Broken Scars Page 30

by J. M. Walker

He covered my pussy in a rough move. It was so hard, I could feel him reaching for my soul. I cried out, latching on to his hair and pulled him forward. I was greedy for him. Although we had been together for quite a while, this was different.

Truths were revealed. Our emotions were raw and stripped. This wasn’t us making love. No. This was us claiming each other.

He snarled, shook his head, and shoved his tongue deep inside me.

I whimpered, thrusting up and up.

Lucas groaned, his eyes rolling into the back of his head. He cupped my ass, lifting me and holding me in place.

“God, Lucas,” I sobbed, a fast release snapping through me. But it didn’t make him stop. I shook. I ached. I trembled. My inner thighs burned. My clit throbbed. It only seemed to make him eat me harder. “I…” A violent scream shattered from my lips as another release rolled through me.

He grunted his approval and flipped me onto my stomach, keeping his mouth on my center.

I pushed back against his face, gripping the blankets beneath me. “Please, Lucas. I can’t…”

He released me with a wet smack, landing a hard blow against my ass. His mouth covered my clit, sucking it between his teeth.

A sob escaped me. “Fuck me, Lucas. Please, God, fuck me.”

But he didn’t. His mouth moved over me. Sucking. Licking. Biting. He covered every inch until I was an aching mess for him.

Spreading my legs wider, I squeezed my eyes shut and waited when something warm and wet moved over the tight little spot between the cheeks of my ass. My eyes popped open, a soft gasp leaving me. His tongue stroked and licked, forcing that pleasure higher and higher. It pushed into me, licking a part that had never been touched by another person before.

“Fuck,” I whispered, shaking against him.

Lucas groaned, growled, and snarled. The animalistic sounds leaving him only turned me on even more.

“Lucas,” I cried out, a third orgasm trembling through me.

He finally released me, placing a soft peck on my tailbone.

“Please, fuck me,” I whined, my body still shaking.

“Nah, baby. I just wanted to eat your pussy.” His tongue slid back into that tight little rim. “And your ass.”

I shivered. “Fuck me, Lucas. Please. I can’t take it anymore.”

“I thought we weren’t having sex.” He towered over me, resting one elbow on the mattress. He placed a soft peck on my shoulder and held my wrists in his other hand.

  “Please,” I whispered.

He pushed into me, reaching between us and lining his cock up with my soaked center. But much to my surprise, he ran it over the spot between the cheeks of my ass.

  I shivered.

“Tell me no, Lily,” he murmured, kissing the spot beneath my ear.

  “Never,” I whispered.

“That’s my girl.” He chuckled, pushing into me.

My eyes widened, my body heating. “More.”

“Fuck, you’re a dirty little thing.” In a hard move, he thrust all of his cock into me.

I cried out, a sob wracking through me.

“Shhh…” He crooned. “Give it a second.”

“I feel so full,” I panted.

“My cock’s in your ass, Lily.” He pulled out and thrust forward. “Of course you feel full.”

“God. Harder. Please.” I pushed onto all fours and met him thrust for every delicious thrust.

We worked up a rhythm, the sounds of our pleasure erupting through the room.

“You’re so damn tight,” he groaned, digging his fingers into the cheeks of my ass.

“Lucas,” I screamed, a fast release shattering through me.

He grunted, pushing me forward onto my stomach. Slamming his pelvis against my ass, he took everything he wanted and unleashed his powerful wrath on me. He was animalistic in the way he took control. Dominant in the way he forced my hand in the submission he craved.

“Fuck,” he growled, sinking his teeth into the back of my neck. His hot breath washed over me. Running his hands up the sides of my body, he linked our hands, holding them above my head and against the mattress. “So good, baby. So fucking good.” His cock swelled, spilling his seed deep into my body.

I sighed, taking every last drop and making it mine.

“You okay?” he asked, pulling free from my body.

My heart warmed at the concern in Lucas’s voice. “I am.” I rolled over onto my back and moved up the bed before leaning against the headboard. “I’m more than okay. I feel you. All through me. I’ve never felt so…”

  “What?”

