With a growl, Tiny shoved the twink from his mouth and pushed him down to his knees. The kid wasted no time getting Tiny’s leathers open and his, yep, flaccid cock out. Kid didn’t seem to mind though as he squealed and said, “Oooo, I can work with this,” then he licked his tongue up the shaft and swallowed the entire fucking thing down his throat. “Holy shit,” Tiny mumbled. Okay, kid’s got skills, he thought as his eyes dropped to watch the kid working on his dick for a few seconds. But then he looked back up at Blake and…..
“Get off,” he mumbled as he shoved at the dude’s shoulder.
The kids mouth slid off Tiny’s dick, “What? I was just getting started,” he said as he started to move back in.
“Sorry kid, changed my mind,” he mumbled as he tucked his dick away, “Maybe another time. Now go.”
He knew he was being harsh but, well, too fucking bad.
The kid scurried away, mumbling something about fucking closet queers but Tiny paid him no mind. Instead he kept staring at Blake, who was staring right back at him, apparently unaware of what he had done to make Tiny stop.
He didn’t say a word, just stepped right up Blake, slid his thumb through the tear that was sliding down Blake’s cheek, the one that Blake wasn’t even aware was there and he whispered, “Why won’t you let yourself go, Blake?”
Blake stared at Tiny’s wet thumb, his lower lip trembling before he finally whispered, “Get me the fuck out of here, Tiny, please.”
Tiny’s eyes flicked back and forth with Blake’s a few times until he slid his hand down, clasped it with Blake’s and growled, “Fine, but you are talking when we get home, understood?”
Blake nodded his chin once and that was all the confirmation that Tiny needed. He dragged Blake out of that darkened hallway, through the dimly lit bar and out into the parking lot….where Blake took the first breath into his lungs he felt like he’d taken since they got there.
He leaned over, putting his hands on his knees as he took huge gulps of air while Tiny’s hand rubbed small circles on his back.
“Jesus, man, why? Why do you do this?”
“Because this, my control? It’s all I have, it’s all I’ve ever had,” Blake said with a sob as he stood back up and angrily swiped at the tears that had fallen.
“It doesn’t have to be that way, Blake.”
Blake’s eyes squeezed shut.
How many times had he heard those words?
From a friend or a coworker or a potential lover?
So many people over the years had been worried over how tightly he clung to his control and they had all said the same thing to him.
His reply had always been the same.
Yes, it does, I don’t have a choice, it’s who I am.
But as his head came around to say those words, he realized something. As he stared at one Maynard Tiny Murphy, a man who confused him, riled him, unmanned him, excited him and thrilled him in ways nobody had ever done ever in his life, he realized…maybe I don’t have to be this way, maybe I do have a choice…..
Chapter Eighteen
The ride back to Tiny’s place was…..quiet. Neither of them spoke a single word. And that was just fine with Blake because he wasn’t sure if he could’ve spoken right then. His nerves were too raw. He’d never felt so exposed, so naked, so wide open before.
It scared the hell out of him.
But oddly it also excited him too.
Because it was with Tiny.
For some reason, he knew that Tiny would catch him if he fell, he’d hold him if he shattered.
And that was a new and exhilarating feeling for Blake.
His cheek rested against Tiny’s back as the man’s bike glided through the dark streets. Blake made no attempt to try to separate their two bodies like he’d done on the ride out. This time he was stuck to the man like glue….and it felt….right.
He barely even realized it when the big bike shut off because his heart was beating so loud in his ears it seemed to drown out everything around him.
But when Tiny reached back and gently squeezed Blake’s thigh, his eyes popped open.
“Oh, sorry,” he mumbled as he began to unpeel himself from the man’s body.
“Don’t be. I liked you there. But I’d prefer you to do that when I can see your face,” Tiny said as he looked over his shoulder at Blake, lifting an eyebrow.
Blake could see he was waiting for Blake to shut him down, like he’d been doing since he met the man. But he just didn’t have it in him anymore.
