As if here fingers were chopsticks, Carmen daintily plucks and holds the small knife out of Selene’s hand before returning to her stance in one exit flip, to stand giving Selene her back; again. Purposely leaving herself wide open for an attack, my new Delta squats down taking Alejandro’s embedded hunting knife where she had placed it; out from the ground in front of her. Still ignoring a shocked Selene, Delta Carmen holds Alejandro’s hunter knife by its point tip, momentarily admiring its craftsmanship.
Now, lowering it, she shifts her stone gaze to Selene’s small military knife up to inspect it as if it held value. Then with a “no, no, no” head nod, she flicks it tossing it away like a cigarette bud. Carmen addresses Selene “Prissy bitch, You talk too much. By the way, THAT is not a knife” pointing at the discarded weapon. “NOW THIS......THISSSS IS A KNIFE.” backward tossing it. To land embedded, blade first inches from Selene’s feet.
Everyone including me is awestruck, mesmerized at how and what just happened. Everyone that is, except Randall. He is the only one smirking sending me a wulf speak “old bitch still got moves huh sis” still smirking. Selene recovers quickly rubbing her wrist briefly. She eyes Carmen then again she maliciously smiles, “So the carpet muncher has some skill”while reaching down for the serrated hunting knife.
She is stopped halfway down by carmen’s dark ominous voice “Selene, is it? I am going to tell you two things only. The first - You can die with honor as a wulf or without, matters not to me but you will die.” Selene cuts her off saying “Fuck your first Bitch. For a good laugh, I am curious about your second.” she finishes picking up the hunter’s knife, holding it in her left hand then crouches, preparing to charge and strike.
Carmen finishes “The second --I will tell you my name as you’re dying with that very knife coming out of the base of the left side of your neck Up to the hilt Cutting off your larynx just, so you fucking stop talking.”
Selene maniacally laughs. “Thinking highly of yourself fucking fag HAG!” This time her lunge is full. No holding back. Carmen meets her throughst, blocks it, with a strike, sending down and outwards. While she smoothly completely rolls into Selene’s throughst. Selene arches her arm swinging outwards coming in low with the blade again. This time adding a knee kick. Carmen drops to a squat position blocking the knife thrust with her left arm bent at the elbow. Using her right arm, Delta Carmen fingers curl inwards, her palm facing up she palms up strikes Selene’s face below the chin. Smashing her lower jaw against her upper jaw, breaking her upper rabbit teeth as well as her nose. This strike alone stops the incoming knee thrust.
Not done, Carmen rolls into Selene grabbing Selene by the back of the head, pulling her forward, flipping her in front of her. Before doing her own one leg roundhouse sweep. Taking Selene’s feet out from under her knocking Selene face forward, down into the dirt. Then with a mid-air somersault, she lands and kicks forward connecting with Selene’s soles propelling Selene away from her. Everyone watches as Selene slides across the lawn with dirt and grass shoveling their way into her broken mouth.
Spitting out grass & dirt simultaneously Selene pushes herself off the ground, somersaults and runs facing back towards Carmen yelling a warrior’s cry. But she is done. Beta tells me “She is toying with her Alpha. Our new Delta could have finished her when she palmed her jaws.”
“How do you know Beta?” my question in response to Randall's disturbing words “She has killed others with that move in the past. Only, when doing so, she guts them open from the stomach up to their throats by using her claws as a knife with her other hand.”
“WTF!!? Your pack are all Psychos!”
Randall Shrugs his shoulders “Some live for the hunt” His eyes ignite with desire “WE...WE LIVE FOR THE FIGHT!” then adds a closing remark about Alejandro. Reminding me of the day we hunted together “Oh by the way. WAIT until you SEE Luna fight! DAT BITCH PSY--CHO!!”
Changing my focus back to a charging Selene who now sweeps a low roundhouse kick. But Carmen, moving gracefully leans in towards her, placing both her hands-on Selene head as if looking to flip completely over her; Then deliberately stops halfway, tucks her legs to her chest, and comes straight down extending her legs straight downward with power now, landing full force dead center on top of Selene’s circling leg. SNAP!!
