The Wedding Party (Hollywood & Vine #2.5) Page 11

by Olivia Evans

Walker squinted and wobbled a bit. “I just asked for something good for a wedding reception. This is what they sent.”

“Jesus,” Anders said under his breath. “Walker, they gave you shroom juice. Again. Do you remember what happened last time?”

Walker blinked once then twice before his face went slack. “Oh shit. I fucked up. Maybe I really should go to a real rehab next time.”

“Should we tell anyone?” Josie whispered.

Anders shook his head. “At this point, I think we should just let it go.”

“I can’t believe this is happening.”

“You know what would make it better?” Anders asked, his eyes flicking to the hall.

Josie lifted her head, her smile widening. “You’re relentless.” He was never going to stop asking for wall sex.

“Come on. No one will even miss us. Look at them.” Josie looked around the room; everyone was high as a kite. Anders saw the exact moment she caved.

“Come on, Ivy. Let’s consummate this marriage.” He tugged on her hand, and they slipped out of the room and down the low-lit hallway. Anders twisted the knob to the office door, his smile widening as he pushed it open.

“Hurry up,” Josie whispered, pushing him into the room before locking the door behind her.

Surrounded by darkness, Anders wasted no time putting his lips to her skin. He wanted to taste every inch of her before stripping her down and fucking her against the wall just like he’d done the first time they’d met. Only this time, she wasn’t a random hookup. She was his wife. The thought made him groan as he cupped her ass and rocked his hips against her.

  “Ivy…”

  “Shit!”

Anders jumped and Josie screamed as the sound of another voice came from the back of the room. Something crashed to the floor as a masculine voice let out a string of swears. Anders fumbled for the light switch, his jaw tight.

“Who the hell is in here?”

As soon as light flooded the room, Josie gasped and covered her mouth, while Anders shook his head. From the moment they’d stepped foot on the island, it had been one surprise after another. But for once, Anders wasn’t surprised at all.

“Told you,” he muttered, cutting his eyes to Josie, but she wasn’t looking at him. She stretched out her arm and pointed toward the other side of the room. “You were supposed to hold out,” she said, her shoulders shaking with laughter.

“You owe me twenty bucks,” Anders gloated.

“Don’t be so cocky. I might owe you twenty bucks, but they just cockblocked our wall sex.”

Anders looked from Josie to Greer and Inky, who were still fumbling for their clothes. His annoyance transformed into mischief. “Like hell they did. They’re going to leave. Right now.”

“They’re not really decent,” Josie chuckled.

“We won’t be either in less than a minute.”

Josie’s eyes widened as she understood what Anders was about to have them do. Stepping to the side, she smiled and opened the door.

“I thought we were friends, Josie,” Inky whined, fixing the strap on her dress. Not that it mattered. They could be completely dressed, and what they’d just been doing would still be the most obvious thing in the world.

Josie leaned into Anders’s side and grinned. “Of course we are. Now, go. It’s your turn to be the stars of this shitshow.”

As soon as they’d cleared the doorway, Anders slammed the door as Josie gasped for air between bouts of laughter. A moment later, cheers and catcalls echoed from the reception hall, Maddie’s voice heard above all the rest. “I knew it!” she yelled. “I win!”

  “Serves them right.”

“You’re just mad about the money,” Anders teased.

“Among other things,” Josie whispered, wrapping her hand around Anders’s tie and pulling him toward the wall. “Now, where were we?”

A smile broke across Anders’s face before he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers. “I’m about to fuck you against this wall, Mrs. Ellis.”

“God, I love the sound of that,” Josie moaned.

  “And I love you.”

“Until my last breath, and even after that.”

Anders wrapped his hands in her hair, their eyes locked with an intensity that sucked the air from the room. “And even after that,” he promised.
