LOYALTY: Takes precedence over all, including well-being.
HONESTY: Never LIE, CHEAT, or STEAL from another member or the club.
TERRITORY: You are to respect your brother’s property and follow their Chapter’s club rules.
TRUST: Years to earn it...seconds to lose it.
NEVER RIDE OFF: Brothers do not abandon their family.
I never thought I’d meet someone who could unbreak me. After the past life I survived, the choices I made, I knew it would take someone special to turn me around. What I didn’t expect was her. She was given to my club, to me to break, and in the process of doing that, I’ve fallen for her. Now the choice has to be made.
Keep her or send her on her way?
Chapter One
I’ll bite his ass. I’ll do it. I’ll claw his eyes out with my long, perfectly manicured nails. I will rip this hot as fuck asshole to shreds if he doesn’t get his hands off me.
“Stop touching me!” I squeal as he drags me from the clubhouse. Another chapter of the fucking Royal Bastards. Not that they’re all bad, but this fucker just stormed in here, talked to a few guys, and then manhandled me back out of here. I know I wasn’t wanted here any longer but fuck this shit.
“Shut the hell up,” the man hisses. I ignore him. Why would I listen to a kidnapper in the first place?
“Fuck off. How about that? Get your filthy hands off me,” I scream once more. That’s about as far as I get when he spins me around and shakes me roughly.
“Listen to me really good right now, Kitten. You aren’t the boss. You will never be the boss. You’re gonna shut the hell up and walk along nicely until I figure out what the hell I want to do with you, get me?”
I shake my head, the defiance in me stronger than normal.
“I will not let you drag me around like some damn rag doll because you’re bored! Now get off me,” I snap trying to push him away once more. A lot of good that does. His grip on me tightens until it’s almost painful. Then I know he means business. That doesn’t stop me from trying, though.
“You know what, touch me like that again and see what happens!” I scream once more before I’m slammed against the side of the building. The air whooshes from my lungs, my head banging off the brick.
“You listen to me, Kitten. One way or another you are comin’ with me. If I have to drug you, that’s gonna make it worse.”
“Drug me? I don’t think so! I don’t use drugs, and the first time will not be with you pumping it into my veins,” I hiss each word to make my point. The man, Demon as his cut says, keeps his eyes on mine. Oh that’s just great. These assholes gave me to a demon?
“You don’t really have a choice in the matter, sweetheart. You’re not wanted here and to be honest,” he says taking a step back to look me up and down, “you aren’t really my type.”
“Well then I suppose that’s a good thing since I didn’t plan on fucking you anyway! Get off me, please.”
“Please?” he asks cocking his head to the side as if he didn’t know I had manners. I wasn’t raised in the streets in case he didn’t know that part. No, I won’t tell him that but still.
“Yes. Please. Please stop pulling me around. I can walk.”
“Will you walk?”
I nod my head and Demon releases his hold on me. Dumbass. I take off running but my six-inch heels don’t let me get that far. His hand snakes around my waist, dragging me against his hard body as he does. Damn it to hell. The scent of his cologne is killing me. Add to the fact that I haven’t had sex in months and this whole situation sucks.
“Asshole.”
“Lyin’ bitch,” he huffs as he drags me toward a truck. I see him reach his hand out for something and then I see the zip ties coming my way. I struggle in his hold but it does no good. He secures my wrists behind my back in those fucking things. Demon pushes me against the side of his truck, my new outfit getting covered in dirt.
“Do you mind? Georgia clay is hard to get out of clothes and this thing is filthy. Couldn’t you have at least had the decency to clean it a little before coming to kidnap me?”
“I’m not kidnappin’ you. You were given to my club.”
“Wait, so you just take girls that are given to you? Isn’t that trafficking?”
“I didn’t buy your ass, and from what I know you’re a club whore anyhow. We share those at times,” he adds as if that makes the situation any better.
“This is bullshit.”
“You’re damn right it is. I shouldn’t be out here in the hot weather havin’ to chase your ass across the parkin’ lot!”
I stick my tongue out at him as he thrusts me into the back of the truck. This is all fucked up. I can’t believe the Maryland fuckers handed me over to the Savannah Chapter. Guess I know why they call them Royal Bastards. They are indeed bastards. Assholes. Pricks. Whatever other names I can come u
p with, that’s what they are.
