“Don’t think about it.” Baird started herding them toward the front door, the one that led to plain old Portland instead of quests on the far side of the globe. “Lord knows I’m trying my best not to.”
“And that’s a wrap,” Stone said. “See you folks on the other side of some serious R&R.”
“Ahem.”
Jenkins cleared his throat loudly. Turning around, Baird and the others saw him emerging from a discreetly unobtrusive supply closet with an assortment of brooms and mops. He regarded their dismayed expressions with bemusement.
“What?” he asked. “We still have to clean up after the goose.”
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
The third season of The Librarians has just wrapped filming, even as I’m finishing up this, my second novel based on the television series, so it strikes me as the ideal time to give credit where credit is due.
Thanks to my editor, Christopher Morgan, and my other friends and colleagues at Tor Books, whom I’m proud to have been associated with for even longer than Flynn Carsen has worked for the Library.
Thanks also to Dean Devlin, John Rogers, Rachel Olschan-Wilson, and the whole crew at Electric Entertainment for allowing me to play in their sandbox and for all their help and cooperation along the way. I’ve been a big fan of the series and its characters since that first “Quest for the Spear” way back in 2004 and am looking forward to enjoying the Librarians’ future onscreen adventures.
I’m also grateful to my agent, Russell Galen, for handling the contractual end of things with his customary aplomb. And, as always, I’m thankful for my girlfriend, Karen, for her ceaseless support, and for her willingness to listen to me ramble on about Mother Goose for months on end. And I’m thankful for our sweet dog, Lyla, who sadly passed away during the writing of this book, after sharing our home and lives for ten precious years, and for her feline big sister, Sophie, who is still very much with us.
On to Book Three…!