  “Owned.”

  His cock jumped.

I held my arms out. “Lay with me.”

“It’s almost four in the morning.” Lucas yawned. “Let me clean you up.” He went to the bathroom and came back a moment later with a cloth in hand.

“I’m not tired but you can sleep.” Truth was, I was wired. Beyond wired in fact.

Lucas knelt on the bed. “I’ll hurt you.”

  “No, you won’t. Come here.”

“Let me clean you up first.” He placed a soft peck on my forehead, dipping the cloth between my legs and brushing it over my properly used center. He dipped it lower.

I gasped, arching into him and spread my legs.

  He chuckled. “Like that?”

  “Oh yeah.” I shivered.

All too soon, he pulled his hand away and disposed of the cloth in the laundry hamper.

“Now will you lay with me?” I asked, reaching my arms out for him again.

He crawled onto the bed and laid on his stomach, his head resting against my chest. I pulled the blankets up and over us, running my hands in soothing circles over his upper back. His breathing evened.

“I got you, Lucas,” I whispered. “I’m not going anywhere.”

“I love you,” he murmured. He shifted, lifting his head and kissing the spot between my breasts. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this relaxed in my life.”

“Good.” I grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV, flipping through channel after channel until I came across a cheesy romance movie.

Lucas didn’t complain about the movie choice. He didn’t complain that I wanted to cuddle and hold him against me. He took it and welcomed it with open arms. We still had things to work through, but I just hoped we were finally heading in the right direction.

  Lily

THE NEXT MORNING, I was taking a shower when the bathroom door opened.

  “Lily?”

“Yeah?” I peeked my head out, finding Lucas dressed.

“Shephard wants to meet up for coffee.” Lucas cupped my chin and placed a soft peck on my mouth. “I’ll see you later?”

“Of course.” I smiled up at him.

“Good.” He pushed me back, stepping into the shower with me.

“Lucas,” I squealed, laughing. “You’re going to get wet.”

“That’s the point.” He covered my mouth again, slipping his tongue between my lips.

“You’re also going to be late,” I said, breathless.

Lucas only shrugged, gave me a wink, and motioned for me to turn around.

I did as I was told, and Lucas took what he wanted from me for the next half hour.

“Now you can go on with your day with my cum deep in your cunt.” He placed a hard peck on my mouth.

“Sounds like a good plan to me,” I told him.

He chuckled. “I shouldn’t be long.”

“I’m heading to the hospital to see my grandma,” I said, going back to washing my hair. “Hopefully she can get out soon.”

“Text me and if you’re still there, I’ll stop by or you can just come to my place.”

“Okay.” Could this be it? Could we be moving forward? Could we finally begin to be happy?

“I love you, Lily.” He cupped my cheek. “Thank you for not giving up on me.” He gave me a final kiss and left the shower.

  I smiled to myself,
shaking my head at the unexpected tryst. My body heated. Finishing up the shower, I dried myself off and got dressed.

Lucas had left finally. I just hoped Shephard could give him some more answers.

Grabbing a quick coffee for the road, I left the house and made the walk to the hospital. Luckily it was only a few miles away and the weather was nice enough, that I didn’t need to take a taxi.

When I arrived, I signed myself in as a visitor at the front desk, and headed to my grandmother’s room.

“Can I please go home today?” I heard her ask as I entered.

“We need you for one more night,” Dr. Proulx told her. “But I’m thinking you should be able to go home tomorrow.”

Grandma sighed, her eyes meeting mine. “Hello, dear.”

“Hi, Grandma.” I kissed her cheek and sat beside her. “Everything okay?”

“Oh yes. Dr. Proulx just told me that I get to spend another night here. Aren’t I lucky?”

I laughed. “You’ll be out of here in no time and back to playing Bridge.”

  She sighed. “Fine.”

