Island Jumper: An Archipelago Series Page 22

I didn’t answer. No words could be formed from my state of mind so I only nodded, wiping some of the water from my face. I hung over Sherri, keeping back from entering her, admiring her body as the mist collected on me and dripped down onto her. Aubrey’s hands cupped my ass, and she pushed me forward and into Sherri.

Sherri moaned out, and I edged into her as far as I could go. Her body moved against mine, and her hands ran along my chest.

  “You’re gorgeous,” Sherri said, breathless.

“Make love to her,” Aubrey said, pushing my ass forward and back into Sherri.

I did, with Aubrey behind me, back and forth. The feeling of being between two women more beautiful than I would have dreamed possible sent me to place beyond the clouds. I was in space, suffocating on them. I couldn’t breathe, and my body felt numb, as if I was on the edge of paralysis.

I sped up, hearing both girls moaning in a surround sound of sex. I reached back, feeling for Aubrey, and found her. My fingers massaged her wet heat, and her moaning grew in volume.

Aubrey moved from behind me and straddled Sherri, facing me, kissing me while I kept my fingers on her.

“I’m going to—” Sherri yelled out, and I felt her tighten around me.

The moment had no brakes, and I kept moving, feeling it building up, and then I released, letting go of everything, and in that moment, I felt as if I could die right then and be happy.

Sherri continued to move against me.

“Oh my God,” Sherri said, as Aubrey got off her and kneeled next to me, kissing my neck.

“You’re so amazing,” Aubrey whispered in my ear.

I pulled out from Sherri and then laid Aubrey down on the ferns next to her. In a quick motion, I was in Aubrey, moving quickly and with force. She hollered out, grabbing my arms so tight I knew there’d be marks, but I didn’t care. Nothing would stop this from happening.

Sherri curled up next to me, rubbing my chest and caressing my ass.

“This is so fucking hot,” Sherri said.

Aubrey’s chest bounced in rhythm as I moved quicker, feeling it building back up. Aubrey screamed out, pulling me against her while her legs clamped against my back. I pushed once more before finishing again in her.

Lowering down to Aubrey, I lay against her hot, wet body. I listened to her heart pounding and her deep breaths.

“Dear God,” Aubrey said, struggling to breathe.

  Chapter 28

The next morning I sat next to the fire, watching the girls sleeping while keeping an eye on everything else. I had pulled the morning shift, and it was my favorite. There was something about seeing the sunrise. It brought light into the world of darkness. It let me see in greater detail the beauty of the women as they dreamed.

Kara stirred again, as if she was having a nightmare, then fell still again.

Benji opened her eyes just as I was staring at her. I smiled, and she smiled back, moving away from her sisters in a careful manner and getting off the platform with skill and stealth. None of the other women woke or even stirred as she crossed the sand and sat next to me.

The fire had a little heat left in it, but the sun was rising and would soon warm us all.

  “Morning,” Benji whispered.

“Morning,” I said. “You sleep okay?”

“Yeah, I had a wonderful dream. We were all sailing on this ship, and we were all so happy to have you and each other.”

  “Sounds nice,” I whispered.

“It was,” Benji said, so low I barely heard her.

  “You doing okay?” I asked.

  “Yeah, I’m good. You?”

“I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life.”

  “I feel a but coming.”

“But every time I have a moment of silence like this, I question this place and what it really is and even who we are.”

  “What do you mean?”

“I mean, how is it that I can feel the animals’ emotions? They come at me in colors, shapes, temperatures, and somehow I understand what they mean,” I said, trying to explain something I didn’t totally understand myself. “But I don’t feel anything from you guys. It doesn’t make sense, and I wonder if it’s real.”

She took my hand in hers. “We’re real, Jack Sawyer. You’re real.”

“You have a power as well, don’t you?”

She took her hand back and set it on her knee. “You’re talking about the cave yesterday, aren’t you?”

“Yes,” I said. “What you did was incredible and… impossible.”

She smiled and said, “When I was face to face with you in that tunnel, I was sure I was going to have to watch you die. At that moment, I just lost it. I touched the stone, and I felt it, like really felt it, as if I was connected to it in some way. I felt the hardness, the smoothness and the weaknesses in the rock, and I commanded it to move, because if it didn’t, you were going to die.”

I took her hand back. “Thank you,” I said. “I think this island has given us more than we realize. I think when we landed here, we each got a gift, but some of us just haven’t tapped into it yet. I’ve seen Aubrey with the air, she seems connected to it even if she’ll never admit it, while Kara seems connected to the islands herself. I think that’s why Yin Island affected her as much as it did.”

  “And Sherri?”

“I’m not sure,” I said, and then laughed. “I’m not sure of any of it, but I do know that we are here, and we’re going to keep thriving.”

  “Even Moshe?” Benji asked.

“Especially Moshe. That tiny fur ball saved my life and took on a whale.”

“Are you two going to be fucking soon?” Aubrey asked. “I can’t pretend to be sleeping for much longer.”

Benji took her hand back and hints of color hit her cheeks.

Aubrey sat up. “Sorry guys, just not a morning person.”

  “Good morning,” I said.

The rest of the girls got up as well, and they made their way to the fire pit. The five of us, and one cat, sat in the circle, watching the smoke rise from the embers and get carried away in the soft breeze. The sun had risen enough to color the sky in a soft glow.

“What’s the plan for today, Jack?” Sherri asked.

I looked at the forest and then the ocean. I felt something out there. Something new, and it was near the shore, hiding below the waves and watching us. I sighed and looked toward the empty forest, and then at the raft, the crappy shelter, and the weapons we had created, and felt pride in it all, because it had gotten us to this point. I had a feeling the islands were going to be stepping up their game, and we’d have to be doing the same in some survival arms race that our very lives depended on winning. We had to go bigger and better, because what I planned on doing would require it.

We had miles to go, and I knew that the tougher days were ahead. We would need to travel further and to new islands. We were going to have to explore in order to save them.

“Today we start building for tomorrow. And tomorrow, we find your sisters.”
