She lets out a small yelp and giggles.
As I walk over I feel I can’t be mad at him. If I had fucked up with Sloane, I would be trying to get her back anyway I could too.
Standing behind Dane I put my hand on his shoulder and turn him around.
Dane looks like shit. Seeing him like this it’s as if realizing for the first time that our actions are putting him in a bad way. The dark circles under his eyes are alarming.
“Hey man, we need to clear the air here and then you’re going to go home and getting some sleep. You look like shit, bro.” My honesty isn’t well received.
“Fuck you man.” Is Danes response.
“No fuck you and the shit you just pulled with Sloane. You knew I was meeting that sports agent tonight and you go to Sloane and tell her I’m on a date? Why would you do that?” I seethe.
Dane takes a sip of his beer and eyeballs me hard.
“Man, you can’t blame me for wanting Sloane back.” Is all he says. I stare at him for a moment and just give a curt nod.
“Yeah, I probably would have tried the same thing,” I laugh out. “Listen here Dane, she’s my girl now and your time is done. I heard you and Moxie have broken up, but damn bro she wasn’t good for you any way. Get yourself some rest, start eating better and find yourself a girl who will treat you better than Sloane did,” I place my hand on his shoulder as they slump forward “You need me to call you a cab?” I ask Dane.
“No man I can do it. You’re right. I’ve fucked up on many occasions, but I need you to do me a solid. You, Reese and Riv need to lay off of me on the field, three against one is taking its toll you know?” He’s right. It’s evident that our approach to all of this is affecting him and personally it’s not good for our team to act like a bunch of bitches to our own teammate even if he did fuck up. Not that I had too much in putting him through the ringer like Reese has. That guy will do anything for Sloane, to fuck with her is to fuck with him. I’ll be lucky if I can get him to lay off Dane, but I’ll sure as hell try. It’s just not worth it in the end to mess this guy up for a mistake we’ve all made at some point in our lives.
“You got it man.” Is all I say.
Dane nods and goes out the door. Damn how did I not see what we were doing to that guy. It should have been one beat down and done. Not a daily pummeling on the field.
I’ll need to make this situation is righted and talk to the guys before practice tomorrow.
This all ends now.
I turn around ready to get back to my girl but she’s standing right behind me.
Shit how much did she hear…
“Babe, have you guys been messing with Dane this whole time?” Her eyes are sad yet filled with concern.
I reach out and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and tell her the truth. That we take him down a bit harder than anyone else on the team and that there are a few extra hits to the ribs when he’s down. I regret telling her as soon as her eyes glass over.
“Hey he deserved it, but not that many hits and I’m going to talk to the guys and make it stop.” I tell her sincerely.
“Okay.” is all she says as she bows her head looking at the ground.
“Babe.” I whisper. She keeps her head down and just steps further into my space. Sloane wraps her arms around me and rests her head on my chest.
“That’s enough he doesn’t deserve that kind of shit from his teammates. It’s over, understand?” Sloane tells me.
“Yeah it’s over. Don’t worry, sweetheart,” I run my hand up and down her back in a soothing motion. “Let’s go join your girls and have a good rest of our night okay?” I suggest.
“Sounds like a good idea.” she agrees.
Sloane takes my hand and leads me to their table. Mona and Tala look up with two big smiles across their faces. I wink at them knowing exactly what they’re smiling about. They love knowing their girl is protected and cared for. They know I’ll stop at nothing to make Sloane happy while keeping her safe.
“So, let’s go back to where we left off.” Tala announces with a sudden charge of excitement.
“What was that?” I ask.
“Well, we are planning a girls weekend getaway during one of your preseason away games and we all said what we thought would be good, so now we vote which one we want to do.” Mona informs me.
These girls are so close, they can use one last time away before the late nights of studying start.
“Okay,” Tala exclaims as she digs in her purse pulling out a notebook and three pens. She rips out three pages of paper and hands a piece along with a pen to each girl. “Sorry Asher you don’t get to vote.” Tala says with all seriousness.