“You could have asked nicely,” I say shortly.
“Would you have listened then?” he asks.
“Probably not.” With a huff I sit back in the seat and watch Demon slam the door shut. He curses and runs his hand through his hair as he walks back toward his bike. I take the opportunity to make nice with the prospect driving the truck. If anyone can help me in this situation it might be him.
“What’s your name?” I ask watching him for an answer.
“Not supposed to speak to you, sweetheart.”
“You just did. Please, I can’t ride all the way to Savannah with my arms behind my back and in silence. Give me something to pass the time.” I’ll beg and cry if I have to. The guy looks at me in the mirror but doesn’t say another word until we’re on the road.
“I’m Black.”
“How’d you get that name?”
“Prez said I was a dark soul. I didn’t think so.”
“You don’t seem so bad to me,” I tell him truthfully. He could very well be the devil himself and I’d tell him what he wanted to hear just to have something to do.
“I never do until it’s too late. What about you? How’d you get mixed up in the club life?” he asks as we drive. I notice Demon checking his mirror in front of us more than once. Take that, bastard. I got one to talk.
“Long story. You don’t even want to know. Are you from Georgia?” I ask trying to keep the conversation going but not getting too personal. Most of the guys don’t like when you do that.
“Yeah, I am. Grew up in North Georgia moved to Savannah when I was a teen. It’s nice there. You ever been?”
“No. I haven’t traveled much at all. What’s it like?” My arms ache as the zip ties dig into my flesh but talking keeps my mind off them.
“It’s sunny. Beach isn’t too far off. Palm trees and good people. The best seafood you ever tried. You’ll like it there.”
“What’s your prez like? He seems like an ass,” I say.
“He isn’t bad. Now the one you need to keep an eye on is the VP, Drake. That motherfucker is nothin’ short of insane. The light’s on and no one’s home, ya get me?”
“He’s mentally unstable?”
“Worse than that. He’s the devil himself. The man is a blood addict so don’t get too close to him.” I nod my head and make a mental note to stay away from that one. I don’t want any more drama than I’ve already have.
“I’ll remember that. Hey, Black?”
“Yeah?”
“Thanks for talking to me.”
“Not a problem, darlin’, although it’s my ass on the line when we get home. I couldn’t leave a pretty little thing like you to silence.” His smile is heart stopping.
Chapter Two
“Her pretty little ass? Is that right? You felt the need to save her pretty little ass from silence?” Drake, my VP, says as he stares at Black. Black doesn’t know how to respond to him so he doesn’t.
“You fucked up, prospect. Now you’re in charge of clean up after the party,” I inform him. Drake chuckles because he already knows what the party is for. I laugh because I’m an asshole. Black doesn’t say a word, just nods his head. What the hell could he possibly say anyway? He doesn’t make the rules around here, I do. Black turns and walks away as I turn to face Drake. The funny thing about this man is he just lost his shit on Black with a baby in his arms. I never thought I’d see the day that he had a kid, but Evie brought out something in him not many get to see.
“She’s beautiful,” I say nodding toward the baby girl who lies in her daddy’s arms contently. She doesn’t know the monster behind the man and I have a good feeling she never will.
“Looks like her mom. Thank fuck for that,” he grumbles.
“She’s good for you. You’re a good dad, Drake. I’ve been watchin’ you for a while now. Glad you stuck around after her.” He thought about leaving. In fact, he was nearly dead set on it but he changed his mind.
“Evie did that. She knew what the club means to me and what I get from bein’ here. She gets me, brother.”
“Damn right she does.” Speak of the little devil and she appears. “It’s time for her to eat.”
“That baby always gets the tit before me,” Drake teases. Evie smiles and it’s perfect. This is perfect. I would have been lost without Drake by my side. He’s been a part of this club for as long as I have and not having him here would really throw off the vibe.
“We in the clear with the traffickin’ shit?” he asks. I nod my head as I watch Evie walk away and sit next to Cheryl.
“Yeah, we’re good there. Thing is, Royal Devils are havin’ some shit go down with pedophiles over there way. Thought we might get a hand in it. There’s a ring of these motherfuckers gettin’ kids on the internet.”
“Fuckin’ hell. These people are everywhere. You know I’m down, just tell me what we’re doin’.”
