Seeing that this was going nowhere, and that he tried to warn his cousin about this, Isamu figured he would give it a try. They were trying to use their father's friendship as a key to get her to stop. Not something that she liked or wanted to do. Moving around everyone, we went around and squatted down as he looked down at his cousin. "I told you that no one was stupid and no one would let you do anything. You should have listened cousin."
Her eyes narrowing at Isamu, Hiroko smacked the floor with her free hand. "I didn't do anything wrong you welp! Get her off of me!"
With an annoyed sigh, Isamu closed his eyes as he groaned. "Why should we even bother? Oh what, Uncle Sume going to get mad? I have learned the last couple of months Hiroko, that if he was this big monstrous wolf like you make him out to be, they wouldn't be holding him at bay like they are while someone threatens to rip you apart."
A growl herself, Hiroko fisted her hand and hit the floor with it again. "I didn't do anything for her to do this!"
"Right. I can smell it, and with the exception of Senri, everyone else here can too. The poison coming off the vile. You really have sunk so low Hiroko." Ignoring her growl, Isamu looked up at Kiara and had serious eyes as he let his head fall to the side. "I know she is a liar. She tried to kill your brother. You got every right to do this. But there is one thing you aren't thinking about."
Glaring at him, Kiara still didn't move. "Our father's friendship?"
Shaking his head as he held up one finger, Isamu didn't move. "Naginata in one word. Your mother didn't want to let you start to train with it until after the war. And you love to practice with it. She isn't worth not getting to do that I don't think. With as strict as your mother is, if there is any amount of tension between the West and the South, you can kiss doing that goodbye. I doubt that you would ever be allowed to leave the palace walls. You wouldn't even be able to go and visit your cousin that your Uncle Senri and Aunt Zokeni are having because of it."
Keeping her hold, Kiara was still breathing hard, but her eyes stopped bleeding. "She tried to kill him this time! It's different Isamu!"
"I know that. How about she admits it. She admits it, and you lock them in their room with guards or something like that. You can do that with everyone gone, you are head of the palace right now." Standing now as Kiara nodded and looked back down at Hiroko, so did Isamu. "Well Hiroko? Do you want to tell us all why you wanted to kill a baby?"
"I didn't try…." But then let out another painful scream as her arm got a good jerk. Opening her eyes to glare up into Isamu's stern blue ones she started shaking more. "Fine! I did try to kill him tonight! I want to see him, her, you all dead! My life was perfect before you all were born! I was the center of attention like I should be! You, these halflings are all worthless! None of you should be here! You especially! It ruined my life!"
Still glaring with a growl, Kiara watched as she let the pup up and she ran to her parents, Sume shielding them both as Kisa lifted her and hugged her. She was still so mad right now even she was shaking and she couldn't see straight. "But you try one more thing you wench on me or my brother, and nothing is going to stop me from taking your head off."
A snarl on his lips, Sume fisted his hands at his side. "You listen here you little bitch…"
"That will be enough all of you." Sorae turned and handed a quiet and starring Katana to Takara as she made her way in the room. Moving to stand between Kiara and Sume, as Umarus moved to her side. "You need to rethink where you are at. This may not be my home, and I may not be the current Lady of the South. But I pull rank over every single demon in this palace, Kiara included. You will not speak to my granddaughter in such a manner, or using such insulting words ever again. Have I made myself clear?"
Glancing back at his shaking and sobbing daughter, Sume was livid, but right now there was nothing he could do. Yet. "Crystla."
Taking a deep breath as she folded her hands before her, Sorae nodded. "Good. However, Umarus for the duration of their stay, they are all three to be put in a cell until the return of my son."
Wide eyes full of rage turned back to Sorae. Sume couldn't believe what he just said. It would never happen! "Excuse me?"
"You heard my order."
Looking up with a pale face to the back of her father's head, Hiroko was terrified. First the crazy half dog tries to rip her arm and no one cares, and now a cell! "Papa can they do that?"
Crossing his arms as Sume's glare met with Sorae's he narrowed his eyes. "I will be damned if my daughter or mate are anywhere near a cell. I will go on a killing spree before that happens, I promise you that much."
Taking a deep breath as she stood tall and proud, Sorae was still trying to wrap her head around what just happened herself. "It is the cell or leave. Those are your only two choices here. Either way it will be made so that you, your mate, and your spoiled brat of a daughter cannot get anywhere near any of my grandchildren again. Make your choice."
Reaching her hand out to touch his back, Kisa had wide eyes. "Sume….."
Turing, Sume took his daughter into his own arms, and took Kisa by the hand and headed for the door of the bedroom. "Then we leave. We will go to my tribe while my daughter will be treated like the princess she is. Tell Shone he wants to see his sister to come to us. Without Yuriko and that mongrel he calls a pup."
Once they were out of the room, Kiara let out a sigh as she went over to Takara and her brother, making a face to make him giggle. She would have to tell Isamu later that she was forever grateful for what he did. He had a few good points, and when she thinks about it, she didn't want to have to kill someone at ten years old, especially someone that might wreck the friendship her father had with Shone.
