Fuck—apparently, he’s a mind-reader in my dreams.
“We both are.” Liam chuckled into my ear. “In fact, all you have to do is think about something—and it’s going to happen.”
My mind betrayed me—I thought about the three of us in bed together—and then we were. It was like blinking—one second, we were in the clouds, and the next we were naked on a mattress. Gerard’s cock was thick and throbbing—I remembered how good it felt. Remembering was like another blink—because then he was inside me. His thrusts were furious and made my whole body shake. Liam watched for a moment, but when I thought about the kiss we shared earlier that night, his lips were on mine. Gerard kept thrusting into me, perfect thrusts that made my body ache for the next one while Liam ravaged my mouth. I felt my pussy start to spasm—I was going to come. I couldn’t stop it. My body shook as the waves of bliss coursed through my veins.
“Oh fuck.” I sat up in my bed and opened my eyes.
Damn, that was a really intense dream.
It might have been a dream, but it wasn’t just in my head—not entirely. When I shifted my weight on the bed, I felt a wetness between my legs. I slid my hand down to find that my panties were soaked, and my pussy was tender. I really had orgasmed. That part was real. I shifted to the edge of the bed and took off my panties. My pussy spasmed when the wet fabric was pulled away, and I realized that while I had managed to come while I was sleeping, it wasn’t a real orgasm—my body wanted more. There was no way I was going to be able to go back to sleep without finishing what started in my dreams. I dropped back on the mattress and started rubbing my clit. It was a lot more sensitive than usual. My eyes closed, and I returned to the fantasy in my head—Liam and Gerard. That was all I could think about. I moved my finger against my clit until I felt the pressure building inside me.
“Yes—harder.” I moaned as my imagination ran wild.
I started to orgasm—it was a real one—one that wasn’t trapped in the haze of a dream. My moans got louder, much louder than they should have been considering that I had roommates. I rubbed my clit with quick circles until the pressure was sending currents of bliss through my veins. It felt so good that I didn’t want it to end, but it subsided after a quick burst of pleasure. It definitely wasn’t as good as the one I had with Gerard the night we were together, but he was immediately on my thoughts once the afterglow set in. Even after two years, I could still remember what he felt like—how good it felt to have his cock inside me. But—as good as it was, the man attached to it wasn’t. Maybe he had changed—perhaps he hadn’t—but I needed closure. I wasn’t going to get that by living out the fantasy in my head, no matter how much it turned me on.

Earlier that night
“What the fuck?” I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I heard a crash—then I realized it wasn’t a crash, it was Gerard stumbling into the wall near the door.
“Hey… What’s up, bro?” His words were slurred, and he was severely drunk—so much so that I could smell the alcohol before he made it into the living room.
“You haven’t called me bro since high school,” I grunted and threw off the quilt that was laying across me. “How drunk are you?”
“I’m good.” He grinned and stumbled into the door frame.
“Careful man, you’re going to wake up Rachel.” I got up off the couch and walked over. “Can you aim yourself down the hallway and walk in a straight line?”
“If I could walk in a straight line, I would have driven myself home.” He growled under his breath. “Fucking bartender wouldn’t let me.”
“Sounds like he had better sense than you did. Come on.” I put an arm around him for support.
“I told the bartender he wasn’t my best friend—you’re my best friend.” Gerard’s words were so slurred I could barely understand him.
“Yeah? It didn’t seem like it when you left earlier.” I pulled against his weight and tried to get him to start walking.
“No, you really are.” He smiled and patted my shoulder. “I’m the asshole.”
“Glad you admit that when you’re drunk.” I sighed and motioned towards the hallway. “Come on, you need to go to bed.”
“Oh, that looks comfortable.” Gerard pulled away and half-stumbled, half-fell towards the couch.
“Gerard—fuck, come on man. That’s my bed! Ugh!” I realized he was already out—even before his head landed on my pillow.