“I’m gonna give Murder over in West Virginia a call and see what he’s got goin’ on. We may need backup on this and a little more intel.”
“I like the sound of bringin’ Murder in. In more ways than one,” he chuckles darkly causing me to shake my head. This man and his death.
“Heard that. For now we have the party and I get started on that little shit over there,” I say nodding toward Cheryl. My little kitten is going to break under me, and I’m going to love every second of destroying her.
“She gonna break, brother?”
“They all break. It’s just a matter of how broken I want her at the moment.” He chuckles as I walk away and make a straight line for her. Grabbing her wrist, I pull her from the couch and lead her down the hallway.
“I’m not sleeping with you,” she says for the hundredth time since she’s been here. It’s been a week. I let her have that much time to adjust and that mouth is still running.
“It’s time we get down to business.” Leading her into my room, she gasps as soon as she steps inside.
“Oh my God, you’re a Fifty Shades of Grey freak.”
“A what?”
“You know, the movie and the books,” she says as if I have a fucking clue what that means. I shake my head and turn to face her, her mouth still open as she takes in my room.
“I don’t know what the fuck you’re talkin’ about, but this is what you’re gonna do. When I tell you to walk in this room you will do it and put on that robe. Then you’ll sit on your knees over there and wait for me.”
“Yeah, I don’t think so.”
I spin around, wrapping my hand around her throat as I look into her eyes.
“You will if you’re as smart as I think you are.” She swallows hard, her pulse thumping against my fingers. “Understand?” She nods her head slowly, which pleases me more than she could know. Releasing her throat, I step away and move toward the dresser. Pulling the robe free, I lay it on the bed. Breaking women, making them submit to men is what I do. It’s something I crave more than Drake craves blood. It’s a part of me and who I am. If you wanted to break down my past and analyze me, you wouldn’t find anything. I had a good life growing up. I wasn’t abused and I didn’t have any trauma. I am who I am and I don’t apologize for it. I love seeing woman on their knees at my feet and then I love to bring them to orgasm knowing I’m the one doing it. That’s the end of that.
Turning back to Cheryl, I nod toward her dress. She hesitates because she thinks all I want to do is fuck her and that’s not it. I won’t touch her, at least not in that way until she’s begging me for it.
“I’m not doing this,” she says softly as if she’s unsure of what to do. She wants it, I can see the look in her eyes. I walk over slowly and cup her cheek gently in my hand.
“The things I do to you, you will love. You will crave it and I won’t fuck you until you’re beggin’ me for it, Kitten. I’m a man of my word and when I say I won’t hurt you beyond what you can handle, I mean it.” My words are meant to soothe her and I hope they do. This isn’t a
one-way street. I need to gain her trust if this is going to work, and a girl like Cheryl? Well, that takes time and effort. Effort I’m ready to put in to make her bend to my will.
“Fine but I get a safe word, right?” I chuckle.
“If you think you need one. I won’t push you that far. Not yet anyway,” I tell her. She licks her lips as if she’s unsure of all of this and she would be a fool if she wasn’t. She doesn’t know me that well and I’m introducing her to a world that she obviously has never touched before.
“Gold.”
“Fine but you only use it if you need to, understand? No usin’ it for fun.” She nods her head and walks over in her six inch heels and picks up the robe. Letting the silk run through her fingers she looks over her shoulder at me.
“Why?”
“Why what?”
“Why are you doing this to me?”
“I do this to a lot of women. Not just you.”
“You have others here?” she asks sounding disgusted. I shake my head.
“No. Before you. I’m sure there will be more after you too. It’s a pleasure of mine,” I admit. “I’m paid well for what I do.”
“You sell women?”
“No, I break them. I make them submit and then I give them back to their man. Don’t overthink this, Kitten. You aren’t special and neither are they. This is just somethin’ I do and I fuckin’ love it,” I tell her the truth. Her eyes hold mine before she tosses the robe back onto the bed and crosses her arms over her chest.
“I’m not being a notch on your sadistic belt. You better find another girl,” she snaps as I walk toward her. Running my fingers down her cheek, she shivers, but when I lean in closer and my lips touch hers something else happens. Something in my chest nearly explodes. Nothing like this has ever happened before. What the hell is this new feeling?