Yuriko turned to Sorae and dropped her head as she gave a gracious bow. "I am truly sorry about all of this Sorae. We figured that they would smart off some, glares and growls. But nothing like what they have done. If we thought for a second that any of them would have done that here, we wouldn't have brought them."
Turning to see Yuriko talking to Isamu and Nyoko, Sorae smiled. "It is alright Yuriko. You didn't know, and I would never fault you, nor anyone else at this palace for what they have done." Laughing she could still see the anger in Kiara's eyes. "However I do believe that with this generation, we have been surpassed again." Looking at her curious look, Sorae smiled to Takara as she brought Katana back to her and everyone else filtered toward the door. "Kurosai and I watched as your generation proved to be stronger and smarter than ours. And now, tonight, the next generation has proven that they will surpass us both. I do wish that Kiyoshi and Shone could have seen Kiara and Isamu tonight, considering."
Nodding as she wiped tears from her face, Yuriko smiled as she gave a nod. "I know that. My little boy is all grown up in how he acts, thinks, talks and what he does now. He has a good and strong sense of right and wrong. I know when we tell his father, he will be just as proud as I am. However I will see you in the morning." She then gave a bow and went to get her son.
Looking at Kiara, Isamu, Nyoko, Chiren, Koto and then finally Katana, Sorae smiled as she sighed. "Indeed. Much stronger than I think we will know isn't that right boy."

Once they were out of the palace walls, Sume stopped for a moment and glared at the palace as he held his mate and his pup in his arms. "We will show them all. They will all get theirs when we reach our goal for you Hiroko. I promise this will not go unavenged."
Tears now rolling down her eyes, Kisa finally saw with her own eyes the level of uncaring that everyone had for her daughter, over the child of a Lord. It tore her apart that she never believed that they would do that. Shone and Yuriko most of all. But now she had to face the fact that they didn't really care about her precious daughter like she thought. "Sume…"
Walking on after he sat his daughter down, Sume didn't even touch his mate. He bonded with her, he loved her. But this is going to far. "Don't tell me that you are actually going to try to take up for them Kisa? After what they were going to l
et that little bitch do? That isn't what a pack does."
Stopping, and making them stop, Kisa let tears flow freely down her face. "It isn't hat Sume. When everyone tried to stop it in the West, I wanted to give them all the benefit of the doubt then. But tonight. Other than you and I, no one tried to stop her. They just watched with glares for my duahgter. The one who had her world turned upside down." She then hugged herself as she closed her eyes as hard as she could. "I never would have thought that Shone or Yuriko would have acted the way they have since he was born. I guess I didn't want to believe it. But tonight….."
With a sigh, the regret washing over him, the hurt and pain from her. Sume moved and pulled a now sobbing Kisa into his arms and sighed as she clung to him. "It's alright Kisa. I can understand to a point how you feel about it. No matter what I wouldn't have turned away from you. For anything. Come on let's take her home."
When he got a nod, Sume then reached down and grabbed his daughter by her waist, and lifted her up to sit on his shoulder pulling a giggle from her as she leaned over on his head. "After all our princess will be treated like she should be treated in our tribe. And one day, we will watch with pride as she takes the title of Lady. But not just Lady of the West."
Blinking as she looked down at her father, Hiroko let her head fall to the side. "What are you talking about Papa? If I am not Lady of the West then what will I be then?"
Smiling into eyes that mirrored his own, Sume winked at her. "Lady of all the Lands. You will be the one Lady to rule them all. With a mate that does not try to take control of it, but instead is in the sidelines and does all he has to do to make sure you stay there. How does that sound."
Giggling as she nodded her head Hiroko smiled a big smile. "Perfect!" But even though she smiled as her parents now talked about how wonderful that would be for her, Hiroko's mind went to Isamu, Kiara, and Nyoko. Children of the other Lords. 'I will start with them. They will all die and their families be forced to wait on me hand and foot. Because I know Papa will make that dream a reality for me. I know it.'
A New Heir Chapter 106
Glaring with narrowed eyes, Motoichi kept his eyes glued to Kiyoshi as he stood at the head of the army with his sword in hand. Each morning for days now he and his men would line up and wait for the other to make a move. Rotating in shifts who stood where. But he was done with everything. It was going to end in one battle today.
Looking down at his mate as he kept his arm around her waist, her eyes fixed on the miko he smiled. "Today is the day my love. Today we take revenge for the death of our son."
Breathing hard, Rinako nodded. She was ready for this. "Indeed." She then turned back to her mate for a split second before going back to the miko as he moved to stand behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist holding her flush against him. "She is with Emiko."
"I know." Bending low so that she could hear him only he smiled. "Take that bitch out while you are at it my love."
"As you wish." She then looked up at him with rage filled dilated eyes. "My Lord?"
A smile for her as he shook his head, Motoichi wouldn't let her move. "Not yet beloved. I will release you when the time is right for you to take her out." Motoichi then turned to the dragons on the opposite side of the cliff with a nod. Turning sadistic eyes to Kiyoshi as they roared and transformed taking to the sky. "This battle will end them all and I will stand tall. I will make them rue the day that they touched my cub."