Delta Carmen snaps it completely above the knee, Stopping it in dead turn. Reducing it to no more than mangled meat attached to Selene. Then pushes off again jumping off her completely landing a foot away. Carmen’s back still towards Selene she now turns halfway to look at Selene from her left side her eyes black no life in them, only death is in her steely stare. Selene’s howls in pure agony. She rolls onto her back then her side and masking the pain, manages to push herself up then stand on one leg. Her eyes glow blue she intends to phase. Carmen stops her with her words as She turns to face her completely.
Carmen’s eye still opal black when she squats, more like crouches low to the ground facing Selene, her prey. Her tone has become bone chilling demonic “Attempt to phase and I will kill you before you finish. I will not allow you to use your wulf as an escape goat. You vile bitch. I AM THAT FAST!” Then Carmen does something that’s completely terrifying.
Before Selene has a chance to react or even MOVE! Carmen rushed in, with clawed hands, dug in her claws and shattered Selene’s hand which held the hunter’s knife. She ends her attack standing behind Selene, burying the knife in to the hilt at the spot she told Selene she would. Then letting her go watching her fall to the ground says “told you I would”.
We all watch as Selene falls to the lawn. Carmen who stood over her leans downwards to Selene. Whose breathing becomes less. We all hear the verbal hiss in her voice “As you die, Selene, allow me to tell who I am. I am the founder of THE wulf ASSASSIN ACADEMY. I am the “LIGHTNING DEATH BETA OF THE CELESTIAL GUARDIAN PACK!!! I AM CARMEN MARTINEZ CABRONA! (BITCH!)”
Selene can’t speak, true to her word, the angle of how Carmen imbedded the hunter’s knife did cut her Larynx. But Selene’s eyes speak volumes. They are opened wide with shock. Before dying, Selene shoots Carmen a wulf Speak comment. Then Selene is no more. She breathes her last breath and lies still. Carmen’s last statement to Selene is more of an evil chuckle “FINALLY, you fuckin shut up.” and she turns from Selene’s body.
Randall laughs as Carmen starts walking back to us. For the first time Carmen kneels in front of us, head bowed “As long as I live. No one will ever threaten my Alpha, Luna or; my family.” She looks to Randall while saying the last part, eyes with a smile and gentle love. Randall looks back at her the same way laughing then goes into his gay Flare bit “ALRIGHTY NOW!! CAN WE SAY CROUCHING GRANDMA HIDDEN DEATH QUEEN!!!” The next thing we all hear, WHACK!! “OUCH BITCH REALLY! YA I am Beta now. You can’t be hittin on me. “
I lean into my new brother-in-law Robert “Fair warning, they always fight, She always hits him, and your mate is a Beyotch. Welcome to the family” Reuben jumps in, “wait I GOT YOUR CODE TEST but not him!!” Fake pouting. Randall Carmen & myself look to him in unison “You will be AA-iiiiGHT!! laughing heading for the packhouse. And some food.
FOREBODING
It is done, I walk over to Alpha Reuben “ALPHA We have to talk.” He looks to me “Delta”. My voice grim “Away from Alejandro...now” he stops talking to the current members who were welcoming Alejandro and Randall and walks away with me. As we walk away I look to Randall and shoot him a wulf Speak message addressing him by title, emphasizing the gravity of what I am about to say “Beta, have them burn her body, collect the ashes, divide them in quarters and spread them across the territory points.”
He looks at me, addressing me with a new tone and by my position eyes glowing “yes delta” and gives the directive. The pack members carrying Selene’s body are surprised at the request, but, begin preparing a pit fire right there. Beta stays to watch and make sure it completed to the letter.
After we get clear, Alpha looks towards (Luna) Alejandro smiling. His eyes ar
e glistening. He is happy. For a moment we both just stand there watching the pack surround Luna with Thom introducing the members. Luna is completely relaxed being himself, smiling genuinely to all. I begin “As she was dying. Selene laughed in wulf speak saying she will be avenged by a REAL ALPHA. Do you know what she meant?”
My eyes glow forest, breaking my sight on Alejandro & Thom, I spun to her Facing her full on. My body radiating murderous intent a growl escaping me as I spoke “No. But I just found my mate.” Again I growl slightly louder than the first. “My last breath will always be spent protecting him. NO ONE WILL TOUCH A HAIR STRAND ON MY MATE!!” Carmen looks at the ground feeling it beginning to get hotter then to me “Relax Alpha” I turn Alpha around to look at the one thing I KNOW will calm him. Luna.