“Fucking shit…” I put my hands on my hips. “Well, then I’m sleeping in your bed.”
Of course, he’s not going to reply.
I started down the hallway, but I was wide awake, and I wasn’t sure I would be able to go back to sleep. I had no idea how Gerard was going to be able to make it into work the next morning. There weren’t enough hours left in the night to sleep off what he had drunk. On top of that, he was going to have a hangover that would make it hard to pick his head up off the pillow. At least it wasn’t a regular occurrence—I would have been more worried if it was. Before things got serious with the girl that broke my heart, I was the one who usually got drunk every night. Gerard normally only had one or two drinks and called it quits. Since moving in with Billy, we often just had a few beers at most. I knew Gerard had a lot on his mind, and so did I. If he needed a night of getting shit-faced, then I couldn’t judge him for it. He had certainly given me plenty of leeway’s when I came home drunk as fuck.
Wow, Rachel is a—loud sleeper.
I paused when I got to Rachel’s door because I could hear noises on the other side. As my hearing focused on the sound, I realized she was—moaning. A few seconds later, I understood why. She was masturbating—or having one hell of a good dream. Hearing her made my cock get hard in my pants immediately. I wanted to keep walking but just thinking about her behind that door doing dirty things made me salivate. I wondered what she was thinking about—if our kiss had something to do with her getting so turned on that she had to pleasure herself in the middle of the night. A gnawing in my stomach told me that if she was thinking about someone, it was probably the guy who hurt her—who was currently drunk off his ass in the living room. Whatever it was, she was definitely getting into it. My cock started begging for attention and throbbing against the front of my pants.
God damn, that’s hot.
I pushed my hand into my pants and started stroking my shaft. I suddenly wasn’t mad at Gerard for waking me, because Rachel’s moans were like music to my ears. I hadn’t been with anyone since my break-up, so even the sound of a woman’s pleasure was enough to make my dick rock hard. It certainly didn’t hurt that my body ached for the woman on the other side of the door. It was too bad that she made me stop—I could have given her something to moan about that wasn’t in her head. As my hand moved up and down my length, I thought about the kiss—her perfect curves—the way she looked earlier that morning when she came back from her run. It was a kaleidoscope of images mixing with memories, but every one of them was sweet nirvana. I wanted her so fucking bad—if she let me close again, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to stop without driving myself mad.
Oh god—I’m going to come.
I thought about rushing to the bathroom to finish, but then I wouldn’t have been able to hear her moans—and they were getting louder. I might have been able to listen to those from the couch if I had been awake. Gerard was passed out, so he wasn’t going to hear anything. I kept sliding my hand along my shaft, pumping it faster as her moans intensified. I listened to what I was sure was an orgasm—at least the sound of her vocal response—and that was enough for me. Cum surged through my shaft and erupted in my pants. I kept going, even after the first knots of cum left me sticky because I still had more—and she wasn’t quite done. I stroked myself until more cum flooded my pants, then kept going until every drop was drained from my balls. There was silence on the other side of the door. We had both finished. I felt a little guilty but hearing her was too much of a turn-on for me to ignore.
/> I guess I should get cleaned up and go to bed—maybe I can salvage a few hours of sleep out of the rest of this night.
The next morning
“He’s still passed out?” I chuckled as I walked into the living room to see Rachel stretching out for a run.
“Yeah and he stinks—what the hell happened after I went to bed?” She looked at me with concern on her face.
Let’s not talk about the good part—yeah, that needs to stay buried in my memories.
“I think he had a few too many drinks.” I shrugged. “He passed out on the couch, so I just slept in his bed.”
“Wow, I didn’t hear a thing.” She leaned forward to stretch in the opposite direction and seeing her ass in the tight spandex pants made my cock start to get excited.
Yeah, I think you were a little preoccupied at that point.
“He didn’t make too much noise.” I turned away and walked towards the kitchen as my thoughts returned to the noises, she was making the previous night.