X
Seeing the dragons, Soichiro narrowed his eyes. He would not take part in the battle like he wanted too. He had to fortify the North and make it his own while Motoichi was away from the palace. "They are with Tikae. With the exception of one or two I think, the dragons are all loyal to Tikae and will follow him. We should charge and keep them pushed back in the passage."
With nods from the other lords, the battle was on as an eruption of yells echoed around as the South, East and West charged toward the North. Sanzo and Imae taking to the sky, Shone and Kiyoshi headed for the cliffs where Motoichi was, and Soichiro went to the side to find Tikae. Each one knew what they had to do. 'I will win this Father. Not to avenge you, but to finally restore peace to the North and end the suffering at my brother's hands. I will take my place as Lord of the North. I promise.'
X
Standing tall and proud as she looked at the cliff that Emiko said Motoichi and Rinako were with a glare of her own. The battle was under way. And she knew Rinako would be coming for her at some point. "It started Emiko. Just let me know when she moves."
Smiling as she nodded, Emiko stood side by side with the miko. "I will. Once Imae takes Soichiro to the sky for the signal, more than a fourth of Motoichi's forces will turn on him. This battle will be ours."
Crossing her arms with a smile as she looked at Emiko, Yokiyo couldn't help but laugh. "And then you will have the title Lady of the North. Lady Emiko."
With a blush, Emiko smiled herself as she kept her eyes on Rinako. "I know that. I don't know if I will ever be able to get used to it though. But Soichiro deserves this. From what I have been told, everyone said he should have been made heir and given Lord by his father from the day he was born, since he has always been more like his father than Motoichi."
Nodding as she turned back to the cliff where Rinako was going to come from, Yokiyo sighed. "I haven't known him as long as you and everyone else. But I do know this. We all get along. You and Soichiro in the North, Imae and Sanzo in the East, Yuriko and Shone in the west, myself and Kiyoshi in the South. We will have years of peace, and I pitty anyone who thinks they can rebel against us." She narrowed her eyes as she took a deep breath. "Besides. We will all show what we are made of. We all have reasons that we cannot lose this battle today."
Nodding, Emiko saw flashes of her cubs as she found Rinako's eyes and glared right back into them. "Indeed."
X
Once the fighting was well under way, Imae turned to Sanzo and glared. "You stay with everyone else. I will be right back I got to get Soichiro and take him up!" When she got a nod as Sanzo turned and flew off with more falcons, she turned Ryu and scanned the battle, smiling when she found him, now jumping up a mountain. "There he is!"
Hearing the familiar roar behind him, Sanzo turned and leapt high in the air, landing firmly on Ryu behind Imae. "We need to get higher Imae!"
Nodding, Imae smiled at him as she tightened her legs. "Hold on!" She then sent Ryu flying nearly straight up.
Once they were high enough, Soichiro tapped her on the shoulder. "Thank you Imae. I will be good from here." Once she gave him a nod He jumped from the dragon, and turned throwing the bomb up in the air letting the boom resonate as the red smoke spread through the air. Landing on the side of the mountain, he raced down and headed for the meeting point with Tikae. "See how you like what happens now Motoichi."
X
Hearing the boom, Tikae smiled when he jerked his head up to see the red smoke in the air. Using the leopard next to him as a spring board, he leapt high in the air and transformed with a roar that sent the dragons against Motoichi, ripping off the colors that they were to show they were in Motoichi's army, to the colors of his father and mother. Taking out some leopards as he went, Tikae focused on the place where he would be meeting with Soichiro.
When he got close enough, Tikae swooped down toward the ground with a loud roar. Catching Soichiro as he leapt into the air as well, then turned and headed for the Northern Palace.
Keeping his eyes straight, Soichiro narrowed them. "So far so good Tikae. Everything is going to plan. Now all we need to do is hurry to the Northern Palace to fortify it and claim the title of Lord myself." Smiling when he heard a throated growl as he pushed faster.
X
Turning glaring eyes, Motoichi snarled as he watched the dragons turn on him after the bomb went off. "Damn that Soichiro! He did this!"
Without looking up at her mate, Rinako was breathing heavy as she kept her glare matched with that of the miko. She was taunting her with her e
yes! "My Lord….."
Looking down at his all to antsy mate, then to Kiyoshi as he got closer and closer, Motoichi sighed as he bent down and whispered in her hear. "Go love. Go and take her head while I take the head of her mate." He then released her and watched as even though she raced into battle, she was the picture perfect poise of elegance and beauty.
He then turned and gave a mighty leap and landed just before Kiyoshi as he glared at him. "You son of a bitch. You cannot win this fight. Once I take you out, your lands and your army becomes mine. Mating with a human. Took a weak old dog and made him weaker."
Tensing his body as there was a sudden surge of purification. The war raged around them. Motoichi's ill prepared men were being cut down left and right. At this rate, the battle would not last much more than a full day. Narrowing his eyes with a snarl, Kiyoshi met the leopards eyes as he insulted his mate. "If you truly think she is weak and in turn makes me weak. Both you and your mate have underestimated her. And it will cost your mate her life."
