Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? (The Big Bad Wolf Trilogy Book 1) Page 10

by Janie Marie

He had returned his attention to her ear and nibbled the soft lobe between his hot lips.

“Logan,” she gasped, squeezing her hands as she held his sides. This was like the first time she had chocolate. Better than that, and she wanted more. She wanted the whole candy store!

“Fuck, that was sexy,” he said, chuckling quietly as he nipped her earlobe.

His laugh made her smile, and she enjoyed trailing her fingers up and down his sides, then across his abs. He shivered, kissing her right below her jaw before moving his face back.

He was smiling at her. “This is going to be more fun than I thought.” The sound of a door shutting echoed, and he leaned away, holding out his hand. “Come on. We have a lot to do.”

She took his hand and let him tug her farther into the room after he locked his door. “I don’t know if I can really do it though, Logan. And we need to talk about everything that’s happened.”

He shook his head and squeezed her hand before letting go to turn on music from his phone. He turned the volume up to a decent level so it would block out their voices if anyone were to listen in. “Don’t worry about us fucking yet.”

She bristled at his crudeness, just as she felt a little pain in her chest. “Do you have to say that word?” She started to pull her hood back up while he moved around his room.

“What word?” He didn’t look up as he dug into a small refrigerator by his bed. “Fucking?”

  She blushed again. “Yes.”

He tossed her a water bottle. “Baby, once I get you in bed, your pretty little mouth is going to beg for me to fuck you again and again.”

“I doubt I’ll ask for it. And if I do, I wouldn’t use that word.”

“What word will you use then?” He pulled his shirt up over his head, revealing his sculpted perfectness. Why did he always take it off? “Making love, perhaps?”

Kylie swallowed and looked back up at his face.

“I don’t do love, honey,” he said seriously. “Understand that now. I really don’t want to hurt you. I might act like a dick, but I know that for you, at least, I don’t want you getting your heart broken over me. If you think that’s happening, tell me now. I’ll find some other way to help you, but I’m not looking for a girlfriend.”

His words were like rusty razor blades slicing across her skin. She knew he wasn’t trying to be mean; he was being honest. She wasn’t girlfriend material.

“I’m not going to fall in love with you,” she said to save face.

  He stayed quiet, watching her.

“I won’t. I promise. I love Trevor, remember?” She wanted to slap herself for that blatant lie, but she wouldn’t let him see how she really felt. Trevor was her getaway car, and she’d use him if she had to. Taking it back would make Logan’s offer unnecessary in his mind.

But everything was different now that he’d come into her life. She wasn’t willing to just sit by and add more scars, more pain. There was no way she was going to the cops, but maybe she’d be in better shape when it came time to leave town.

She knew this was a shitty thing to do to herself, but she couldn’t bring herself to care anymore. Not after that taste. She was addicted to him. “What’s the water for?” She shook the bottle to give herself a reason to look away from him. It felt like he could see through her, and she didn’t want him to retract his offer over not hurting her. He would leave if he knew how she felt.

“Take off your hoodie,” was all he said.

  “Why?”

His tone was slightly irritated now. “So you don’t get it all sweaty.”

She sighed, not wanting to make him angry, and began unzipping in front of him while he just stood there, waiting. “Do you have to watch everything I do?” Taking it off terrified her, but she obeyed.

“Hood,” he said in a no-nonsense tone. It made her jerk her head up, so she was looking him in the eye. “You’re beautiful. I just want to see you embrace your beauty.” He stepped forward and traced her bottom lip with his thumb. His eyes moved up to hers. “You really have no idea how attractive you are, do you?”

“Only my father has ever called me beautiful. But all dads say that.” Her eyes hardened, and she moved her face away from his hand. “Don’t play games with me. I just want to do what you offered. Don’t mess with my head.”

A dark look crossed his face and he moved closer, lowering his face to hers. “I told you to trust me. That means when I tell you something, it’s the truth. Don’t question it.” He shook his head and moved away, pointing to the floor. “Lie down.”

