“No, I’m not okay.” She slumps down into the living room chair and covers her eyes with her arm.

I share a concerned look with Keane then walk over and sit on the arm of the chair. “What’s going on?”

She pulls her arm off her face and meets my gaze. “I’m finally in love with someone and now we’re both competing for the same job.” Tears well in her eyes.

I look at Keane, unsure of what to say, and he raises his hands and shakes his head. This scenario definitely isn’t one of her romance novels.

Marlowe’s book, Good on Paper, is coming but first up is Oliver’s best friend, Dr. Nick Ryan in a fake-marriage, second chance romance, Don’t Mind if “I Do”!

  Deep Thoughts

Back when I was writing Hit or Miss, the first book in the Love in Apartment 3B series, Keane and Fiona’s relationship jumped off the page for me and I couldn’t wait until it was time to write their book.

These two are very different people and yet there was something special between them. I think my favorite part of writing this book was Fiona’s discovery of Keane not being who she thought he was. For years she bought into the mask he portrayed without looking deeper, but once she saw a glimpse of what was under there she realized she may have been wrong all along.

I can’t help but wonder how true that is for the rest of us as we go about our lives. How many people have we gotten the wrong impression of. How many people have we not looked beneath the surface of what they WANT us to see? Because the truth is that being vulnerable is HARD. And there needs to be a certain level of trust first before most people are willing to put themselves out there. With that, thanks for attending my TED talk. LOL

I’m excited to write Marlowe’s story next, the resident romantic who’s been let down time and time again. Poor thing. Don’t worry, I’ll make it right for her.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank everyone who helped me create this book—my line editor, proofreader, cover designer and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for help in getting another book out into the world!

And thank you to you for reading! It’s tough being a baby writer with a new pen name and I appreciate you giving this story a try!
