to stay. I was just here till such time that I knew what I was going to do next. I’d only agreed to come with Flash because I knew he would keep me safe. So why did I care how many other girls he slept with? Why did I care how loyal he was or wasn’t?

“You feeling any better?” Sophie asked, coming toward me again.

  “I’m okay. I’m fine. I don’t need my spirits lifted,” I remarked.

  She smirked and nodded.

  “Sure, yeah, whatever.”

She returned to her work and more guys were now starting to come up to the counter. I remained on the barstool, watching Sophie work.

I could see her flirting with each one of them.

Clearly, it was part of her job and her role here. Some of the men passed her bills and she stuck them into the pocket of her hot pants. So, she seemed to make a decent bit of tips here while she worked.

While I watched Sophie, I also tried to decide what I really wanted to do. A part of me still contemplated the idea to leave. But where would I go? I didn’t even know where I was. I had taken a huge risk. Even if I just got my car and drove off, I wouldn’t know where to go. I would have to find a job tomorrow and try to make some cash so I could buy some food and gas.

Or else…I could just stay here. At least for the night. Here where there was food and warmth and the safety of these men who were fully capable of protecting me.

I was lost in thought when the doors of the bar flew open. The guys had returned. I didn’t know where they had gone but they all looked determined when they walked in.

Flash was amongst them, and so was the guy named Bolt.

I caught Flash’s eye. I wanted to talk to him, felt the need to hear his voice, feel his arms around me. I just wanted a chance to be alone with him so I could decide what to do. From the moment we’d first met, he’d had this strange ability to calm me down—to make me feel like everything was going to be alright. That was the feeling I craved for right now.

I smiled at him as I watched him headed toward the bar. When I saw him, I wanted to forget all about what Sophie told me. I decided I needed to speak to him first, discuss my situation with him, kiss him…but Flash didn’t smile back.

“Flash…” I said his name in a desperate murmur when he walked past me. He stopped and turned, with a questioning look. I searched his eyes for an answer. What was I doing wrong? What changed? Had he changed his mind about me?

“I’ve been waiting for you,” I said.

“I have shit to do. I need to speak to Drax and the others. I’ll talk to you later.” His voice was like a growl. He whipped away from me and hurried off to a different room.

I just stood there, staring after him, feeling lost. Since I met Flash, I hadn’t felt like this, but now I thought I was mistaken. Completely mistaken about him in every way. The only reason he had brought me here to his Clubhouse was so he could use me whenever he wanted.

And he didn’t want me now.

I stormed out of the bar and headed straight for the room upstairs. I didn’t know what my next steps were going to be but I just wanted to get away from him. From Sophie and the other guys.

I fumbled with the key to the room but eventually managed to let myself in, out of breath and confused. I rushed straight to the bathroom and locked myself in there. Desperate, I splashed my face with water and stared up at myself in the mirror.

I looked pale, and my eyes looked so tired, I didn’t even recognize myself.

“What am I going to do?” I said aloud.

I thought about Flash and how he ignored me. How he walked straight past me and said he didn’t have the time. To not even smile at me?

I reached for the bottom of my shirt and pulled it up to my bra. I tied it there, revealing my long flat stomach. I wasn’t entirely sure of what I was doing but just followed my instincts. Next, I pulled my jeans down low on my hips. I turned to the side to check out the shape of my butt. It looked provocative like this.

Makeup! I had some makeup in my bag. Makeup I hadn’t used in months and didn’t feel the need to before. I fished out some pink lipstick and green eyeshadow and dabbed it generously on my face.

Once done, I stared back at myself in the mirror. It was like I’d created a completely new person out of thin air. My breasts heaved as I tried to make up my mind.

Since I couldn’t leave this place and go looking for a job—I could do what Sophie did. Work at the bar for tips and hope I made enough to see me through the next few days. I didn’t intend on staying here long. Maybe it would be for the best if I put some serious distance between Flash and myself.

  Flash

“So you got nothing?” Drax growled angrily.

Bolt and I were standing there, along with Spike and Ghost, trying to land the blow as gently as possible. Tonight’s re-con hadn’t
gone well.

  “They’re in hiding,” I replied.

“They’re a bunch of pussies!” Ghost spoke up. I thought he was going to punch a wall, but instead he just smashed his fist into the palm of his other hand.

“All of them? You two couldn’t get a hold of a single Silver Knights member?” Drax continued. I could see how his neck was turning red with rage.

“No. They knew we were coming for them. Their plan was to clearly provoke us and then lie low till we stopped looking for them,” I explained. Bolt stood next to me, shaking his head.

We’d already spent the past hour cursing our luck.

“This is bullshit. This is bull fuckin’ shit!” Drax raged. “We are supposed to figure out what they have planned. We are supposed to counter-intuit them!”

“Maybe if we just give it some time, they’ll come out of hiding to get some air,” Bolt said.

“And what if they catch us by surprise before that?” Drax continued.

“Then we just have to be prepared for the worst at this point,” I answered. The others stared at me, expecting me to say more. “We wait, stay on guard, get the prospects as trained for combat as possible.”

“So we just sit around?” Spike grunted.

“Keep our ears to the ground,” Bolt added.

“Fuck!” Drax growled again. “We should have been here. There should have been more men at the store. More of us. Not the idiot prospects who don’t know the butt end of a gun from their own butts.”

Ghost grinned and the rest of us relaxed a little. This meant that Drax was finally warming to the idea. The last thing we needed was for us to blow our lids and go on a rampage. It would be wiser to wait and see what else the Silver Knights had in store for us before we went on the attack. Our priority right now was to defend our territory.

  “So what now?” Ghost asked.

“Go home. Get some sleep. Keep the prospects on standby and tomorrow, we make a plan,” I said.

None of us liked the idea. I didn’t want to sit around twiddling my thumbs either, but it wasn’t like we had much of a choice at this point. Besides, I needed to take care of the Allegra business. Earlier, she’d looked like she had something to say. Maybe she was itching to leave. I still wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with her.
