Demonic possession.
He was reading something about negative energies on a website when he saw a link and a brief description at the end of the article. The description caught his attention so he opened the page. Though it was by no means complete, as far as the events were concerned, the information he found closely paralleled what they were going through. It gave him the creeps. There was other pertinent information he came across that he felt he should take note of. He saved them on a notepad application as well as on his phone.
Once he felt he had read enough, Jim pursued one more lead, something he thought of while reading about hauntings.
The history of the land his house was built on.