He quietly stood up, took off his helmet, handed it to Tiny and mumbled, “I’ll see you inside,” as he turned to walk the few steps up from the garage into the house.
“Blake?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m sorry I kissed him and let him touch me. I shouldn’t have done that. I didn’t want that, I just didn’t know…”
“I know, Tiny, I know,” Blake whispered as he turned back towards the house.
Tiny didn’t owe him a goddamned thing. He didn’t belong to Blake. As much as his body craved that the man did…..he didn’t. He probably never would.
He yanked open the door between the garage and the kitchen and stomped inside.
He really needed to get himself back under control. This shit that he was feeling was tearing him apart and he didn’t like it, he didn’t like it one bit. As much as he hated to admit it, he needed to call Logan and ask to be taken off of his case.
Way to make a first impression.
He stood over the counter, his thumb hovering over his phone, when Tiny walked up behind him. “What are you doing?”
“Calling in. Asking to be reassigned.”
Faster than he could blink his phone went flying across the room, sliding across his wood floor and then he was spun around and an angry Tiny was pinning him to the counter, his nostrils flaring as he took deep breaths in and out, “I don’t know if I should kiss you or punch you right now,” he growled.
Blake really had no answer for him.
Tiny shouted into the room as he grabbed Blake’s wrist and pulled him into the living room. He shoved him onto the couch, “Sit!” he yelled as he stomped over to his fully-stocked bar.
He stood behind it, glaring at Blake, as he set two crystal glasses on top of it, filled each halfway with an amber liquid from a crystal decanter then he walked over with both and handed one out to Blake, “Drink,” he said.
“Tiny, I, I….”
“Fucking hell, Blake, are you an alcoholic?”
“What? No.”
“Then I don’t give a shit if you’re on duty or what-the-fuck-ever. I’m not going to say anything. One fucking drink won’t diminish your mad skills to protect me so just take the fucking glass and drink it!”
Blake took the glass with a small smirk on his face and mumbled, “You really are an asshole, you know that?” then he downed the smooth liquor in one gulp.
“So, I’ve been told.”
As soon as the liquid hit his tongue, Blake’s heart began to jackhammer. It couldn’t be. What was that?” he whispered.
“Single malt Irish Whiskey, best on the market.”
Blake stared into his empty glass like he had seen a ghost, “Not, not, Connemara?”
“That’s the stuff, why?”
Blake jumped to his feet and began pacing, “How did you know? Did the guys put you up to this? Fuck, I barely know them, why would they do that? Is this some kind of test, you seducing me, trying to get me to fuck while I’m on duty?”
“Whoa, whoa, calm the fuck down, Blake. Nobody put anyone up to anything. What the hell are you talking about? You need to sit back on that couch and calm the fuck down.”
“Calm the fuck down, calm the fuck down? Do you know how many years I’ve spent walking into the Last Call bar, ordering a shot of Connemara and just staring at it while I tried to work up the nerve to actually drink the fucking thing and hook up with one of those guys? But I never did, Tiny. Week after week, month after month, yea
r after fucking year I just stared at the fucking thing then paid for it and walked out. Because I was too fucking scared to let go. Too fucking terrified to,” he took a deep breath, “be me.”
“Jesus Christ, Blake, are, are you a virgin?” Tiny whispered.
Blake’s pain-filled eyes lifting up to meet Tiny’s was all the answer the man needed.
His huge six-foot-five frame collapsed into the chair behind him, “Holy fucking hell.”
They were both silent for a few seconds and then Blake started to move past Tiny, “Look, I’m just going to shower and go to bed,” he mumbled.
But Tiny grabbed his wrist to stop him.
“No, Blake, this changes nothing between us, nothing. Well, it does change how easy I go on you the first time I fuck you but other than that it changes nothing.”
Blake smirked at him.
“You’re sure you’re a virgin?”
“Pretty sure, Tiny.”
“Damn, I’ve never, I mean, all the tricks I hooked up with always knew what they were doing. The only one who was ever a virgin was me the first time I went in there. And I still haven’t bottomed for anyone but, fuck, I’ll bottom for you if you want me too.”