I just nod as I watch Sloane write her vote down.
Santa Cruz
It makes me wonder who picked that and what the other options are?
Sloane folds her paper into a tiny square and places it in the middle of the table.
Mona swoops them all up into her hands as the waitress walks by and I flag her down to order the girls another pitcher of whatever they’re drinking and a beer for myself.
Sloane just smiles at me and turns back to the girls as the votes are read.
“We’ve got one for Humbolt,” Mona looks at Sloane as if that was her vote and laughs. “We’ve got another for Humbolt,” Mona reads off. “Last one, as if it really matters since it looks like we’re going north for our trip, but last vote is for Santa Cruz?” Mona says with disbelief. “Who voted for Santa Cruz?” Mona turns to Tala.
“It wasn’t me, Humbolt sounds way more rad with the whole reggae festival and relaxing amongst the giants!” Tala says.
“So, Sloane you voted for Santa Cruz?” Mona asks.
“Well I actually loved both Santa Cruz and Chico. It was a hard choice to choose.” Sloane smiles as Mona and Tala smile back.
“If you’re going to the Humbolt area, make sure to hit up Doobie park. There are some killer redwoods there and it’s on the river,” I tell them. “Oh, and to be clear that’s what the locals call it so ask around where to go while you’re there.” I add to make sure they don’t get lost or call me a liar when they can’t find it.
All three girls smile at me and nod enthusiastically. Sloane has told me that she doesn’t smoke weed, but she has tried it but prefers her occasional getting buzzed over anything.
“Well, it looks as if we’re having our last weekend until school starts up in Humbolt!” Sloane exclaims as she picks up her glass and the girls and myself cheers to their future good times.
Chapter Twelve
Asher
Crashing girls’ night was actually more fun than I thought it ever could be. I’m never telling the guys that though. I was taught things no man should ever know about, yet I stuck around wanting to find out more. We all danced, drank too much, and instead of me leaving after an hour I stayed with them all the way until the end, now I currently stand in Sloanes kitchen. We all are raiding the fridge for food and throwing Reese’s frozen pizzas in the oven.
“When the other guys’ crash girls’ night, are they aware in how crazy you all are?” I ask no one in particular.
“Well Riv is the only other one who crashes and yes he’s known for a long time.” Tala slurs to me giggling. She’s probably the most wasted out of all of us, but at least she isn’t the kind that falls all over the place.
“How come Rylan has never crashed?” I ask.
He doesn’t hang out all that much and when he does, he only chills to where you forget he’s even there.
“Well he’s a goal-oriented person and since he’s not a jock and didn’t get a scholarship, he has to work three jobs and go to school full time,” Tala smiles sadly. “So, really he’s honestly too tired to deal with our crazy.”
There’s no doubt he would. He is a chill dude that can put up with anything. Like on our Desert Moon run he set himself up by the pool with Tala and pretty much observed in silence as all the other idiot bikers that where there have pissing matche
s left and right. Rylan had front row seats for a few fights that broke out there. I, on the other hand missed them all. That’s what happens when all you want is to be balls deep in your girl the whole time.
This makes me look over to Sloane who’s sitting at the kitchen island with her head propped on her hands with her eyes closed.
Even now she’s making me hard.
Suddenly her eyes pop open and focuses on me. She gives me a lazy drunken smile and that’s it, I get up and swoop her over my shoulder as she lets out a yelp.
“Hey where are you guys going, girls’ night isn’t over and we put the pizzas in, you realize we can’t eat all this.” Mona says with some attitude that sounds threatening but you know she’s being playful.
“Don’t worry we’ll be back in ten minutes, right when the pizza is done. Put on a movie we all can enjoy?” I ask and Tala and Mona race for the remote. That’s my cue to take my girl to her room real quick.