  “Why?”

He exhaled and threw a towel down. “We’re going to work out. Now are you going to do as I tell you, or are you going to question every little thing I say? We’ll talk about yesterday later.”

Kylie finished removing her hoodie and set it on his bed, seeing nowhere else to lay it. Then, as she kneeled to where he pointed, she looked up. This was the first time anyone had seen her without her hoodie, and she couldn’t tell what he thought about it. Thoughts of being found pretty didn’t even come these days, but she wanted Logan to think it, even if she was telling herself to not fall for his flattering words.

“Spread the towel out and lie on your back.”

Kylie bit her lip as she spread the towel out. Obviously, he didn’t think too much over seeing her, but she just did as she was told and refused to think about how below his standards she was. She wasn’t even his type—Chris had said so. “Like this?” She was straight as a pencil with her hands balled at her sides.

Logan shook his head and moved to stand by her feet. “Bend your knees and spread your legs.”

“What kind of workout is this?” She did as he asked.

He was still giving her a hard look. “This is just a warm-up,” he said, dropping to his knees between her legs.

Her eyes went wide as he leaned forward and placed his hands on each side of her head, keeping her from any chance of escape.

He wasn’t touching her. His hands were about shoulder width apart, but he was so close. His body heat started to blanket her.

“What kind of warm-up?” She started to shake as he lowered his face.

“Push-ups,” he murmured, then kissed her cheek before pushing up into another one, then another. He was doing push-ups right over her. Right between her legs. “You need to get used to me being close.” He kept doing push-ups, not even sounding strained as he spoke. “People don’t expect me to be with a girl for longer than one night. You’re going to be the exception, and that will get everyone’s attention. We have to look comfortable—like we can’t keep our hands off each other. You can’t look like a nervous rabbit running from a predator.”

He grinned at her hot cheeks and her nervous breaths. “The girl I’d settle down for would be able to satisfy me. So we need to get you in shape.”

  “Okay.” Her voice trembled.

He smiled, and as he lowered himself down, he stayed right above her, hovering over her lips. “Have you ever been kissed, Kylie?”

Unable to look into those deep brown orbs, she squeezed her eyes shut and tried to calm her erratically beating heart. “No,” she replied, tasting his breath around her tongue.

He was still holding himself right above her face. “So you’re willing to have me take it?”

Keeping her eyes sealed shut, she nodded, beyond embarrassed. What seventeen year old walked around without having their first kiss?

“Tell me you want me to have your first kiss, Hood.” The huskiness of his voice made her tummy squeeze, just as it caused her legs to accidentally move inward, squeezing his hips.

“Ah,” she said, panicked, spreading her legs apart again. She was shaking like a frightened bunny.

“Tell me that’s what you want, Hood. Tell me you want me to be your first.”

She felt his lower half press down on hers. “Oh my God.”

“Hood,” he said in a firmer tone.

“I want you to be my first,” she
blurted out.

“First what?” His nose brushed hers, so faintly, almost tenderly.

She knew she needed to stop thinking things like this if she wanted to stand any chance of hiding her feelings. “My everything,” she said with an airy voice. “My first everything.”

His lips instantly covered hers. Shock consumed her at first, but it was quickly replaced with awe and desire. The pressure of his lips pressing against hers was pleasant. Amazing. Perfect!

His initial assault was a hard kiss, but he pulled back almost instantly, making the kiss so faint it was almost non-existent. He kneaded her lips carefully, and it was sweet torture. He wasn’t being forceful—more to the effect that he was asking her to take control if she wanted to. He was letting her be a part of this experience, not just taking what he wanted.

So, sighing, she did just that. Kylie hesitated but lifted her hands from her sides to hold his waist as she returned his kiss. As hard as everything about him was, his lips were soft. His skin was smooth and warm under her fingers. But there was a controlled, maybe possessive, way his lips touched hers as he settled his forearms on each side of her head.