Blake’s mouth fell open, “Why?”
Tiny stood to his full height and he cupped Blake’s cheek, “You don’t feel this, between us?” he whispered.
Blake swallowed hard before he whispered, “Yeah, I do.”
“That’s why. Blake?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m going to kiss you.”
Blake Thornton fucking whimpered.
Chapter Nineteen
Kelly’s fingers slid through his hair as his eyes moved between Morgan and Cain, “Someone took out a contract on me? And you accepted it?”
“Yes, just to buy us time, kid,” Cain said as he sat down on the couch next to Kelly.
“Fuck, this is so surreal,” he mumbled, “I don’t get it, why would someone want me dead?”
“That’s what we need to figure out now. Something must’ve happened on one of the missions you did, something you saw, something you heard that makes you an unacceptable liability now.”
Kelly pushed to his feet and began pacing, “Do you know how many missions I did? There were dozens, Cain, fuck, maybe even hundreds, I don’t fucking know. And a lot of them were off-book, I don’t know if there’s any record of them anywhere.”
“Oh, there’s a record, you just need to know where to look. Billy’s on it, don’t worry,” Cain said.
“Do you have any idea where the contract came from?”
“It was high up, someone within the agency.”
“What agency?”
“That, we’re not sure of yet.”
Kelly’s hands clasped on top of his head, “Motherfucking shit! I put my life on the line for these assholes for years and now they’re just going to throw my life away like it’s yesterday’s trash? Those fucking assholes!”
Cole jumped up and wrapped his arms around Kelly, whispering into his ear to try to calm him.
“It sucks, Kelly, but unfortunately this is how the game is played. We just need to make sure we play it better,” Cain said.
Suddenly Kelly’s eyes went wide, “I need access to a secure computer, and the number for a burner phone.”
Morgan frowned at him, “What? Why?”
“I need to call the Vampire.”
Morgan’s eyebrows popped up, “I’m sorry, who?”
Kelly rolled his eyes, “He’s a guy that everybody calls The Vampire because he has no fucking heart. He has no qualms about stabbing someone in the back while he’s fucking them, that’s how ruthless he is. They say he eats barbed wire for breakfast and that probably is the truth. He was my handler on a lot of these jobs. He might know what the fuck is going on.”
Cole frowned at him, “Did you fuck this guy?”
“Justice doesn’t bottom for anybody, not ever.”
“But that doesn’t mean you didn’t get off together,” Cole said as he crossed his arms across his chest.
“Babe, can we not worry about my past right now? We’ve both done shit that we’re not proud of, yes? I heard you just hooked up with an escort just last fucking week!”
Cole had the decency to blush as he looked away and mumbled something.
“What was that babe?”
Cole glared at him before he said, “I said I did call out your name when I was railing him.”
“Oh, that makes it better,” Kelly said with a snort and a smirk.
“I’ve got a secure computer you can use if that’s okay with everyone,” Cole said.
“Let me get Billy on the line, he’s going to want to be in on this,” Cain said as he stepped away and scrolled through his phone.
Morgan looked at Hawke, “Why don’t you run down to the local store and pick up a couple of burner phones for us?”
“Sure thing. Be back in a few,” he said and then he was out the door.
Thirty minutes later they were all crammed into Cole’s computer room with Kelly seated at the desk. Billy was on speaker phone and Kelly was talking through what he was doing online to Billy.
“Okay, Justice works in code only. So, I’m going to drop him a breadcrumb in a chatroom that I know he hangs out in. Kelly typed, “Headmaster misses his Vampire,” and he added the number for the burner phone.
“Headmaster? Really?” Cole said.
“What can I say? I had a reputation,” Kelly said with a smirk.
“For giving good head.”
“Somebody had to, you know, because someone else was busy banging all the escorts.”
“Okay, enough you two. You both have pasts. We all do. Get over it, or don’t, but shut the fuck up about it,” Cain said with a growl.
Suddenly the burner phone lit up as it rang. Just before Kelly answered it he pressed his lips to Cole’s and whispered, “I love you.”