“Is this just going to be our thing now?” She walked to the doorway of the kitchen as I started a pot of coffee.
“We have a beer or two, kiss, and then pretend it didn’t happen the next day?” She leaned against the door frame and folded her arms across her chest.
“I guess we can blame it on the alcohol if that makes it easier.” I turned to her and shrugged. “I wasn’t the one that pulled away last night.”
“I know, that’s why I figured you would be the one that brought it up.” She sighed and nodded. “I really need to talk to Gerard. Do you think you can get him up and showered before I get back from my run?”
“I can try.” I nodded quickly. “We have to go to work today—hopefully, he won’t be too hungover.”
Rachel walked towards the door, and I shamelessly stared at her ass until she was out of sight. Maybe our destiny was just to tease each other—kiss, and let the morning leave us with uncertainty. I had no idea what direction we were headed in, and she didn’t either. I went into the living room once the coffee was made with a fresh cup and a bottle of Advil. I managed to get Gerrard to open his eyes and wash down a few pills with coffee. That caused him to sit up and try to make sense of his surroundings. I could tell he didn’t remember a damn thing from the night before, so I quickly filled him in on what happened. That was enough for him to guzzle the coffee and head to the shower. If he was hungover, he was hiding it well. About fifteen minutes later, he walked into the living room dressed for work, but his eyes were totally bloodshot.
“Fuck man, you look rough.” I raised my eyebrows as he approached.
“I feel rough.” He slumped down into a chair, and I took a cup of coffee to him. “I don’t even remember coming home. I sure as fuck hope I didn’t drive.”
“No.” I chuckled under my breath. “You said the bartender wouldn’t let you—but you tried.”
“Damn.” He shook his head back and forth, then grimaced when it undoubtedly made his world spin. “I’m never drinking like that again. It was a stupid idea, to begin with.”
“It must have helped—you no longer seem intent on punching me in the face.” I raised my eyebrows and sat down.
“I’m sorry.” He exhaled sharply. “I know what I had with Rachel was a once in a lifetime thing, and I made the decision to ruin it before it could really begin. If the two of you have a shot at something, then go for it—I’m not going to lose my shit over it again.”
“Thanks, man.” I reached over and patted him on the shoulder. “That means a lot.”
“But…” He lifted his head and looked at me. “I expect the same courtesy from you if by some miracle I get another shot.”
“If that happens, I’ll back off. You have my word.” I nodded quickly.
But after that kiss last night—I’m not so sure she’s going to be running back to your arms, buddy.
“Okay, now that we’ve dealt with that shit, what the fuck are we going to do about Robert Townsend?” Gerard put his hand to his head and grimaced.
“Oh, was I supposed to figure that out on my own?” I shook my head in bewilderment.
“No, but—we have to figure something out.” He lifted his coffee to his lips.
“Right now, I gotta figure out if you used up all the hot water, and Rachel wants to talk to you alone before work.” I pushed up from the table.
“She does?” He blinked in surprise. “Did I do something to her last night when I was drunk?”
“No, but I did tell her about Robert Townsend.” I sighed and shrugged. “She had a right to know.”
“Good. I was planning to tell her myself since we really don’t have a solution to the problem yet.” Gerard sipped his coffee.
I went to take my shower and left Gerard alone in the kitchen to nurse his hangover. I kind of regretted going for a shower so early, because I missed the chance to see Rachel in a sports bra and sweat-soaked spandex possibly, but I didn’t know how long she would be gone. If she didn’t return soon, we could end up being late for work. I assumed I would have to drive Gerard to the Fire Station since his truck was at whatever bar he closed down the night before. We usually carpooled anyway, but we sometimes took separate vehicles if one of us was running late. I wasn’t going to have the luxury of leaving without him. I finished up my shower, changed into my clothes for the day, and when I got back to the living room, I saw Rachel sitting at the table with Gerard. I paused—partially because I was afraid of interrupting them, and partly because I didn’t want to hear something that they were attempting to discuss in private. Unfortunately, I was too close not to listen to what they were saying, so I decided an interruption was the best option. They barely even looked at me when I stepped into the kitchen, but they kept talking.