While he apparently wanted her to initiate more, he was quick to take control back.

She had no idea what she was doing, and he must have sensed that. For the moment, though, she wasn’t letting her inexperience slow her down. When he flicked his tongue across her lips, she opened her mouth, instantly rewarded with his tongue slipping in to meet hers.

  Better than chocolate!

She let go of all her insecurities for this tiny moment to drown in everything that was Logan, and she took all that was being presented to her. He tasted like mint, and while his mouth felt hot on hers, the coolness from his earlier drink had left a slight chill on his tongue. It was heaven.

Each flick of his tongue, every nibble on her lip, she savored and copied—not at all caring whether she was doing her part right or not.

He chuckled, causing her to open her eyes and stop moving her hands. She had her whole body arched up toward his while she was doing everything in her power to pull him down more.

“Not bad for your first kiss,” he murmured against her mouth.

Her face heated up as she tried to calmly release her grip on him. Logan lifted his face away by only inches as he stared down at her, slowly licking his lips. She watched the action in wonder. They were fuller now, a bit red even. And her embarrassment grew as she remembered biting and sucking his lip after he had done it to her.

He grinned, situating his hands back into a push-up position. “What’s wrong, Hood?”

She closed her eyes and breathed out as he resumed his push-ups as if they hadn’t just participated in a mini make-out session. Her first make-out session.

She stayed silent with her head turned away from his. That was until he lowered his mouth to nibble on her neck. Shooting her eyes open, she shoved at his chest. He laughed but moved away after her shoves grew weak. Really, she would give anything to have him put his mouth all over her body, but the pool of desire cooled its waters as he acted completely unfazed.

“Tell me what’s wrong.” He gave her a warning look as he resumed his workout.

His abrupt shifts in actions and words had her emotions all over the place. It was like running a relay just to keep up with him. After a few more seconds, she finally sighed and answered, “I feel stupid.”

  “Why’s that?”

She wondered how many push-ups he had done but shook her head and looked him in the eye. “Because I have no idea what I’m doing, and you let me get carried away like an idiot. And I kinda feel like a slut.”

He laughed, bringing his knees to rest on the ground between her bent legs while he placed his palms over her knees. “You’re not a slut.” He laughed again. “And you did fine. A little more practice and you’ll be a pro.”

She gave him a disbelieving look. “I did not do fine.”

“Why do you think you did bad?” His hands slowly began to rub up and down her calves.

It was distracting and wonderful. She had to force her eyes to stay on his. “I don’t know,” she said, proud that she didn’t stutter. All she could think about was how hot he was making her body feel.

“Believe me, the kiss was good. Much better than my first kiss. I remember I was nervous, so I picked a girl I didn’t like—that way it wouldn’t bother me if I was bad at it. I was good, even if she wasn’t.” He smirked. “Gave me confidence to go after the girl I did want.”

“Gross.” She was put off by that fact. Logan had been around, and he’d likely still be prancing girls in and out of his bed and locker room while they did whatever they were doing.

  “Jealous, baby?”

“No.” She smacked his hands, angry now. Yes, she was jealous.

He just snickered at her glare and gripped her legs harder.

“Let go,” she demanded. “Let’s just finish this workout or whatever it is. I don’t want to talk about the stupid kiss anymore. Or how many girls you’ve kissed. I get it, I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ll learn. Even if I’m never as good as one of those girls that wait outside your locker room.”

  “Give me your hand.”

“What?” She didn’t understand how he could calmly demand something of her after her rant.

“I want to show you something. Give me your hand.”

Slowly, she held out her right hand, which he grabbed in a firm grip.

He started lowering his face again, bracing himself with his free hand as he guided the one he held toward his stomach. “I told you to believe what I tell you. Trust me. I won’t lie to you.” He lowered his lips to just above hers again, making her a little dizzy with his scent and the promise of what could happen if those lips touched hers. “This.” He moved her hand down over his pants.

