“May, right after finals.” I laughed hollowly. “At least the baby’s timing is good.”
“You know you’re going to have to move out of the house,” she said, her tone sad.
Swinging my legs over the side of the bed, I faced her. “Oh. Oh, wow. You’re right. I hadn’t thought about that.”
“Seems you haven’t thought about a lot of things. Are you sure having this baby is the right thing to do?” Annabelle asked.
A gentle calm stole over me as I contemplated her question. “Yes. I’ve never taken a big risk before, but of all the times to try one, this one seems totally right.”
“If that’s how you feel, we’ll support you all the way,” Stacy said as she leaned across my bed where we sat together and hugged me. Annabelle joined us on the bed for a group hug, and I found myself tearing up at the unconditional support of my friends.