Then he pressed the talk button, “Braddock.”
“You ready to bottom for me yet?”
Kelly smiled, “Not a fucking chance, Justice. You ready to give up your v-card to me?”
The man laughed into the phone, “Hell no. How the hell are you, Braddock? You keeping your head down? I’m hearing shit’s not safe for you right now and I’d hate to lose such a skilled headmaster.”
“So, you’ve heard, huh? That’s why I’m calling, Justice. I need to know what the fuck is going on.”
“Where?” the man said with a growl.
“What?”
“Text me where you are. I’m not doing this shit over the phone. It’s too dangerous, fucker.”
Kelly glanced around the room because he had no idea what Cole’s address was, “Um, yeah, okay, I’ll text it to you. Are you even in the States?”
“I’m where I need to be, Braddock,” he said and then the call ended.
“Jesus, that fucker is weird,” Kelly mumbled as he stared down at the dark phone. Then he handed it to Cole, “Here, text your address to the number that just called.”
“Fucking awesome. So, the guy who wants to bang my man is going to come here. This is wonderful,” Cole mumbled as his fingers flew over the screen.
Kelly turned in his chair and pulled Cole onto his lap, “This jealous thing you got going on is kind of a turn on, babe,” he whispered up against Cole’s ear.
“Yeah, well, I’ll be fine as long as he’s ugly. Is he ugly?”
When only silence answered him, Cole turned to look into Kelly’s eyes. “Oh, fuck, he’s totally hot, isn’t he? Damn it, now I’m never going to calm down.”
Kelly slid a hand down Cole’s belly and clasped it over his junk, “I’ll bet I can help you to calm down,” he growled into Cole’s ear.
“Fucking-a, you two,” Cain mumbled as he stomped out of the room, followed quickly by Morgan and the others.
“I think they’re tired of seeing how I can’t keep my fucking hands off of you. Do you remember when we were kids and I would climb
into bed with you?”
Cole hitched in a breath, “Yeah, I loved those nights.”
“You thought I was asleep, didn’t you? When you would jerk off and press your ass onto my dick, you thought I was sleeping but I wasn’t. And, fuck, babe, I wanted so bad to give you what you wanted back then but I was so scared of my dad finding out.”
Cole’s head turned, “So, give it to me now, Kel.”
Tears swam in Kelly’s eyes, “Are you sure, babe. After everything that happened, everything that was done to you, are you sure?”
Cole stood from his chair and linked his fingers with Kelly’s, “Kel, you are the only one I’ve ever wanted. Take me to bed, please.”
The second Kelly stood, Cole jumped up, wrapped his legs around Kelly’s waist, his arms around his neck and locked their lips together.
Was he scared? Fuck yes, he was. He hadn’t bottomed for anyone willingly, ever.
They had taken that away from him.
But he was going to do his best to get it back now….and that was all because of the man in his arms.
Kelly devoured his mouth as he walked them down the hall and into Cole’s room. He made his way over to the bed but as he tried to lay Cole down on it he found that the man was stuck to him like an octopus. “Babe, we can’t do this with clothes on,” he mumbled into Cole’s lips.
Cole’s eyes popped open, “Oh, sorry,” he mumbled, blushing as he released Kelly from his hold.
Kelly pressed his hand to Cole’s cheek, “Hey, don’t be, babe. Trust me when I say I want you right back where you were the second we’re naked, okay?”
A sweet smile lifted one corner of Cole’s mouth, “Okay,” he whispered.
Kelly reached over to the nightstand to grab lube and condoms and he dropped them on the bed next to Cole’s pillow then he quickly pulled his shirt over his head and threw it onto the floor.
He felt Cole’s fingertips slide over his abs and the man whispered, “Fuck, you are so damn sexy.”
Kelly looked down at his torso, “Yeah?” he said with a smirk before his eyes came back up to lock with Cole’s.
“Oh yeah, even back when we were teens, you were ripped. I loved how safe I always felt in your arms.”