“I’ll leave you two be,” Dr. Proulx said, placing the stethoscope around her neck. “But please get your rest, Ethel. You can’t go home if you don’t.”

“Fine,” she repeated, crossing her arms under chest. “So how are you doing?” she asked me once the doctor left.

“Not too bad.” I smiled for reassurance. Truth was, I was damn near ecstatic. The night before with Lucas had been wonderful. I could still feel him. Every time I moved, I felt him all through me. And we talked. Finally. We talked a lot.

“How are you and Lucas doing?”

  My cheeks heated.

  She laughed. “That good, huh?”

“Oh, Grandma.” I grabbed her hand. “I love him. I love him so damn much. I know we’ve had our problems. Every relationship does but…” I sighed. “I think we’re finally moving past it.”

Her smile widened. “That’s how I felt about my Stanley. Keep that love, Lily. Keep it, hold onto it, and cherish it forever. It doesn’t come around often. Some aren’t lucky enough to have it. You do. So keep it.”

“Oh I will. There’s been some…issues but I think we’re moving in the right direction.” Or I hoped we were anyway.

“No one ever said relationships were easy. I remember a time when your grandfather went out for coffee with an ex-girlfriend. He was being polite, and they had been friends first anyway, so I thought nothing of it.” Grandma snorted. “Well were we wrong. Little did we know that she had a baby and she tried saying it was his.”

  My eyes widened. “Really?”

Grandma nodded. “But the math didn’t add up, so we knew she was lying. Either way, it was stressful.”

“I can imagine.” My heart swelled, seeing the love in my grandma’s eyes that she still had for him. Even though it had been quite a few years since he died, her love for him never dwindled.

“It just proves that you can work through anything. I like Lucas for you and even though he may have a broken past, I see how he looks at you. You are the only one that man looks at.”

My cheeks heated. “You think so?”

“Oh, Lily.” Grandma patted my hand. “I think everyone sees it.”

My face broke out into a grin. “He’s supposed to be meeting us here. He had to catch up with an old friend.” I didn’t go into details. Grandma didn’t need added stress. We continued talking about my grandpa and Lucas and how much we loved the men that had come into our lives when we needed them most.

She had been married to my grandpa for years. I wanted that. I wanted it with Lucas. One day. It was all I could ever ask for.

“Tell me why we’re meeting,” I said, taking a sip of my coffee.

“Always right to the point.” Shephard sat back in his chair, drinking from his own mug. His piercing gray eyes met mine. They were knowing and calculating, but never filled with judgment. It was one of the things I respected about him.

I shrugged. “I have a girl waiting for me.”

“Always about the women.” He smirked. “I like her.”

“So do I. Not that I need your approval or anything,” I threw back at him.

He chuckled. “Listen,” he said, the humor no longer there. “I wanted to give you an update. Killian will be arraigned on several charges this morning. The judge is not a fan of former officers breaking the law they promised to uphold. He will likely be put away for a long time. And last night’s incident, will not be on yours or Lily’s records. I know I told you that part already, but I wanted to let you know that I confirmed, and it won’t be.”

“Good.” I blew out a breath of relief. “Lily’s a good girl. She doesn’t need that black mark on her record because of some jealous fucker.”

“True. You don’t need that shit on your record either though.”

I grunted. “I don’t care about my record. I already have one, but I’ve been a good boy. I’ve kept my nose clean.”

“Either way, it’s not on your record.”

“Is that all you wanted this meeting for?” I asked, raising an eyebrow and placing my mug on the table between us. We met up at a small café in the nicer part of the city. It wasn’t an area I frequented often but the onlookers who stared as they walked past us, made me reconsider visiting more often. Just for shits and giggles.

  “Lucas.”

The hackles on the back of my neck rose. “What do you want, Mel?” I demanded as she came toward our table.

“I need to talk to you.” Her gaze flicked between Shephard and I. “Alone.”

“Pull up a chair,” Shephard told her.

