“It’s more than okay. I swear. Now I have another surprise for you.” We walk back to the helicopter hand-in-hand and I’m excited when I notice the checkered blanket that’s spread out over the ground. There’s a nice wicker picnic basket sitting on top. We drop to our knees and open it up to find a bottle of champagne with cheesecake and a few other goodies. So cool!
We spend the next thirty minutes, talking, laughing, kissing, and enjoying one another. When Tony announces it’s time to leave, he graciously packs up, settles us in, and we fly back to LA. I’m content when we land on the rooftop of our elegant hotel and still have twenty minutes to spare to catch the concert.
Thanks to Jet, I made the last concert after all!
Epilogue
JET
It’s been four months since we performed our last encore for the benefit concerts. Since then, Coins for Change has raised forty-five million dollars. I feel this by far is my greatest accomplishment to date. Yes, my music is very important to me, but my roots are who I am and always will be. I’m not the best bassist in the music industry and I might never be. I’m okay with that because at the end of the day, when I take my last breath on this earth, I want everyone to remember me for being a philanthropist and helping as many of the homeless as I could. That’s the legacy I want to leave behind.
In other news, our second album is a wrap and our next tour is scheduled for November of this year. It’s not the individual songs we were hoping for, but the album’s kickass like the first one. We all agreed that we have plenty of time to do one of those collaborations once we have several albums under our belt. We don’t need to rush since we plan on being around for a hell of a lot longer. Maybe as long as The Stones!
Now for the big news: Lucas and Abby set a date and the wedding’s in October. And guess who the best man is? Yep, you got it. That would be me. It’s going to be epic since Willow was kind enough to decline so Quinn could be the Maid of Honor. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Willow, and Quinn’s all right by that. She should be since she holds my heart in her hands.
Forever.
Speaking of which—Quinn and I did get the chance to take a sunset flight with Orbit Tours and that’s when I got down on one knee and proposed to the woman of my dreams. Quinn’s my one true love, the one I never knew I was looking for and never thought I deserved. Just knowing that she embraces my darkness as well as the light makes getting out of bed—instead of the corner of the room—so much easier to endure.
The End
If you enjoyed Jet, you’ll love Willow, Book 3 in The Sinful Seven series. Here’s a sneak peek…
Willow
A wise philosopher once said, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” Well I beg to differ, since it’s been over five years, and not a day goes by where I don’t ache for what could have been. Wishing I could hold you in my arms one last time, before you were so brutally taken away from me.
Not only did I lose the love of my life that day, I lost a piece of my soul that I’ll never get back. And the person who was responsible for it all, was no longer my hero but a monster who destroyed so many lives.
There’s not a person on this earth who can convince me that loving someone is a curse, it’s a blessing. The heart can’t distinguish a person’s age, it just recognizes the euphoria it feels when they’re near.
If it hadn’t been for my bandmates, Lucas, Jet and Trevor, to hold me up, I wouldn’t be here with all of you today. They’re the glue that put all of my jagged pieces back together. Not once, but twice and if I’m being honest, it’s been more times than I care to count. . .

Author’s note
Hey guys and gals! If you started off with Lucas, the first book in The Sinful Seven Series, you must be scratching your head. Yeah, I get it because Jet was by far the hardest book I’ve written to date. This beautiful broken man’s voice was so loud that I knew I needed to be HIS voice so his story could be told.
I’m not a therapist or an expert on abuse of any kind, and I’m not pretending to be. I would never give advice to someone who’s lived through it. With that said, please keep in mind that this is a work of fiction. Yes, I did a lot of research and spoke to several people who were abused, and there are little snippets throughout of their experiences. The only reason I wanted to add an author’s note (which I’ve never done in any of my previous books) was to add several hotline numbers. If only one person is courageous enough to dial a number, then it will not have been in vain.
A big shout out to all of my amazing readers for taking the time to read my books. I strive to make each as personal and one-of-a-kind as possible. We all know that no two people are alike and that’s what makes all of us so unique. Same goes with books!
Am I right?
Love you guys to the moon and back a trillion times ten!
Until next time,
Connie XO
