“Don’t let Colton hear you say that. I’m pretty sure he thinks the same thing of my sister.”
The other couple was now dancing beside them, both completely wrapped up in each other, with love written all over their faces.
“Let him think that. I know the truth,” Mason declared with pride.
“I’m glad Chance was able to find Jane a match. She’s so busy being married to the undertaker, she doesn’t have time to bother us anymore.”
“Agreed. Everything is exactly how it should be. Speaking of which, I wanted to surprise you with this today as a wedding gift.” He pulled a key from his pocket and handed it to her.
“What’s this for?”
“Our new home.”
“Our what?” Abigail questioned in shock, staring at the key in her hand.
“I had them put a lock on the front door—I know how much you like to keep things locked up,” he said, recalling how on multiple occasions she chastised him for not locking the doors to his office and bedroom. “I knew how much you hated my place above the bar, so I bought some land from Colton a few weeks back. I figured you would want to be close to Alice, especially once we have little ones running around so they can play with their cousins. It’s not all the way finished, but enough is done that we can move in and finish the rest over the next few weeks.”
“I can’t believe how thoughtful that was of you.” As she glanced over at her sister, she added, “Or that everyone, especially Alice, was able to keep it a secret.”
“What can I say, I’m pretty convincing when I need to be.”
“You sure are; you convinced me to marry you after all.”
“And that was the best thing I ever did.” Mason dipped Abigail backwards, then leaned forward and placed a kiss on her lips.
The moment was perfect, and he knew he would spend the rest of his life making Abigail the happiest woman in the world.

About the Author
Jenna Brandt is an award-winning, international best selling, historical and contemporary romance author. Her historical books span from the Victorian to Western eras and all of her books have elements of romance, suspense and faith. Her debut series, the Window to the Heart Saga, as well as her Billionaires of Manhattan Series, have become bestselling series, and her multi-author series, The Lawkeepers, Silverpines, Belles of Wyoming, and Bride Herders are fan-favorites.
She has been an avid reader since she could hold a book and started writing stories almost as early. She has been published in several newspapers as well as edited for multiple papers. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in English from Bethany College and was the Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper while there. Her first blog was published on Yahoo Parenting and The Grief Toolbox as well as featured on the ABC News and Good Morning America websites.
Writing is her passion, but she also enjoys cooking, watching movies, reading, engaging in social media and spending time with her three young daughters and husband where they live in the Central Valley of California.