“Look at Luna Alpha. Does he look worried? You need to calm down before he notices.” As if on cue we are both hit by a wulf speak so strong and serious, we shudder from the invasion “Enough. both of you. I know something is wrong. Because you BOTH DISAPPEARED. But for now, I want to enjoy getting familiar with my new pack and family.”
Luna previously talking with some of the pack members with Thom next to him. but now, looks briefly towards us both silver luminescent eyes “Pls.” Both Alpha and I grin slightly towards Luna. Alpha throws his left arm around my shoulders hugging me “Your Right” we say together to Luna. We watch him turn back to Thom who just tapped his shoulder to get his attention. As we start heading back I lean and whisper in Carmen’s ear “Delta you got this.” She gives me a thumbs up as she raises her right eyebrow peeking at me “Did you need to even ask?”
We high five one another, clapping simultaneously nodding in agreement. Smiling, I head back to MY MATE. I knew I liked her for a reason. Towards the evening Alejandro saw our bedroom and loved it. He went to the balcony with Delta to watch the moonlight for a little which gave me an excuse to leave the room.
I guess it was because of the drama my first night in Reubens pack house, I felt uncomfortable. Carmen, now my own packs Delta, was also feeling the same. But with her I presume she was just being cautious as always. She was either genuinely feeling the same way or getting that energy off me. Either way, we both went and sat outside on the upper-level balcony of the mansion. For a moment we just watched as pack members were mulling around below us. I wondered why? To get my mind off things I close my eyes and wulf spoke to mom. “toti” she responds. Her wulf speak is serious, monotoned “I already know, Carmen told me everything.” I sigh talking to my mother as her son, not an Alpha “I am feeling lost again”
“why mijo?”
“It doesn’t feel like home here. I want it to. But I want to go back to Black Bear Mountain”
I wulf hear a gentle sign from mom “That’s because you finally have found YOUR OWN HOME. Your own territory. So, Reuben, we spoke. You have my blessings mi hijo (my son). Reuben & I were hoping to give it to you together. But you can be such a mush sometimes. So here it is, Alejandro we have a surprise for you.”
“I am not understanding? What do you mean? Give me what?” Mom wulf speaks out to Reuben now “Kojak we are together. The floor is yours”
Reuben comes up behind me gently placing his hands over my already closed eyes. He takes me to the edge of the balcony and uncovers my eyes. “open your eyes baby” is all he says placing his hands on each side of my waist, pulling me back to lean against him.
There in front of me on every inch of the mansion’s lawn, are two enormous Banners held by 2,880 Wulves. They Scream surprise, then yell what is on the Banner they are holding up “TO BLACK BEAR MOUNTAIN, OUR NEW HOME” I turn to mush on the spot. When Reuben had covered my eyes, that was mom’s que and she portaled in for the surprise. A single hand touches my shoulder from behind me and a very familiar voice speaks in my ear “Family should always, be together.”.......MOM. I whip around and hug her hard. “I will always be with my babies. It is my right.” I nod, holding her to me whispering my words down to her “And our wish” Mommy gently taps me in the middle of my back to let her go. And I do. She approaches the banister of the balcony. Her tone turns Alpha powerful as she addresses everyone at once with a wulf speak so strong. There is not WAY YOU DID NOT HEAR HER!
“Wulves of both the CRIMSON MOUNTAIN PACK & the Celestial Guardian Pack. On this night it gives me great honor to be here. For tonight we have cause to celebrate. Tonight, I not only present before you, your rightful pack leaders. Your new Alpha, My son in law Reuben ACOSTA as well as my own son, your new Luna Alejandro MAISONET ACOSTA.”
The pack explodes into howls. For a moment mom allows them to express themselves. Then she raises and lowers both her arms quieting everyone down as mom “I also am blessed with honor and pleasure from the Goddess to present a newly established pack by which both its name and its Wulves will we known.” Mom raises her arms in a gesture encircling all the pack. Her voice takes on a stronger, happier tone “From this moment onward, we will be known as THE CELESTIAL GUARDIAN MOUNTAIN PACK!” Again, howl erupts from the Wulves.