I take long strides down the hallway since she’s still over my shoulder. Once I get to her bedroom, I leave the lights off but turn on the small bedside lamp.
“Baby.” I whisper as I lay her on her bed.
She hums in response and she knows what I want. Sloane starts to slide her black pants down those thick thighs taking her panties with them. I couldn’t be happier to see her bare pussy ready for me.
I can’t help myself, I’m drawn to every inch of her so I lower my face down to her center. I have to have a taste. I part her lips and slide my tongue right up her slit. Sloane moans in appreciation which spurs me on to suck her clit. Her hips jerk but I stay on her like I’m a cowboy at a rodeo. She’s not bucking me off, I want her to squirm and beg me to stop until her juices squirt into my mouth and I lap up every drop.
Yeah I’m a kinky fucker and it’s time to start showing Sloane that side.
I continue sucking on to her clit as I slide a finger in. There’s a spot to make her fluids fly so I don’t stop. Sloanes’ pulling on my hair saying she feels like she has to pee. I smile, but go back to business knowing it’s working that she’s right there. I suck harder and add a second finger after a few pumps of my hand she’s there. Her body is trembling as she keeps saying “oh fuck” over and over as if it’s a prayer. I don’t stop, this is where my friends go wrong. A women can come over and over again, I don’t believe in stopping after one orgasm alone. I also believe that the first one can keep rolling if you keep going.
Sloane has expanded her gibberish to “Oh fuck me Ash” but I gladly comply, making her sloppy wet with my saliva mixed with some of her sweet juices. I keep on her until she’s no longer tight, but languid as a jelly fish. That’s when I crawl up her body and slide my bare cock into her warm and extremely wet pussy. Every inch of my cock that slides in feels like it’s getting strangled by how tight she is.
It’s my turn to let out a moan as I enjoy that hot pulsating pussy of hers.
There has never been a girl like Sloane. It’s like this every time and this is probably why I’m so addicted to having her as much as I do. If life didn’t get in the way we would be like this all the time.
I grab her hips and angel her to where I can plunge deeper. Sloane moans and pants as another wave of pleasure washes over her. My eyes rake over her beautiful body as she comes undone, it’s my undoing as well. I fill her with my release as I twitch inside of her.
As Sloane comes back to earth and her eyes lazily open to look at me.
“How is it possible that us being together keeps getting better than the time before?”
I lay on top of her with my dick still inside and I look into her sparkling eyes.
“That’s something I don’t question, but hope it never stops babe.” I whisper. I lean down and kiss her lips softly as I slide out.
“I love you.” I say on her lips as she says it right back.
As much as I want to stay in Sloanes’ room I really don’t want her girls come barging in. So I reluctantly rise off her pulling Sloane with me. I kiss her a few more times before I get dressed again.
“Let’s go out, eat some pizza and catch whatever movie Tala and Mona picked out.” I say with a cringe. I have a feeling they probably picked some awful chick flick that I’ll fall asleep a quarter in.
“I’d rather stay in here, but maybe later we can get tangled up again?” Sloane looks hopeful.
“Count on it babe.” I say with a wink as we turn and make our way down the hall back to Sloanes’ living room.
The pizzas are out of the oven and placed on the island with plates for us to use.
“You two are lucky we didn’t come and get you,” Mona smirks. “Pizza is ready and Tala and I picked out a classic movie Pulp Fiction!” Relief washes over me as I don’t have to suffer through a chick flick. These girls went up a notch in my book.
“Thank fuck! I dig a good Tarantino film.” I say as I pick up a plate and throw half the pizza on it.
Sloane looks at my plate and laughs as she grabs two slices, of course they had a pineapple on them.
“You realize fruit on a pizza is a crime.” I say with laughter and mock disgust.
“Hey, it’s good so don’t knock it.” is her reply as she pinches my arm.