  I shifted in my seat. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

Mel grabbed a chair from the table nearest us and pulled it between Shephard and I before sitting down. She fluffed her wavy hair, pursing her full red lips. Her deep blue eyes met mine. “You hurt me.”

Guilt resonated on my shoulders, sitting heavy on my body even though she didn’t deserve it. I could be an asshole, but this wasn’t me. It wasn’t how I was wired. “I didn’t mean to hurt you,” I said gently. “But you forced yourself on me,” I said even though we weren’t alone. I didn’t give a shit anymore who knew my history. “You also almost cost me Lily.” I lifted my hand as she went to speak. “No, you’re going to listen to me. You need to move on. We haven’t seen each other in a few years and then we randomly meet at a hotel.”

  “Life—”

“Don’t you fucking say it was fate because it was not. I love Lily. She’s the only one I want. I also found out that Killian is actually Ronny. Did you know about that?” I knew she did, but I had to ask anyway.

  Mel looked away.

“Of course you did,” I said, playing dumb. “Look, both of us were raised in a fucked-up situation. That wasn’t either of our faults. And there was a time where I cared for you. But that time has come and gone. I love Lily. I’m going to spend the rest of my life with her. I’m sorry if you can’t get over that but there’s nothing more I can do.”

Mel met my stare that time, her chin wobbling. Her eyes welled. “Does she know you like I know you?”

My jaw clenched, my teeth grinding to the point a sharp pain sliced up my cheeks. “Doesn’t matter how she knows me. You knew me at a different time, but she knows me now. This is the most important time because I’m stronger than what I was. I’m not him. I’m not that boy you fell in love with.”

  Mel nodded once and stood.

“Stop by the station later.” Shephard reached into the inner pocket of his jacket and pulled out a business card. He handed it to her. “I have some questions.”

She looked between us both, took the card and walked away.

  I frowned, watching her leave.

  “Well…that was odd,” Shephard mumbled.

“Yeah.” I couldn’t help but wonder what the point of that conversation was or what Mel got out of it. I was done. W
ith her. With that life before Lily.

“Do you think she’ll be back?” Shephard asked, pulling me from my thoughts.

“I don’t know.” But I had a feeling that it wasn’t the last time I would see Mel.

After grabbing a coffee, I got distracted heading back to my grandma’s room. I somehow ended up on the main floor, in the emergency entrance section. The signs in this place really needed to be laid out better.

A commotion sounded, pulling me from my thoughts.

“Multiple GSWs,” an EMT stated, rushing a man lying on a stretcher toward me. “Patient is Donny Shephard. Aged thirty-eight. Gunshot wound to the stomach.”

My heart jumped, my skin breaking out into a cold sweat. “No.” I stepped forward. “Shephard.”

They rushed the stretcher past me.

“Excuse me.” I stopped a nurse. “Is he going to be okay?”

“I don’t know, ma’am.” The young nurse followed the stretcher behind a set of double doors, taking all of the air in my lungs with them.

  Lucas was with Shephard.

I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and dialed him but of course, it went right to voicemail. “Hey, Lucas. Oh God. I’m at the hospital, Shephard was wheeled in on a stretcher. He was shot. Please call me.”

I hung up and tried him again, but it kept going to voicemail. I sent him multiple text messages but again, no response.

  “Fuck.”

That voice. I slowly turned around, a sob escaping me.

Lucas was holding his side, blood seeping between his fingers.

“Oh God, Lucas.” I ran to him. “What happened?”

He fell against me. “Mel,” he croaked. “She shot…shit…” He wheezed.

“Doctor!” I screamed. “I need a doctor!” We fell to the ground with my hands pressed into his wound.

“Lily,” he whispered, his face ashen. “I don’t remember her shooting me,” he said through clenched teeth. “I was helping Shephard. Fuck, Shephard.”

“He was brought it on a stretcher,” I reassured Lucas. “He’ll be fine. Both of you will be fine.”

“Lily.” His gaze met mine, forcing my stomach to sink to the ground beneath me. He was scared. It was something I never thought I’d see in him.