“I’ve carried this around for a long time.” Rachel sighed and swallowed hard. “I never had any sort of closure with you. I kept waiting for the phone to ring—and while I gave up hope of that happening a long time ago, it damaged my ability to trust other people.”
Oh god, this is an intense conversation. I really wish I had a bedroom I could hide in right now.
“I’m a fucking idiot.” Gerard’s lip twisted into a look of remorse and he shrugged. “Do you know why I didn’t call?”
“Other than the fact you’re an idiot?” Her eyebrows raised. “And an asshole.”
“Yeah, other than those reasons.” He looked like he was about to smirk, but he suppressed it. “The day after we—were intimate—I had a talk with Liam…”
Please tell me he’s not about to blame this on me. I didn’t even know he was dating Billy’s sister!
“Sounds like you should sit down too, Liam.” Rachel shot me a glance over her shoulder—one that said do it and don’t ask any questions.
“I hadn’t seen Billy in a couple of years, and while I knew he’d be pissed if he found out I was dating you, I figured I wasn’t likely to see him anytime soon. The friendship wasn’t gone, but it wasn’t like we were hanging out.” Gerard shrugged. “But that night—the one we spent together—Billy showed up at the club where Liam was partying. He had a pocket full of money, and then, out of nowhere, it was the three of us again. We were hanging out, drinking, and I knew if I called you, I would just end up lying to him about the girl I saw every time we were together.”
Well at least he didn’t blame it on me—except the part where I brought Billy back into our lives, but he was our closest friend, so…
“I think that’s the problem, and part of that is on me.” Rachel nodded. “I shouldn’t have been your dirty secret. If you liked me, you should have just told Billy the truth. I certainly would have. What was he going to do? Get pissed?”
“Uh, Billy was like super protective of you,” I interjected, even though I wasn’t involved in the conversation.
“Excuse me?” Rachel turned towards me. “My brother couldn’t have given two shits about me.”
“Your brother might not have given two shits about most things, but n
ot when it came to you. The second you got tits, he told everyone on the football team he would shank them if they even looked at you—he heard one of the guys commenting.” I nodded, and Gerard backed me up with a similar shake of his head.
“That’s ridiculous.” Rachel shook her head back and forth with a confused look on her face. “He barely even spoke to me once he started high school—unless he was telling me to get out of his way or pick up my stuff off the floor.”
“I don’t know.” Gerard shrugged. “Maybe he had his own way of caring. Either way, he obviously doesn’t give a shit now…”
“No.” Rachel sighed. “No, he doesn’t.”
“So I threw everything away because I respected my friend, retroactively I guess since I pissed all over the friendship the day I asked you out. It just keeps circling back to me being a fucking idiot and an asshole.” Gerard shrugged again and sighed. “The shoe fits, I might as well fucking wear it.”
Gerard got up from the table and walked over to put on his coat. It seemed that the conversation was over. I missed the beginning of their discussion, so I had no idea if there was anything said that truly clarified where they were—except for the fact Gerard was an idiot and an asshole. I probably deserved to wear those two badges of dishonor as well. I knew Gerard used to date her, yet I still made my move—I kissed her even after I saw how much he was tore up over what they had. To top it off, I was focused on my own lust and acting like some kind of horny teenager when we had a very real problem in front of us — one that was going to spiral out of control if we didn’t find a way to fix it. I said goodbye to Rachel and followed Gerard to the truck. We were mostly silent during our ride to the fire department, mainly because I had nothing of substance to say and I knew Gerard was dealing with a brutal hangover.
“There are some eye drops in the glove box if you want to try and not look so hungover when you see the chief.” I extended my hand and pointed as I parked the truck in front of the Fire Station.