Mom turns to us both now smiling. “Welcome home my Alpha & my Luna. She kneels bowing her head. In the next moment, there is a wave rippling across all the Wulves as they begin kneeling, bowing to Reuben and I. Powerful words are said in unison by all, clear & proud “My Alpha, My Luna, MY PACK.” Reuben and I simultaneously look around then look to our family with us on the balcony. Everyone is kneeling with bowed heads. In the next instant, a beam of moonlight reflects down onto the balcony. With it she appears. The Goddess.
THE GODDESS
The pack, including Reuben and myself all kneel bowing to her. The Goddess addresses us, her voice is soft and gentle like a morning warm wind caressing one’s skin “Rise my children. For I too have come to bestow my own blessings and bear witness to this union of Crimson & Sable. As well as accept the emergence of a new pack.” I extend my arms for a hug to Sable and he runs, not walks quickly no, not even running respectfully, Sable RUNS into my arms embracing me tightly, softly voicing “Goddess.” Embracing him I am reminded and ever so briefly, my gazes searches for and finds Estrella. She nods slightly once. Understanding why I sought her. But for now…. We have peace.
You would think at 36, I would know to act mature, nope still a kid inside. Besides, it is not every day you get to see A GODDESS!! As in my dream, she embraces me, and I am home. Her smile is gentle and loving, her arms her embrace as if protected from the world itself. She closes her eyes and rests her cheek on my head as she begins speaking. Her voice tone just like my mothers, soft gentle tender, yet reassuring and full of hidden power. “My dearest Sable against all odds, you have endured and prevailed. As I knew you would. I am proud of you”.
She pulls gently back and away from me and looks to Reuben next “Crimson, you are now whole and will remain so until you both join me when the time comes.” Reuben looks at me with a smile speaking volumes as he answers Goddess mother. His tone reveals strong pride, eye burning embers of forest green and deep devotion having me, now returned back into his arms, “Thank you, Mother. He will forever know I love him, Mother. He is my moon.” She smiles to him then to mom and they both look at him saying simultaneously “yes, we know.”
Next, the Goddess Oya looks to a head bowed kneeling Randall. “COCOA. You have kept and fulfilled your promise to me. Unknown to you, I had bestowed on you TWO blessings, one you have already found” she grins softly while briefly gazing at Robert “and the one to which I now will once again awaken within you.” The Goddesses eyes illuminate for a moment. A light glittering yellowish white fog comes down and swirls gently around Randall. It shimmers, turning slowly in a circular fashion. The goddess voice grows more powerful and projects as she speaks. “To all of THE CELESTIAL GUARDIAN MOUNTAIN PACK. I give to you my CELESTIAL COCOA, the celestial teleporting wulf of the winds, your Celestial guardian BETA.” with an upwards gesture of her hand, it rises.
Everyone stares in awe. Where previously stood Randall, Beta of the Crimson Mountain Pack.
Brother of Alejandro and pack brother of Carmen. Randall the son of Cary, previous Alpha of the Celestial Guardian Pack. Now is transformed into a rich lustered ebony brown colored wulf Broad shouldered, thick bodied, muscled toned. His tail, feet, and neck encasing small swirling, spinning black hurricanes which spin tirelessly from their positions on his body. His once dormant Beta markings awakening, tracing throughout his body, glowing strongly, radiating unparalleled & ferocious power. An opal centered in the middle of his forehead holds a hurricane spinning in its center.
The goddess sights now fall to Carmen. “and to you my daughter CELESTRA for your sacrifice and loss. I bestow to you something most dear to me and to…. your mother.” Again the luminescent fog comes forth, this time surrounding Carmen. Now at the Goddesses command. when it lifts Celeste is changed completely. Whereas before Celeste was an orange wulf with silver flecks in her fur, now before all stood a mist vaporous-gray wulf. eyes glowing neon copper orange, also with an Opal in the center of her forehead showing spirit orbs within it. “Henceforth you will be known as-as CELESTRA Celestial Guardian Spirit Assassin of the GODDESS.” Celestra bows her head in appreciation. As she lifts it, There she is standing besides the goddess, her mother. Eyes bursting with pride she says “My daughter You have always made me proud. I love you” Carmen’s tears come down and she bows her wulf head to her mother. Before she can react, her mother is hugging her giving her peace and she is whole.