“Ow,” I rub my arm. She got me right on the underside where the skin is tender to any kind of pinch. “Your ass is grass woman.” I set my plate down as Sloane takes off for the couch where Mona and Tala are spread out. She’s laughing as she gains protection from the giant coffee table that takes the up the center of the living room.
I pick up my plate and casually walk over.
“You’re lucky I’m hungry, but I owe you now.” I say with a sheepish grin. The girls all laugh
“Alright you two let’s get this movie rollin’.” Tala motions for us to sit down.
I sat down by myself and ate my pizza and watched Sloane more than I did the movie, halfway through she came over and snuggled up to me, our bodies perfectly entwined. We both ended up falling asleep on the couch and it was one of the best nights sleep I had had since the last time we were able to spend the night together.
A week has gone by since I last seen Sloane. With her building her photography portfolio, getting ready for school to start, and packing for her girl’s weekend she been busy while I’ve been buried in double practices for football. My nights were filled with watching football tapes of last season’s games. I’ve had a few more agents request meetings but after that last disaster I’ve opted to wait till next year to get serious since my ultimate goal is to finish college and not to be a dumb jock.
With not being able to say goodbye to Sloane before she left only made me agitated. Most of the guys didn’t want to be around me when I was in such a shitty mood.
However, I needed a break from football so I decided to jump on my Harley and go for a ride around Lake Merritt. The string of lights around the lake had come on as people filled the streets to walk around enjoying the night. It used to be such an awful place to come when I was a kid. It wasn’t uncommon to be out here and observe the occasional body being dredge from the water or notice unsavory activity happening along the waters’ edge. My mother always said not to hang out around here but with warnings like those I found myself to be where I shouldn’t.
Now this is a family place where nothing happens, but the occasional uptight rich bitch likes to tell people where they can and cannot barbecue. All I can say to that is I wish it was back in the day when someone like her would have said something like that; bitch would have never had made it back to her house in one piece. Society certainly has mellowed the fuck out.
As I make my way over to Old Oakland heading to 14th street to The Ruby Room. I take a moment to enjoy the summer nights air before parking my motorcycle and heading into one of the last dive bars in Oakland that hasn’t been taken over and given a complete make over. Hell, they still serve PBR in a can. It’s also my favorite place to come by myself. The lighting is ridiculously low with its all red lights. You never kno
w who you’re going to sit next to until you’re seated. In a town where you don’t always want to be noticed this is the place to be a nobody.
It’s a full house tonight as it usually is on a Saturday night. The music is always on point here making spending time here easy to where you don’t want to rip your ears off.
There’s a lone bar stool open off in the corner by the front door. It’s the way I like it so I have nobody coming up behind me. Don’t leave your back open is something my uncle told me, since you never know who will come up behind you and try something. Of course- I learned later that meant more for when you were in jail like he was most of the time. Which is where he is now doing a stint in Folsom State Prison. He’s seriously a bad criminal.
It’s funny how I grew up knowing what I didn’t want to be like instead of having adults that I aspired to be.
I take a deep breath, order my beer, and take a look around. There are a few guys that I normally see at the side shows and have placed a few bets with when we were out at the strip, street racing. Good dudes, but I wouldn’t call them friends.
They spot me right off and make their way over as the bartender places my beer in front of me.
“What’s up Asher?” Both Mick and Zach say in unison.
“Hey guys,” I nod. “What’s going down?”
“Not much side shows have been a bit dead lately with the whole takeover of the newer cars that are pieces of shit.” Mick informs me.
“Yeah, I saw that at the last show I went to. Kinda been avoiding them since.” I reply.
“Smart call.” Just then Mick looks down to his beeper. Yes I said beeper. Kid likes to keep it old school which makes me laugh every time.
“Dude you still have that damn battery box?”
“Hey shut the fuck up, bitches be crazy if you give them your phone number.” We’ve had this discussion before but it’s funny every time so I continue to harass him in all good fun.
“What about when you call them? You know most people have caller ID at this point?” I laugh.