She felt a hardness that wasn’t there before, and it grew more when she gasped and involuntarily gripped the shaft.

He grunted and brushed his lips across hers. “This is what your kiss did to me.”

She moaned low in her throat and wrapped her hand around him more, sliding it down his growing length.

He exhaled slowly, adding, “These lips are mouth-watering. I’ve wanted to taste them from the moment you spoke to me.”

“Really?” Her voice was breathy, and her eyes closed as she moved her hand up and down. She didn’t even know she was doing it. She was just so caught up by him. It was as if everything she would normally do vanished around him. He brought down all her walls—all her fear and anxiety.

“Mhm.” He kissed her softly. “You’re going to kill me.” His hips jerked forward, which caused the back of her hand to rub between her legs.

“Ah,” she moaned, never having felt such an amazing sensation before.

Logan groaned, thrusting into her palm, but he pulled away quickly. “Damn, this is going to hurt later.”

Kylie snapped her eyes open at his withdrawal, finally realizing her actions, and let go.

He laughed and pushed himself back to his knees, starting to stand. “You’re adorable, Hood. And don’t pout.”

She fixed her shirt as she sat up, hoping her hot cheeks weren’t as red as they felt.

He chuckled and held out his hand to pull her up. “Believe me, I want to keep going too. But you’re not ready for that, and I’m not going to dry hump you on my floor.”

“Shut up, please.” She groaned and rubbed her face.

  “Have you ever masturbated?”

Kylie’s eyes widened, and she moved away from him after she was standing. “What kind of question is that?” She crossed her arms over her chest, attempting to hide herself.

He shook his head after guzzling down a whole bottle of water, then gestured between her legs. She refused to even look at his. Would he still be hard?

“An important one. You’re acting like you’ve never felt anything like that. How do you expect to pull off having sex with me if you’ve never had an orgasm? People
can pick up on that kind of shit.”

She was too horrified to respond to what he was suggesting. “Well, I figured your offer meant I wouldn’t be pretending.”

He laughed and tossed his bottle away. “Fine,” he said easily. “I’m still not gonna let us fuck until I think you’re ready though. And we’ll have to wait until you’re eighteen. I’m too sexy for prison.”

  “You’re so conceited.”

He smirked, and it made her tingle between her legs. “Baby, when you’ve got the goods to back it up, it’s not conceited—it’s just fact.”

“Whatever,” she muttered, knowing it was best not to get into a debate about his hotness.

“Good. Now, give me thirty jumping jacks.” He plopped himself down on his bed while she stared at him like he was crazy. “Quit wasting time, Hood. You’ve got to get in shape. Go. I have to think about our little problem for a minute.”

Problem? She wanted to hit him. It wasn’t like she was the only girl to not have an orgasm at her age. A girl was usually a slut if she knew so much before she was eighteen. It couldn’t be as big a deal as he was making it out to be.

  “I’m waiting, Hood.”

She eyed him, noticing how his jaw twitched with aggravation and his eyes strained just a tiny bit, hiding his anger. It clicked, and she knew exactly what he was trying to do. He knew she was hiding her pain, and he was pushing her to confess.

His eyes challenged her to come up with an excuse not to obey him, but she wasn’t going to let him win. Not yet, at least.

“Fine,” she said, glaring at his dark eyes, and lifted her arms.

It hurt. A lot. Every jolt of her body as she completed a single jumping jack felt like being stabbed and beaten.

Logan sat like a statue, watching her struggle, her face no doubt scrunched up in pain. She finally whined on her twentieth one before shedding a single tear.

“Are you done pretending you’re not hurt?” He sounded calm, but he wasn’t.

She tried to do another but only cried out. Maybe she was as weak as he thought.

  “Enough, Kylie.”

She stopped and tried to rub her tears, but the pain nearly had her collapsing.

“Come here.” His hard voice was frightening, but she obeyed, stumbling until she stood in front of where he sat.
